Chp. 9: Foreigners In Vale
City of Vale
Within the city of Vale, Azumi Fukushima walks through the streets as she carries a guitar case. She looks around taking in the sights around her. She then looked up ahead and noticed a handful of police cars surrounding a bank with police officers pointing their guns at the building.
"A robbery in progress. Not on my watch," Azumi said.
She looked around for a moment to see bystanders were paying attention to the robbery, then quickly ran straight into an alleyway. Azumi ducks down behind a dumpster and sets her guitar case down in front of her on the ground. She opens the case to reveal her pink electric guitar inside and a mask on top of it. She takes the mask and puts it on.
Meanwhile inside the bank, four armed gunmen were in the process of robbing the bank. Two of the gunmen were stuffing their duffle bags with Lien, while the other two were pointing their guns at a group of terrified people huddled in a corner.
"Hurry it up! The cops are already outside!" one of the two gunmen pointing his gun at the hostages shouted.
"Almost done here!" one of the gunmen with the duffle bags replied.
Suddenly, a person crashes through a skylight window and safely lands down onto the floor, catching everyone's attention. The girl stood up from the floor and revealed herself to be a proudly smiling Azumi with her electric guitar in her hands and as her superhero persona, Sonic String.
"It's all right now! Do you know why? Because I am here!" Sonic String proudly proclaimed.
The four gunmen stared at the pink costumed hero for a moment before bursting into hysterical laughter.
"Wha... What the fuck... are you... pulling here?!" one of the gunmen asked while laughing.
"Now I'm gonna have to ask you gentlemen to surrender yourselves to the police outside. Otherwise, you four are gonna have a bad time," Sonic String said.
"Somebody deal with this nut job," one of the gunmen ordered.
One of the two gunmen watching the hostages walks up to Sonic String with his gun pointed at her. The costumed heroine swung her guitar into the gunman's stomach, then swung the guitar at his head, knocking the gunman to the floor unconscious. The other gunman turned his gun at Sonic String and started to open fire. Sonic String ran up to the gunman as she was avoiding the shots and turned the colored dial as the strings on her guitar started to glow green. She struck a chord on her guitar, shooting out vines from the nozzle at the end of the guitar straight towards the gunman. The vines wrapped around the gunman as Sonic String swung him toward a wall, knocking him unconscious.
The two remaining gunmen began shooting at Sonic String as she dodged and flipped away from the shots coming at her. She transformed her guitar into her bow as turned the colored dial again and the strings then glowed yellow. She pulled and released one of the strings on her bow, firing a shot of lightning at one of the gunmen, electrocuting him and falling to the floor. Sonic String turned the colored dial once more and the strings were now glowing light blue. She shot a burst of ice and struck the last gunner's gun, freezing it and his arms. Sonic String then charges up to the gunmen as she switches her bow back into her guitar.
"GUITAR SMASH!" she shouted as she swung her guitar down onto the floor in front of the gunman's feet, sending him flying into a wall and knocking him unconscious.
Sonic String turns around to face the hostages who were slowly, but cautiously getting up from the floor while staring at her.
"You're welcome!" Sonic String said with a wave.
She turned the colored dial and the strings then started to glow white. She then points the guitar downwards and strikes a chord, shooting out a blast of wind and launching her up through the skylight and out the building. Sonic String launches herself from rooftop to rooftop and soon lands onto one of the rooftops. She takes off her mask and sighs.
"Another job well done," Azumi said.
"Couldn't have said it better myself," a voice spoke from behind her.
Azumi quickly turns around to see who was talking to her. To her surprise, it was Kelly.
"Hey, cuz!" Kelly said with a wave.
Azumi ran up to her cousin excitedly and both embraced each other into a hug. They soon broke off from the hug.
"It's great to see you here!" Azumi said.
"Same here, Azumi. How's the boy, Genji?" Kelly asked.
"We've been calling each other every day now. He's been accepted to go to Shade Academy," Azumi answered.
"That's great. Are you two... you know... together-together?" Kelly asked.
"Not yet, but I plan on it," Azumi answered.
"Well, it's gonna be great with you around at Beacon," Kelly said. "By the way, your weapon. Your guitar. What did you name it?"
"One For All!" Azumi exclaimed.
"Somehow that doesn't surprise me," Kelly said with a smile and head shake. "You being a fan of My Hero Academia and all."
Meanwhile in another part of the city, Alexander Watson was walking through the streets taking in the sights around him.
"I can't believe I'm here in Vale. If only Lucas was here to see this," Watson said.
Before Watson could walk any further, he heard the sound of crying. He turns to see a mother struggling to get up from the ground and her daughter with a black eye crying as she was trying to help her mother up, both of which have dog ears. Standing over the two was a man glaring down at the two Faunus.
"I told you animals not to come here again!" the man shouted as he kicked the girl to the ground.
Infuriated, Watson marched straight over to the man and grabbed him by the collar and pinned him against a wall.
"Hey! What the fuck are you doing?! Huh?!" Watson angrily shouted.
"What's it to you? These animals here were told time and time again to not come to the restaurant I eat at and they never listen! Besides They're probably involved with the White Fang '' the man retorted.
"So fucking what?! They ain't bothering anybody! They were just eating! And it's people like you that are the reason why the White Fang exists today! Besides, the only animal I see here is you!" Watson said.
The man tries to hurl a punch at Watson, but Watson easily moves to the side, then retaliates with a punch to the man's stomach and another to his face, knocking him to the ground. Watson knelt down to the man and pulled out Little Bladers in their pistol forms. He transformed the pistols into his karambit knives as the man looked up at him in fear.
"Let this be a reminder of what happens when you try to fuck with people," Watson said.
He took one of his knives and proceeded to carve something on the man's forehead as the man screamed out in pain. A moment later, Watson stops and stood back up as the dog Faunus mother and daughter look to see what's on the man's forehead. On the man's forehead was a carved bleeding message that read 'LITTLE BITCH.'
"Now scram," Watson ordered as he put his weapons away.
The man quickly gets up and runs away as he puts his hand on his bleeding forehead. Watson turns around to face the mother and daughter. He leans in and grabs on their arms and pulls them up off the ground.
"You two okay?" he asked.
"Yeah. Thanks for helping us. that guy would not stop bothering us," the mother said as she picked up and held her daughter.
"Well, don't worry about it. After what I did to him, he definitely won't bother you or anyone again," Watson said.
He turns around and walks away and soon pulls out his phone and looks at a photo of himself and Yara embracing each other.
"I hope to make you proud, Yara," he said.
Junior's Club
Meanwhile inside Junior's Club, people inside were dancing and hanging out as music blasts throughout the club. Sitting at the bar was Jesse Jack and Ornell 'Jacket' Ray.
"Why did you choose to have us come here again?" Jesse asked.
"Because I want one last drink before I go to that school," Jacket answered.
"We're under aged, Jacket," Jesse said.
"But the club owner here is fucking gullible from what I've heard," Jacket said.
A man from behind the bar then walks up to the two boys. The man was exceptionally tall and wore a black vest over a white dress shirt, a red tie, black gloves and black dress pants. He has gray eyes, short black hair, along with a matching beard and mustache. This is the owner of the club and leader of the Xiong Family, Hei 'Junior' Xiong.
"Aren't you two a little young to be in this club?" Junior asked.
"A little young? Nah. We're age appropriate," Jacket answered as he and Jesse pull out ID cards.
The two boys presented their ID cards as Junior looked them over for a moment. He looks back up at Jacket and Jesse.
"What can I get for you boys?" Junior asked.
"Get us both a beer," Jacket answered.
Junior nods and turns around to get the boys each a beer.
"Told you these fake IDs would fool him. Piece of cake," Jacket said.
Jesse and Jacket turned to the side and noticed the twin sisters, Miltiades 'Miltia' and Melanie Malachite seated next to Jacket.
"What's up ladies?" Jacket greeted with a finger gun motion.
"Whatever," the twins said with an eye roll.
The twins looked over to Jesse.
"Who's your friend?" Melanie asked.
"He looks fancy," Miltia added.
"I'm not rich. I like looking formal. Plus, I have a girlfriend," Jesse said.
"Nevermind," the twins said.
They got up from their stools and walked away, leaving Jesse and Jacket feeling insulted.
"You know if you have a perfectly identical twin, technically it's possible to go fuck yourself!" Jacket called out.
"George Carlin?" Jesse asked.
"He knows exactly how to piss people off. He's funny," Jacket answered.
Junior approaches the two boys with two mugs of beers.
"Bottom's up boys," he said as he placed the mugs in front of Jesse and Jacket.
The two boys took their mugs and faced each other.
"Here's to having our freedom," Jacket said.
"I don't drink," Jesse said.
"It's only one drink," Jacket said as he then started to drink his beer.
Jesse was hesitant at first, but then began to drink his beer from the mug.
