Frozen Heart Part 5
Chapter 41: Olaf: The Ancient Questions
Olaf looked at his precious painting with a bad feeling in his stomach. Ever since he had hugged Anna, he felt his friends leave him or change to something he did not recognize, something he had hoped to never experience.
He kept looking at the picture of Anna giving a big smile. They had not talked to each other since Anna told Olaf that she was not going to hug him again, and he did not know what to think about it. Olaf felt he deserved to be talked to like that since he had treated Anna so badly and yet.
By the time he had hugged her, she had felt quite different to the point that he had thought that Anna was a very different person!
The one he talked to the most now was Elsa as Sven worked on the ice order that the Sultan had ordered. Olaf walked over to his bookshelf that Elsa had given him, and looked over the titles of the books he had gotten his hands on.
Most of his books were about amazing adventures and magic, and some of the books were about fairy tales and short stories. He had cried himself to sleep after reading the story "The Little Match Girl".
Some of his books dealt with ancient legends of long-forgotten castles, knights, kings, and queens whose tales most people would never know until these legends would finally fade away forever.
Olaf, however, kept them alive. He found it almost his duty to keep these legends alive, so he told them to the little children so that they could remember them. He had read in a book that the people who could not remember history were only doomed to repeat the same mistakes again.
The book titled, "An age long since Passed" had become Olaf's favorite book, and he enjoyed reading about events that apparently happened thousands of years ago. Some of the chapters in the book did not just talk about amazing stories that took place, but the legendary people of wisdom that had lived in that age and some of the chapters were about the last words people had said as they were dying. Some chapters dealt with ancient rituals long since forgotten and legendary creatures that disappeared out of history!
Olaf enjoyed reading about it all. He picked up the book, sat down in his favorite chair and started reading. He had come to a new chapter called "The Sorcerer Who Fainted," which was a short chapter.
Long ago, six wizards decided to create a council made up of only them and their kind. One day, one of the sorcerers fell to the ground and received a vision, and he began to mutter words and phrases that did not make sense to the others. The words and phrases that came out of the magician's mouth were as such, "Winter is the key, the Queen's power is not natural, snakes in the castle, darkness falls, Queen unleashes destruction upon herself, two sister's separate paths, the architect is behind it all, the Black Box, smoke and fire, the prison of the Djinn, Legion, Zuldrak! The sorcerer died an hour later after receiving the vision after his brothers tried to wake him up again, but he had gone to a deep sleep, and he never woke up again.
Olaf put the book back in its place and tried to memorize the words so that he could tell it to the children the next day. Then he went to the fireplace and sat down by the fire. He was sure he was somehow mocking the fire as he was protected by Elsa's cloud, and it made him smile a little.
He decided that he would visit Elsa again.
While he was at it, he could talk a little more with the mysterious Nell that he had received a warm hug from, when he first met her.
She had been so desperate to meet Elsa the first time he had seen her, and surely, she had calmed down now. After all, Elsa had allowed her to remain in the castle for the moment as a sign of gratitude after Nell had warned her of Hans´s sadistic takeover of the Southern Isles.
The thing Olaf remembered best about Nell was her green eyes. To him, it felt like staring into summer itself, as if summer itself had eyes. Olaf looked at the painting again. He did not want to lose Anna as a friend, he did not want to lose any of them, and he convinced himself to apologize to Anna for the way he had treated her, even though he would still feel uneasy about her when he could feel something about her that was different.
"Maybe it was only my imagination!" he said to himself. "Maybe it was just me dreaming about it. Anna did not deserve the way I treated her. This painting was made with my true friends and now it has lost some of its value because I judged Anna! I should not have done that!"
Olaf needed fresh air on his face, so he went outside and went for a long walk along the beach. He stopped quite suddenly while almost jumping and was ready to throw his head away.
"Two sisters' separate paths."
"Could this prophecy be related to Elsa and Anna?" he asked himself. "After all, they are sisters and according to the text, the Queen's power is not natural, and Elsa has her special gift."
As he thought about it more, he realized that it could be that the wizard's words had no connections to the two sisters, and it was ridiculous to think so! However, what if the text really were connected to them?
Another question formed in his mind, as Elsa was very special, but her sister did not possess the same abilities that Elsa had, which could only mean one thing: That there were secrets about Elsa that needed to be solved!
Olaf only needed to ask a certain person, and then he could find out if the former queen had difficulty getting pregnant, but he could almost imagine the answer. If the Queen had difficulty in having children in a normal way, then that might explain Elsa's powers.
A terrifying thought suddenly hit him, for what if the former king and queen of Arendelle were not Elsa's real parents!
"Maybe I am just putting a lot of thoughts on ridiculous speculations!" Olaf said to himself.
What if the chapter in the book really matched current events, which he had to know the answer to!
He had to tell someone about it. He knew what he had to do!
He had to ask Kai about it!
Olaf rushed up to the castle as fast as he could and went looking for Kai, whom he found in the dining room, where he was currently dusting off a shelf.
"Hi Kai," Olaf said and went over to Kai so he could get his hug.
"Olaf, please, how are you?" Kai replied.
"I am fine Kai, but I was wondering if I could ask you some questions?"
"Yes, you can ask, and I will see if I have the answers."
"Do Elsa and Anna have different mothers?"
"No, they do not!" Kai replied.
"And you are quite sure of that?"
"Yes, I am very sure Olaf. I helped bring Elsa and Anna into this world, so of course I am sure," Kai replied.
Olaf continued, "I just find it mysterious that Elsa has her powers, but Anna does not. Did the queen have trouble getting pregnant in the first place?"
"The king and queen were married when they were both very young. Ten years would pass before they had their first child, but I think the reason they waited ten years was because they were very young and maybe they were not ready for such a responsibility."
"I think the servants could have helped them raise the children."
"They could only raise the future king or queen themselves. I must admit that Elsa being locked up was probably not the best idea, but they did it out of love for both their children and to keep them both safe."
"I think it was more out of fear Kai."
Kai nodded, "That too, but I think the king and queen believed that what they did was the right thing to do, and that is all that matters."
"Kai, what can you tell me about the queen herself?"
"What do you mean?"
"How was the Queen?"
"Queen Iduna was deeply loved by the entire kingdom. She was the sister of the current Queen of Corona and she always had something good to say about everyone."
Olaf walked over to a window and looked outside. It was a rainy day with a gray sky showing no indications that the rain would stop again.
Olaf said, "I find it hard to imagine that there is no more to this. Elsa and Anna are two sisters who love each other a lot and yet so different from each other both in the way they think and behave, but also how they look."
"What do you mean?" Kai asked.
"I bet if the King and Queen had a third child, that child would have been born with red hair and without any powers!"
"Do you suggest what I think you are suggesting Olaf?"
"Yeah, you probably do! I am just thinking aloud, I am not going to make any accusations, but what if the queen had another lover?"
"That is an outrageous thought, Olaf!"
"But is it? You never noticed anything mysterious about the former queen?"
"I cannot seem to remember anything, oh my..."
"What is it?" Olaf said, feeling a sense of excitement.
"There was a time when the king and queen came home to the castle after a long day's journey. Something had gone wrong on the trip and the queen had been separated from the king and the rest of her escort. She was missing for half a day when the royal escort finally found her again. It happened in the forest, and the queen was very familiar with it, so it should not have taken so long for her to find her way back, but it did.
All the guards were sent to training. I remember many problems came out of it, but about nine months later after this incident, Queen Iduna gave birth to Elsa."
"What if she saw someone in those woods?" Olaf asked.
"I find it hard to imagine that the Queen was a prostitute and had another lover, I do not think she would have done that. I do not think she did that."
"I try not to disrespect her memory, but it is just that Elsa has her powers, but it seems that no one has asked why that could be. Why does she have them, and what happened to the queen in that forest? It is all very mysterious; do you not think so?"
"I think it is Olaf, but right now I do not have time for your questions anymore. Elsa is a good ruler, she cares for her people, and that is all that matters, nothing more and nothing else. Elsa's parents have been dead for a long time now and whatever secrets the Queen had or may not have had, went down with her ship."
"I think it matters, Kai, because if Elsa was not the king's daughter, then Elsa has no right to the throne."
Kai stopped dusting things and looked at Olaf, and Olaf knew Kai never had thought about that before!
"I thank you for the information, Kai, I think I will go and see Nell."
"You will find her in the kitchens where she is currently having lunch."
Olaf rushed to the kitchen so he could learn more about this Nell person, whom he had only met once, and he was dying to get to know her more. She seemed so nice and sweet, and the green eyes of her, could conquer all.
He arrived in the kitchen but decided it would be best to wait so he did not interrupt everyone's lunchtime. Finally, the waiters finished and went back to their normal duties. Nell was the only one in the kitchen when it was her turn to clean up.
"Hello, Nell, how are you? Can I have a warm hug? "
He saw that Nell had almost dropped the salad plates after getting a shock.
"Smooth motion, Olaf!" he thought to himself.
"I did not see you there. For that reason, you can get a hug," Nell said.
They hugged each other for two seconds.
"So, Olaf, what are you doing here?"
"I just wanted to check on you and get to know you better."
"Check on me. Are you a spy sent by the Queen?"
"No, I am not, but I just wanted to get to know you a bit better Nell if you do not mind."
"I do not mind, Olaf!"
"That is good! I will help you with the dishes."
There they stood side-by-side, washing and cleaning up.
"So, Nell, I wondered how you have been. The last time I saw you when you first came to the castle; you had a lot on your mind. How about now?"
"It has not been difficult to adapt to my new surroundings."
Olaf felt she was lying about it
"Everything is going well," Nell said.
"I am glad to hear it my friend. And everyone treats you nicely?"
"Yes, they do Olaf, I have never been..."
Nell did not finish her sentence when she suddenly and a little unexpectedly threw up on the floor.
"God, I will just clean this up"
Olaf had spent enough time with children and their parents to know why women were vomiting suddenly without warning. His eyes found her stomach, and the more he thought about it, the more he realized Nell was pregnant.
"Nell, are you pregnant?"
Nell froze in place.
"Are you pregnant Nell?" Olaf asked again.
"Yes, I am!"
"The Queen needs to hear about this, and we have to celebrate..."
Before he could finish his sentence, Nell had put her hands on his shoulder and stared into his eyes, and then she said, "Olaf promise me you will not tell anyone! Promise me you will not tell the queen! You can talk to Anna about it because she already knows, but whatever you do, promise me you will not tell Elsa. Please Olaf, I beg you not to say it!"
"Okay, okay, I promise not to tell."
Nell gave him a kiss on the forehead and then she said, "Thanks Olaf."
"No problem, Nell. I want to see Anna about this. Do not worry about anything!"
He left the kitchen to find Anna. He wondered who the child's father was and suddenly he realized it had to be Hans´s when Nell proclaimed that he almost had raped her.
It could only be a lie!
"She protects the enemy´s son under our roof," Olaf said to himself. "The Queen should definitely hear about this right after I confirm that Anna is a traitor!"
After all, Elsa was his mother, whom he would die to protect if things came to that!
Chapter 42: Isa: The Good Sister And The Bad One
"I am just nervous about my sister that is all!" Anna said.
"Many people are nervous about her my princess and they have good reasons to be! She was indirectly responsible for two deaths. Anita and Matilda, and as if that was not enough, they were also my family!"
Anna made a loud gasp!
"Really?" Anna asked with a shocked expression on her face.
Isa did not know why she had chosen to reveal that bit of information about herself, but the more she thought about it, the more she realized that it was probably the best thing she could have said. Back in the woods, she had been consumed with vengeance, and she had felt like tearing the Queen's heart right out of her chest, but Isa would be better than that.
As they rode side by side, Isa had learned a little about Anna.
Anna had talked about her years of isolation from her sister, and the many years Elsa had spent in her own room hidden from the world. As Isa heard more and more about these two sisters' past, she began to understand why Elsa had lost control of her powers in the first place, and it dawned on Isa that the sisters might not be bad people. That is why she revealed the truth about her own family.
Isa wanted to break the ice and in this way, her dark thoughts would be cleared from her mind. Isa believed that Anna was one of the happy types of people who had to try everything, and enjoyed life to the fullest. Isa could see a little of herself in Anna, or what she used to be, had it not been for the loss of her child, she would have done everything Anna liked to do.
They rode through the forest, which were filled with summer colors. The green grass covered the ground beneath them and from the top of the trees, birds were singing, creating a peaceful atmosphere on that hot summer day. Isa felt the warm wind blow through her hair, and she got off her horse and went to a small hill overlooking the city of Arendelle.
Anna followed her and sat down next to Isa. From here, they could see how the town had become a city as it was ever expanding. Under Elsa's rule, the trade between Arendelle and Corona and the Northern Kingdom had improved. The trade was better than ever, and from where they were sitting, they could see all the construction projects currently underway. They could see how the builders were currently building several houses to accommodate all the families that was moving to Arendelle permanently.
They came to Arendelle from all the other kingdoms, except from the Southern Isles that had become a military state. Isa knew that Arendelle would continue to grow with its military, and these people brought many different cultures, from different places of origin, that would become a permanent part of Arendelle. Arendelle would soon be a center of civilization, learning, culture and military might, and this was happening under one queen.
It could be dangerous as people saw other people's cultures as a wrong culture to have. Still, it was nothing to worry about for now, but it could very well be a problem in the future.
Anna spoke: "I like this place, Isa; it is a good place you have found."
"Well, this is the first time I have been here too. I wonder why I did not notice this place before, for the view is magnificent."
"Isa, can I ask you a question?"
"What kind of question is it?"
"A personal one."
Isa thought for a second, but then she said, "I do not mind. What is your question?"
"I wondered what you really think of us, my sister and me. What do you think of us? Are we good rulers for the people?"
Isa thought for a second, but then she replied, "I think most people really want your sister to be without her powers. Your sister is seen as dangerous, and Anita's death and her child did not help."
Anna said, "People do not know our story, not fully, people can..."
However, before Anna finished her sentence, a terribly loud scream was heard, and Isa and Anna stared down at the city, trying to see where the scream had come from. What they saw made them freeze on that hot summer day.
They could see that a woman was being pulled by her long black hair against a platform built in the center of the market. The guard who pulled her by the hair had a thick layer of amour on, when he suddenly stopped and lifted the woman up by her neck.
The guard was many heads taller than the screaming woman was, and he hit her in the face twice with his armored gloves. It stopped her screaming, but Isa and Anna could not see if she was dead or not and Isa and Anna ran fast towards their horses, got up on them, and the horses were riding as fast as the wind, almost as if they knew where their riders wanted to go.
Isa and Anna arrived in Arendelle two minutes later and after getting off their horses, ran as fast as they could towards the central stage of the market. They saw two other guards making a noose with a rope, then the guards went up on the platform and looked up at the beam of wood that would serve as the gallows, and then they tied the rope to it and checked if the rope would support the woman's weight.
Isa saw Elsa approach the center stage with her guards flanking her with their swords drawn, ready to kill those who would be stupid enough to try to stop this execution. The poor woman began to regain consciousness as the rope was tied tight around her neck, ever so tightly.
The woman tried to scream, but no sound came from her because of the tight rope around her neck.
A large crowd had gathered, and Isa heard them shout, "Leave her alone! She has done nothing against you!"
"This is where you are wrong!" Elsa replied as the big and tall guard went over and was ready to pull the lever.
It would be a brief fall and a sudden stop that would kill the woman, but suddenly Elsa said, "No, I will have it done another way, Gerhard."
"So that is the name of the great guard!" Isa said to herself as she watched the scene unfold.
"I want you to pull the rope up instead, so she hangs high in the air instead. It is slow and more painful, but a traitor deserves nothing less."
Isa saw that Anna had approached Elsa and she could hear her ask, "My sister, what kind of betrayal has this woman done?"
"She is from the Southern Isles, and she was trying to get information on the castle layout, now that is something I will not forgive!"
"But Elsa..."
"NOT ANOTHER WORD, ANNA!" Elsa shouted with a voice full of authority, and Anna was silent.
Gerhard went over to the rope, grabbed it, and began to walk backwards, resulting in the woman being pulled high into the air by her neck and she was gasping for breath. She kicked her legs wildly and they could hear the beam screaming, as if it was cracking.
"You two..." Gerhard shouted, pointing to the other guards, "Come here and hold this rope down!"
They did as they were commanded to do, and Gerhard grabbed the woman's kicking legs and held them in place as she slowly suffocated. Isa noticed that something seemed wrong with Gerhard.
His face turned red, and she could see his lips move, and she was almost certain she could hear him say, "Yes, yes, yes, yes," and while he did, he closed his eyes, and Isa could hardly believe what she saw.
He had an orgasm while life was leaving the dying woman!
Isa had heard tales of this kind of depravity, but she never expected to see it for real. She had heard about people being turned on by pain, and she had heard that some people liked being choked, but killing people turned Gerhard on.
She could still hear the hung woman gasping for air, but then the woman's body became still. She was dead and Isa wondered if Gerhard had ejaculated at that moment.
There came a stench as the bodily waist and pee left the dead woman´s body and Queen Elsa smiled, but then she said, "That is what I have been up to people in Arendelle! I am doing the best I can to make sure you are comfortable and never lacking anything, and yet my spies tell me about those who would rather see me dead than alive! For those I say I pray that you leave my kingdom and never return. If you do not, you will see what happens when I punish your family right in front of you. I know who you are!"
Isa saw how the citizens looked at their queen with a frightened look on their faces.
"I will no longer stand for those of you who have whispered poisonous words into other people's ears."
Isa saw another woman heading towards Anna and Elsa.
"I wonder who she is," Isa said to herself."
"The death of Anita and her child was an unfortunate accident, but it was an accident, and I will not suffer treason from within my own kingdom!"
Isa saw the woman looking at Elsa with panic written all over her face. She had done so as soon as the Queen had mentioned Anita's name.
"Who is this woman?" Isa asked herself. "Did she know Anita?
Isa saw the woman return to the castle with tears in her eyes and she saw how Anna followed right behind her and how she put her arm around the woman's shoulder to comfort her over something.
Elsa approached Gerhard, who was kneeling before his queen.
"Gerhard, from this day until the end of your days, I want you to become one of my knights. Do you accept this title and all the responsibilities that come with such title?"
"I do my queen; I am yours to command. Say a name and I will give you blood!"
"It will not be necessary, not yet at least. Let the body hang on the gallows for a few days and kill those trying to take possession of the body."
"It will be done my queen!" Gerhard replied.
Isa wondered what Gerhard would do with the body when he finally took it down. Did he get his way with it?
Isa could not believe that Elsa would call a creature like him a knight.
"Just why?" Isa asked herself and suddenly she realized Gerhard was looking at her and he did not take his eyes off her.
Feeling violated, Isa left the marketplace and headed home.
She just wanted to feel Kevin's arms around her as he hugged her tightly, and that was something she was looking forward to, just wanting to be safe. She felt that the two sisters were opposites of one another. Anna was the good sister, while her sister was the bad one. Even if that woman had been guilty of being a spy, then there had been no reason to kill her like that.
There had been no reason.
She found herself hating Elsa again, but she could not hate Anna, now when she had gotten to know her. How she wished that Anna was the Queen instead of Elsa, then there would probably have been more justice in the kingdom, but since a tyrant ruled Arendelle, she could only hope that Anna could control her sister or try to get rid of her.
She would gladly help Anna with this honorable goal if she got the chance!
Chapter 43: Nell: A Horrible Truth
Nell was laying on her bed in her room and she was currently reading the logbook. She had finally found the time to read it, and what she was reading now was amazing revelations to her. The logbook consisted of the names of those who had served aboard "The Time Bandit", but it also contained a diary and details of all "The Time Bandit's travels.
Captain Cliff had written the diary.
New entry: I am looking forward to venture out to sea and I have already acquired a crew. They all seem to be good people, though some of them seem a little rough around the edges. I must keep an eye on them. I do not need a mutiny right now.
New entry: I spent last night celebrating with the crew before heading out to sea. I found myself a lovely white woman with the face of an angel that I spent many hour with and if it were not because I was already married, I would have married her right there! God, I am going to miss the coast already!
New entry: I sit here at night writing down my troubled thoughts in the pages of this journal. We were sailing and nothing happened outside, but I felt tired and went to my cabin to get an hour of sleep, but I almost wished I did not. The dream I had leaves me with great concern. I have dreamed of a young woman who did not have a face, and suddenly I saw my crew drowning in icy waters. Their faces expressed such panic that I thought it was real, but when I woke up, I was happy to see that my crew was alive and well. That dream of mine just seemed so real.
New entry: I have heard people talk about premonitions. I hope that is not true. I went over to the mirror in my cabin and just for a second, I thought I saw a shadow with red eyes.
Nell felt a little scared.
"Is it me he saw in his dreams?" she asked herself.
It was true that the crew had all drowned, but Cliff had not thought the dreams were real, but now as she read the book, she realized that Cliff's dreams had come true. She felt agitated because of this.
Nell felt like she was only a piece on someone else's chessboard.
"What about the shadow he mentioned?" she asked herself. "I am sure he was just tired, but his dreams were real. I have a bad feeling about this."
She turned a few pages and read some descriptions of the weather conditions. Then she noticed that there was a phrase written in the top right of one of the pages.
She is the chosen one.
Then she heard raised voices coming from outside the castle walls. Curious about what was going on; Nell went outside and approached the market. What she saw made her feel sick and she moved her hands downward to her stomach as if to protect the child from the horror that was happening in front of her eyes.
Elsa spoke: "That is what I have been up to people in Arendelle! I am doing the best I can to make sure you are comfortable and never lacking anything, and yet my spies tell me about those who would rather see me dead than alive! For those I say I pray that you leave my kingdom and never return. If you do not, you will see what happens when I punish your family right in front of you. I know who you are!"
Nell saw how the citizens looked at their queen with a frightened look on their faces, and she understood why.
Nell realized that it might be her turn to hang high. She did have a secret that she was keeping from the Queen, and something told her she had to get away from Arendelle before it became more dangerous, for she doubted that Anna could protect her from the Queen's anger.
Elsa kept speaking: "I will no longer stand for those of you who have whispered poisonous words into other people's ears. The death of Anita and her child was an unfortunate accident, but it was an accident, and I will not suffer treason from within my own kingdom!"
Nell could not think. Her brain refused to think. Nell had a feeling that the world was ending, as if everything was ending. She could not handle the truth. She did not want to admit it!
First the brute in the burning inn and now the queen. It had to be the same Anita. It had to be her long lost sister, and her sister had died, and she had a child who was dead too!
At that point, Nell realized that she had been an aunt and suddenly she was not.
The world became too cruel for her, in that moment, she suddenly felt a hand on her shoulder, and an almost whispering voice said, "Nell, are you okay? You are so pale."
Nell saw that it was Anna and without thinking about it, she gave Anna's hand a squeeze.
"Anna, I have to get out of here!"
"Come on, we will go back to your room!"
Once they were back in Nell's room, they immediately sat down on the big bed, and Nell noticed the worried, but serious look Anna had on her face.
"What is going on?" Nell asked with a trembling voice.
"Listen to me Nell. Elsa is so furious at Hans that she is willing to hurt his child!"
Nell felt her mouth dry and felt her eyes blur in and out of focus, she went to the window, opened it, and threw up her breakfast, which consisted of bread, eggs, and bacon.
"I am sorry about that princess, that I..."
She did not finish the sentence for the last part of the meal came up. Anna moved some of Nell's black hair away from Nell's mouth or Nell would have had hair with vomit in it!
"Do not worry about it Nell. It is okay. You do not have to worry about anything!"
Nell felt as if that man in the inn, had hit her again, and she feared all the problems she was getting into.
Nell did not know how, but she found herself in her own bed after she stopped vomiting and she had calmed down a bit.
Anna sat next to her watching her.
"Nell, I will not let Elsa hurt you or your child! It will be over my dead body; do you hear me?"
Nell replied," Yes my princess, words cannot describe how grateful I am."
Anna leaned down and gave Nell a small kiss on her forehead.
"You are a beautiful person, Nell. Not just outside, but also inside where it counts. I cannot imagine the things that Hans did to you."
Nell began to cry and found herself getting a hug from Anna.
"It is okay; no one will hurt you again. I will not allow it! Can you believe it?"
"The things he did to me, I was powerless to fight back, there was no one to help me, and now I know what happened to Anita!"
"Did you know Anita?"
Anna was surprised.
"She was my sister and your sister had something to do with her death."
Anna was silent and looked at her with big round eyes.
After a long silence Anna said, "I cannot express how sad I am, now that I know Anita was your sister too, but I..."
Nell interrupted: "I want to know where they are buried."
"Anita and her daughter were burned on a funeral pyre made by her husband Miko, and their ashes spread with the wind. Miko disappeared shortly after, and we have not seen him since."
"Anna, that day where I was in the burning inn in the Southern Isles, I was knocked out. The man that knocked me out, I am sure that was Miko. He deduced my identity that I was Anita´s sister. I think Miko was the one helping Hans in his takeover. It could only have been her husband. He is the one working together with Hans, and he has turned against this kingdom and against your sister."
Nell cried for a long time while Anna hugged her close against her body and Nell slowly calmed down and Nell felt so tired that she almost fell asleep. Anna made Nell lay down completely on the bed with her head resting against the soft pillows. Anna, still wearing her normal daily clothes, lay next to Nell, holding her tightly.
"I promise you Nell, if this is the last thing I do in this life, I will not let anyone ever hurt you again! Sleep now and regain some of your strength. I must warn Elsa about Miko´s betrayal."
"Wait, before you go, that man, the hunchback, I do not trust him."
"I do not trust him either, but he made sure my sister could sleep without having nightmares!"
"What happened to his face anyway?"
"His face?"
"Yeah, it looks like he was hit with a shovel."
"I think you have been daydreaming Nell, but given all the things that has happened to you, I understand. His face is normal, even beautiful. I need you to sleep sweet love. You need it!"
Nell fell asleep shortly after. She woke up to another knock on her door. Nell got out of bed, walked over and opened the door.
Nell's heart almost stopped in place.
Elsa stood before her, mighty, graceful, and dangerous. Elsa gave Nell a brief hug and she stepped into the room.
"Hi Nell" Elsa said calmly. "My sister tells me you felt sick, so I just wanted to know how you were doing now."
Nell's heart was running like a horse on a racetrack as she stood next to the queen. Nell found it hard to imagine that the Queen, who looks so fair, would hurt her and her unborn child. Nell could only hope that she could hide the truth from Elsa.
"Your grace, I feel a little better now! I thank you for your concern."
Nell was sure that Elsa was trying to read her thoughts, and she was trying her best to hide them from her.
"So, Nell, how do you enjoy living here in the castle? Have you got to know your full surroundings yet?"
"I have your majesty! As soon as I am a little better, I will start working immediately."
"It is good to know you are so serious about working! Truly, I need more young women like you Nell. Your parents must have been very proud of you!"
"They were your majesty. They were killed in an accident."
"Just like my own parents," Elsa continued. "They were lost at sea. I remember the last thing my father told me that everything was going to be fine."
"My father´s last words were: "Sweet dreams Nellie."
"Your father called you Nellie?"
"Yes."
"Nell, I want you to answer a very important question now, do you understand?"
"Yeah, what is the question?"
"How big is the Southern Isles Navy?"
Nell had often been at the harbor, and the image of the whole fleet was not something a person forgot again.
"There were at least two hundred strong ships last time I was at the docks."
"Two hundred?"
Elsa looked like someone had hit her hard.
"Anna told me that a former resident of Arendelle, Miko was with Hans. She told me that it was Miko, you have encountered in the inn. Miko knows this kingdom. There is no telling how much damage he could cause, I need to think about this!" Elsa said, leaving the room and a relieved Nell behind, who was grateful the Queen had not asked her any more questions.
"Anna, I am counting on you!" she said to herself and entered the corridor and began to clean the floor, while wondering why the hunchback´s face had not appeared normal to her, as it did to everyone else.
"It was quite strange indeed," she thought to herself.
Chapter 44: Miko: A Troubled Mind
The red roses filled the garden with a sweet scent that helped Miko find peace within himself. He had to give it to the late Queen, she had done a fantastic job with these gardens and within his mind, he thanked her for it, for it was a good place to go, if one wanted to be alone with their own thoughts.
Miko had not seen Hans for a while, and he was happy. Hans had already sent over five hundred people to his break rooms and over half of those people had died. Hans did not stop until every person in the Southern Isles had bowed before him, and Miko found himself wondering about his´s master´s choice in Hans as an agent of destruction.
Hans was really a monster, but he was also a strategic genius, and Miko could not stop admiring that. Hans was able to make plans and bend people to his will, and those he could not bend would die by his own hands or sent them to the break rooms.
As Miko's gaze fell on the mermaid statue, he thought of his master, hoping he could telepathically contact him.
Suddenly he heard the voice in his head, "Miko, I can feel your thoughts on me. Is there something wrong?"
"Master, I wondered about Hans. That guy is insane, and the people of the Southern Isles are suffering for it!"
"I do not care about the people. What do they do, but cry and complain when something goes wrong for them? People need discipline, and if it means Hans being let loose on his own people, then so let it be like that, as long as I can set my own people free and you get your revenge, I do not care what happens to them!"
"But master, he has even killed unborn children."
"Hans told me that when I spoke to him telepathically. It is better to destroy these children than let them live so that they do not create problems in the future."
"But..."
"Are you questioning how he does his job?"
"Yes, I am worried about a full-scale rebellion against him."
"Then you need not worry Miko. They will soon be able to do nothing but obey, and if they decide to make trouble, they will die like cows for slaughter. How is the shipbuilding going?"
"It goes faster than expected master. People work both day and night, and when one person is too tired to continue, another takes his place."
"Then everything goes according to plan. Once Elsa has turned to our side, we will see the beginning of a new era of peace and prosperity. Do you understand this Miko?"
Miko wanted nothing more than to gut that snow queen like a fish, but he had his reasons for wanting it, reasons he could justify.
"Yes, my lord, but I wonder, what if Hans decides he wants to marry her or something."
"I will kill both when the time comes, well, I will kill Hans anyway, you will be the one to kill the snow queen! Then there is nothing left to stop both you and me! I will get my hands on those women, and you will get the revenge that you desire so much, but until then you do as you are told, do you understand this?"
"Yes, my master, as you command."
"You should have seen the faces of her mother and father when I killed them aboard that ship before I sank it. I will never forget their final pleas for mercy and now Elsa will soon fulfill her destiny. The joy I felt, you will soon enjoy it too Miko. I can promise you that! I will contact you later!"
The voice inside Miko's head went silent. Miko knew that the only thing he could do now was wait for the right moment. The moment the fleet was ready to attack Arendelle! It would not be long now.
As he sat there by the statue on the bench, he took a small golden necklace out of his pocket. The necklace contained a golden locket that he opened. Inside the locket was a drawing of himself and his wife Anita along with their little girl, who was about a year old on the drawing.
"Remember when we first met? That was the day when there was a big market in Arendelle. A man stumbled into me, and I fell to the ground and as I looked up, I saw you standing over me like a guardian angel. You helped me and I was immediately attracted to you."
By then he had felt time was slowing down around him and everything around him was swallowed in the dark, except for Anita who had a bright aura around her. When he had looked at her the first time, he had wondered what God had sent her down to this earth.
"You black and curly hair and your eyes. I had never met anyone like you before in my life. We talked and I said bad joke after bad joke, but you laughed at them, and I remember being in heaven when you kissed me the first time."
His jokes were lame, but Anita had seemed to enjoy them, and he had foolishly continued with them. It was two weeks later, after they met, that he had finally asked her if she would go out for a picnic with him, and Anita had answered yes to that. Miko and Anita had gone through the woods when they had come to a small clearing, where the trees did not block out the life giving sun, and they had talked about everything.
Then he saw that she seemed unhappy, and then he asked; "Anita is there something wrong?"
"Well, it is just that I was thinking about my sister."
"Do you have a sister? I did not know that."
"It has been many years since I saw her, but I still remember her clearly."
"Do you want to talk about her?"
"If you have the patience for it?"
"I have…"
"Well, you see Miko, I was born in the Southern Isles, and my mother, father and sister lived happily together, but one night the roof of our house came down on us, and my parents lost their lives as a result. My sister Nell did what she could to give us food, but one day she was caught stealing an apple. She had tried to feed me and when I saw her being caught by the seller, she managed to make eye contact with me, and I could see that she wanted me to run. I ran until I reached the port of the Isles´s capital, but then I did not know what else to do. I managed to find a ship, captained by a man named Malaki. He gave me a helping hand and got me safely to Arendelle"
Miko had looked very surprised.
"Ever since then I lived here doing jobs for the citizens of the city and eventually, I was adopted by a woman called Anja, who died, and to make a long story short I now sit with you here and enjoy a day off"
It did not take long for Anita and Miko to get serious about their relationship. He visited Anita in the now dead Anja's home that Anita owned now, and they had both enjoyed these visits.
"Miko, can I ask you something?"
"Sure, what is it?"
"Do you love me Miko, as for real?"
"I love you Anita if that is what you ask."
Anita had come up to him and they had kissed until they were both almost out of breath, and Miko had, in a truly chivalrous way, swept Anita of the floor and carried her to bed, and that night they made love, as the moonlight found its way through the window. If anyone had seen them, it would have looked like two ghosts making love.
It was not long after that night that Anita had found out that she was pregnant, and it was the most wonderful news Miko had ever gotten. He was looking forward to becoming a father, so much so that it was first now he really did realize how bad he wanted to be that.
"The first night we spent together was pure magic. When we learned that you were expecting our child, I was the one who panicked while you did not worry about it. When she entered this God-forsaken world. It was the happiest moment of my life."
It had been.
He had held his daughter in his arms, and he still remembered the words he had whispered into the child's ears: "I will not let anyone hurt you little one, you can count on it."
It had become a broken promise.
"I was expecting a long life with you, Anita, and I wanted to raise our daughter with you by my side, and we would have been a happy family, but all that was ripped away from us! Away from me! And that is that monster's fault!"
It had become so cold, and the blankets that Hans gave out to the freezing citizens had not been enough.
He had been hunting a bear that had moved a bit too close to Arendelle. The bear was very aggressive and were a danger to the people of Arendelle and he had been hunting it, and he had ended its life.
He returned to his home but found the ice blocking the entrance, so he could not get into it and it was only when the ice thawed, that he could. He found the frozen corpses of his beloved wife and daughter, hiding underneath the bed. They had looked like ice statues. Anita had been holding their daughter in her arms.
"That monster tore you two away from me! I swear if this is the last thing I do in my life, I will avenge your deaths, I will kill that snow queen. She is nothing but a monster! I will see her pray for mercy. When I finally meet that monster, I want to ask her what she thinks cold feels like to humans, as monsters and freaks apparently cannot feel cold. I will cut her heart into small pieces, and I will force her sister to eat them. I want my revenge!"
Miko's tears fell on the bench.
"I want to make sure you two can really rest in peace! I want to make sure the freakish monster dies a painful and humiliating death and those who stand between that monster and me will die! This I swear to you both, Queen Elsa will die, her sister will die, their friends will die, and Arendelle will burn to the ground. Nothing shall stand in my way, until that abnormal family has kissed this world goodbye, and then I will finally, know piece, and only then will I join you to in death. It will not be long now my sweethearts, for the end to all of this is so close and then, all normal people will be free from these monsters!"
Miko walked into the throne room, where Hans sat upon his throne, looking down upon everyone from a raised position.
"What brings you here Miko?" Hans asked Miko with a raised eyebrow.
"Hans, the entrance to the catacombs, where is the entrance?"
"The entrance is beneath the castle in the dungeons, but the entrance to the catacombs, where the former kings were buried was blocked of many years ago."
"Ancestors of yours?"
"No those that rest in the catacombs, were from a former line of kings that has been dead for, who knows how many years now. My family line defeated them long ago."
"Do you know why it was blocked off?"
"I do not have a clue."
"I have spoken with our master. I believe that there is a seal of some sort in the catacombs. We need that seal."
"Then I will order the guards to get us some dynamite."
Chapter 45: Rapunzel: The Conspiracy
The snake found the opening to the cave where water ran down from the fleshy walls, making the snake go faster between the pink lips Rapunzel had between her thighs as she moaned in both pain and joy as Flynn thrusted his manhood into her.
This was a new form of pain for Rapunzel, as she had never had sex before, but now where all her lessons were over, she and Flynn had decided to consummate their marriage. Rapunzel's legs was locked around her lover's body; their bodies glistened with sweat, and in Rapunzel's case blood, as she felt his thrusts destroy her hymen and sealed their love for one another. She put her arms around him and pulled him down towards her as his movements became more intense, causing some of her sounds and groans to be stuck in her throat at the intensity. Rapunzel felt her body absorb all her thoughts and worries.
Then he let her name escape his lips as his body shook on top of her and Rapunzel felt his seed inside of her and she climaxed and felt all her thoughts leave her, her mind going blank. Flynn collapsed on top of her and closed his eyes, and Rapunzel realized that he had fallen asleep on top of her after his climax.
For a few minutes, she enjoyed having both her legs and arms wrapped around him. She heard him sleep blissfully, with quiet breathing in her ears. She kissed him, his eyes opened, and he rolled off her and lay down on his back. Rapunzel lay down next to him and ran her fingers up and down his stomach.
Flynn said, "I love you so much dear."
"I love you!" she answered, their fingers intertwined.
They had decided to complete their marriage, as Rapunzel had been far too close to death than originally expected. The shadow dagger had knocked her out and she had a nightmare of dancing demons in the fire, but what started out as a violent dream, had made Rapunzel very ill. She had danced with death in the pale moonlight, as she came closer and closer to death.
Healer Martin spent days and nights trying to figure out what kind of dagger she had received, while Rapunzel was getting sicker as the days went by. Healer Martin was using gloves and he had a vague idea what he was looking for, and he made his conclusions about what that dagger was.
He concluded that the dagger itself was quite common, when it came to the dagger's blade, but the daggers handle was another thing entirely. The handle consisted of engravings of the legendary Jinn, demons born out of smoke and fire that seemed to be in a violent tribal dance around the handle.
Legends told that the Jinn once walked the earth, and were its rulers until a legendary king sealed them away a long time ago, but Healer Martin thought this was just an unrealistic fantasy story told to every child before bedtime.
The hilt itself was coated in a poison that worked by being absorbed through skin contact, and when Rapunzel had touched the dagger, a small dose of poison was absorbed through her skin, and it would have been fatal if she had not received a headache that caused her to drop the dagger.
Upon further examination of the dagger, Healer Martin concluded that the unnatural shadow over the dagger´s blade was a kind of enchantment, which made the blade even more deadly.
A cut of the blade and that person would be very dead.
Healer Martin had then found that the poison used did not kill immediately, and there was an antidote to it. He speculated that the poison in use had been chosen, so for person that was in possession of the dagger and were poisoned by accident, there would be enough time to seek treatment and an antidote.
The poison had caused Rapunzel to have severe painful headaches, then she had been unable to hold down any of the food served, and then her powers and her life had begun to leave her. Her face fell in and gave her an almost ghoulish look as her bones stood out more on her body.
Flynn and Rapunzel´s parents looked on, but could not do anything for her, but Healer Martin had done his very best, trying to heal her. Mixing up medication and herbs and giving it to Rapunzel, she was put in cold water to stop her fever from rising.
Rapunzel was given food with both salt and sugar, and she had managed to beat her fever and the poison within her own body and Rapunzel was no longer dying, but it had taken a toll on her body. She had to eat foods with a lot of fat, and any talk about running the kingdom, was put on hold as she had to exercise and build muscle mass and in this way she was beginning to get her fat, muscle and body strength back.
Her parents told Rapunzel that she had nothing more to learn about being a royal and the only thing she had to worry about was getting healthy again, and Rapunzel had been sticking to her food and training.
She started the day with a big breakfast consisting of eggs, bacon and sugar pancakes. At noon, she was given large juicy stakes with lettuce and a little beer to wash it down with, after which she had to do some strength training, from pull-ups to lifting heavy objects. In the evening for dinner, it was meat, salad, potatoes and a glass of red wine to fill her stomach again but there was no training after that.
The days passed and soon the fat and muscle returned to Rapunzel again and soon no more training or heavy food was needed to be eaten as she used to, and she was healthy again.
Rapunzel had been so close to death and she would not take anything for granted, and before she even knew it, she had asked Flynn about having children.
Flynn had not been happy when she mentioned children to him and it had cut into her heart, but Flynn said he honestly did not know about having them around him. Flynn's mother had died in childbirth and his father had been a bastard who had hit him a lot, and then he had been drinking away to an early grave, which he ended up in because of that booze.
Flynn had never known a parent's love, and did not know how to raise a child properly, and when he mentioned this to Rapunzel, she said that she had been given a false love growing up. They were almost the same when it came to childhoods that had been screwed up, but they could make a new start and a new family together.
These words had calmed him, and when he was inside her, she knew he was really the one she was glad to have married and when Rapunzel felt Flynn´s cum inside of her, she wondered if they had made a child together. She hoped they had, so they could raise it and she could give the child the real love and the good upbringing that Gothel had denied Rapunzel.
The next day, Rapunzel, Flynn and her parents and Healer Martin held a meeting about the dagger in question. Healer Martin had said that the dagger was very dangerous and enchanted, which made it very valuable. He recommended that the dagger either should be thrown into the sea or be destroyed, but he admitted that he had actually tried to destroy it, but nothing seemed to phase the dagger.
He even had the blacksmith try to destroy it, but the dagger did not even melt under high temperatures in a forge and the blade did not bent and the handle could not be removed from the blade itself.
Nothing seemed to phase the knife in question.
King Frederic told Healer Martin to go and lock it in the vault under the castle along with all the other treasures, and they would try to see what could be done about it.
The next morning, Rapunzel, Flynn and her parents were holding their daily morning meetings and King Frederic spoke: "I am afraid it seems to get worse and worse in Tehomia."
"Worse?" Flynn asked.
"Yes, you heard me. Worse for the people and worse for the Sultan. Rumor is that he is raging day and night and has psychotic episodes; all related to his youngest sons dead. Scheherazade does what she can to keep the kingdom up, but the Sultan is prone to barbaric executions now."
Rapunzel said, "It's awful, has he gone completely mad?"
"He has and rumors are that he took four adults, which had dared to call him an idiot, and had their hands cut of and arms nailed to the ground and their bodies stitched inside dead animals and left in the sun to rot with only their heads protruding outside the carcass of the dead animal. It is a long death that one. When the animal's body rots, worms and flies will eat the inside of the animal and then they start working on the living human inside of them."
"Oh god!" Her mother said as she covered her mouth with her hand.
The King continued, "The death of the youngest child has destroyed the Sultan in many ways, and unfortunately it will only get worse from here on for the people of Tehomia, but that is enough dark talks for today. I was wondering about you two. Are you going to have children soon for I want to be a grandfather, you know?"
Rapunzel smiled and said, "We have started working on it."
The King looked at Flynn and his daughter and said, "Excellent news, so I am assuming my wife and I get to hear good news soon?"
"You have to wait," said Rapunzel, looking at Flynn who gave her a big smile, and then she told her parents that she and Flynn would retire to their room now for some "talk" and then they left.
As soon as the doors closed behind them, Rapunzel and Flynn put their ears up against the door and began to listen.
"I do not like this at all!" said the Queen Arianna.
"Me neither" replied King Frederic. "As I understand Scheherazade has had a miscarriage before and there was a young boy once, who also died an early death, The Sultan may not have been able to take it anymore, when his youngest son died. Still, that he got so crazy in such a short time is remarkable unless something else is driving him mad."
"You know the rumors and if that dark magic may have infiltrated their palace, then who knows what could happen next."
"On the other hand, maybe some kind of poison? You know as well as I, that true magic and its magicians were once many, but now there is hardly anyone left who can do any enchantment."
"You have seen the dagger. It would have killed our daughter, maybe there is a similar one in the Sultan's possession. Rapunzel told that a stranger gave them the dagger."
"Maybe this is a part of a conspiracy then, to kill the royal families of the five kingdoms?"
Rapunzel felt Flynn´s arms around her and she felt sad for the people of Tehomia and its royal family, but nothing could be done for them. Getting involved in that kind of conflict and interfere with another kingdom, would only lead to war and death. If someone were also targeting them, it would have to be taken seriously.
Why would anyone kill them though? What kind of a monster would use dark magic to kill a child as it had happened it Tehomia?
Rapunzel did not know the answer, but every day new questions arose with the answers missing.
Chapter 46: Hans: The Path Not Taken
Hans was currently visiting a work camp, and now he stood in the middle of the interrogation room, deep underground. He was standing in front of a little thief, a little girl named Sonja. His soldiers had transported Sonja and her parents to the largest work camp after their parents refused to bend their knees to the new king.
"My little friend," Hans said and moved closer to the girl. "If you did not steal the food, then who did?"
The inmates were given something to eat when they finally had a break from digging after gold and other precious stones. Prisoners stole food from each other and other guards in a desperate attempt to fill their nearly empty stomachs, as they did not get enough food from the workforce management.
However, it was not allowed to commit any kind of crime in the camps, and every kind of crime was severely punished to the extreme. Women who committed any kind of crime were forced to stand on a small box on a table while the guard put a rope around their necks!
They were forced to stand up and not move a muscle for hours. If the women moved too much, they risked their box falling to the floor and hanging them, when their feet could not reach the box. Men who committed crimes were just beaten to death.
The punishment varied if it was children, whom had committed the crimes. This could range from an insignificant punishment, to torture and death.
"I really do not know who took it!" Sonja yelled. "I do not know anything about it!"
"My dear child, are you kidding me? You were the only one who had been close enough to that plate of pork chops. If you continue to make it harder for yourself, then there will be some extreme consequences."
The fool, why does she not just admit it? Hans asked himself.
Hans walked over to Sonja, who was sitting on a chair. He laughed to himself as he thought about the panic that went through the little girl's head.
"GUARD!" Hans yelled and in came a guard dressed in a red and white uniform.
Hans walked over to the guard and whispered into the guard's ear, "Next time this girl is trying to deny the fact that she stole the food you can take her!"
The guard nodded quietly.
"The guard may think I am insane, but I am not the enemy he is!" Hans thought to himself.
Some days ago, a child´s corpse had been found. The body showed signs of having been raped where after a strangulation had taken place. Hans suspected this guard of being the one that had done it, and now he had to be sure for if there was something Hans did not like, it was pedophiles.
"I want to ask you once more Sonja, why did you steal the food?"
"I did not."
"Who did?"
"I do not know!"
"GUARD!"
The guard approached little Sonja and with one hand he lifted her up.
"TELL ME THE TRUTH!"
"I swear I did not steal anything my King!"
Hans nodded to the guard, who laid Sonja down on the floor so he could take her.
"How old are you, Sonja?"
"Eight years old, please do not hurt me!" she said with tears rolling down her face.
"Well, you are not going to be a kid for much longer."
Hans began to laugh so much that he began to cry tears of pure joy. Sonja begged for mercy, but Hans only laughed harder.
"You brought this on yourself kid! I really hate crime and I want to make sure my kingdom will be without it. I need to make the Southern Isles great again!"
He watched as the guard began to do his duty that he had been ordered to do. Sonja was wearing old, dirty clothes that the guard ripped off exposing her naked body. The guard pulled out his dick, which had already hardened to the point, where Hans knew that this guard was the pedophile or he was turned on by sadism.
"Why little girl, why did you choose to steal from the other inmates?"
"I am so sorry I was so hungry. I promise I will not do it again!"
"I know you will not do it again my little friend."
Sonja tried to fight the guard, but the guard hit her hard in the face, almost making Sonja faint.
Easily, he spread her legs apart, whereupon he spit in his hand, but before he could touch her lips between her thighs, Hans said, "That is enough Guard, I am certain that she has had enough."
The guard got up and Hans went over to little Sonja, and he said, "That was not so difficult was it, my little friend. Because you did the right thing, you are not going to be harmed, but if you ever lie to me again, this guard will take you, do you understand what I have said to you?"
"Yes, my King!"
"That is good to hear. Now you can go back to your cell naked as a punishment!"
She ran away as fast as possible!
Hans drew his sword and cut the head of the guard!
He left the interrogation room and went down a long dark hall containing many prison cells. He walked up a spiral staircase leading up to the surface and was happy to be out in the fresh air again.
"Hans."
The voice was back!
"Hans, she plans to travel to the Sultan's kingdom. Are you ready for what is to come?"
"Yes, my fleet is almost ready. I will destroy Arendelle and its citizens, and I will claim Arendelle, and then I will chase the Ice Queen and bring her to you as a token of my gratitude, but I must ask: What do you intend to do with her when you get your hands on her?"
"I want to make sure she gets to fulfill the part she was created to play!"
Hans could hardly believe what he heard.
Was Elsa something his master had created, and how was that even possible?
"Was she created?"
"Yes, it happened a long time ago, but this is a story for another time, I will be in touch with you again."
The voice was quiet again, but Hans could not stop thinking about this new information. He had seen Elsa as a beautiful woman, who had created an almost invisible wall between herself and other people, hiding behind gentle nods and her hands tucked away by the gloves that hid her true powers.
He had never met another person like her in all his years of being alive and had never seen another person with such strange powers. He had seen men and women face cheap magic tricks, but they were just tricks. The things he had seen that Elsa could do was just pure magic, at least that was what he had been thinking, but now his master had told him, Elsa was created, how was that even possible?
That could not be true, or could it and if it was true in what way was Elsa created by him?
Suddenly, it struck him, just as Anna's fist once had, that if Elsa were really created by the master, it would mean that Elsa was probably not the daughter of the former king of Arendelle, and by what right could she then sit on Arendelle's throne?
That would mean Anna was the true queen of Arendelle all along. He let that sink into his mind for a few minutes as he cursed his own bad luck. If he had just stuck with Anna and had chosen to save her, instead of trying to kill her, he would have been the true queen´s consort, and the most powerful man in the kingdom of Arendelle.
Hans hated that fact now.
He was thinking about Anna. She had been a naive girl and that was what he had been trying to take advantage of, but he could not deny to himself that she had also been very sweet, kind, gentle and very nice in general.
She had not been like that woman of a mother he once had or that stupid Nell and she had not been like her sister Elsa who had been another cold woman, but Anna was warm, kind, and looking back, he wondered why had he treated her the way he did?
She had never done anything to him, and he had been so obsessed with trying to show his father that he was a genius, who could take the throne of Arendelle. He had been so lost in his attempts for the throne that he had hurt someone who had loved him, had trusted him.
Was he unable to love women?
He had asked himself that question, but growing up as he did, there had been only one person to love, and when he found out that Nell did not support him, it had felt like she had put a dagger through his cold and tortured heart.
He had done the things he did to all the women in his life because they did not do anything for him and meant nothing to him.
Tired he went up to his office in the camp and went to the couch and he fell asleep and started dreaming.
He was back in Arendelle dressed in his royal outfit, which he had worn for Elsa's coronation day. He was standing in front of a door, and he knew for himself that he was dreaming, but like any other dream; he wanted to walk through the door to see what was on the other side of it.
Sitting on a couch by a warm fireplace, dressed only in a blue silk dress so thin that he could see the body within it, Anna looked at him, smiled with lips covered in pink lipstick. She wore no shoes, and had bare feet and Hans felt mesmerized by her gaze and walked over to her.
He was about to say something when she put a finger on his lips and kissed him, but it was a different kind of kiss. It was not hard or eager, but it was a slow soft kiss, an angel's kiss if they had existed, and Hans wanted more of this kind of kiss.
He gently pushed her down on the bed and was on top of her, his hands caressing her figure, his fingers running up and down her legs and grabbing her breast and kissing her softly.
Was this what he really had wanted all along, deep down in the darkest depths of his brain, was Anna the person he had needed the most in his life?
Then she began to cough, and the cough would not end. Hans was about to get up from her, looking for something for her to drink as she suddenly wrapped her legs around his waist and still held his head in place with her hands, forcing him to see it all.
Blood ran out of her mouth, ran red and black like a fine red wine, the tears running from her eyes were also blood. She coughed and could not speak, her body trembled, and Hans could not move, but just then, Anna was no longer moving and was still.
He got up from her, saw the knife in her stomach, and saw his gloves dribbling red with blood.
"I did this to her! Anna, I am sorry!" he said to himself.
He woke up, bathed in his own urine, sweat and cum.
How could he have been so stupid?
He could have had a wife that worshipped him, and he could have been the de facto king, if he had just kept on the act, but then again, he had not known that information about Elsa before.
He truly hated "if only situations," for they were tedious to think about.
Chapter 47: Zerah: Loyal To A Fault
Zerah was hiding in Alomit, sticking to the shadows, when and where she could as the guards were searching for her within every home and back alley of the city, but they had not managed to capture her yet. She doubted that they ever would, as her new hideout was the home of Abdallah, the head of Sultan Ali´s bodyguards.
Who would think that she would be hiding within the home of the very man responsible for the security of the royal family?
This place would be the final place they would be searching. Abdallah spent most of his time in the palace, so his own home was barely used, and when he was home, he was just sleeping and eating and of to work once again.
"He seems like a lonely man this Abdallah," Zerah thought to herself, as she looked upon his bed, which were big enough for two, but was only used by one.
Zerah was thinking that Abdallah as a man had certain needs like all other man and she wondered if he was able to resist her temptations and charms.
This remained to be seen, but if she could get him on her side, it would be much easier to kill the royal family and the find the mysterious zeal within the palace.
"Everyone has a price," Zerah thought to herself.
She was ready to offer up her body to Abdallah if he wanted her, but there was a chance that she would have to kill him, if he did not fall for her.
She waited for what felt like days, when Abdallah finally came home. Abdallah was a big muscled black man and he threw himself upon the bed, while Zerah was hiding under it. She waited until she heard him snoring, and then she got up from under the bed and watched him as he slept.
Slowly she approached him on the bed on all fours, like a tigress that had found her pray, and like a python, she would soon be holding him tightly towards herself. As soon as she got on top of him, he awoke and violently tried to push her off him, but she threw a poisonous herbal mixture on him that slowed him down so he could not get out of bed.
This mixture will make it so much easier, she thought to herself as she held him down and she spoke to him, "Abdallah do you know who I am?"
Some dead woman he replied and tried to reach up and grab hold of her, but she removed quickly removed his hands.
"That was not a nice thing to say!" she laughed to herself, and moved her hips back and forward and felt Abdallah´s manhood getting stiff as a board.
She asked again, "Abdallah do you know who I am?"
He replied, "What have you done to me?"
"I gave you a mixture that slows you down because you and I need to have a conversation. Do you know who I am?"
"You are the murderer, for whom we have been searching!"
"That is true Abdallah, I advise that you save your energy and strength, because I can kill you right now if I so wished to do so, and the poison in your veins will not take your life, it only slows you down."
"So, am I the next person that will die by your hands?"
"No, Abdallah you are not. In fact, you are the person for which I have a special offer to give you."
"I do not want anything from you!"
"I have seen the innocent people who ridicule the sultan getting killed by being sewn into animals and left in the sun. I have seen this barbarity happening. You should be the next sultan Abdallah, and I would be your Queen and will give you many children!"
Abdallah had stopped trying to fight her as she sat on top of his dick and was teasing it with her lips of creation.
He said, "The sultan is what he is, but his son will be the greatest king this land has ever known!"
"How long until he ascends to the throne then? How many innocent people are to suffer under the rain of the mad sultan? Do you yourself not see how crazy he has become? I think this nation deserves better."
"I will never betray Kasim´s trust in me!"
"If Kasim was loyal to the people, he would push his father off the throne. Oh, your body feels so good Abdallah."
"I will never betray him."
"That is too bad" Zerah said and whispered into his ear, "You do not have a choice in the matter, my darling, for I own you now."
"I will never be your slave."
"It does not matter what you say Abdallah. I own you now, just like you own me" and she bent down and kissed him on his lips, but Abdallah did not respond to her kiss.
He was a loyal man and he would die loyal to his sultan and loyal to Kasim. Nothing was going to stop that.
"I wonder if the parents and children of those executed men are crying after their parents tonight, since you do not want to protect this kingdom."
"I am protecting it from you."
Zerah realized that Abdallah was never going to betray the royal family and she took another bottle from beneath her robe and she put some of the mixture on his bare chest and saw him close his eyes as if he was in pain.
"Since you are not going to tell me what I want to know then I have to use other methods. What I have just held over you is a special mixture that will make you talk. It is a truth serum, and if you do not talk, I will make it painful for you. This is the path of your choosing as I must get what lies beneath the palace."
"You will get nothing from me!" Abdallah said and was silent once more.
Zerah looked at him and she could see in his eyes the hate he had for her, and it made her feel vulnerable. How she would like to cut those eyes out.
"I am going to start with a simple question, Is there a secret way into the palace?
Abdallah looked up at her and said nothing.
She scratched his chest with her fingernails and drew blood.
"Abdallah, I am going to ask you one more time, is there a secret way to get inside the palace?"
Abdallah said nothing and looked away from her, confirming her suspicion, and she said, "So there really is a secret entrance, but where is it located?"
Abdallah said, "I will never tell you!"
What Abdallah did not seem to understand, that by not saying anything at all would sometimes make the body talk, even more then his own voice would ever do.
When he looked away from Zerah it just confirmed her suspicion that there was another way to get inside the palace.
Zerah looked down on him again and asked, "Where is the entrance?"
Abdallah did not say anything, and Zerah said, "You can try to protect them as long as you think you can Abdallah, but in the end I will know the truth. The question is how much pain needs to be applied.
The palace was well defended, so it was difficult to take it by force. In case the palace was surrounded then a secret entrance at the back of the palace would be useless.
Zerah made a qualified guess, "There is a secret tunnel beneath the palace correct?"
Abdallah said nothing, but ever so slightly, his eyes had been twitching at the question.
This time Abdallah had again told Zerah all she needed to know, without him saying anything, but his body language revealing everything to her that she could read like an open book.
It did not matter to Zerah if Abdallah did not use his own words, as long as his body language was doing the talking.
"So my final question is about where this tunnel system is? Where is the entrance?
Abdallah said nothing and this time Zerah could not read his body language. She was not going to get more out of him. He was loyal to a fault and this loyalty would be the death of him.
She moved her panties aside and sat down on his dick and she started riding him.
"Oh my god Abdallah, you feel so good!" she looked down on him, and she saw that he was trying not to look at her. "You can touch my breasts if you like."
"I would rather die you whore."
Zerah was about to lose control over her anger and she looked at him and said, "Tell me where the entrance is and I will kill the royal family, but I will spare Kasim."
"I do not believe you!" Abdallah said and mustered all of his strength and tried to push her off him, but she kept on riding him, her weigh holding him down and the poison within his body holding him back.
She took a knife out of her pouch from beneath her rope, and slashed his throat open, and she felt his body squirming beneath her as she rode him like a professional.
Just then, Abdallah used the last of his strength and pushed her of him as they both fell down from the bed, while Abdallah kept his hand to his throat. He got on top of Zerah, wrestled with her for her knife, and got hold of it.
"Why do you not die, you ugly peace of shit!" Zerah yelled at the top of her lungs.
Abdallah could barely speak, but with an almost nonexistent voice he leaned down towards her ear, whispered "Loyalty!", and took hold of Zerah´s left ear and with a swipe of the dagger, her left ear came off.
She was screaming and he took hold of her right ear and cut it off in one move. She was about to faint because of the pain, and then Abdallah took the knife and in one move cut her nose off and he whispered where her ear had gone off and said, "Who could ever love a nose less, earless freak of nature now!"
Zerah was about to faint because of the pain, and she could barely hear what he was saying to her, and she looked up upon her attacker that was holding on to his own throat with closed eyes, and Zerah yelled, "Ha, yes that is right. You are dying now you shit."
Abdallah answered, "That may be so, but who could ever love someone like you now, you ugly masterpiece. You will never be married or have children now. You will die alone and forgotten and when you walk outside all will look at the freak you are!"
Abdallah fell on top of her as he fainted, dying because of his open throat and his blood spilled all over Zerah that was fighting to stay conscious.
Ignoring the pain, she managed to move him and kick him off her as she slowly stood up, while her head hurt all over.
She went over to a mirror upon the wall and got a look at herself through hear tears. Her ears was gone and where there had been a nose there where and open hole, and blood ran down from where her ears and nose used to be.
Her wounds could be infected but she had no water to clean her wounds with. Maybe she could find that at the palace. There had been too much noise in the house and she thought that she had to bite the pain and get out before anyone came around to stop her.
She had to find the hidden entrance to the palace, but where could the tunnel be?
She thought hard on her master and a voice spoke to her, "I sense I am in your thoughts, what is your question?"
"Master, I have become aware that there is a secret tunnel that runs beneath the castle."
"You must go to the nearest Sandhill outside the city where there stands an old ruin. Go there and you shall find the entrance. Your performance is remarkable. Do not worry about your face. I will heal it, when you get back. I will stop your bleeding and your pain.
Just like that, the pain and the bleeding stopped. Now she had a new purpose, for she was going to give it all for her master.
Chapter 48: Anna: Confrontation With The Snowman
Anna was sitting outside the castle with troubled thoughts on her mind, as if a hungry ghost was haunting her, ready to eat her soul. When she had nothing to do, she thought about how to get Nell out of the castle without Elsa knowing about it. The problem with Nell would be dangerous if the queen herself found out that Nell was pregnant with Hans´s child and she knew if she tried to get Nell away from the castle, it would seem very suspicious.
Olaf had sought her out a few days ago, and it had actually left more concerns in her way than anything else.
She was still laying in her bed when Olaf had awaked her.
"Is it true?" Olaf asked her without saying anything else as he stormed into her room.
"Olaf, what are you doing, you have to knock first! Have you completely forgotten your manners?"
"I could ask the same about you!" The snowman replied and smiled, which reminded Anna of a story with a cat who also had a big smile on its face as it ate the canary.
""I will tell Elsa about this Olaf, for as easily as Elsa created you, she can destroy you if I ask her too!"
"Elsa would never destroy her own child now would she?"
Anna said nothing.
"That is what I thought. She would never hurt her own creation, and so it is my duty to report any kind of betrayal to the Queen!"
Anna looked at Olaf, unsure if she had heard him right.
"What did you just say Olaf?"
"I called you a traitor, Anna of Arendelle. I think you will receive the Queen's full wrath when I speak to her about your betrayal of this kingdom."
"What treason is that?" she asked, but she had a bad feeling of what he wanted to say now.
"I know about Nell."
Anna did her best to keep her poker face intact, which was not a huge success.
"She confided in me that you knew she was pregnant too!"
"Nell, you stupid idiot!" she thought to herself."
"I think she trusted you Olaf as much as I used to do, so what is going to happen now, Olaf? Once upon a time, I completely trusted you. I loved you Olaf, as my dear friend! What happened to you?"
"I changed when I found out that I did not get the same feeling from your hug as I used too! You may look like Anna, but I still think you can be an imposter. Besides, protecting the enemy child is not a good move on your side Anna!"
"You have been paranoid all because of that stupid hug? Now you will put Nell and her child and myself in danger too! What is wrong with you?"
"Elsa created me," Olaf said in a serious tone. "If I know something that one day will hurt Elsa, I will tell her about it. That kid will one day be a danger to Arendelle, and it surprises me that you sound so surprised when I say it."
"You have no idea, Olaf. You do not know for sure if that kid will be a danger to Arendelle. I am sorry that a snowman like you would ever think of hurting a child."
"This is probably the hardest thing I will ever say Anna, but I would rather have that one child dead instead of a hundred, and that is true. I know you cannot think like that because it goes against your own nature to think that way, but leaders sometimes have to make decisions they do not have to be proud of for the sake of the kingdom!"
Anna saw Olaf approaching the fireplace that had no fire in it. After all, it was mid-summer in mid-July.
"Do you really want to tell the Queen about the child then?"
She asked Olaf while she was planning a plan of a killer that was slowly forming inside her head.
"Yes, I am going to do that." he replied without any emotion in his voice.
Anna remembered Olaf as a kind and caring snowman who had a childish look at the world, but she knew Olaf had spent a lot of time with Elsa and it could have had an effect on the friendly snowman as well. If what Tamas was saying were true and Elsa was insane, it could have had a profound effect on him!
Anna knew that she was stuck in trouble, and when she thought of Nell, every fiber of her body wanted to protect the young woman. Nell had been through so much pain and had lived a life that was harder than most people, and not only that, when Anna told Nell that she was going to keep Nell's secret safe, it was at that time when Anna knew she was ready to do anything for her.
Anna thought of her sister. Anna had always waited outside her sister's door hoping that she would come out to play, but each time she was asked to go away leaving her alone.
As she built snowmen outside the castle, she had wondered what she had done to deserve such hatred from her sister. What had she done to deserve this cold?
It was not until after the incident with Hans that Elsa slowly opened up to her, telling her exactly what had happened since then, almost a lifetime ago. How Elsa had hit her with some of her magic, the prophet the trolls had spoken about, the things Elsa had seen and felt doing the time, all that had been slowly revealed.
Elsa had trouble ruling over her people. After that spy was hung, everyone was beginning to send Anna evil eyes towards her, and Anna never went beyond the edge of the castle, without and escort of men.
The worst had been with Kristoff, who was having trouble with his workers over the fact that a large portion of them would no longer serve the Queen, thanks to that one hanging, and some had even told Kristoff that Elsa was going to die for her crime against the people she was supposed to protect.
They accused Kristoff of being a royalist who was okay with the ways Elsa treated people she saw as her enemy. Therefore, when Anna was told by Olaf that he was going to tell the Queen about Nell's pregnancy, Anna knew that it could cost the life of Nell and the unborn child, and even her own life.
The life Kristoff and Anna had been talking about having together would not be happening either.
Anna got up from her bed, picked up the matches in her drawer, and walked over to Olaf. Olaf looked her in the eyes and Anna was sure Olaf could read her mind, but before he could say anything, she asked, "Do you want a warm hug?"
"Not from a traitor to our kingdom!"
"Well, too bad!" and she quickly got to her knees and hugged him, trying to get Olaf to understand that she was not a traitor. As she put all her love into that hug as the snow from his cloud fell on both of them, she used a match to light the fire in the fireplace, which succeeded immediately.
Olaf tried to break away from the hug, but Anna held the little snowman close to her body so he could not escape her grasp.
He was so cold.
The fire was burning lively in the fireplace, and Anna said, "Olaf, I do not think you realize killing the child will be murder, and if it is your intention to bring death to that child, then it you who deserve death!"
With a big push, the little snowman went into the burning fire. Olaf never got the chance to scream as he melted away very quickly, as the cloud above him was not enough for his protection.
Anna looked on with tears in her eyes and saw the snowman's big eyes desperately begging for mercy, and though she wanted to pull him out of the fire again and let the flames heal him, she was not about to let that happen. Olaf melted away and he was gone with his cloud.
As she sat outside in the sun, thinking back to that incident, Anna was pondering what she had done. She realized she had become a killer, and the thing she wanted to do most now, was to jump off a cliff so she could get away from the guilt she was feeling. She had done it to protect Nell and herself, but now she needed a lie to tell Elsa if she came looking for him.
Olaf had been like a child to Elsa.
Anna could not imagine what Elsa would do to her when she found out that her own sister had murdered Olaf, and she felt scared because of it.
"Hi Anna" a voice rang out.
It was Nell and she was wearing her house cleaner outfit.
"Hi Nell, how are you doing my friend?"
"I am fine, how about you?"
"I am thinking."
"What do you think?"
"Nell, I want you to come and sit next to me."
Nell did just that.
"Nell, you told Olaf about your pregnancy and said I knew about it too."
Anna could read the fear in Nell's eyes; when she had mentioned Olaf.
"Olaf wanted to tell the Queen and that would have been the end for both of us!"
Nell looked sick and Anna said, "Olaf is gone and he will no longer be a problem for any of us. If the Queen asks you about him, you say you have not seen him. Do you understand this Nell?"
"Yes, my princess, but what happened to Olaf?"
"He is gone from this world forever."
Nell wrapped her arms around Anna and kissed her on her lips, then quickly withdrew before Anna had time to register that kiss.
"I am sorry my princess. I did not mean..."
Anna put her hand on top of Nell´s and slowly padded them.
"It is okay," Anna said. "It is okay."
"I do not know what to do without you Anna. You have already done so much for me, I do not know how I can ever repay you for all the things you has done for me."
"Nell, I would go through everything to make sure you are okay, but now we have to be careful, this place has become dangerous for both of us now, so I will come up with a kind of a plan to make sure we can escape unnoticed."
Nell rested her head on Anna's shoulder and suddenly Anna realized that this was what she had always wanted to do. To spend time with her sister, telling Elsa that everything would be okay. However, she realized that this moment would never happen with her sister.
She had only made love with Elsa once, where they had both experimented with each other but as sisters they knew very little about each other and they were very different in both character and opinions.
When Anna felt Nell resting her head on her shoulders, she could not stop thinking that this was what she had always wanted to do with Elsa. A quiet and comforting moment in a life that had not gone, as she wanted it to go, but now this moment came in the form of Nell.
Anna saw that Nell had closed her eyes and was enjoying the moment, and when Anna saw the little smile on her lips, Anna was not afraid of anything, as long as Nell was with her to support her.
Anna could see a little of herself in her, and from that point on, Anna knew that she wanted to do something for this woman, to protect Nell and suddenly Olaf's killing felt like the most natural thing she had ever done.
Chapter 49: Elsa: The betrayal
"Elsa, I am so sorry. Do not kill me!" her sister screamed.
"Good, kill her now! It is time to be reborn! You're the key Elsa."
The nightmare was really driving Elsa insane. She knew it well, but the most frightening thing was that she had taken her Elixir, which Tamas had prepared for her, and she felt completely drained by her power and her thoughts.
The elixir usually always worked, but it was as if her nightmare had gotten even worse with it. She wondered if it was some kind of side effect, but she realized it would probably be better if she talked to Tamas about it.
She was naked as she slowly got up from her bed, and went to her wardrobe. She put on a blue dress and choose a pair of blue high-heeled shoes. She combed her long blond hair, put her crown on and hurried towards the library.
"He should be awake now," she said to herself, then she saw her sister standing in the corridor, and it sounded like she was crying.
"Anna?" she asked.
Anna turned around and used her sleeve to dry her eyes. She was red all over her face, like a juicy strawberry in the summer.
"Anna, what is wrong? Has anything happened to you?"
"It is nothing Elsa."
"Do not give me that Anna!" Elsa said, walking over to her sister and hugging her tightly.
"Tell me what is wrong. What can I do for you my sister?"
"I feel weird Elsa; it is almost like I am not myself. It is a horrible feeling I have! One moment I sit in the courtyard and relax under the sun, but when I came in here, it was like I blacked out for a second and when I came to myself you saw me."
Elsa wondered if Anna had suffered some form of memory loss like that incident in Elsa's private chamber, where Olaf was present. Elsa did not know what to say to her sister. If Anna had another incident like that, it could only mean one thing: Her sister was in need of help!
"Have you tried talking to Tamas about this? I am pretty sure he will be able to help you," Elsa said.
"No, do you think that would be a good idea?"
"Yeah. I was on my way to see him myself. Come on! Let us see him together."
"Well okay then let us go to him!" Anna said and sounded a little more optimistic.
As they walked toward the library, Elsa said, "Anna, I know things have been very difficult as of late. I just want you to know that I am here for you and I stand by your side. I need you to support me in some of the decisions I make."
"Decisions that I could never think of supporting Elsa. I stand by your side because you are my sister, but please, do not ask me to support what I can in no way shape or form agree with!"
"Be glad you were not born as Queen, Anna!" Elsa said coldly. "If you were on the throne, the kingdom would burn."
Anna gave Elsa a look that could kill, "I am not even responding to that Elsa. True, you are right! I could never think of wanting a boy killed because his dad is who he is, but you can. Sometimes I wonder if you really are my sister!"
Elsa did not have anything to say, and she was unsure if he had hear her sister right and she asked, "What it that supposed to mean?"
"What I mean is that the two of us were so similar, even if you were given powers no one else has, but now when I talk to you, it becomes harder to see the similarities between us."
Elsa felt hurt by her sister's harsh words, but she wondered if Anna was actually right that they were not alike. After all, Elsa was the Queen of Arendelle, and with that title she had more responsibility than Anna could ever dream of.
She did not blame Anna for not thinking about the bigger picture of things. Elsa had hidden behind a locked door, and that was because their parents had been trying to keep Elsa's secret safe.
For Elsa, there was another reason to hide behind a locked door.
She wanted her sister to be safe, but with all the lost time, there were many opportunities to create new memories with her sister. It was at this moment Elsa realized she did not know her sister that well.
Sure, they had whispered sweet words to each other, experimented with each other, but they did not know enough about each other.
With that in mind, Elsa turned to Anna and said, "A regent sometimes has to do things, terrible things to make sure our kingdom is safe and stable Anna. You could never understand the full burden that lies on my shoulders! With Hans, he is probably preparing for a war while we have unstable relationships with some of the other kingdoms. There is so much politics to think about, during such trying times. We are all tested to our limits, and not only that, it is in these times that I have to be aware of all the people I surround myself with, and punish those I cannot trust."
"Your choices would bring death to the innocent, and that Elsa is something I cannot agree with. Do not ask me to do something I cannot agree with. The woman you punished…"
"It was something that had to be done!"
Why could she not she understand this? Was her sister really so naive as to think that the world was a bright and beautiful place? Had the incident with Hans taught her nothing? Life was not an adventure, like the stories they had grown up with, and she had even talked to her cousin Rapunzel about this when she and her husband Flynn had come to the ceremony and following reception.
For Elsa, Rapunzel was another example of one that had been mentally abused by that woman that had appeared to be her mother, the evil witch Gothel.
Elsa did not think Anna really understood evil. That it could come in all shapes and forms, behind a smile of white teeth, in the look of one who might seem innocent, but had a frozen heart and he had stood on the other side of the chocolate fondue.
Hans was the perfect example why you should not trust everyone.
Elsa wanted to talk about something else and said, "To talk about something else have you seen Olaf?"
"No, I have not seen him" Anna said, and Elsa thought Anna's voice sounded a little different.
"When did you last see him?"
"A while ago I think. Olaf and I really do not talk that much anymore. We had an argument and I have not seen him in a while since then."
"I have not seen him either. I wonder where he went off to."
"I am sure he is okay Elsa."
"He better be because if I find out that someone hurt him, words cannot even begin to describe what I would do to that person."
They continued toward the library and both remained silent the rest of the way. They came to the library, but Tamas was nowhere to be seen, and the books he had read were back in their place, but there was no trace of Tamas.
"Maybe he is still resting in his own private chambers," Elsa suggested.
She was sure of it!
They went to his room and knocked on the door, but no answer came from the other side of the door. Anna and Elsa went into the room, but discovered that no one was living there anymore.
"Did he just leave like that?" Anna shouted to Elsa.
Elsa had another bad feeling growing inside her. It should not have been possible for Tamas to leave the castle in the middle of the night as she had guards spread out around the yard 24 hours a day.
"Maybe he is waiting in the throne room!" Elsa said, but when they arrived in the throne room, there was no Tamas waiting for them.
Elsa called all her employees together.
"Has anyone seen Tamas?" she asked them.
All gathered said, "No."
Elsa looked at Kai, who also said no.
"This is bad," Elsa thought. "No one should have been able to leave like that!"
Now nobody could produce the Elixir for her and she was terrified of having to hear that voice again. The Elixir had done a wonderful job of suppressing the voice. Elsa went to her throne and sat down on it. She was sure the voice was not part of her imagination either!
"Someone is attacking me mentally!" she thought to herself. "I know for sure! I have to find out who it is."
A guard came rushing into the throne room.
"Your Majesty, a letter has arrived. It is addressed to you; there is a name on it. It is a letter from Tamas!"
"Very well, bring it to me" Elsa said, wondering what the letter contained.
Opening it with ease, she read the paper, and her heart broke a thousand times, freezing with a cold, originating from the hatred and anger she felt as she read the paper again. She read it to the point where it felt like the letters where moving themselves.
She did not notice people starting to freeze in that throne room, so obsessed was she with the words written on Tamas´s white paper, and for each sentence that she read her thoughts were in a state of chaos.
Thoughts of violence, betrayal, death and revelation, everything danced in her mind, so her head felt like it would explode. This letter was a sign of pure betrayal and treason and she was angry. She was so angry it made her numb to everything and everyone.
How could anyone due this to her. How could anyone dare to hurt her this way? Her own sister was behind all of this. Had she not loved her enough, was her sister really looking at her as the enemy?
In that moment, only anger rested within her, but as she kept reading the letter, the anger was replaced with a rage unlike anything she had ever felt before. Rage enough to blot out the sun.
Just pure rage.
She crumbled the letter in her hand, and threw it towards Anna and Elsa observed her sister picking it up. She had all the time in the world to observe her sister. All the time in the world to get to see her reaction.
Elsa felt the power within her grow, but she was not moving a muscle. Had she not sacrificed so much for the people? Locking herself away in isolation for many years, so to not accidently hurt another human being, as she accidentally hurt her sister many years ago.
Did no one understand that sacrifice?
Now, everyone was pointing at her as a monster after the spy was killed. Why did no one understand that it was for their benefit, their safety she did all these things, to keep them all safe.
Then the absolute betrayal came from her own sister. She could not believe it, yet within her mind, she knew that Tamas´s writing was the truth.
If people were to treat her like a monster and act as if she was the enemy, then what was her kingdom really worth? Did it even have any value? Did the people within it have any value?
What was even her own value to anyone by this point?
She looked at Anna who seemed to be getting sicker the more she read the letter, and that reaction told Elsa everything she needed to know.
Anna was guilty of the deepest betrayal, and in Elsa´s mind, she sentences Anna to death for murder.
Chapter 50: Anna: The Snow Queen
The temperature in the throne room was dropping slowly but surely and Anna wondered what the message contained that could bring out this reaction from Elsa. Elsa sat on her throne and kept on reading the letter as if she had a difficult time understanding the message the letter contained.
Anna was dressed in a light green dress, and moved around a bit, trying to get warm, although that would be impossible. Anna gasped as she watched the ice move from the throne and spread out on the floor.
"You Majesty, what did the letter say?" Kai asked.
He was as nervous as Anna was. It looked like Elsa read it one last time, then she crunched the letter in her hands as she looked down at the floor.
"Elsa, what is wrong?" Anna asked.
Elsa did not respond, but the ice had spread across the floor and moved up against the wall. Anna looked up and saw the ceiling freezing with ice. It had gotten very cold in the room and everyone except Elsa was freezing. Cold had never bothered her anyway.
"Elsa, stop it right now!" Anna commanded.
This was becoming dangerous! The doors froze in place and could not be opened by the frightened staff. Anna watched in horror as the blue, clear and white ice suddenly changed color to black. She knew Elsa was mad. Without saying anything, Elsa threw the crumpled letter to Anna.
With trembling hands, she picked it up and began to read it:
You Majesty.
The letter started well enough.
I am very sorry I disappeared from you the way that I have, but something of the utmost importance has come to my attention and it is something that I need to take care of immediately!
Where do you think you are going to Tamas?
Because of this, I will not return to your castle, but instead I will travel to the Kingdom of Tehomia so that I can get to know the location of the palace and get to know people there.
Tamas was the Queens doctor, and Elsa needed him to keep making that Elixir. Why was it so cold all of a sudden?
I hope you will not mind such a decision, since I also want to travel there for your sake, to make sure everything is as it should be and as such, I will travel by ship, as it is, you know, the fastest route to Tehomia.
It was the fastest way and the giant ice order would take years to complete if all that ice had to travel through back and forth over land.
I overheard a conversation your sister Anna had with Nell. Apparently, Nell told Olaf that she was pregnant, but Anna also knew about this and when Olaf was going to tell you about it, Anna killed Olaf, because he wanted to warn you about as Hans´s bastard son lays within Nell.
Anna felt that she could not breathe.
How could Tamas know this?
He was not around when that conversation took place. How could he possibly know all that, and worse yet.
There was not a single witness to Olaf's death.
Then Anna specifically told Nell to keep Olaf's death a secret between themselves and if you asked, Nell was instructed not to tell you about this. Anna told Nell that she would make sure Nell was okay, but they should be careful from now on, as Arendelle had become a dangerous place for both of them now, so Anna would come up with some kind of plan to make sure they could escape unnoticed.
Anna felt like fainting. She knew how her sister was going to look at her from now on. As a traitor to Arendelle and a killer.
In another second, she thought of Nell, that beautiful woman who had already gone through so much and she thought of her promise to her. Anna looked to her left, saw that Nell was two steps away from her, and saw how she was shaking, because of the cold.
Anna described to Nell how she had done the murder. Anna had pushed him into a fire, after which he began to melt as he pleaded for mercy and cried out to you, but he never had a chance, and you could not come to his rescue!
It was all a lie, Olaf begging for mercy, and now Tamas was trying to make Elsa feel guilty for not coming to Olaf's rescue. Anna imagined Tamas painting a target on Anna's back.
I will leave you to do what you need to do, and I will see you later at the Sultans Palace for the celebration.
Yours in confidence.
Tamas.
"Do what you need to do?" and Anna realized that Tamas wanted Elsa to punish her, but did he realize that Elsa was going to kill her sister?
In any case, Anna believed that Tamas was a cheap, lying, chocolate stealing, son of a whore, and now both she and Nell were in for mortal trouble.
Anna felt weak and sick and her breakfast of eggs and bacon came out the wrong way again when she threw up on the blue, white ice. She did not dare look at Elsa, but with the adrenaline moving through her body, she lifted her head and looked up on her sister. Elsa was just staring at her, with a stone face that did not show her feelings or thoughts. Anna tried to speak, but she could not find the right ones words, she almost tried to force them out, but the words stuck to her throat. She felt like she was slowly running out of breath as the adrenaline made her dizzy and she realized she was going to faint within a moment now.
CRAACK!
The mirror hanging on the wall exploded into a thousand pieces, sending shards flying through the air and striking the startled staff.
"She has gone insane!" Judy screamed. "The Queen will be the dead of all of us! We must stop her before we are harmed!"
Judy ran towards Elsa, but was stopped when an Icicle came flying upwards from the ground at an amazing speed; Judy was hit when it went straight up through her ass and through her mouth, her blood running from her mouth and eyes, down her body and down the icicle itself, painting the ice red.
Kai approached Elsa and shouted, "Stop it now, Elsa!"
Another Icicle emerged from the wall behind the throne, and flew through Kai´s chest.
"Damn. I think that...!" he managed to say as he began to choke in his own blood.
Icicles came out everywhere!
The staff screamed and cried for help, trying to get through the now frozen door, but to no avail. The ice on the floor started to turn red, but it was not the color of Elsa's feelings.
No, it was red from the blood of the dying staff.
Anna saw Nell in the middle of it all. Nell had avoided many icicles, but that would not last.
Running towards Nell with adrenaline flowing through her entire body, as if possessed by lightning itself, Anna felt as if time itself was almost moving as fast as a snail, giving Anna an advantage.
She immediately grabbed hold of the frightened Nell's arm and pulled her close to herself.
"We need to find a way out!" Nell screamed. "We will die in here if we do not!"
Snow began to fall from the ceiling, flying around faster and faster, creating a snowstorm in the room. An Icicle fell from the ceiling and hit another employee through the head as he tried to kick the door open.
Anna and Nell were desperate, trying to do the same thing as an Icicle flew through the air at an amazing speed.
"Lookout!" Nell screamed and managed to pull Anna down with her, so the Icicle missed them both.
It hit the door at such a speed, creating a big hole in the door.
"Come on!" Nell said to the still shaken Anna.
Anna and Nell managed to get through the hole and ran down the corridor as fast as their legs could carry them. They looked back over their shoulders and saw that the ice relentlessly followed them down the same corridor, and Anna knew that if the ice cached up to them, they would become ice statues.
Anna managed to catch a glimpse of the Snow Queen sitting high and mighty, deadly and dangerous on her throne and in that case; Anna had the weirdest feeling that she would never see her true sister again.
Running down the stairs in the hallway, Anna saw the guards and Anna shouted, "Guards, get away from here! The Queen has become angry, run for your life!"
The guards wasted no time in opening the door to the courtyard, and the guards, Anna, and Nell managed to get through.
"What happened?" Kevin asked as he came running towards them all.
"No time to explain, have you prepared the horses for riding?" Anna asked.
"Yes, but I..."
"Open the gates!" The guards shouted to the door guard, who also felt that something was very wrong, so he quickly opened the gates.
Anna and Nell saw that seven horses had been made ready for riding. Anna, Nell and Kevin chose their own horses and away they were riding at full speed. The ice began to spread around the yard, and as the ice cached up with one of the guards, he started screaming as the ice went up his legs and up the rest of his body, freezing him in place and incasing him in ice.
"The ice is relentless, just like the Queen who brought it out," Anna thought to herself.
She was sure that Elsa had lost all control of her powers because of Tamas´s letter.
"It was partly Tamas´s, Elsa´s and my own fault!" Anna thought to herself.
All three of them suddenly heard other horses behind them. They all looked over their shoulders and saw other guards running right behind them and other riding on the remaining horses.
"Good to see most of you coming out of the yard!" said Anna.
"Well, we are happy about it too."
"I am happy about it too, but we are not out of danger yet. I need to find my wife Isa." Kevin said to Anna."
"We have to warn everyone in Arendelle before it's too late!" the guards said.
"Yes, that is a good idea, but we need to be quick about it. The time is short." Nell replied.
Anna knew it very well.
No matter what happened now, time was of the essence and if they were not quick enough to get away from the castle and warn the citizens of Arendelle of the Queen, there was a good chance that even more people would die today.
Kai and Judy were dead along with so many other people who were killed by the one, who was supposed to protect them, and now Anna could only find comfort in the idea that Kai and Gerda could be together again in the afterlife.
Anna would have given everything to know what to do now, but there was only one thing she was interested in, for she had promised Nell to protect her and her child; even though it was the last thing she was going to do in this life.
She thought that everyone had to escape and get as far away from Arendelle as possible, but she doubted that she would be able to warn everyone in time, and even if she did, she did not think that everyone would have enough time to get away from a potential massacre.
Elsa had lost her mind, and she was to be considered a danger to everyone. A danger to Nell and her child.
Anna had to get them away from Arendelle, as far away as she could, but first they had to warn as many citizens as they could and prey that they could save many of them.
