Surrounded
"Hey, hey, it's OK!" the smaller turtle is saying. "How did she get here?"
"Raphael?" another voice says. There are more, one in blue and the other in purple. Blue looks at Taylor, and she feels ice settle over her heart.
He's got swords.
"I thought she was April." Taylor tries not to flinch at the sound of the rough voice. "She didn't come to meet us, so I went to get her and...He said bring the girl, he didn't say how and it's better to be scared than dead, right?"
"But that's not April, is it?" Blue's voice is as deadly as his swords must be.
Taylor's ribs are aching now. It hurts to breathe. She's almost surrounded by creatures that must only exist in nightmares.
"Guys?" the purple one says quietly. "I think we should...Look at her, she's terrified."
"What is the meaning of this?"
Dread washes over the giant turtles' faces. One of them moves aside to reveal a humungous rat in a brown and yellow robe, who takes in Taylor's flushed, tear-streaked, terrified face.
"Are you all right?" he asks.
No. No, she's not.
Everything goes black.
Raph rushes forward and catches the girl before she hits the ground.
"What is going on?" Splinter demands. "What is she doing here?"
"I...I thought she was April. I went to her flat to get her and..." Raph looks down at the limp form he's holding.
He kidnapped the wrong person.
"You were gonna do that to April?" Mikey cries. "Dude! Not OK!"
Donnie kneels down and scans the girl. He frowns.
"Donatello, take our guest home and make sure she is comfortable," Splinter orders. "And untie her."
He turns sharp eyes on Raph, who quails.
"Hashi, Raphael. NOW."
