Chp. 50: Parents Week Pt. 1

A few weeks had passed as the students struggled to continue their studies without thinking about Antifa's attack on them. The Councils of Vale, Vacuo, Mistral, and Atlas all met up on the island of Vytal. They had also invited Menagerie's Prime Minister Ghira Belladonna to Vytal. Together they formed an organization called the Vytal Union consisting only of the Kingdoms of Remnant and the Republic of Menagerie. The first thing the VU enacted was having Antifa recognized as a terrorist organization. This move frustrated the Biden Administration and the left-wing media as they stated that Antifa was a mostly peaceful protest group and claimed that it was not an organization, while most American citizens believed that the action made by the VU was justified since Antifa attacked first.

Vale, Vacuo, and Mistral were all starting to make plans to create their own militaries, while Menagerie was still debating on having a military as well. While Atlas was skeptical of the other members of the VU building their own militaries, Atlas also knew that it would be the best option if the other kingdoms did have their own militaries because they were now a part of Earth and must be prepared for any future conflicts.

In the library, Teams RWBY, JNPR, GRMA, CFDT, OBSA, and JAAR were all seated at different tables close to each other.

"Tomorrow, all our families will be here to see us," Pyrrha said.

"I just wish it did have to be that way because of Antifa attacking us," Watson said. "Why did Antifa's brain cells go to waste over getting the idea that they should attack a large crowd of Huntsmen and Huntresses-in-training anyway?"

"Well Antifa is made up of socialists, communists, anarchists, felons with long criminal histories, and overall mentally unstable leftist nutjobs. What else did you expect?" Robert asked.

"So where's Rin, Ronin, and Liberty?" Jaune asked.

"In their dorm room, still figuring out what to do about their team now that Hera is gone," Weiss answered.

"Good riddance too. None of us can't take that cracker ass bitch no more," Jacket said.

"Well tomorrow, all our parents will be able to visit us for the entire week," Britney said.

"Unfortunately, not all of us here have families," Kelly said.

Everyone then all looked at Ren, Nora, Ilia, Jesse, Jacket, Emerald, and Mercury.

"So... what are you guys gonna do?" Pyrrha asked with unease.

"I still have my sister. And she's coming over tomorrow," Jacket answered.

"And I'm just gonna be with Jacket and Teresa when she shows up," Jesse added.

"Me and Nora aren't really sure what we're gonna do," Ren said.

"Well you guys can hang with us and our families," Jaune suggested.

"Yeah," Pyrrha nodded in agreement.

"Thanks, you guys," Nora said.

"I guess Em and I will just hang with Hazel," Mercury said.

"Hey Emerald, maybe you can spend a little time with me and my dad if you want," Watson suggested.

"Sure, I'd like to meet him," Emerald replied.

"Speaking of meeting our parents, Weiss, how do you think your sister would react when she finds out that you're dating Ricky now?" Kendra asked.

"Or how Rebecca's parents would react to Rebecca dating Ilia," Blake said.

"Or my dad and your parents would react to us dating especially. Your dad is very protective of you, just as my dad has become more worried for me and Ruby after her sexual assault," Yang added.

"I guess Winter would be a bit skeptical, but I'm sure she'll still like him," Weiss answered.

"And I'm sure my parents would like Ilia," Rebecca said.

"And yes while my dad would be very protective of me, just as much as Yang's dad, I'm sure they'll warm up to us dating... eventually," Blake said.

"My dad still questions me and Jacob's dating, but I'm hoping my family meeting will have him warm up a bit to him," Britney said.

"Good luck to all who have to introduce your dates," Azumi said.

"By the way, are you two gonna tell your dad about Raven's involvement with Summer's last mission?" Allen asked.

"Yeah. He deserves to know," Ruby answered.

"Hopefully her explanation will provide some answers," Yang said. "That is if the UHL will allow us to see her."

"Still can't get permission from the UHL, huh?" Jesse asked.

"Unfortunately," Yang answered.

"Try not to lose faith. I'm sure you'll get your answers at some point," Jacob said.

"Yeah," Ruby said with some sadness in her voice.

Main Avenue

March 15, 2021

The next day, the Beacon student body were all gathered in the main avenue in front of Beacon as they all waited for their families to arrive. Professor Ozpin and the rest of Beacon's staff all stood in front of them as the students faced them.

"Now I want you all on your best behavior when they arrive. And remember that we must speak with your families about your time in Beacon. Until your conferences are met, please enjoy yourselves," Ozpin said.

"Hopefully our parents will let us stay even after all the shit that's been happening to us," Kelly said.

"I'm sure they will," Weiss said.

"Here they come," Azumi said as she pointed up in the sky.

Everyone looked up to see three airships flew over to the landing docks as they soon made their landing. The hatch door opened as all the students' families boarded off of the airships and all made their way to their children. Ruby and Yang soon notice Taiyang and Zwei looking around for a moment and then spots the girls as they start running up to him.

"Girls!" Tai called out to his daughters.

"Dad!" Ruby and Yang called back to their father.

The three approached each other and embraced each other into a hug for a moment before releasing each other from their embrace.

"How are my girls?" Tai asked.

"We're doing okay, dad," Yang answered.

"Are you sure? Especially you, Ruby. Are you really okay after... you know...? " Tai asked.

"I'm a little shaken up, but still fine," Ruby answered.

"Where's Uncle Qrow?" Yang asked.

"He's gonna be a little late. He's been trying to hunt down the boy that tried to force himself on to your sister," Tai answered. "Honestly I wish I was with him right now. 'Cause I really, really want to have a 'special talk' with him."

"You're not the only one, dad," Yang said.

"I know you do, Yang," Tai said.

Zwei growled in approval as Yang, Tai, and Ruby all look down at him.

"Yeah, I know you do too, boy," Yang said as she knelt down to him and pets him on the head.

Ruby tugs on Taiyang's arm getting his attention.

"Hey dad, we have something to tell you," Ruby said.

"What is it, Ruby?" Tai asked.

"It's about mom's last mission. We had found out that Raven was with her on her last mission," Ruby answered, making Taiyang look back at her with a stunned expression on his face.

Blake looks around to find her parents and soon spots them as they walk around looking for their daughter. She noticed they're both wearing different outfits. Ghira was wearing a black t-shirt, light brown pants, and a pair of black boots.

Kali wore a black saree with gold-leaf trims on the edges wrapped around her and draped over her left shoulder. She also wore a purple skirt that reached down to her ankles and a strapless white lehenga under her saree, and a pair of gold bangles on her wrists. She still retains her sandals and white tabi socks.

"Mom! Dad!" Blake called her parents.

Ghira and Kali both turned to see their daughter who ran up to them. Blake wraps her arms around her father into an embrace.

"Good to see you again, Blake," Ghira said.

"How are things in Menagerie?" Blake asked.

"We've been making a lot of progress, but it's also exhausting," Ghira answered.

"I can imagine," Blake said before turning her head to face her mother.

She wrapped her arms around Kali into a hug as she did the same. They soon both released each other from their embrace.

"It's good to see you again, mom," Blake said before she placed her hand on Kali's pregnant belly. "And how's the baby doing?"

"Doing great dear. I should be expecting in a couple more months," Kali replied.

"So did you find out if it's a boy or a girl?" Blake asked.

"We have, but we'll save it for a surprise when you get back home," Kali answered.

"Do you all want to head out to Vale?" Blake asked.

"Sure, we can spend some time in the city," Ghira answered.

Watson was looking around through the crowd looking for his father, while Emerald anxiously stood next to him waiting to meet Watson's father.

"Alexander!" a voice called out.

Watson heard the voice calling out to him. He turned to the direction of the voice and saw his father speed walking towards him.

"Dad!" Watson called back to him as he waved.

He approached his father as his father wrapped his arms around Watson into an embrace. After a little while, Mr. Watson released his son from his embrace.

"How have you been doing?" Mr. Watson asked.

"It's been great, dad," Watson answered.

"I'm glad to see you're doing okay right now," Mr. Watson said.

Mr. Watson glances behind his son as Emerald approaches up to them. Watso turns around to face his girlfriend.

"Alexander, who's this?" Mr, Watson asked.

"Dad, this is Emerald. She's my girlfriend," Watson answered.

"Girlfriend?" his father asked with interest.

"It's nice to meet you, sir," Emerald said as she extended her hand.

"Nice to meet you too, young lady," Mr. Watson said as he shook Emerald's hand.

"So you all care to head out to Vale?" Watson asked.

"Sure, it would be nice to see," Mr. Watson answered.

The three started to make their way to the landing docks to board on to an airship and head out to the city.

Ricky and Weiss were looking around through the crowd around them, looking for their families. Weiss soon spotted Winter, Willow, and Whitley looking around through the crowd for her.

"Winter!" Weiss called out to her sister..

She ran over to her mother and siblings as she pulled Ricky with her by his arm. The Schnees turned their attention to see Weiss approaching as she pulled Ricky with her.

"A pleasure to see you again, sister," Winter said.

"I see you've brought Mom and Whitley with you," Weiss said.

"I wasn't easy with father getting in the way, but I've managed to get tham here," Winter said.

"I am happy to get out of there, even if it's temporary," Willow said. "Isn't that right, Whitley?"

"Whatever you say mother," Whitley said.

Winter, Willow, and Whitley all turned their attention to Ricky.

"Weiss, why is Mr. Hugo with you?" Winter asked.

"Ricky and I… are dating," Weiss answered.

Winter narrowed her eyes at Ricky, while Whitley stared at him.

"Aren't you that boy who flipped my husband on his back?" Willow asked.

"Ummm… yes?" Ricky answered sheepishly.

"I didn't think there would be anyone out there that dared go up against him like that, especially when protecting Weiss," Willow said.

"Who would have thought that my dear sister would fall for a brute like him," Whitley said.

"Ricky!" a woman's voice called.

Ricky turned his head to see three people approaching. The first was a man with short black hair, dark skin, and brown eyes. He wore a white buttoned shirt, black pants and matching dress shoes, and a pair of glasses.

The second was an overweight woman with green eyes, dark skin, and her black hair was tied into a bun. She wore aa pair of blue jeans. a pair of dark green shoes, and a gray long sleeved shirt.

The third was a young woman with dark skin like the other two, brown eyes, and long black hair with a green streak of hair on the right side of her face. She wore a pair of black leggings, a white crop top with a blue hoodie, and a pair of white sneakers.

"Ma! Dad! Charlotte!" Ricky waved to his family.

'The three finally approached up to Ricky.

"How's the one armed Huntsman doing?" Ricky's father asked.

"Fine, dad," Ricky answered.

"Good. I don't want my little baby Richard to lose any more limbs," Ricky's mother said as she hugged his son.

"Ma!" Ricky whined.

"You need to relax, mom. Ricky here seems to be doing fine holding up with one arm," Charlotte said.

"Thanks for the vote of confidence, sis," Ricky said.

"So I'm guessing this is your family, Ricky?" Weiss asked.

"Yeah, Weiss. This is my old man David, my ma, Layla, and my old sis, Charlotte," Ricky introduced.

"Aren't you four of you Schnees?" David asked, looking at the four Schnees.

"I hope there is not a problem with that," Winter said.

"Yeah dad, they are," Ricky answered his father's question. "And I happen to be dating Weiss here."

"Dating?" Layla asked, turning her head at Weiss.

"Damn, Ricky. I didn't expect you to go out with a rich girl," Charlotte said.

"We had just found out about this just a minute ago," Willow said.

"Well, care to find a place to sit down then?" Layla asked.

"Certainly," Willow answered.

The two families walked off to find a place to sit down.
