Time War of the Main Universe:

The prodigal Son's Return.

CHAPTER.

Children of Gallifrey.

Most Gallifreyian children are not "Born" in the traditional sense. They are created through genetic engineering, in sets of thousands. Bred for specific roles in Society, and "Raised" by their clutch... For a life of duty.

However, Once every thousand years, female Gallifreyians experience a "Heat", which compels them to conceive a child the traditional way. These children were usually spoiled and treasured, while still being prepared for their life of duty.

Smartholomew, was one such child.

Smartholomew Mouthitcus

Born of the Doctor and the Master, this child later forced the two apart... through his untimely death.

However, thanks to a temporal chamber, The Time Lords gained the ability to resurrect it's dead soldiers. By pulling them out of time, and turning them into Time Abnormalities, to prevent the Paradox from splintering off into another dimension.

The Smart Mouth, was one of the few civilians resurrected. A gift to the Master, after the Madman was brought back, to fight against the Daleks. A means of controlling the Master, giving him something to fight for.

The boy resurrected, some years after a new invention. A procedure to separate a Gallifreyian's Regenerations into 13 distinct bodies. Giving them infinite regenerations, and a variety of powers.

Calling this new Elite group "Time Omnians"... well the lesser races just called them "Gamers".

Rassillion had the boy undergo the procedure, mere hours after being resurrected. That way each Master would have a boy of their own, to defend.

And maybe, convince the Doctor to help as well.

Soon there after,

With the Doctor's Last Face...

Clara Oswin Regeneration.

Clara... had a good run. And ran she did. She outran fate itself. Through thousands of carefully crafted Paradoxes, she prevented her 12th face from becoming the Valeyard, reminding him just what the name "Doctor" was supposed to mean...

Clara sighed, having finally merged with her aging magician incarnation... only for the universe to implode... did it always have to be him, errr "her", saving the universe.

This was her last face... what would the universe do when she was gone, didn't she deserve to rest?

"Father..."

Clara smiled, at the boy who stepped into her Room.

"Smart Mouth," Smiled the Clara Doctor. Looking at the first face of her son. "While I hope this is a social call... I have a feeling Rassillion sent you."

The young man flinched, then grew sad. "Why... why won't you help?"

The Doctor sighed, "I've helped enough... too much. The universe needs to learn how to get on without me."

"Then River's prophecy has finally come true," The boy sighed.

Clara raised a curious eyebrow. "You know River?"

Smartholomew gave a weak shrug. Clearly trying to keep things light, though couldn't help but be grave. "She's been helping with the War Effort... she often visits me, when she isn't discussing strategy with Rassillion."

The Doctor smirked, "Things must truly be desperate, if Rassillion is turning to humans for help."

"... they are..."

Clara groaned, "What do you want from me? I'm dying. Can't an old woman die in peace?"

"You don't have to die!" the boy snapped.

The Doctor sighed, "My whole life has been moving from one fight to the next... and I've lost... so many as a result... a life as long as mine, is one war after another... it never stops..."

"It will stop forever, if the Daleks have their way," The boy tried.

The Doctor gave another sigh, "I stopped them before... and they only came back even more dangerous... they have grown strong... in fear of me... The multiverse is in danger... because of me. I'll just make things even worse..."

The boy didn't say anything, sitting on his Mother's death bed, watching her old wrinkled face... her last face... breathing her last breaths.

"You help," The boy insisted. "That's what you've always done... and I got to agree with River. The stars might just go out if you ever stop... if you ever accept defeat... I'm sorry Father, I know you want to rest... but the universe still needs you... besides, it be pretty ironic if I got resurrected, only for you to die."

The Doctor smiled, "I do love irony."

"Normally, so do I... but maybe not in this case," Now Smart Mouth sighed. "I need you, father, bloody well damn the universe, I'm not ready to lose you Please... accept the procedure."

"I have lived for 100,000 years... I don't dare think how miserable I'd be for true eternity..."

The boy hung his head, defeated.

The Doctor laid a gentle hand on his hand, "But maybe... with my family by my side... it might actually be an eternity worth living..."

The boy smiled, "I promise, I won't leave you, not this time."
