CHAPTER 2:
That night while Jessica and Ashley were going to sleep…
"I've been thinking about something," Jessica said.
"What is it?" Ashley asked.
"What would you say if I decided to get a piercing?" Jessica asked
"Babe, you already have a piercing in both of your ears. I do too. In fact, we both have numerous pairs of earrings," Ashley reminded her.
"Not that kind of piercing," Jessica said.
"Oh. Then what kind?" Ashley asked.
"I was kinda thinking about my belly button. What do you think?" Jessica said.
"Really?" Ashley asked.
"Yeah. Aubrey told me last week about the time when she got one, and I thought maybe it'd be cool," Jessica said.
"Well, if it means that much to you, I say go for it," Ashley said.
"You really mean it?" Jessica asked.
"Of course, you know I always try to be supportive of your choices," Ashley reminded her.
"Thanks, Ashley. You're the best wife ever!" Jessica exclaimed.
Four days later, Chloe and Sarah were talking about plans for Emily's 30th birthday party. The plans involved making sure the Bellas were able to come, as well as inviting some of their other friends. Sarah knew that Garrett and Shannon couldn't be left off the invite list, especially since Garrett always seemed to make Calvin smile.
"So it looks like we're all set, and it should be a fun party," Sarah told Chloe.
"Yeah, I hope Emily thinks so too," Chloe agreed.
"I think it'll definitely be a good Idea for Garrett and Shannon to be there. It's comforting to know there's an adult out there who can really relate to Calvin and show him what it's like to grow up with autism," Sarah explained.
"It's really nice to have that. Garrett seems like a great guy," Chloe said.
"He really is. And the fact that Garrett and Emily have a history together is another reason to make sure he and Shannon are there," Sarah added.
The next day, Jessica was finally ready to get that navel piercing she had talked to Ashley about. Ashley considered getting one herself. They took turns so that while one got her piercing, the other stayed with Danny to keep him busy and make sure he didn't run off. When they were both done with their piercings, they quickly paid for their services before leaving.
"Let me see," Ashley said to Jessica while she showed off her new piercing.
"Wow, it looks really good," Ashley said.
"Yeah, it wasn't as bad as I was expecting it to be. How about you? Let's see yours," Jessica said.
Ashley showed Jessica her own new piercing, quite proud of it herself. "It looks awesome. This was definitely a good idea."
"I think so, too," Ashley agreed.
After Jessica set Danny in his car seat and buckled him up, she thought it'd be a good idea for the couple to get pictures of their new piercings to show off to the other Bellas. Once that was done, the couple got in their car and drove off.
