AN: So this was written before tonight's episode aired but after tonight's episode I think us on TeamNathan need a little something to cheer us all up. Hope you enjoy.

Did you know what you were doing, did you know?

Did you know how you would move me?

Well, I don't really think so.

But the night came down and swept us away.

And the stars, they seemed, to paint the most elaborate scene to date.

"Uncle Nathan, you're making me nervous," Allie said from her spot on the porch steps.

Nathan stopped his pacing turning to look over at his niece who was entertaining Jack. "Sorry," he told her.

"Is the pacing helping?"

"No," Nathan replied, looking toward the house. It had gotten kinda quiet in there and this was one case that he wasn't sure quiet was a good thing. Then he heard the sound of a baby crying.

Part of him wanted to rush inside and another part of him couldn't move. It wasn't long before Carson was in the doorway.

"Want to come meet your new daughter, Natha?" Carson asked, smiling.

Nathan nodded, unable to find any words. With the other two kids following him, Nathan followed Carson into the house and to the bedroom. Walking into the bedroom, Nathan spotted Elizabeth in bed, cradling the newborn close to her.

His breath caught. Despite the tired look on her face, Elizabeth looked as beautiful as the first day he saw her the day she walked into the office in town. Back then she was simply the widow of a fellow Mountie. He had no way of knowing where life would lead them. No way of knowing that he would fall for her like she had never fallen for anyone before. He didn't think she did either. She was simply welcoming the newcomer to town.

But it hadn't ended there and he was glad that it didn't. Somehow, he couldn't imagine his life without her.

As Carson placed his newborn daughter in his arms, Nathan felt a sense of completion. Ally would always be special to him. Nothing could change that. He enjoyed being the father figure for Jack and loved the boy as if he were his own. However, this little girl truly was his. His and Elizabeth.

"So, now that both parents are here, perhaps this little girl can get a name," Carson suggested, even as Ally and Jack crowded close to Nathan and the little bundle he held.

"I was thinking Colleen, after your sister," Elizabeth said from her bed, watching her husband with love and amusement.

Nathan nodded, finally looking up from his daughter and over at his wife. "Perhaps Colleen Elizabeth, he said. She should share her mother's name."

"I love it," Elizabeth said.

"Its perfect," Ally seconded.

"It's a pretty name for a pretty girl," Carson chimed in.

Nathan looked down at his daughter again. He didn't know how life could get more perfect than this.
