CODEXes:

Sapient Kingdoms :

This is not the same type of Kingdom, as relating to royalty, but rather separate categories to "The Animal Kingdom".

Most Sapient lifeforms, in the Omniva Cosmos, fit into one of these categories.

Sapient Lifeforms :

Are creatures which have a higher intelligence, awareness, consciousness, and the ability to channel magic. With their evolution, guided by higher beings.

Shared Abilities :

• While most Sapiens have magic powers, unique to their species, there are some universal abilities, made standard by the Q.

Digestion :

Sapiens don't actually have lower intestines. Instead their magic fully absorbs everything the body consumes. What can't be used as nutrients is disintegrated by magical pathways, as fuel to power their magic.

Enhanced Senses :

All their senses are 1000 times more accurate then a humanoid's.

Long Life :

Most Sapients have a life expectancy of 157 cycles. While some can live much longer, or even shorter, lives. That means they live over 6000 years. Which is near 20,000 "Real World" Earth Years.

Reproduction :

• Most Sapient appear male in structure, having a penis and testicles, but no vegina. Rather their anus major purpose, is a birth canal, to fertilize and lay eggs. With nerve clusters throughout the anus, to make giving birth more pleasurable then painful.

• While most species have females as well, they are typically rare. Often being put in positions of power, as Priestesses.

• All Aliens lay eggs. Which usually spend a month inside their mother, and a year in their egg. With the egg usually being the size of a newborn human.

• Most races are genetically compatible with each other, meaning perfectly healthy hybrids are the norm. However, most species look down on interracial couples, given the gods often argue over whom the soul belongs to.

Aliens :

• Alien lifeforms, from every franchise in media, are real in the Main Universe. Although they have slightly different cultures, biologies, and technologies, then their canon counterparts.

• Aliens were artificially created by the Higher Beings, whom manipulated natural evolution, but did not act outside the process. They followed strict rules in the creation of life, though often try to outdo each other with the races ridiculous powers.

• The Aliens understand, the higher beings made them to eliminate their own boredom, but don't resent that. As most Higher Beings, are actually very compassionate, and try to help their creations, and their descendants. Even casually chatting with them.

Humanoid :

• A Category of Sapient that evolved naturally, without the aid of gods. Having evolved on billions of different worlds throughout the main universe.

• While most see them as no different then lower animals, they managed to capture the interest of a particular Q, who took to guiding the various worlds.

Due to Q's involvement with most humanoid races, they often develop similar cultures and even names for places. Such as "New York", "America", "England", and such.

• Humans have equal gender ratios, with males unable to get pregnant. They also excrete waste. Having more in common with lower animals then most other Sapients.

• As a result of all this, they are looked down on by Aliens, and sometimes kept as pets, or outright slaves.

• While humanoids cannot, normaly, be taken as familiars, there is a ritual that can bind them to an Alien Master. This gives both, all the benefits of the familiar bond.

• Typically, humanoid species are lucky if they live 10 cycles, with most not even making it to 3. However there are a handful of the more magically powerful humanoid races, that can live for hundreds of cycles. Such as the Saiyans, and the Shinobi.

Fae :

The Fae have manifested as the opposite of Sapient Life. As the Universe is all about Cosmic balances.

Their very thoughts are so foreign to Sapient Lifeforms, that just trying to understand them can drive a Sapient mad.

They use alternative logic, meaning even when they communicate in the same language... Sapiens just can't understand them. Nor can fae understand Sapiens.

It is possible for the more determined fae to learn how to comprehend Sapiens... but they describe it as "A Foreign Art", one that takes centuries of practice.

Fae Hierarchy :

There are just as many kinds of Fae, as their are animals, but unlike animals, they are all just as intelligent.

"Lesser Faeries" often serve more powerful Fae. Doing so voluntarily, to the point they believe it an honor to serve. With servants never being treated unfairly, or cruelly.

Hybrids :

Unlike Sapiens, who often shame interspecies breeding, Fae cherish them. Believing Hybrids to be the physical link between those two species.

Especially since Fae with Fae Hybrids, are impossible, but Fae with Sapient are common. When two fae couple, whoever is the more powerful, is what their child will be born as.

As a result Hybrid children are guarded and protected. The myth about Fairy Godparents, granting wishes to children, comes from Fae watching over their Sapient Hybrids, even those distantly descended from fae.

Monsters .

Monsters are not typically born, rather they manifest through a "Spawning Stone", which is a Lyrium Crystal, that has been infused with the energy of a "Cosmic Force" or "Cosmic Law".

Monsters are immortal creatures, which can resurrect themselves within days of dying. By "Respawning" through their Spawning Stone. With all their memories, and body, intact.

• While spawning is how most Monsters are born, and requires no involvement from anything but the Spawning Stone. Some monsters choose to reproduce through sex.

Either way, the monster is always born / manifested, as a baby. But are aware of all basic knowledge, and cultural norms, as instinct.

These children are raised by all monsters of their Spawning Stone, and sleep together in a communal area. While born monsters receive special attention from their biological parents. While manifested monsters have an adoptive parent, shortly after "birth". With Monsters having to compete for the honor of adopting a child.

• Monster children are rarely seen far from their village, and thereby their Spawning Stone, and in fact, many monsters will migrate back to their home village, after learning they are pregnant.

This way their village can help protect and raise the child.

This is due to children not being capable of Respawning, until they finish maturing. As their magic is too unstable, until they reach their Prime, at 100 years old.

Which is why most monster children are heavily guarded, until they are 15, when their magical core stabilizes enough to defend themselves.

• This is when they begin their formal education. Into the Sciences, Arts, Modern Living, Fighting and Weapons Use, and sometimes even Spell Casting. While forging friendships and alliances with other types of monsters, in a "safe" environment. Or, at least, in an environment it doesn't matter if they kill each other.

For Monster Schools are only found in small Pocket Dimensions, which have an "Underworld" instead of an "Afterlife". Meaning, if the children die in that dimension, they respawn a few days later, without need of a Spawning Stone. These "Underworlds" are capable of resurrecting any intelligent lifeform, even ones without magic.

With Htuom's realm having it's own "Underworld". Crafted by Htuom, themself.

• If the spawning stone is destroyed, all adult creatures born of it die. However, the stones will reform after a Cycle, with each shard of the stone, growing into a new spawning point. Effectively making the situation worse. With all adult monsters that died, immediately respawning, and more soon coming.

While monster children don't die, when their Spawning Stone is destroyed, due to their looser connection... they are permanently severed from the stone, and become mortal.

So most of these children, choose to stay in the school dimension, with the Underworld. Usually becoming teachers or staff. Most towns in these dimensions, are made of refugee monsters, that lost their connection to a Spawning Stone.

• Monster survive by absorbing magic from a given area. And while Monsters don't need to eat, some choose to. In order to absorb magic from the living. This allows them to leave the enchanted areas of their Spawning Stone.

House Elves :

• House Elves are an example of more benevolent monsters, feeding on magic. As they feed only on the excess magic of a living creature, often choosing to serve their food source, instead of eating them. Believing in "a favor for a favor" as their currency.

• Due to their more benevolent culture, many races will collect House Elf Spawning Stones, in order to control their breeding, and use them as slaves for their civilization. Something the House Elves allow, given they actually enjoy serving a master... despite usually being far more powerful.

Dragons :

• Eternal Dragons are the physical manifestation of Magic itself. Evolving in the void, and spreading throughout the Cosmos. Often breeding with other lifeforms, to create new races of dragon. They have a hierarchy, based on how closely related the species is to Eternal Dragons.

• As a result of manifesting through magic, Dragons prefer to settle on magically heavy worlds, and typically have an aversion to technology.

• Dragons are instinctually "horny buggers," and will breed with practically anything.

• Being one of the most intelligent, and magically powerful Kingdoms, Dragons require a great deal of, magic-based, food to survive. Which often results in them eating "merely sapient" lifeforms. As they view them as lesser then themselves. However, they can also survive on Lyrium Crystals.

• As Dragons cannot support their dozens of eggs, and themselves, they often pool their resources.

Each species of Dragon, would lay their eggs in their own communal nest. Which was, in turn, looked after by a specific dragon, of that species. Often called a "Dragon Lord". Who acts as both Nanny, Teacher, and Ruler, to all the young dragons. Usually having a large army of Kobolds, to help with this.

Adult dragons would frequently send magical gems, and other foods, to the young ones. Generally, this was unnecessary, as the nests were settled in territories with an abundance of magic based foods. However, it was the Dragons way of showing they were thinking of their children.

• When dragons reach adulthood, they were expected to leave the nest, and find their own isolated patch of land to hunt in. This way they don't have to fight other Dragons for resources.

• Adult dragons might be largely isolated from each other, but they still had a set of social norms, if not a few direct rules, taught to them by their Dragon Lord. Dragons even have an instinctive "hierarchy", they all subconsciously bow to.

Dragon Hierarchy :

Eternal Dragons :

The original dragon species, whom largely live in a dimension of pure bliss.

In more recent millenniums, these dragons have allowed themselves to be bound to their own set of "Dragon Balls", in order to grant Wishes.

As this was done for benevolent reasons, they often grant wishes based on how happy it will make the one making the wish. Regardless if it's what the wisher actually wants. All wishes will result in happiness.

Eastern Dragons :

The most direct descendants of True Dragons, and a race of Space Fairing reptiles, which lived in the void of space.

These reptiles have since been bred out of existence, after interbreeding with dragons to the point of their own extinction.

Eastern Dragons are viewed as royalty, as they are the most magically powerful, and rarest of all dragon species. Every word spoken, is treated as an almost holy writ.

True Dragons :

Descendants of Eastern Dragons, and a wide variety of other space dwelling races.

They are capable of traveling at Star Trek Style warp speeds, naturally. That is, without need of a star ship. They can survive the vacuum of space, and are near impervious to both hot and cold temperatures.

- From most important to least important:

Platinum Dragons,

Diamond Dragons,

Gold Dragons,

Silver Dragons,

Black Dragons,

White Dragons,

Purple Dragons,

Copper Dragons,

Bronze Dragons,

Red Dragons,

Blue Dragons,

Green Dragons,

etc.

- These are the nobles of the Dragon Hierarchy. The more pronounce the color, the higher they are in the Hierarchy. With Metallic and Chronomatic dragons often butting heads, as they are from rival species.

Kobolds :

A result of "True Dragons" breeding with House Elves.

As a result, Kobolds are technically a servant class, by instinct, but are in reality, very high ranking in the Hierarchy. They serve because they want to, and are greatly respected by all dragons.

Equus Dragons .

- These dragons are descendants of True Dragons, breeding with the "Lizard Folk" species of monster. Equus dragons are separated by clan, based on their species of True Dragon, and random magical mutations.

Each clan has a different physical trait / unique power. Based on a story by "Hope Caster" called "Our little Brother, Spike", on FiM Fiction. I highly suggest you read it, the lore alone is incredible.

- Equus Dragons are the Warrior cast, based on MLP. They are used as the foot soldiers of the dragon hierarchy. The closest thing to "Police" dragons have.

- Though these dragons never naturally get bigger then 8 feet tall, they can temporarily alter their size to be even bigger then True dragons, or as small as an ant.

- They can use touch based spells, as well as turn matter into energy and store it in their internal flames (to be retrieved later). They also have an Alchemy breath, where they use their fire to transform something into something else (usually turning rocks into Lyrium Crystals for them to eat). They can also turn matter into energy, but instead of storing it, they can send it to someone they know. As well as have people send things to them, if they are aware of their magical signature.

Mythic Dragons :

- The working class dragons. These various races are seen more as citizens, with roles in society based on their species. While they may be descended from "Eastern Dragons", They are the product of breeding with animals. Which dragons can talk to, and are considered no dumber to them then "Sapient Beast".

Western Dragons,

Wyvern Dragons,

Aquatic Dragons,

Furred Dragons,

Serpent Dragons,

Drakes,

etc.

Yokai Dragon :

The souls of dragons, that have been lost in the void. They come in all species of Dragon. They usually stand at 7 feet tall, and are more bipedal shaped. However they can turn into a more monstrous dragon form. Well not true monsters, they are near immortal creatures of great magical power.

Lower Dragons :

- Dragon races that are no more intelligent then Sapient toddlers. And are a result of Mythic dragons breeding with more animals. They are seen as sacred creatures, in need of protection and guidance.

Night Fury,

etc.

(Various species from "How to Train Your Dragon")

Beast Dragons :

- A result of Lower Dragons introducing even more animal blood. These dragons are purely ruled by instinct.

Dragonne,

Hydra,

etc.

Part Dragon Subraces :

- These are the product of Dragons breeding with Sapient lifeforms... and those lifeforms continuing to breed with Sapients, rarely preserving the dragon bloodline, only diluting it. But they still have Draconic powers. As well as some degree of their Draconic species unique abilities and physical traits.

Half Dragon :

( When any type of dragon breeds with a Sapient. Usually as a product of rape. )

Draconic Sorcerer :

( Descendants of Half Dragons, within at least 1000 Generations of breeding with Only Sapients. Sometimes after some Generations have passed and the population has grown, Draconic Sorcerers will develop societies of their own. Even breeding with each other, to preserve their bloodline. Based on "American Dragon: Jake Long". )

Draconic Heritage :

( A very distant descendant of a dragon, that has never reintroduced dragon blood into the family. However, even then, the bloodline remains, and gives the individual greater magical power... that they are often unaware of. )

Interdimensional Beings :

Interdimensional beings are creatures that were created outside a dimension, and so they don't follow any of the above rules.

They are vastly different in how they live and reproduce.

As well as are affected differently by Cosmic Laws, or even Forces. With limited bending of them. Not to any active degree, but they can passively affect reality. Such as not being bound by the Fates designs, and potentially changing the destinies of people, just by meeting them.

Interdimensional beings, which frequent this Multiverse, are: Daleks, Demons, Asgardians, Frost Giants, Fae, and many other immortal races, intrigued by what their gods built.

Devils :

Interdimensional Beings of order, which evolved in the void between dimensions.

They survive by eating souls. Trapping them in themselves, in an eternal torment. While they don't need to eat, the more souls they collect, the greater their power.

Devils will spare "Demons", in exchange for the demons servitude.

Vampires :

• Vampires are not technically monsters, but rather are descended from devils. However, they often associate with monsters.

The Devils mating venom mutated, allowing these descendants to "Turn" other lifeforms. The venom further mutates, depending on what it turns, and how many times the venom is used to turn someone. As their own means of evolution. As a result, there are trillions of different races of Vampire. With the ones most closely related to devils being the most powerful.

Demons :

When souls get lost in the Void, between multiverses, they will slowly mutate. Their Spiritual bodies gain mass, and become solid. Although they aren't made of Atoms, more physical energy. Which is how their blood can circulate, without a heart.

As Demons are mostly the souls of animals, they maintain their animal features. As well as a more animalistic nature.

Demon Packs :

Demons are pack animals. With there being three types, relating to pack: Alpha, Beta, and Omega.

• An Omega, is a packless demon, a "lone wolf". Usually through their pack being destroyed, or them being cast out of the pack. These don't tend to survive long.

• Betas are subservient to their Alpha. Having an instinctual need to please / obey their Alpha. While this can be a romantic role, it is more often then not, a platonic relationship.

• Alpha Demons are instinctive leaders. Being born to the role. As a result, they are more rare then the Betas.

• It is not uncommon for Alphas to be subservient to a stronger Alpha. Generally, this happens with younger Alphas being obedient to their elders. But it also happens when a territory has a "Demon Lord", whom all other Alphas, of that area, are expected to respect and obey.

• Sometimes, Alphas will merge packs, although this rarely happens outside mates.

Venom .

• Alpha Demons excrete a type of Venom, which they can use to mark Beta's as theirs.

• All children, from any Betas the Alpha has marked, will treat the Alpha like a second father. Despite if the Alpha is in a Romantic relationship with their parents, or not.

Mating .

• Not to be confused with the roles of Alphas and Betas, there are also Dominant and Submissive Demons. While all Alphas are Naturally Dominant, it's about 50/50 for Betas.

• While dominant Betas don't excrete Venom, they do mark their Submissive demons, by biting them and infusing them with a bit of their magic. Which is displayed as a crest, over the Submissive demon's left peck.

• Submissive Demons excrete a powerful pheromone, which they use to attract their Dominant partner.

• It is not uncommon for a powerful Dominant to have multiple Submissives, while a weak Dominant will be unable to claim any.

• For demons, gender is irrelevant to child birth. Submissive demons, be they male or female, are the only ones that can bare children.

Lycans :

• Lycans are descended from demons, which are the souls of creatures that got lost in the Void, where Devils live. These souls were mutated by the energies, and turned into new species. These species later marked Sapient lifeforms, from other dimensions, with their own mating Venom, creating lycans of all kinds.

• While Werewolves are the most common form of Lycan, there are thousands of different types. As they can be any kind of animal, including alien beast.

• The first generation of Lycans, are created by an Alpha Demon, marking a human as it's Beta. By biting them, and injecting their venom into them. This triggers a magical mutation, giving the human, and all their descendants, demonic powers.

Generally, demons frown on marking a human as pack, but it is far from taboo.
