Chp. 3: Summer Time

The next day in a large rental home, Teams RWBY, JNPR, CFVY, GRMA, and CFDT, Oscar Pine, Ilia Amitola, Cade, Qrow Branwen, and Professor Ozpin had all been sent into a rental home by the government to avoid the media and any unwanted attention after their battle against Salem and her followers and allies. Out in the living room, Yang Xiao Long was watching videos by Smosh on Youtube on a laptop, while Ruby Rose, Allen Knight, Kelly McFoley, and Qrow were playing split screen multiplayer on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.

"Damn it!" Kelly frustratingly exclaimed as she got shot by Ruby for the fifth time.

"Ah, yeah! The snipe master strikes again!" Ruby said.

Ruby's victory was short lived as her character gets knifed from behind by her uncle.

"Uncle Qrow!" Ruby whined.

"Sorry, pipsqueak. All's fair in love in war," Qrow proclaimed.

They then heard Yang laughing out loud, catching their attention.

"What's so funny?" Allen asked.

"This!" Yang laughed.

She unplugged her headphones as the song Dixon Cider by Smosh played.

"Yang! That's gross!" Ruby exclaimed.

"Really Yang?" Qrow asked with a raised eyebrow.

Kelly and Allen both snickered and realized what Yang was about to do. Yang turned the screen over to show Ian and Anthony pouring jugs of apple cider into girls' mouths. She laughs at Ruby and Qrow's blank reactions.

"Cider from Dixon, California," Allen said.

"Old Smosh is the best," Kelly said.

"And fill her full with lots of Dixon Cider. In her mouth hole fills it down inside her," Yang sang.

Sitting out in the corner of the living room, Professor Ozpin, Oscar, and Jacob Gordon were sitting in chairs across from each other. They each both have a bible in their hands. Ozpin and Oscar went with Jacob to his church a couple days ago. Jacob was currently preaching the word of God to the headmaster of Beacon.

"For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. 2 Timothy 1:7," Jacob quoted from the bible.

"Mr. Gordon, if I may ask. Why choose your god instead of the Brother Gods?" Ozpin asked.

"To be honest, your gods are complete assholes," Jacob answered.

"And why is that?" Oscar asked.

"The two Brothers treat their creations like an experiment. The God of Light even said so himself. Meaning, they don't love or even care for what they created. Unlike the brothers though, God loves and values everything he creates. And when God punishes the wicked, he doesn't do it out of spite, bitterness, or hate, he does it because he cares, unlike the two brothers. He gave us his begotten son, Jesus Christ, who had died for our sins. And all that's the tip of the iceberg of why he is the one, true god. Also to quote one of his ten commandments; Thou shalt not have other gods before me," Jacob explained.

"It sounds like God holds many wonders," Ozpin said.

"You have no idea," Jacob said.

Jacob's iPhone vibrated in his pocket. He pulled it out and took a look to read the message on it. He glances back up at Ozpin.

"I'll have to cut this short, Ozpin. Britney summons me," Jacob said.

"That's fine. Go on and have your time with your friend," Ozpin said. "Besides, I must be ready to leave tomorrow morning. Qrow and I will be traveling all over because of reports of Terrans unlocking their aura."

"Yeah, I have been hearing about that. Some were even starting to arm themselves and are trying to be like huntsmen or superheroes, or something like that," Oscar said.

"And one more thing, Jacob. Your brother had contacted me this morning and told me that he has an announcement to make to you, your team, and Team CFDT," Ozpin said.

"What?" Jacob asked.

"All he told me was that it involves you all and your families and that it would change your lives," Ozpin said.

"Um. Okay, I guess," Jacob said.

Jacob stood up from his chair and walked away as Ozpin stood from his chair and walked away to get ready to leave, while Oscar went back to reading the bible.

Coco Adel was looking up earthly fashion magazines while listening to Applause by Lady Gaga on the radio. Jaune Arc, Pyrrha Nikos, Kendra Tanner, and Robert Franklin were all sitting at a table playing UNO. Sitting away from them, Weiss Schnee was playing Halo on a laptop as Ricky Hugo sat next to her, watching her play.

"Ugh! That noobmaster69 is really starting to annoy me!" Weiss said as she watched as her blue character's dead body was being t-bagged by a red soldier.

"Hopefully you don't rage quit, Weiss," Ricky said as he pats her on the back with his only good hand.

"Like that's ever going to happen," Weiss said.

As soon as she said that, her character quickly gets shot upon respawning. Weiss and Ricky had dumbstruck looks on their faces upon watching what had just occurred. Weiss' expression changed to anger as her face turned red.

"WHAT WAS THAT?! WHAT THE HECK WAS THAT?! THAT IS TOTAL BULLSHIT! HE WAS WAITING FOR ME THE ENTIRE TIME, WASN'T HE?! JUST WAIT UNTIL I GET MY HANDS ON HIM ONCE I RESPAWN! I WILL TAKE AWAY EVERYTHING HE LOVES AND THEN SOME!" Weiss furiously ranted.

The match then ends with Weiss' team losing. Weiss threw her mouse across the room then screamed.

"FFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUCCKK!"

Jaune, Pyrrha, Kendra, Robert, Coco, and Ricky stared at Weiss raging out over the player that shot her with dumbfounded expressions on their faces.

"Uh, Weiss? Maybe you should calm it down a bit," Ricky said with his hand raised.

"I AM CALM!" Weiss screamed.

She stood up from her chair and marched furiously out of the room.

"Probably best to give her some space for a while," Coco said.

"Wow. I'd never thought I'd see the day that Weiss would lose it over a video game," Jaune said.

"But they can get to you at times. It happens even to the best of us. I should know when I snapped at Ruby when I was playing Mario Kart with her," Pyrrha said.

"Hey, Ricky. How are you doing right now? You know, after…" Kendra tried asking as she gestures to Ricky's stump from where his left arm used to be.

"Struggling to get used to this. My parents were furious that Adam chopped my arm off, but felt some satisfaction from when they heard about Jacob paying him back by cutting off his horns and his J-O hand," Ricky explained.

"The trials for Adam and all the others involved in the attacks that were captured will commence in a couple days and there is no doubt that Adam is gonna be some of the few that will receive the death penalty," Robert said.

"Everyone around the world is calling out for their blood," Jaune said.

"Don't forget that people like Jacob's dad, The Crown, and Dr. Merlot are still on the loose," Pyrrha said.

"But wherever they are, will find them, and bring them to justice," Ricky said.

Meanwhile in another room, Blake Belladonna, Velvet Scarlatina, Fox Alistair, Yatsuhashi Daichi, Lie Ren, Nora Valkyrie, and Cade were all watching the news on the television.

"This is really happening, isn't it?" Velvet asked.

"So what's going to happen?" Nora asked.

"Right now, anything could happen," Yatsuhashi answered.

"I'm more worried about how Earth would view the Faunus because of the White Fang's involvement in the attacks," Blake said.

"I'm sure it won't be too bad. Sure, there will be some people out on Earth that would give the Faunus a hard time because of the White Fang, but not all Faunus are like that, and people will understand," Fox said.

"Fox is right. Besides, nowadays in most countries segregation of any kind is banned. Especially here in America," Cade said.

"It all may take some time. Mainly due to COVID-19 around. And it may end up spreading to the kingdoms as well," Ren said.

"I wish he didn't bring that up, but he's right. Relations between Earth and Remnant will be at a snail's paste because of the COVID," Blake said.

"Hey, look on the bright side, due to this COVID, We can hang around and have a little fun. Might as well make it last," Fox said.

"We could use the break after everything that had happened," Yatsu said.

"And we can use the pool out back in a couple days," Velvet said.

"Yeah," Nora said as she thought about Ren in swim trunks.

Rebecca Dawson was walking down the hall, but then stopped upon hearing a noise. She heard heavy breathing coming from behind a door next to her. Curious, Rebecca opened the door and upon looking inside her cheeks turned red. She saw Ilia sitting behind a desk looking at nude artwork and pictures of Blake Belladonna on Rule34. But what caught Rebecca's attention the most was Ilia's right hand was down in her pants and her left hand was groping her left breast, while giving out soft moans and heavy breaths. Ilia glanced back and then froze in shock upon noticing a blushing Rebecca. The chameleon Faunus' skin turned pink and her spots turned red. Rebecca then smirked at Ilia before speaking.

"You know, if you ever get that itch again, feel free to talk to me. I'll be happy to help with that," she said in a flirtatious tone.

Rebecca closes the door as she leaves, leaving a still blushing pink Ilia. Behind the door Rebecca's smirk quickly dropped to shock as her face turned red with embarrassment.

"Why did I say that?!" she thought.

Meanwhile inside a bedroom, Jacob Gordon was laying on top of a bed with Britney Connor kissing and making out with her. They soon stopped kissing.

"I can't wait to get into that pool out back in a couple days," Britney said.

"To be honest, I'm really excited to see you in a bikini when we get into that pool until then," Jacob said.

"Jacob, is that all you can think about me?" Britney asked with a teased smirk.

"Britney, you and I both know that I love you other than just your looks," Jacob answered.

"I know you do," Britney said.

Jacob slid his hand down to Britney's butt before pinching it, making her jump a bit.

"Jacob!" Britney teased as she lightly slapped Jacob's chest.

Suddenly, a knock was heard at the door, catching the couple's attention.

"Come in," Jacob called.

The door opens to reveal Jacob's aunt, Judy and his baby sister, Ashley in her aunt's arms.

"Hey, Aunt Judy. What are you doing here?" Jacob asked.

"Two things. One to check on you and your girl here. Ashley wanted to see his big brother too," Judy answered. Do you mind if you watch her for a couple days?"

"No. Not at all," Jacob answered.

Ashley reached out her hands, making grabbing motions with them. Judy approached Jacob and passed the infant over him. Jacob lightly tickles his sister's belly, getting a laugh out of her.

"Ja-ca! Ja-ca!" Ashley tried speaking her brother's name.

"Your baby sister is so adorable! I can't believe Cinder would try to hurt this little gal here." Britney said as she stroked Ashley's head.

"Don't remind me of that," Jacob said.

"And the second reason why I'm here is because of this," Judy said as she pulled out an envelope.

She passes the envelope to her nephew as he takes it. Jacob passes Ashley over to Britney and opens up the envelope and takes out a paper from it. He opened up the paper and began to read it. After a few moments of reading, Jacob's eyes widened and looked up at Judy.

"They're gonna release mom?" he asked.

"Yes. And Keaton already knows. Once he's through with his hearings at D.C., you and your brother will meet up in Detroit and pick her up," Judy replied.

Jacob stared blankly at her aunt, then looked down at the letter.

"Jacob, are you okay?" Britney asked.

"Yeah. It's just... It's just been a while since I've last spoken to her and... a little worried once she is around Ashley after her breakdown," Jacob answered.

"I know, Jacob. But I've heard she wants to make it up to her and regrets trying to nearly kill her," Judy said.

"Besides, if you're gonna blame anybody for this, blame you dad. He was the reason for her breakdown," Britney said.

"I know. but I can't help but worry," Jacob said.

"I'm sure no matter what happens, you'll find a way to help her," Britney said as she passed Ashley over to Jacob.

"I hope so," Jacob said as he sets the letter aside and takes Ashley from his girlfriend.

Author's Note: I'm gonna give you all a heads up warning. Next chapter will be a bit political. I know you guys hate politics, hell even I hate it, but I want to still add a bit of realism to it. Plus it will play a roll in the events to come. At the same time though I promise you all I will try to include politics as LEAST as possible. I will issue a warning like this whenever a chapter with political issues comes up.
