Naruto had just arrived at the academy to recieve his Genin Team. It had been 3 weeks since he had passed that exam, he was getting excited as this meant he was a proper shinobi. Naruto was excited above all else as this meant he would be learning the cool shinobi techniques which would help Naruto become Hokage.
-In the Hokage Office-
"So I am going to get Naruto?" asked Kashin Sarutobi, a member of the Sarutobi clan. He wasn't really a member of great renown or was a member of Hiruzen Sarutobi's family but was familiar enough with Naruto, afterall Naruto often played his pranks in the sarutobi Clan too, very few haven't heard of Naruto Uzumaki in Konoha.
"Yes Kashin," said Hiruzen.
"So how are his skills?" asked the young Sarutobi.
"Not good, it will take alot of work to improve him," said Sarutobi.
"Is there anything good going for me?" asked Kashin, sighing, training Naruto would be ahrd.
"Naruto can comfortably summon hundreds of shadow clones," said Sarutobi. Kashin the just turned to stare at his clan head and his Hokage.
"Are you making a joke, Lord Hokage?" asked Kashin.
"No, no, I didn't believe it myself but he showed me," said The third Hokage.
-Flashback sequence-
"Now Naruto, I want you to do as many shadow clones as you can," said the third Hokage. He wanted to know how many Naruto could do. Naruto did the sign for shadow clone and decided to put as much chakra as he could.
"Multi shadow clone jutsu," shouted Naruto as a lot of smoke filled the area, as it cleared there were a thousand physical clones present. Sarutobi was amazed by the very amount.
"Now Naruto dispell them but-" said Sarutobi but Naruto didn't listen, instead he dispelled them all at once. Naruto suddenly fainted as the third quickly grabbed him.
"You are really very special, Naruto," said Sarutobi with a smile.
-Flashback sequence end-
"Can I use that to train him?" asked Kashin knowing of the benefits of shadow clones.
"Indeed but he doesn't seem to know the memory benefit of shadow clones," said Sarutobi.
"Does Hatake know?" asked Kashin.
"No he's in for quite a suprise," said the Third with a grin on his face.
"He's going to be very troublesome, Hatake has wanted to train the brat since he was young," said Kashin.
"You sound like a Nara," said Lord Third.
"Looks like I have my work cut out for me" said Kashin as he disappeared in a shunshin.
-Back outside-
Naruto was in a classroom with the other graduates. He didn't actually know any of the graduates, other than the fact that they graduated with him. He was an outsider to these people but some of them were going to be his teammates whether he liked it or not. Naruto honestly just doodled while waiting for the Chunin to come in and tell him his team.
Everyone became silent when a Chunin walked in, he looked at all of them, his eyes wandering at Naruto for a second.
"Good morning," said the Chunin "let's skip the speech and the pleasantries, I will now tell you your teams."
Everyone became excited as the Chunin continued.
"Team 1 will be-" said the Chunin, as he told the Teams. All of the teams nodded as they got their Teams.
"Team 6 will be Naruto Uzumaki, Asashi Hyuga, Himari Nakamura" said the Chunin "your sensei shall be Kashin Sarutobi."
The Team nodded as the man continued on, telling the teams about who they are going to be with. Asashi was a black haired hyuga main branch members while Himari was a blond civilian.
-Time skip-
"Team 6?" asked Kashin, to which the Team nodded. The team walked with the Sarutobi. They walked to a training ground where the man sat down with his legs crossed, the team followed his example.
"So what happens now?" asked Naruto excited. Kashin noted that Naruto was impatient and had to be taught.
"Let's start with introductions, your name, your biggest strength, your biggest weakness and your favourite food," said Kashin "I'll start, my name is Kashin Sarutobi, my biggest strength is my knowledge of Ninjutsu, my weakness is my my chakra reserves, I have high reserves for a sarutobi but our clan doesn't have the highest reserves, so I have to conserve my chakra and base myself in ninjutsu and c-rank techniques, much like many members of my clan, my favourite food is Dango."
"Now you," said Kashin. Naruto thought for a moment and decided not to be arrogant on this encounter.
"My name is Naruto Uzumaki, my strength is my traps and determination, my weakness is my knowledge, I slept in class alot, my taijutsu and chakra control, my favourite food is Ramen," said Naruto as he remembered everything his multiple senseis had said. Kashin nodded, the boy was aware of his weakness. Asashi continued on from where he elft.
"My name is Asashi Hyuga, my strength is my taijutsu, my weakness is genjustu, my favourite food is rice balls," said Asashi to which he recieved a nod.
"my name is Himari Nakamura, my strength is my chakra control, my weakness is my ninjutsu, my chakra reserves need improving, my favourite food is chicken soup," said Nakamura. All three were a bit embarrased at revealing their secrets
"There was going to be another exam after the genin test but you all showed an admirable trait in shinobi, humility," said Kashin.
"But why is humility important, sarutobi-sensei?" asked Naruto.
"A shinobi should be aware of their strengths and their weaknesses to accurately be prepared for any situation, like fighting a shinobi, if you over or underestimate yourself or your situation, you could die, since you showed the trait of humility, of knowing where your strengths and weaknesses lie, you can improve so as such you passed," said Kashin to which the Team got excited.
"Since it is such a nice day, why don't we begin with training?" asked Kashin to which the Team nodded "we will be training from now till sunset."
"Multi shadow clone technique," said Kashin as he summoned two shadow clones. Kashin's real self went with Naruto Uzumaki, while Asashi and Himari went with shadow clones into completely seperate directions.
-With Naruto-
"So Naruto do you know the secret of the shadow clone?" asked Kashin to which Naruto looked excited.
"What secret? come one tell me!" shouted Naruto excited to which Kashin sighed, with a small grin.
"Shadow clones transfer their memories back to their users..." said Kashin as he explained the use of shadow clones in Naruto's training "for a few hours we will be using the shadow clones to improve your taijutsu."
"How many should I summon?" asked Naruto.
"About 50," said Kashin but Naruto summoned 65 shadow clones. Kashin realised that Naruto might need to work on Chakra control alot, if he hoped to improve a great length.
"You summoned 15 more than necessary, clearly your chakra control needs work and we will be working on it," said Kashin, as Naruto got excited. Naruto's shadow clones and himself began working on taijutsu with Kashin. Kashin noticed that even the basic stance that Naruto used had many errors after correcting it, the shadow clones followed the examples.
Every time, Kashin corrected an error in the real Naruto, the shadow clones used that error to fix their styles, it was honestly improving them alot more than it should have.
-With Asashi-
Asashi was working with Kashin on Genjutsu detection.
"Since you know basic genjutsu detection," said Kashin "we will improve that and I'll teach you some Genjutsu too later on once you can detect much higher ranking genjutsu.
"Let's start with some D-rank Genjutsu and work from there," said Kashin.
-With Himari-
"Since you have good chakra control, I will be helping you improve your taijutsu," said Kashin. Kashin sparred again Himari and helped her improve her style.
-Wiht Team 6-
After three hours, of training, all three were brought together. All three had improved in different areas, Naruto and Himari had improved in taijutsu, while Asashi in genjutsu detection.
"Now, I will teach you tree-walking," said Kashin, as he explained while showing the tree walking exercise, the three shinobi looked shocked as they saw the man walk on the tree, "this is an exercise which relies on chakra control, you have to put chakra in your feet but you have to put just the right amount of chakra into your feet, not too little or else you will fall, not too much or else you will be pushed off the tree with the tree fracturing."
Naruto, Asashi and Himari understood the exercise and were about to begin.
"Now before we begin, due to Naruto's chakra reserves, Naruto make some shadow clones to help you," ordered Kashin. Naruto summoned twenty shadow clones to help him with this exercise.
"Why does he get clones, Sarutobi-sensei?" asked Himari in a curious voice.
"Naruto has terrible chakra control and needs these clones to keep up with you guys, who have better control, Naruto has too large reserves for basic chakra control exercises, so these are the only exercises that would help him, " explained Kashin to which all three understood "use kunai to show how far you've gotten."
"Begin!" shouted Kashin. Naruto's clones went to different trees and did as his sensei instructed. Himari and Asashi did too and began for a couple of hours.
-Time skip-
It had been a few hours of them trying to do the exercise with continuous failure but Naruto didn't give up, instead when Himari and Asashi started to lose confidence, Naruto convinced them to keep trying.
"Guys, come on," said Naruto "we gotta keep trying."
"Naruto this exercise is difficult," said Asashi.
"But we make progress, we just gotta keep trying, the old man once told me that Shinobi who never give up, always keep trying till they cannot, will truly be great while those who do, those who are fine with just some progress, will have a short career and life," said Naruto, to which Asashi and Himari looked at Naruto for the first few seconds, before thinking on that advice.
"That is good advice," said Kashin "advice you should take to heart and it is true, many shinobi die because they are fine with the progress they made."
Team 6 nodded, Asashi and Himari got their confidence back and began trying till their heart's content.
'Interesting, seems the kid has the rare ability, to instill confidence in his teammates,' thought Kashin.
-Time skip-
There was definite progress made in the group, give a day or two more and they would get the exercise down. It was sunset and the day of training had been completed by Naruto.
"All of you gather around," said Kashin.
"What is it Sarutobi-sensei?" asked Naruto.
"I want you all to pick up a skill other than the one you already have," said Kashin.
"What do you mean, sensei?" asked Asashi.
"A shinobi who has mastered multiple skills is more deadly than a shinobi who has mastered only one, think of it like this if I am a master at both ninjutsu and genjutsu, I am most likely more deadly than a shinobi who only uses genjutsu or ninjutsu," said Kashin to which the group nodded. They all thought for some time wht their skills would be.
"Okay, what skills have you decided?" asked Kashin.
"I am going to pick up fuinjutsu, dattebayo," said Naruto. Kashin looked at Naruto not suprised, Naruto was an uzumaki and they did love that technique, specifically.
"I am going to pick up Genjutsu, it should help me with attacking an opponent," said Asashi.
"I am going to pick up medical jutsu, it would help us alot," said Himari.
"Alright, all three of you have diverse skills it seems," said Kashin.
"See you all tomorrow, and I expect you to start the basic by that time," said Kashin.
-The Next day-
"I will be leaving you with three shadow clones as I have a meeting to attend to," said Kashin.
"What meeting?" asked Naruto.
"To tell Lord Hokage, you passed," said Kashin.
-Time skip-
The Jounin were gathered to tell the Lord Hokage about what teams passed.
"Okay and Team 6?" asked Lord Third.
"Team 6 passed, sir," said Kashin.
"And who is on Team 6?" asked Sarutobi with an evil grin.
"Asashi Hyuga, Himari Nakamura..." said Kashin sweating "and Naruto Uzumaki..."
"What?!" was shouted by a certain white haired Jouin.
