Chp. 48: Let's Start A Riot

February 17, 2021

Just a few days after the impeachment trial, life goes on at Beacon for all of the entire student body. Inside the dining hall, the students were all having their lunches. Seated at six tables close together, Teams RWBY, JNPR, GRMA, CFDT, JAAR, and OBSA were all hanging out and having their lunches together. Kelly was looking down at her phone with a sour look on her face.

"I can't believe this," Kelly said, shaking her head.

"What?" Jaune asked.

"Ever since January 6th and Trump's impeachment trial, the left has been trying to vilify us because of our involvement," Kelly said.

"And filing out a shit ton of false claims about us," Jacob added. "Like how they're saying that I was secretly helping my dad get to the Capitol."

"Or how we were in league with the Capitol's 'insurrection,'" Kendra added.

"Or accusing us of being white supremesists," Britney said.

"Mostly towards me because I'm the son of a Neo-Nazi," Jacob said.

"How does that work since Ricky and Rebecca are black," Ilia asked

"They said that the two of us are the quote-unquote 'black faces of white supremacy,'" Ricky answered with an eye roll.

"That doesn't make any goddamn sense!" Jesse said.

"Pretty stupid logic there," Azumi said.

"They're just spiteful over the fact that we sided with Trump," Allen said.

"Would all students please report to the amphitheater, please?" Glynda announced over the P.A.

"What's this about now?" Rebecca asked.

"Professor Ozpin must have something for all of us," Pyrrha answered.

Everyone soon began to leave the dining hall to head to the amphitheater.

Amphitheater

Later at the amphitheater, all the students gathered inside as everyone was wondering why everyone was summoned here. Glynda stood on the stage behind a microphone with Professor Ozpin standing next to her.

"Quiet! Quiet please! Professor Ozpin has an important announcement," Glynda said.

The students all soon grew quiet and all paid their attention up to the stage. Glynda steps to the side as Ozpin steps up behind the microphone.

"Students, the reason why I called you all here is because something is going to be happening tomorrow on Beacon grounds. And as for what the occasion is, there is going to be a protest here tomorrow," Ozpin said.

The students all murmured in confusion as they wondered why there was going to be a protest here tomorrow.

"And as for the reason for what the protest is for is that they are demanding that I expel a group of students here at Beacon," Ozpin said.

The students all instantly started murmuring and were asking questions on which students were gonna be expelled.

"Settle down. Settle down. I will let you all know that I have no plans to expel anybody here. The reason for the demand is because of false claims and accusations of this group of students' involvement in the Capitol Riot in the United States last month," Ozpin explained.

All the students turned their attention to face Teams GRMA and CFDT, realizing that they were the group of students that these protesters want expelled, while the two teams themselves look around with slight worry. The students turned their heads back to face their headmaster.

"When that time comes, I want all of you to be on your best behavior. And do not interact with these protesters," Ozpin said. "Are there any questions?"

"Sir, who exactly will be there protesting?" Kelly asked.

"They consist of members of a group that is known as Antifa," Ozpin answered.

Most of the American students, especially Team GRMA and CFDT, Mercury, Jesse, Jacket, Fox, Mercury, and Azumi all started shouting and voicing their concerns.

"Are you crazy?! You can't let those crazed nut jobs come onto Beacon grounds!" Robert shouted.

"Some of us have had direct confrontations with Antifa! Trust us on this, they are gonna do something really stupid!" Jacket shouted.

The headmaster raised his hand, gesturing to the students to quiet down. Soon the students went quiet.

"I understand your concerns but the foreigners are entitled to protest as long as they follow the Kingdom's laws. Besides, the council has already allowed them to protest here as long as they follow the rules. Action will be taken if they do step out of line," Ozpin said.

"Let us hope so," Jacob said.

"If that is all, you're all dismissed. Back to your classes," Ozpin said.

Ozpin and Glynda walk off the stage as the students then begin to leave the amphitheater.

Courtyard

February 18, 2021

The next day in the courtyard, hundreds of Antifa protesters gathered in front of a stage yelling and chanting, while the Vale Police Department stood guard in front of the stage. Far out from the courtyard, Team GRMA, CFDT, RWBY, JNPR, JAAR, and OBSA were all watching as they were walking to their classes.

"With all this negativity in one area, it's gonna attract Grimm," Blake said.

"The UHL is on standby in case something comes up," Jacob said.

"Yeah, but knowing Antifa, they're gonna resort to violence when they're not going to get their way," Allen said.

"They sound like children throwing a tantrum over not getting a toy or treat," Weiss said.

"They're always like that, Weiss," Ricky said.

"And they are mostly comprised of college kids, or as my dad would refer to them as 'educated idiots,'" Robert said with a chuckle.

"I remember Elon Musk once quoting something about intellegence and education. What was it again?" Britney asked.

"I hate it when people confuse education with intelligence. You can have a bachelor's degree and still be an idiot," Allen answered. "Was that it?"

"Yeah, that's it," Britney said.

Britney looked at the Antifa protesters for a moment and then noticed a familiar figure within the crowd. She narrowed her eyes and soon realized who it was. It was Hera, and she was taking part in Antifa's protest.

"Guys! I see Hera in the crowd!" she shouted.

"Wait! What?!" Jacob asked in shock.

Everyone turned their heads towards the Antifa protesters and then spotted Hera within the crowd.

"What the hell is she doing?!" Watson asked.

"She should be heading to class right now!" Weiss said.

"Don't tell me she actually joined that band of idiots," Mercury said.

"It wouldn't surprise me if she did," Kendra said.

Just then, Professor Ozpin walks up to the stage and up behind the podium with Glynda following behind him. All the Antifa protesters started chanting.

"Fuck you, fascists! Fuck you, fascists!"

"I'd like to ask you all to please calm down," Ozpin spoke into the microphone.

"We'll calm down when you kick GRMA and CFDT out of your academy right now!" one of the Antifa protesters yelled out.

"Please. I am asking everyone to be civil about this," Ozpin said.

One of the protesters turned his head and noticed Team GRMA and CFDT with their four other fellow teams as they were about to walk away.

"Look! There they are! Over there!" the protester yelled as he pointed at them, catching the other protesters' attention.

The Antifa protesters turned away from Ozpin and started to run towards the six teams. The police officers ran up to the front of the crowd and began blocking and pushing them back.

"Oh crap," Emerald muttered.

"Get out of this school!" a protester yelled.

"Beacon doesn't need racists like you!" another protester yelled.

Teams RWBY GRMA, JNPR, CFDT, OBSA, and JAAR all stood and watched as the police tried their best to hold the Antifa protesters back.

"Why don't you all leave them alone?! They've done nothing wrong!" Yang shouted at the protesters.

"Shut up, bitch!" a protester yelled back at Yang.

"Stay out of this!" another protester yelled.

"We should get to our classes now," Oscar said.

Just then, Team CFVY walked up in between the six teams, glaring back at Antifa.

"Why don't you all buzz off?" Coco shouted.

"You all have no authority here!" Fox added.

"Just get out of here!" Velvet shouted.

Soon more of Beacon's students started to gather behind the seven students and all shouted and yelled at the protesters, defending Teams GRMA and CFDT. As both sides were yelling and screaming at each other, Ruby looked back at the Antifa protesters and soon saw what they were starting to do next, making her eyes widen. The protesters were pulling out molotov cocktails, bats, pipes, knives and other blunt objects. But then Ruby then sees some of the protesters pulling out guns.

"They've got guns!" Ruby yelled.

One of the armed protesters shoots one of the officers killing him, and finally breaks through the line of police officers. The Antifa protesters began to rush themselves at the students with the armed protesters shooting at them. Some of the students started to run away, but most of the students, including Teams RWBY, JNPR, CFVY, GRMA, CFDT, OBSA, and JAAR all started to either pull out their weapons, or pulls out their Scrolls, dialing for their weapon lockers which they would then crashes nearby, and allowed the students to pull their weapons out of the lockers. The students and Antifa rioters both charged at each other and both sides then clashed.

Ruby swung Crescent Rose at four rioters' legs knocking them to the ground. Two more rioters were about to shoot at Ruby from behind, but Robert rushed in and thrust Sweet Kisser into one of the gunners' back, then kicked the other in the face knocking him out. Robert pulls his spear out of the body and slashes at a nearby rioter that was charging at him. An Antifa rioter was about to throw a molotov cocktail at Robert, but someone grabs it before he could throw it. He turns to see Jacket as he whacks the rioter in the head with , then throws the molotov cocktail at three more rioters. It shatters on the ground and lights the three rioters on fire.

Watson slashes at a rioter in the chest and stomach with his Little Bladers. Two more rioters armed with bats charged towards Watson as he quickly transformed his karambit knives into his pistols and shot at both rioters killing them. Another rioter rushed at Watson, but a pair of chains suddenly wrapped around the rioter and then tossed him into the air as he then fell to the ground. Watson turns to see where those chains came from and sees Emerald retracting her chains on Thief's Respite. She then slashed at two more rioters in their throats as they rushed at her. Another rioter charges at Emerald, but suddenly gets electrocuted by Ilia as she strikes him with Lightning Lash. A rioter rushes at the chameleon Faunus, but Rebecca charges in with Hailstorm and decapitates the rioter's head. Ilia and Rebecca's backs were placed against each other as they slashed and attacked several Antifa rioters that came their way.

Kendra, Kelly, Nora, and Weiss were all fighting off a large group of Antifa rioters as they tried attacking them. Weiss created glyphs under three rioters as they then got encased in ice. A rioter rushes over at Weiss, but quickly gets knocked away when Nora smacks him with Magnhild. Kelly and Kendra swung their axes at a couple rioters that came their way. Allen swung his stun batons at two more rioters as he backed up towards Nora. Nora and Allen look at each other then down at Daburushokkā. They looked back up at each other with smirks on their faces as Allen then jabs Nora with his batons, electrocuting her. With her semblance active and charged, Nora ran up to a large group of Antifa rioters and slammed her hammer to the ground, creating a shockwave that sent the rioters flying and leaving behind a crater on the ground.

Jaune, Pyrrha, Ricky, Ren, and Jesse were all slashing and attacking any oncoming Antifa rioter that came their way. Several rioters came charging at the five students, but Azumi jumped into their path and shot a blast of wind from One For All knocking them to the ground. A couple of the rioters quickly got up from the ground, but Oscar ran up and swung his cane at one of their heads as Mercury also rushed in and kicked the other rioter to the ground, knocking them unconscious.

Team CFVY all standing in a circle as they were fending off more Antifa rioters that came their way. But as more closed in on them Rin, Ronin, and Liberty charged up to the rioters and slashed at any more rioters that they came across.

Jacob and Britney slashed at a couple rioters before turning their attention towards Hera as she held her claymore sword in her hands glaring at them.

"What the hell do you think you're doing?!" Jacob furiously asked.

"Making a difference," Hera answered.

She charged at the couple and swung her claymore sword at them. The two dodged Hera's attack and Jacob and Britney quickly retaliated as they swung their swords at their opponent as she blocked their attacks. Hera drags her hand on the ground and flung it at Jacob and Britney, creating and launching ice shards at them from her semblance. Britney and Jacob blocked and shattered the ice shards that were hurled at them. Hera quickly rushes at Jacob and kicks him to the ground and swings her sword at Britney as she quickly blocks her attack.

As the fight was going on, Professor Ozpin and Glynda watched on, knowing that they had lost control of this whole thing.

"I'll handle this," Glynda said.

She jumps off of the stage and starts to use her semblance to suspend a majority of the Antifa rioters in the air before slamming them to the ground, knocking them unconscious. As Jacob got up from the ground, he watched his combat teacher use her semblance on the rioter then turned his attention back to Hera just as he saw her kick Britney to the ground. Hera then charges up at Jacob and before she could strike at him, Jacob raised his hand at Hera as she suddenly froze to a stop as a purple aura surrounded her. Jacob had copied Glynda's semblance and was using it to lift Hera into the air. He thrusts his hand forward and sends Hera flying into a nearby wall, pinning her against it.

"Let me go! Let me go, Jacob!" Hera screamed.

Jacob looked around his surroundings and saw that the Antifa rioters were all either dead, wounded, or unconscious. Some of the students were injured, but overall were okay. Professor Ozpin walks up next to Jacob, as he glares at Hera as Jacob looks back at her with a glare of his own. Teams RWBY, JNPR, CFDT, JAAR, OBSA, and Allen, Kelly, Ricky, Rin, Ronin, and Liberty all gathered around.

"I want you all to report into my office immediately," Ozpin said.
