Chp. 46: Capital Riot

Author's Note: What you're about to read will be related to the January 6th Capitol Riot. You all are entitled to your views, but remember this is just a story.

Capitol Building

Western Entrance

January 6, 2021

A couple days have passed, and it was a cloudy day at the Capitol Building. Up on top of the Western staircase, Teams GRMA and CFDT were looking out at the Ellipse down below, where thousands of Trump supporters surrounded the area. Surrounding the Capitol were hundreds of police officers and FBI agents in riot gear.

"How many of Trump's supporters do you think there are?" Kelly asked.

"Thousands very likely," Kendra said.

"And where is the National Guard? Didn't President Trump say that he was gonna have them be at the Capitol to help keep the people back?" Robert asked.

"Yeah, I know. And there's not many riot police officers out here. Something doesn't feel right," Rebecca said

"Either way, we need to stay on guard," Jacob said.

"President Trump is going with his speech," Allen said as he was watching a live feed of President Trump giving his speech to his supporters.

The others gather around Robert to watch the video. They all listened in as Trump spoke.

"Now it is up to Congress to confront this egregious assault on our democracy. And after this and I'll be there with you, we're going to walk down... We're going to walk down anyone you want, but I think right here. We're going to walk down to the Capitol... and we're going to cheer on our brave senators, and congressmen and women. And we're probably not going to be cheering so much for some of them... because you'll never take back our country with weakness. You have to show strength, and you have to be strong. We have come to demand that Congress do the right thing and only count the electors who have been lawfully slated, lawfully slated. I know that everyone here will soon be marching over to the Capitol Building to peacefully and patriotically make your voices heard."

Robert puts his phone away as everyone looks up at each other.

"Me and my team will be on the East side of the building. Call us if something goes up," Britney said.

All of Team CFDT then turned around and walked into the entrance of the Capitol Building. A few moments later, Team GRMA then saw hundreds of Trump supporters marching up and through the Ellipse.

"Here they come," Ricky said.

The protesters reached the line of police officers and FBI agents outside the steps of the Capitol and came to a complete stop yelling, chanting, and cheering. A few minutes later, the crowd grew its numbers from hundreds to thousands.

"I'll set up a wall in front of the steps," Jacob said.

He quickly makes his way down the stairs as he draws out God's Judgment. He attaches his optic scope to his rifle and loads in a clip full of ice Dust, then transforms it into his sword mode. As soon as he reached the bottom of the stairs, he brought his sword down to the ground, and a large twelve foot wall of ice formed up behind the riot police. Jacob unfolds out his shield and then bashes a six foot hole in the wall. Jacob ran back up the stairs to the rest of his team.

"If the police fail to hold them back, then that wall will keep the protesters back for a while," Jacob said.

"And the hole in the wall you've made?" Kelly asked.

"For police access," Jacob answered, then pulled out his radio and spoke into it. "Britney, how are things on your end?"

Eastern Entrance

Meanwhile on the East side of the Capitol Building, thousands more protestors were on the plaza. The protesters confronting the riot police were beginning either fighting with the police or trying to take down their barriers. Team CFDT were up the stairs looking down at the chaos taking place down below.

"Not good, Jacob! The protesters are getting really restless with the police!" Britney answered into her radio.

"Hang in there. I'm on my way," Jacob said through the radio.

Britney puts her radio away and looks back down at the mob below,

"Why are they all so violent all of a sudden?!" Rebecca asked.

"They weren't like this before! I mean sure they were a bit riled up from Trump's speech, but not to this extent!" Robert said.

"You all wait here and try to do what you can to keep the mob in check! I go look for Jacob!" Britney said.

She ran inside the entrance, while Rebecca, Robert, and Kendra ran down the stairs to help the police.

Statuary Hall

Meanwhile inside the statuary hall, Jacob ran into the hall just as he then noticed Britney coming in from the other end of the hall. They both ran up to each other and met up in the middle of the hall.

"This is slowly getting out of hand," Jacob said.

"It's going to be a matter of time before the mobs start breaking through the lines," Britney said.

"We'll just have to do what we can to keep them out," Jacob said.

"Hello, Jacob!" a voice called out.

Jacob and Britney turned their attention to one corner of the hall. To their shock, standing across the hall stood Jacob's father, Victor Gordon, wearing a new set of attire and grew a beard. He wore a black bulletproof vest with a light brown sleeveless shirt underneath, which showed off his swastika tattoo on his left arm. He also wore a pair of summer green cargo pants and black boots.

"Dad?" Jacob asked. "How the hell did you get in here?!"

"Some people here were nice enough to let me into the Capitol. They told me you would be here. And I didn't want to miss out on this opportunity," Victor explained.

"Let you in? Who was it?!" Jacob asked.

"Like I'm gonna tell you," Victor replied.

He draws his sword as Jacob and Britney draw out their weapons in response. Jacob attaches a scope to his sword, causing the sword to grow into a long sword. Victor twirls his sword around as he approaches the Huntsman and Huntress in training. Jacob jumps over his father as he swung his sword at him, but Victor parried the attack away. Jacob lands behind Victor and swung God's Judgment at him again, but his father blocked his attack. Britney ran up to Victor and swung one of her katanas at him. Victor ducks down from the attack and swung his sword at Britney as she parried his attack. The two Beacon students start tag teaming against Victor as they exchange blows, and block and parry away each other's attacks.

Western Entrance

Meanwhile back at the West side of the Capitol, Ricky, Allen, and Kelly were right behind the riot police helping them keep the protesters away from the steps of the Capitol.

"I'm not sure how long we can keep this up!" Kelly shouted as she pushed a protester back.

"Yeah! Feels like the line is about to break at any second!" Allen said as he jabs Daburushokkā at a protester's chest, shocking the protester.

"The ice wall Jacob made for us should keep them back!" Ricky said, pushing another protestor back.

"They could also try to climb the wall!" Allen said, shocking another protestor with his batons.

Suddenly, the large crowd of rioters finally started to break through the line of riot police officers.

"Shit! Fall back! Fall back!" an officer ordered.

The officers, along with Ricky, Allen, and Kelly retreated through the hole in the ice wall. Once they were behind the wall, a couple of riot police officers grabbed onto fencing and pinned them against the only opening in the wall. The rioters were trying to either pull down the fencing, or start to climb up the ice wall, while the thousands of protesters behind the rioters stayed behind and started yelling and admonishing the rioters' actions.

"Where's Jacob when you need him?!" Kelly yelled.

Eastern Entrance

Back at the East side of the Capitol Building, the police, Rebecca, Robert, and Kendra were all struggling to keep the protesters away from the Capitol.

"There's too many of them!" Rebecca shouted.

"Where's Britney and Jacob?!" Kendra asked as she pushed a protester away with Mercy Bringer.

The giant crowd of Trump supporters then started to finally break through the line of police officers and push them back.

"Inside! All units inside now!" an officer ordered.

The line of police officers, and Rebecca, Robert, and Kendra all went up the stairs and went inside through the entrance, before closing and locking the door behind them. a few secret service agents ran up to aid the police.

"You kids check on the other entrances! We'll hold them off from here!" a secret service agent ordered the three Beacon students.

Without hesitation, Rebecca, Kendra, and Robert all split off in different directions to check on the other entryways.

Statuary Hall

Back in the statuary hall, Jacob and Britney continue their battle with Victor. Jacob swung his long sword at his father who managed to block his attack, then kicked him in the face and knocked him to the floor. He turns around to face Britney and parries away a series of sword strikes from her. He swung his sword down at Britney as she blocked his attack with her katanas and tried to push him back.

"So you're my boy's new girl I've heard about. I'll admit, you're a much better improvement then the last one he had," Victor said.

"You sure it's not just because of my looks?" Britney asked.

She finally manages to push Victor away for a moment and jumps back a few feet. She twirled her katanas around and held them both back handed before connecting both ends together into her double-bladed sword. Jacob gets up from the floor and rushes over at his father. Victor swung his sword at Jacob as he blocked his attack and pushed back against him. Britney rushes at Victor as twirled Geminos at his head just as he ducks down from the attack, then sweeps his leg at her feet, knocking Britney to the floor. Using her semblance, Britney wraps her leg around Victor's and pulls it back, making him slip and fall to the floor.

As Britney springs herself back up, she and Jacob swung their weapons down on Victor. The Neo-Nazi brought up his sword and was barely able to block their attacks. He struggles to push them back as their blades inched closer to his face, Victor looks up at Jacob and smirks.

"The guys that lead me in here told me about your mission in Afghanistan and that you killed a kid working with the Taliban! Great job there, kid!" he said.

Jacob suddenly reals back in pain, falling under the influence of his father's semblance. This gave Victor the opportunity to push his son and Britney away from him. He stands himself back up as Britney gave a series of strikes at Victor as he parried and dodged her attacks. He jumps away from another one of her attacks and as he did, Jacob wrapped his arms around his father's neck and his legs around his father's, copying his girlfriend's semblance and restraining him while he proceeds to choke him. As Britney rushes over to help Jacob, Victor pulls his son off of him and throws him at Britney, knocking them both through a door and into a hallway. Victor charges over towards them as they quickly get back up.

Senate Wing

Meanwhile in the Senate Wing of the Capitol Building, Robert was running down the hall to reach the northwest entry way. Suddenly he heard the sound of glass breaking. Robert ran as fast as he could and when he reached around the corner, what he saw next terrified him. A rioter had broken through the window next to the entryway and stepped towards the doors. Before Robert could take action, the man unlocks the doors and opens them, causing a large crowd of protestors to storm inside through the door. The Capitol was now breached.

Before Robert was about to run in to confront the mob, he then noticed that he was not trashing everything around them. Instead, they were walking around looking around, admiring their surroundings. This calmed Robert down a bit but also wondered why there didn't seem to be any police officers guarding the doors. He brushes that aside for now as he still needed to report this. He pulled out his radio and spoke into it.

"This is Robert Franklin! The mob has entered through the Senate Wing! The Capitol has just been breached!"

Western Entrance

Meanwhile just inside the entryway of the west side of the Capitol, several riot police officers, secret service agents, and Ricky, Allen, and Kelly were holding the doorway shut or pointing guns at the windows as the rioters were trying to break through the windows.

"This is bad! Really, really bad! The Capitol is now breached. and there's likely going to be more breaches coming up!" Kelly shouted.

"Has Trump said anything about this yet?!" Ricky asked.

"Let me check," Allen replied as he pulled out his phone.

He went onto Twitter and after a moment Allen spoke.

"Trump has tweeted; Please support our Capitol Police and Law Enforcement. They are truly on the side of our Country. Stay peaceful!," he said.

"At least he doesn't approve of this!" Kelly said.

"How's that supposed to make us feel better?!" Ricky asked.

"Calm down! Let's just focus on get all this under control before this escalates even further!" Allen said.

Senate Chamber

Meanwhile inside the Senate Chamber, several secret service agents were escorting the Senators out of the chamber upon learning the Capitol had been breached. Suddenly, Jacob crashes through the doors and tumbles down the stairs and onto the floor shocking everyone in the room. He looks up to see Victor stepping into the chamber. Senators quickly left the room as the secret service agents followed behind them. Just as Victor was about to make his way down to Jacob, Britney ran up to Victor from behind and slashed at his back, making him fall down the stairs. Jacob quickly gets up and steps to the side as his father falls into the same spot where Jacob had fallen.

Jacob swung down his sword at Victor, but his father blocked his attack and quickly jumped up to his feet. Britney jumps down from the stairs and swung Geminos at Victor as he jumps away from her attack. Jacob and Britney both give out several strike swings with their weapons as Victor blocks and parries them away. Victor jumps away and prepares to attack again, but from the corner of his eye, he saw protestors walking into the Senate Chamber as they were seeing the battle taking place. Victor looks back at Jacob and Britney.

"I guess we're done here... for now," he said.

Victor puts away his sword and runs up the stairs past the protestors, much to their confusion. Jacob and Britney start running up the stairs chasing after Victor. When they exit the chamber and into the hall, they find the hallway crowded with protestors, and have completely lost track of Victor.

"Shit. We lost him," Jacob growled.

"But we've got bigger problems right now. We have protestors in the Capitol!" Britney said, gesturing to all the protesters around them.

"What the hell do we do now?" Jacob asked.

"Guys!" a voice calls to them.

The two team leaders turned their heads to see Rebecca running through the crowd of protestors and up to Jacob and Britney.

"Where were you guys? We needed you!" Rebecca said.

"We had a run in with my old man," Jacob replied.

"Has Trump said anything about this yet?" Britney asked.

"He did. And I think he just released another post on Twitter," Rebecca answered. "Let me check."

She pulls out her phone and goes on Twitter. After a moment, Rebecca finds President Trump's latest tweet.

"Here it is," she said.

Jacob and Britney look over Rebecca's shoulders to look at Trump's tweet. It reads:

"I am asking for everyone at the U.S. Capitol to remain peaceful. No violence! Remember, WE are the Party of Law & Order – respect the Law and our great men and women in Blue. Thank you!"

"I think it's a little too late for that," Jacob said.

"Let's find the others first," Britney said.

The three then started to push and move their way past the mob of protestors to find their friends.

Western Entrance

Meanwhile back at the west entrance, Allen, Kelly, and Ricky were continuing to hold the doors shut to keep more of the rioters out, while the riot police and the secret service pointed their guns at the breaking windows getting ready to open fire.

"This has gotten way out of control!" Kelly shouted.

"No fucking shit!" Ricky exclaimed.

Several more police officers ran up to the doors that Allen, Ricky, and Kelly were holding closed. They pulled the three away and the police started to press themselves against the doors to hold them closed

"At least we have a bit of a break,"Allen said.

"Guys!" a voice called out.

Allen, Ricky, and Kelly turned their heads to see Jacob, Britney, and Rebecca running up towards them.

"Where the hell have you been, Jacob?!" Allen yelled.

"My dad was here, and he attacked me and Britney!?" Jacob answered.

"He's here?!" Ricky asked.

"Was. Probably long gone by now," Britney answered.

Just then running out from a hallway, Robert and Kenrda ran up to Team GRMA, and Britney and Rebecca carried gas masks in their hands.

"Guys!" Kendra called out to her friends.

"The police are getting ready to use tear gas on the protesters. They want us to put these gas masks on," Robert said.

"Also the National Guard is coming to help get these protesters out of here," Kendra added.

"Oh, now they decide to show up?!" Ricky furiously asked.

"Guys, President Trump's on the news again!" Rebecca said, looking down at her phone.

"Show us," Britney ordered. Rebecca turns her phone around for everyone to see. The screen showed a live feed of President Trump in front of the Rose Garden of the White House.

"I know your pain, I know you're hurt. We had an election that was stolen from us. It was a landslide election and everyone knows it, especially the other side. But you have to go home now. We have to have peace. We have to have law and order. We have to respect our great people in law and order. We don't want anybody hurt. It's a very tough period of time. There's never been a time like this where such a thing happened where they could take it away from all of us... from me, from you, from our country. This was a fraudulent election, but we can't play into the hands of these people. We have to have peace. So go home. We love you. You're very special. You've seen what happens. You see the way others are treated that are so bad and so evil. I know how you feel, but go home, and go home in peace," Trump said.

Everyone paused for a moment to process this information before the silence between them finally broke.

"Guess he's had enough of this madness," Allen said.

"So is everyone else," Allen said.

Suddenly, the teams heard the sounds of popping echoing throughout the halls, which soon after was followed by the sounds of coughing and screaming.

"Gas is probably released. Masks on, and move out," Jacob said.

Teams GRMA and CFDT begin to put their masks on. Once their masks were on, they ran down the hallway to help the police control the rioters.

Beacon Academy, Vale

Dorm Building

Team RWBY's Dorm Room

Meanwhile back at Beacon Academy, it was already night time as Team RWBY were laying on their beds studying for their classes. A knock on the door was heard, catching the girl's attention.

"Weiss, get the door," Yang said.

Weiss gets up from her bead and walks over to the door. She opens the door to find Team JNPR standing out in the hallway with worried expressions.

"What is it, you guys?" Weiss asked.

"You guys need to see this," Ren said.

Jaune presents Weiss his Scroll aws Ruby, Blake and Yang get up from their beds and walk over to see what was on Jaune's Scroll. Playing on his Scroll was a live feed showing Lisa Lavender and an image of the U.S. Capitol Building being stormed by Trump supporters.

"Tonight's top story comes all the way from the United States as a riot had occurred at the Capitol Building in Washington D.C.," Lisa reported.

The image changes over to a video of a large crowd of protestors storming into the Capitol Building.

"Protesters following President Donald Trump had come to the Capitol to protest against the alleged election steal of President Trump by his campaign opponent, former Vice President, Joe Biden. Despite the best efforts by the Capitol police and the aid of Beacon Academy student teams, GRMA and CFDT, the protestors had stormed into the Capitol this afternoon. Although the riot has now been put under control, five people, including four officers were reported dead at the scene, and over seventy more people injured. The House of Representatives and the Senate have declared that Joe Biden will be the next official President of the United States," Lisa reported.

All of Team RWBY were shocked at what had occurred at the Capitol, but then grew worried for their friends that were at the Capitol Building.

"I can't believe this," Yang said.

"How could this have all come to this?" Blake asked.

"I just hope our friends are okay there after all of that," Ruby said.
