A/N – Hey guys, there's a little surprise at the end of this chapter for you all.
Chapter – 4
Jared Rivaldi knew how to hold a grudge. His childhood was not something he exceptionally looked back upon. His father killed his mother, leaving his sister and himself all alone in facing his wrath day in and day out.
Jared loved his sister. Vivian Rivaldi was 5 years younger to him. She was his world ever since she was born. Jared would do anything for her. So, when his father once slapped Vivian, Jared did what he had to do. He made sure Frank Rivaldi died a painful death.
Merely 13 years old, he took to the streets. Doing odd jobs just so he can feed his sister. These jobs brought them to Hawaii and eventually to the dark side of the world, where he was first introduced to crime.
He was always interested in…younger things. He preferred his ladies young and innocent. He got involved in human trafficking early in his life and today, he was the boss was one of the biggest rings.
At least he was.
Until Five-O ruined everything. They broke up his business and killed his sister. His life, his precious. He had nothing left. He knew whose bullet it was which pierced her heart and killed her. He was forced out of Hawaii by these cops and had lived underground for so many years.
But not anymore. As his sister's death anniversary approached, Jared's inner fire started burning with an extra flame. He wanted revenge. He needed revenge. So, he had decided he would do exactly that. Just like he had made sure Frank Rivaldi suffered, he was going to make sure Detective Danny Williams suffered too.

A splash of cold water woke Danny up. He struggled before realizing the change in his surroundings. He wasn't in a bathroom or a boat anymore; he was sitting in a chair in a small room, his hands tied to the back, as if he was a suspect in the Five-0 holding room.
"Welcome, Detective Williams." Danny's eyes focused on the man standing in front of him. Danny could identify his face and voice even if he was down 10 beers.
"Rivaldi…" Danny slurred, not gotten his bearings right just yet. "You're alive."
"Yes, Detective. Happy?"
"Very. Now I finally get a chance to kill you myself." Danny snarked.
Rivaldi laughed. "Ever the comedian, Detective."
Danny's eyes wandered over to the 2 muscular men standing behind Rivaldi. Danny knew he couldn't out-fight them. But the itch to kick the living lights out of Rivaldi was too much to bear.
'Stay calm Danny. You'll need to find a way out smartly.' Danny's conscious, which unsarcastically sounded like his stupid partner, spoke to him.
"Why am I alive?" Danny asked. There was no point in kidnapping him. He knew Rivaldi hated him too much to keep him alive.
And vice-versa. He thought.
Rivaldi gestured to his thugs and they stepped up.
"Purely for my entertainment." He said with a smirk as the goons started beating the shit out of Danny.
Danny, for his part, did everything in his power to take the blows with dignity, not giving the man the satisfaction of seeing him defeated. But soon, his resolve started to crumble. A groan here, a gasp there, Danny started to heave as a particularly bad punch caught his mid-section. After about what seemed like an hour to Danny, the blows stopped. He looked up at Rivaldi's grinning face taunting at him, and spit.
Rivaldi's grin fell instantly as the bloody saliva landed on his shoes.
"Tsk tsk tsk…" He said and moved back. "Those were Gucci, man!" He gestured again and the 2 men this time went out of the room, leaving both of them alone.
"What, beating me up gets it up for you now, huh?" Danny asked him.
"You know, when I came back to the US, I had no intention of coming to Hawaii." Rivaldi said calmly, as if talking to an old friend. "Let bygones be bygones, I thought. But then…something happened, you know." he took out a handkerchief.
Danny knew the man was full of shit. No way in hell could he let bygones be bygones. He watched skeptically as the man bent over and wiped the spit from his shoes before shining the pair.
"I was in California, you see. It's my home state, you know that, obviously with all the R&D you have done on me." Jared shrugged as he stood up straight. "I was walking to my favorite sandwich shop in LA, they make it the best! You being from New Jersey obviously understand the need for good sandwiches, don't you?" Rivaldi said with an excited laugh as he threw his handkerchief on the floor. "I love pickles…was that on your file? I forget."
Danny ignored the man's ramblings. He was in too much pain due to the beating he had received a few minutes ago to respond to Rivaldi's inane questions. He kept quiet as the man in front of him went on and on. He had an inkling of where he was going.
"I swear to god, Rivaldi…" Danny breathed. "If you drag my dau-"
"Anyways! As I was walking on the street, I came across a very beautiful lady." Rivaldi said and looked directly in Danny's eyes. "Her skin so perfect, her eyes were a beautiful shade of brown and god…her body." Rivaldi closed his eyes and licked his lips, as if remembering a delicious dish.
Danny screamed in anger as he tried to pulled on the cuffs of his hands and legs, resulting in cuts all over his wrists.
"Shut up, you son of a bitch!" He yelled as Jared kept on grinning.
"When I looked closer, I knew I had seen her somewhere." He said over Danny's yelling, totally unaffected by the Detective's anger. "She was our own…Grace Williams."
"I swear to god, you motherfucker…If you lay even one finger on my daughter, I will cut you up so bad…so fucking bad." Danny yelled. His blood was boiling to the point he thought his skin would melt off. How dare this monster talk about his daughter?
Rivaldi just laughed at Danny's words.
"I have to say, Detective. You daughter's grown into a wonderful lady." Danny's eyes watered as he realized he hadn't spoken to Grace for 4 days. What if Rivaldi had…?
"You stay away from her, you bastard!" Danny shouted. His heart was hammering in his chest. All he could think of was Grace.
"Also, where's your partner, Detective?" Rivaldi furrowed his brows. "I heard he left. Steve McGarrett." He sighed. "Well, I miss him."
Steve? Did this bastard get Steve?
"And-" Rivaldi conversed nonchalantly. "You've been holding out on me, Danny!" He said and mock-pouted. "You have a son too. How did I not know about it?"
"Just-Just open my cuffs, you fucking pedophile! I am going to fucking kill you!" Danny said as he struggled against the handcuffs.
Rivaldi just ginned before stepping out of the room.
Danny screamed after him as the door closed, before his body protested and he fell silent. Tears flowed down his face as his mind wandered over to the worst-case scenarios.
Grace…Charlie…Steve. God! What the hell was happening?
Danny just had a handful of people in his life for whom he cared for more than is life. And Grace, Charlie and Steve were 2/3rd of that list.
Danny berated himself for not thinking about the son of a bitch for the past 2 years. When the cards had stopped, him and Steve had just assumed that the man was dead. He should have been prepared for something like this.
His heart was so heavy that the next time the 2 men and Rivaldi entered the room, Danny let them hit him without a sound before passing out.

25 hours.
It had been 25 hours since Danny went missing. Lou was at the end of his tether. The whole team hadn't slept in 25 hours. They had been searching the whole island for Danny and nothing came up. They had read the whole case file 10 times, trying to figure out where Rivaldi would go or any leads which would lead them to him, but they weren't that well versed with the case to know each and every detail of what had happened 8 years ago. Somethings just cannot be put into the file and Lou knew that very well. He knew he needed help.
"Alright. Enough." He threw up his hands. "Go home. Get some rest. It's almost 4 in the morning. We'll regroup tomorrow morning sharp at 9. Coffee is on me."
The team started to protest and Lou held up his hand. "I'm going to say the most cliché dialogue ever, but just know that it's true. Ya'll being dead on your feet is not going to help Danny even one bit. Just go home, take a shower, get some sleep. Tomorrow…9."
With that, the team got up and left one by one. Adam loitered around a bit before going into Lou's office after everyone had left.
"You need to go home too." He said as he leaned against the door frame.
"Steve's still not answering." Lou ran a hand over his face. Exhaustion had etched itself onto his face. "It's been 25 hours, Adam, and there's still no clue as to where Danny could be."
Adam sighed before biting his lip. "You thinking the same thing I'm thinking?"
Lou looked up at the younger man but didn't respond.
"It's time, Lou." Adam said with a small shake of his head. "We need help."
Lou sighed and nodded his head before picking up his phone. He dialed a number and put it on speaker.
Adam's heart beat loudly with every ring before a sharp voice answered.
"Kelly."
