Walter and Paige were kissing tenderly as they lay in his childhood bed. It had been two and a half years since they last were cozied up together in his bed. Back then it was because of his trauma over the bombing of Baghdad, their parents had consented to it, to help him sleep. It was a little small now but not by much and neither of them were complaining. He had refused to sleep in his sister's old bed even though it was bigger. Plus his room was slightly further from his parents' bedroom. Neither of them were sure they wanted to have sex while his parents were just down the hall, but that didn't stop them from playing and teasing with each other.

Suddenly there was an undeniable squeaking noise coming from outside the room and down the hall. Paige grinned wickedly. "If his parents were going to do it, to heck with it." Paige thought as she started kissing down Walter's chest.

The next morning Paige got up. Stretching, she looked at the pajamas she bought before leaving the US. She was used to sleeping in next to nothing, but that was when they had their own apartment. She didn't think any of their parents would appreciate her walking around in some of the lingerie she owned now. She slipped on her robe, she smiled at Walter lying there sound asleep with a smile on his face. She saw he had removed the small wash basin that he'd brought into the room after they made love and she'd fallen asleep after freshening up. She blew him a kiss and left the room taking the pajamas with her. She stepped into the bathroom and washed up quickly and then put on the pajamas and robe. She went downstairs and found Louise in the kitchen humming as she put up that morning's fresh eggs.

"Good morning Mom." Paige said as she walked in the room.

"Good morning my heart. Did you sleep okay?" Louise smiled.

"Very well actually. It is wonderful to be back home again. America is a nice enough place, but this quiet little farming town is the best medicine to sleep with." Paige grinned as she got out a coffee cup. "Dad out in the fields?"

"Yes he is." Louise chuckled as she grabbed the coffee pot and poured coffee in it and then picked up her cup and filled it too. The two ladies sat down to talk.

That evening:

Despite being grateful that he had saved Ralph's life, Sean had really taken a dislike to Toby. His constant irreverent attitude and supposed jokes rubbed Sean the wrong way over and over. He couldn't believe Ralph was allowing Happy to spend any time, even as friends, with the bum as he whispered to Louise on their way home.

"So how are you enjoying the new job at Elia's plant?" Walter asked Billy as they sat playing chess. They had just gotten back from dinner at the Dineen's.

"It has been a really good thing. They have a wonderful policy for families with difficulties. And because Megan is part of Richard's health care outreach it affords me a little extra consideration if I need time off to help care for her." Billy smiled.

"That's really great, I'm so glad you were able to get in there. Your parents aren't upset are they?" Walter smiled.

"I thought that perhaps you pulled some strings for me. No, they are actually very happy about it. They always felt like I was meant for something more." Billy admitted and made his next move.

"I just got you an interview, like I did for Conner. They loved what they saw from you and hired you based on your abilities. And because of my continuing work with Richard, I hear good things about you quite often." Walter grinned and made his next move.

"That's good to know." Billy nodded as he tried concentrating to try and figure out Walter's attack.

"I noticed Megan isn't using her braces Happy designed. Are they still functioning properly?" Walter asked.

Billy nodded as he touched a piece and then stopped and moved another.

"She's been doing really well on this latest treatment from Dr Verbena. She feels like, with the way Megan has responded to it, we might be able to put off some of the worst effects for an extra five to ten years." Billy told him.

"That's really great. How's the car been working for you?" Walter smiled and moved his next piece. "Check mate."

Billy sighed.

"The car has been amazing. I've been putting a little back each week to pay you for it. I know I'm not much of a challenge for you Walter, but I'm glad you still don't mind playing me." Billy looked up at him. "I've missed our games."

"Me too. And don't worry about paying me anything for the car. You, taking good care of my sister is all the payment I need." Walter nodded.

"Oh." Billy blushed but nodded. "Well if you are sure, I guess we can add it to the money we're saving for a down payment for a home."

"That's a great idea." Walter smiled at him.

"You danced really well at the Walsh's last night, Walter." Megan called out as they began putting the pieces up.

Walter chuckled as he blushed.

"Thanks. I'm getting a little better." Walter said before he stood up.

"You should see him salsa." Paige grinned even as Walter gave her a withered look. "Hey, you did really well Walter. The instructor said you were a natural at it, you just need to relax more."

"And how many times, to how many people does he say those exact words too?" Walter asked as he stepped up to her chair and then bent over and kissed her cheek.

"That has nothing to do with it." Paige grinned.

"Well we could put on some music and you could demonstrate it for us." Megan encouraged them.

"Yes, why not? Come on Walter!" Paige grinned.

Walter feigned disgust but held his hand out as he got his phone out of his pocket with the other. A few clicks with his thumb as Paige took his hand and stood up and Tony Vega's "Sal De Aqui" began playing and Walter and Paige began dancing even as they grinned at each other.

Louise sat next to Sean with a wide grin on her face as she watched the young lovers move through the steps.

"I never thought I would see Walter so vested in something like this." Megan grinned.

"I'm thinking they need to teach us the steps so we can try it sometime." Louise said leaning into Sean's shoulder, her mouth just inches from his ear. She squeezed Sean's hand as well.

"If they are willing." Sean grinned as he looked at her and nodded.

Walter broke away from Paige and stepped closer to his Dad and pulled on his hand.

Sean looked surprised but stood up and as Walter backed away showing the basic step, Paige moved over to Louise and pulled her hands.

Sean began trying to match Walter's movements as Louise stood up and Paige began dancing slowly. Louise watched and then began to mirror the moves.

Megan sat grinning as she watched her parents trying to learn something amazing and so foreign to them. Billy stepped over and pulled on her hands. Megan's eyes went wide as she shook her head.

Billy nodded.

"Just stand and sway a little." Billy whispered into her ear before standing back up.

Megan swallowed hard but nodded slightly and stood holding his hands. Billy was watching Walter best he could and began mimicking his moves while keeping Megan's hands in his. Megan began twisting her hips something like Paige. Billy stayed right next to her in case she had any issue. Megan decided to stop after five minutes, she didn't want to stress her body too much. It was a good thing because Patrick chose that moment to wake up and demand a snack.

Sean was a little clumsy but slowly he came around and was starting to get into it a bit. Paige moved back over to dance with Walter even as Louise moved to Sean. Walter started another song and the two couples continued to dance.

"That was a lot of fun." Sean smiled as he lay in bed with Louise. "I'm going to pay for it tomorrow though."

Louise laughed as she nodded.

"Having sex two nights in a row at our age and dancing for nearly two hours, we should be sore tomorrow." Louise teased.

"Aye, but just so you know…we can have sex every night if you are willing." Sean winked at her.

"You never change." Louise sighed with a smile.

Walter and Paige's night was far from over as they made a pad on the floor so they could enjoy their love making without the bed giving away so much of what was going on. Paige didn't enjoy trying to be so quiet but she endured, she knew Sean and Louise would be going shopping tomorrow and she planned to have a wonderful time in Walter's old loft in the barn.

Megan lay in bed in their loft apartment over the general store as Billy massaged her limbs to help ensure she'd not have too much pain and to ensure the muscles didn't try to cramp or lock up. It was always a bit more of a challenge when she pushed herself, but Billy was always there to try and relieve and care for her and the symptoms.

The next evening they were all at the Dineen's again for dinner. Toby kept grinning at Walter every time Walter happened to look over at him. He found it impossibly annoying. Walter got sick of it finally and he brought his napkin up and wiped his lips. He jerked his head at the same time as Toby was looking at him.

"Be right back." Walter whispered to Paige as he stood up. Toby grinned and got up with him and they walked out of the room.

"What is your problem?" Walter asked once they stepped outside by the swing on the back patio.

"Nothing at all." Toby grinned.

Walter glared at him and Toby held up his hands.

"Okay, okay. But you have to decide if you really want to know for sure. The truth might disquiet you." Toby grinned.

Walter swallowed as he tried to think what this could be about.

"Well if it is the only way to stop you from looking at me like that. Then tell me." Walter finally demanded.

"Happy showed me around a bit today. We passed Louise and Sean going to the store as we left the house. We went down by the lake and stuff before we headed over to see you and Paige at your parents' house." Toby grinned as he waggled his eyebrows at him.

Walter's eyes closed as he shook his head.

"Why must you be so infantile?" Walter asked.

"It's just part of my charm." Toby grinned.

Walter turned around and walked back into the house.

"What's going on?" Paige whispered as Walter sat back down.

"Toby and Happy came over after Mom and Dad left today. They heard us in the barn." Walter whispered back, trying his best not to blush.

"Well that explains the eyes Happy has shot my way a few times." Paige sighed as she whispered back.

"Everything okay Walter?" Ralph asked.

"Yes sir. Just needed to check on one of the guys on my team." Walter smiled.

"Sir?" Ralph leaned over to Veronica as he whispered.

Veronica shrugged.

"Must be something personal he didn't want to say out loud and he panicked." Veronica whispered back.

When the Dineen's heard about the impromptu dance lessons last night Ralph suggested they retire to the family room and practice together after dinner.

Walter and Paige led the others in dancing. Everyone was laughing and having a good time as they moved to the Latin beats Megan was choosing for them.

At one point, Toby stepped over and whispered something to Megan. She grinned as she nodded and set up the next song while waiting on the current one to finish. The three couples stop dancing as the song came to an end. They were hugging and laughing and then it started. "La Cumparsita." Almost like out of reflex, Walter took Paige's hand and stepped back and they began to tango.

Everyone stared as they watched the couple move through such a powerful dance. While not flawless, the beauty of their steps and the love that they had for each other caused Veronica and Louise to both tear up. Ralph had to clear his throat a few times and Sean blew his nose. They came together at the end and kissed deeply. Their family began clapping for them.

Walter blushed as they kissed and Paige began laughing as the kiss ended and she saw his cheeks.

"My poor Walter." Paige shook her head as she stroked his cheek. "I love you, forever."

"The love I have for you powers every cell in my body and will continue to do so, until my last breath leaves me forever." Walter told her before kissing her again.

"That's a mighty fine dance my son, not sure I'm up for you teaching me that. But I think I might want to try." Sean grinned as he walked up and clapped his hand to Walter's shoulder.

"The footwork is a little tricky but isn't bad. I'd be happy to walk you through it." Walter told him.

Sean grinned and nodded.

Megan grinned as she restarted the song and so Walter began demonstrating with Paige for their parents to try.

"Oh I think I might have overdid it tonight." Veronica told Ralph as they laid in their bed.

"But it was a lot of fun." Ralph smiled as Veronica nodded with a smile.

"Did you find out what was going on with Walter earlier?" Veronica asked.

"No, we didn't get a chance to talk quietly." Ralph sighed.

"Well, I talked to Paige. It was because Happy took Toby around to show him the areas and then went to visit Walter and Paige. And apparently Walter and Paige were having a very good time in the barn when they got there." Veronica grinned.

Ralph blushed a bit at that thought.

"It is kind of sad, we never got to make out in a barn." Veronica teased him.

"Well we got the garage." Ralph grinned right back at her.

"Maybe tomorrow night." Veronica laughed. "As long as we don't over do anything physically tomorrow."

"Well in that case, I'll make sure the help does everything for you tomorrow." Ralph teased as he kissed her.

Veronica laughed as she shook her head after the kiss ended.

"Speaking of that. Have you talked to Toby and Happy about the ball?" Veronica asked.

Ralph sighed.

"Yes. I told them he could escort her, but he had to be on the best of behavior. Not just because she's our little girl but because of the visual it will have with people. It could hurt his image as a doctor." Ralph told her.

Veronica nodded.

Greetings! I hope this finds you all well!

Railman - No, Walter wasn't worried about Toby trying to acquire some of her money. hehe Walter doesn't mind if the others want to invest in Scorpion, he's always felt like it was his responsibility to come up with the money, and he didn't want anyone thinking he was trying to take advantage of Happy. Glad you liked it! hehe Yeah, they are definitely missed in the community. And as you can see, they didn't practice what they preached to the kids. LOL

LouBe - LOL Indeed! Walter played it very cool and maybe Richard missed his calling? LOL Glad you enjoyed it! lol I guess they forgot that "noise" can be heard both ways...LOL Walter was definitely shocked that they had bought prints of the bust. Walter says "Thank you!"

Pearliegirl - Wow, just start with THE question huh? lol No idea honestly. As I said once before, normally when I start a story I'll name it something followed with 01 to denote chapter one. When I first started Callan, I felt so amazed by the idea I started it as "Callan 0001"! Now, I have no idea if it would ever go long enough to make it to 1000, let alone 9999. And I have been thinking about the story's "destination" a lot lately. But I would love to see the story to at least reach the point that they officially open Scorpion. But as long as the Muse speaks I'll write it. As long as there is an audience for it, i.e. those of you choose to comment to the story, I'll share it. As for writing at least until Toby and Happy become a couple, I hope so. I have been experimenting with trying to figure out how to write their possible future relationship. Baby steps I suppose. 2004 will be a short 4 chapters, but an important year for the Cyclone, 2005 will be a bigger and much longer year. And I really agree, if the show had ended with a more satisfactory close, I'd most likely never have started writing stories for it. While writing was what I needed creatively, I also needed it as a way to deal with the stress of the wife's ill health. So in that respect, I'm glad the show ended so horrifically. I'm glad when I went to the library to see if they might have written a book to continue where the show left off. While the librarian couldn't find such a book, she asked if I had considered FanFiction. lol It was funny that while I had posted my first story 6 years earlier, it never even dawned on me to look up if there were any stories for the show. And what a time it has been since. I've written over 2.5 million words (over 2.3 million posted), 26 storylines and more than 728 combined chapters for this amazing show since I started writing 3.5 years ago. I'm really glad we've all found each other here!

To the Adventure! -Tim
