CHAPTER.

Three Months Later:

"I can't believe we have to babysit a bunch of newly turned pups." Derek complained. "We can't even add them to our pack!"

"It's a good deal," Laura insisted. "We teach the pups control, in return, their families get us a Work Visa. It gets us out of America, So the Argents can't folllow us here."

Cora sighed, "Our Elders fled the Magicals of Europe, and here we are, volunteering our servitude. You know mother would never-"

"Mother's dead," Laura cut off her youngest sister. "And Even if she wasn't." Her eyes glowed red. "I'M your alpha. And I think this is what's best for our pack."

That was the end of the discussion. Both Derek and Cora knew, one day, once Laura finished college, they, and most of the younger werewolves, were supposed to leave the compound with Laura anyway. They would have been expected to follow her, and set up their own pack somewhere else... it just happened earlier then expected... with far fewer members...

It was just Derek and Cora with her... no one else. All their younger cousins had... even their elders... they were all that's left.

Mother said, she wanted Laura to build a pack near them, hopefully in the family woods... but that wasn't possible anymore. Even if it was, Laura always dreamed of travelling the world, at least, for a few years.

It was Laura's decision where they went, and wherever they settled. As the girl was a natural born Alpha. That was rare, but not unheard of. It was tradition to train them, give them a few pack members and resources... but then send them off to be their own alpha.

Derek always knew, one day, he'd have to say goodbye to his family... but he never thought it be so soon.

Derek sighed, as they continued walking down the cobblestone path. After a few minutes, to not seem like he was questioning his sister's authority, Derek asked. "Once these wizards finish their training... think they'll be able to help Peter."

Their uncle had survived the attack against their pack... but it left him comatose... He'd sacrificed himself, to save the three of them... the sole remaining members of their family.

"What do you care?" Cora scoffed. "It's your fault everyone's dead."

Laura suddenly spun around, and emitted a threatening growl. A growl so deep, so frightening... so animalistic, it couldn't naturally be produced by human vocal cords.

It was a good thing they were alone, or else she would have just outed their pack.

"The only people at fault, are the Argents," Laura insisted. "Derek's only involvement was trusting the wrong person. I never want you, to so much as think, of putting the blame on him again. Am I understood!" she continued to growl, her eyes glowing red.

Cora gulped, exposing her throat, and emmitting a pitiful whimper. Sounding more like a chastised dog, then a teenage girl.

Laura nodded, before hugging her younger sister. "I know you're angry, but you need to point that anger where it belongs. Not at the only family we have left... okay?" she asked, far more gently.

Cora sighed, "Okay." Then looked at Derek, "Sorry."

"It's okay," Derek gave a sad shrug. "I deserve it."

Laura automatically whacked him upside his head, but didn't use her Alpha powers on him. Derek was the baby of their group, at a mere 15... and she couldn't exactly order him to get over his guilt complex.

Laura did order, "Let's pick up the pace."

The small pack found themselves at a large manor, Potter Estate, with the teens presented to them.

They spent the next couple of years, teaching them everything they knew. Most importantly, how to control the shifts, and how to hide.

Each of the teenagers, instinctively, tried to submit to Laura, at least once, as was expected. After all, they were just pups, and their wolf longed for an Alpha. However, per the agreement with the wizarding families, she always refused their request.

Until one day, when Sirius was once again begging for Remus' forgiveness. Sirius instincts overwhelmed him, and he submitted to his former friend. Exposing his neck, while giving a pitiful whimper.

This triggered the other boys to Submit to Lupin... And Remus own instincts were overwhelmed. Letting out a mighty howl, and thereby accepting them as Pack.

It was probably for the best, in the long run, given Werewolves need an Alpha around... and it also was the first step in Sirius earning the forgiveness of the others, if only due to their instinctual need for each other, as pack.

The Potter and Malfoy clans, pulled their resources. Getting more rights, and protections, for Werewolves. Such as allowing them back at Hogwarts, with special classes to teach shifting.

It got to the point, the Werewolf packs, abandoned Voldemort. As they had no need of him, when the current Ministry was giving them the rights they longed for.

The werewolf packs, even began helping the Ministry fight against Voldemort, turning the tide of the war. Which triggered more rights for other magical beings.

A new council was even established, designed to discuss laws and trade, for all beings... with representatives of the more powerful clans of these beings, actually serving on the Council. While Werewolves and Vampires, of once respectable families, were given back their lost seats, on the wizengamot.

Unfortunately, more dark wizards flocked to the Dark Lord's side. Not liking the changes going on with the Ministry.
