Hey everyone, if you got this far in the story thanks for reading chapter 1. This is basically a passion project that I've been wanting to create for a while so it's something that's always been on my mind, so hopefully I'll see to the end of it. This chapter will be quite long, and I'm expecting around 15+ pages… so enjoy!

Update: I'm seriously sorry about the long update if you were following the story, I went through 7 revisions and I had to sift through and fix all of the paragraph structuring. It's been 3 months too late, and again I'm sorry for that. Hopefully I can continue to produce quality chapters after this monthly.

Each chapter following onwards should be 6k plus words and this chapter is no exception, if you are new thank you so much for reading!

Location: Magnus Guild - Azrin's Room

Time: Mid Morning

POV: Azrin

The morning was never something I particularly enjoyed.

The sun was coming through the windows and stabbing me in the eyes. It's the only thing in my life I couldn't destroy, but it's also the only thing I learned to live with normally. No arguments and no threats no matter how empty or full they were.

Leaning up, the hammock creaked slightly from the ceiling as I shifted my weight before taking my weight off the hanging contraption as a whole. My vision was slightly blurry, still trying to grasp the situation at hand. It was always my weakest link and I grew super accustomed to my hearing and smell being the only ways I could really win my fights. It made normal life harder and harder as my vision got worse, and as a result my missions have been postponed until we found a complete solution.

The sad part was that I now have to actually train this kid. What can go wrong besides me ripping off one or two of his fucking legs?

Stepping down, the wooden floor underneath me complained from the sudden pressure now exerted on it. I myself had no time to complain though, and I had to start today's morning roll call with Magnus. If there was a way to snap this kid out of the hex powders effects, he would be the pokemon to know. Sounds like a simple enough plan.

As I opened my door it replied with a quiet creak. Looking in both directions, I made sure I didn't have to confront anyone and started to quietly move towards the ladder. I placed my hands on it and as soon as I did that I could hear a pokemon's footsteps behind me.

I knew who it was immediately, and said my next few words without even looking in his general direction.

''Luke, can your question wait at least 30 fucking minutes?'' This was the last goddamn thing I needed right now.

He stuttered as his response came out pretty fucked up. ''Y-y-yes ma'am.'' He then ran right back to his room.

How can a hellhound piss me off so much? I swear he does it intentionally.

My tired body started to climb up the ladder until I reached the ground level, and then proceeded to cut through the room towards Magnus' office. I sighed before knocking twice on the sturdy door to be met with a grunt from the ghost type, if even that. Opening the door revealed a sableye sitting at a small wooden desk, writing down one on one paper that was located on his left. He was occasionally glancing at another paper that was located on his right. The room was lightly furnished with a small torch being right above him being the other thing in the room.

The purple pokemon sighed deeply after I entered the room, I could tell that he was definitely frustrated.

''Times are changing quickly Azrin, more and more pokemon are becoming hostile or rogue.'' He took a sip of his coffee then he seemed to always have before continuing. ''I don't think we will have that much time to train this kid considering the state of our continent, much less the others.''

It's rare for me and him to have a genuine conversation that needed both of our attention immediately. I honestly didn't have many choices of words in this situation considering how grim it was seeming. ''Alright, here is my first suggestion. How fast can we wake up the fucker?''

Magnus smirked, which made me smile a little. The guy never seemed to cut loose, but understanding the circumstances it was understood. We can't have random pokemon dying. Yes, watching the ones who deserve it suffer was so fucking nice but we needed to be considerate for the ones who are just trying to live. Unless they got in my way that is.

Magnus poofed in a small orb from mid air as he was normally accustomed to. He then twisted the top half of it off, leaving a white like substance all over his desk.

Recoiling at the strong smell made me immediately know what it was. I pinched my nose and scolded him in a nasally voice. ''Fuck Magnus! Why do you have smelling salts!?''

The sableye shrugged and grabbed a pinch of it, checking if it would clump together before letting it fall back down gingerly in the container it was held in. ''Grab a pinch of this, put it under his nose or put it on his face and he'll wake up. Do not use too much as it might burn his skin or nose.'' He shrugged again. ''Probably.'' He then picked up the paper he was writing on before and shuffled them before placing them within arms reach on the desk. ''Here are the morning announcements and current roster but I know you are probably well aware of our short staffing right now.''

Releasing my nose, I was still recoiling from the sharp smell that was still almost completely overpowering. I quickly grabbed the lid from the desk and placed it the other half making it whole again. I'm literally sighing in relief as the smell petered out and shifted the orb to my other hand before grabbing the paper and skimming it over.

Composing myself now, I noticed that only two names on the list that were obscure were Eclipse and Helios. They both were for obvious reasons. One went to the Zero Isle's, and he hasn't been back for weeks but I suspect he's fine considering how tough the enormous dragon is.

On the other hand, Eclipse is pretty obvious considering he was kidnapped. Putting it sweetly though, no fucks were given. I was tasked with a job with an opportunity, and I took it.

Finishing most of the paperwork, I nodded to the purple pokemon and without missing a beat walked out of the small office and towards the ladder again. My footsteps resonated off the floor as I paid more attention to it, slightly getting lost in my own train of thought. Bending down, I put the paper in the same hand as the orb and walked downwards finally coming to a stop after a short bit. Looking to my right, there was a bulletin board and I tacked the paper there temporarily before proceeding to the first room past Luke's. Opening the door, I found him still passed out cold.

''Let's see if this shit works…''

Unscrewing the cap, I grabbed a pinch and rubbed it directly on his nose before shaking my hand free of the rest of the salt that might have stuck to my fur, screwing the lid back in the process before slapping the absols face gently from one side trying to wake him up faster.

''Wake up so I don't have to drag you.''

As if on cue, he started to slowly wake up, his fiery red eyes trying to focus on his environment and I smirked at his bewilderment. ''Good, you are a quick riser.''

At the quickest possible point that he heard my voice he sobered up quickly and got into a fighting stance, albeit sloppy.

All I could do was sigh before leaning on the door frame that was right behind me. ''Can this wait till later? Magnus doesn't want us fighting in the guild and he probably doesn't want me killing you anyway.''

Eclipse perked his head when he heard the name Magnus, completely leaving most of the last statement in the dust. He actually responded with interest which shocked the fuck out of me.

''You mean old man Magnus? The one my dad was super close with?''

For once I didn't know how to respond, and usually I would say something snarky but I was stumped. ''Yeah, the one and the same. He's our guildmaster.''

The absol took a deep breath unsure if he should let his guard down, but he opted to anyway out of better interest. ''Just tell me why I'm here.''

Pondering for a second, I decided if I was being fully honest or not but I decided to tell at least most of the truth if not half. ''Well kid, let's be honest. You are here to replace your father and we have no fucking clue what happened to him plus he's MIA. We don't know if he's dead or alive but our plans were to raise you in his honor and legacy… whatever the fuck that means.'' Shrugging my shoulders, I shook my head as he was trying to process everything.

He wasn't taking it well considering his sudden expression, but he kept strong to make sure tears didn't run down his face. I saw the look in his burning red eyes. Hate, Sorrow, Despair, and loneliness. The quadfecta of finally being completely alone in this world and the kid had to bear it. I should have been happy at this given moment, but honestly it was a painful reminder of what I once lived.

Arceus, I hate this kid.

Eclipse composed himself before trying to mutter out his next words. ''So what you're telling me is that my father is probably dead?''

Yours truly stared at the kid like he was a fucking idiot, cause that's what he was. ''That is what I said, don't make me repeat anything twice.''

The absol in front of me got defensive quickly, instantly putting up a mental boundary. ''Excuse me lady?! I'm the one who was left on the dark on everything, what am I supposed to do!''

All the fucks I had were gone considering he was yelling at me now, so I scoffed at him. ''You live or you die, or you can join or leave and also you can cry or stand up.'' I crossed my arms after delivering the 3 phrases as the choice was his. Rising off the doorway, I quickly made my way over to him. My body oversized him immediately, leaving a daunting shadow. The absol was overwhelmed by the sudden choices. ''Make a decision. I'm not your mother, and I'm literally only going to be your teacher for a week if you agree.'' I looked at the absol who was still planning everything out in his head, this kid was going to need help if he wanted to survive and I honestly didn't want to give it.

He raised his head up at me looking eye to eye, ready to make his final decision. ''Alright, I've made my choice…''

Location: Magnus Guild - Guest Room

Time: Morning

POV: Eclipse

My mind was flooded with all kinds of emotions, and all of them were foreign.

Was it wrong of me to choose this route? Was it alright for me to only choose this for my fathers sake rather than mine? Choosing to stay at the guild was the only sensible decision I had considering that my father was gone and my mother was long dead. I'm not sure what will even become of me at this rate.

This pokemon in front of me could not be sane in the slightest though. If she told me the whole situation without trying to know me, I'm pretty sure I would have still joined. I'm not even one hundred percent sure if she's even real or a figment of my imagination either.

I watched as she walked back towards the door and as if she barely acknowledged me, her demeanor still slightly hostile and cold. ''Get ready for roll call in 5 minutes kid, and don't make me fucking look bad.''

I was confused and wanted to ask more questions but I already understood that was a horrible idea. She almost killed me trying to retrieve me apparently, and she almost killed me when I stood up to her before. I just decided it's probably not in my best interest.

As her footsteps tapped away further and further, I got the idea to get a feel for my surroundings considering I was probably going to live here now. Hay bed on the floor, to my right was a small trash can made from some form of wood, and then a small table low to the ground for quadrupeds I guess residing in a far corner. To be honest, it was small. Much smaller than what I was used to at home, but I can't complain and have no leeway to complain at this point of my life. All I know is that I'm going to find out what happened to my father specifically, and then take action accordingly.

Justice, right? I don't even know if that gray pokemon had any.

I tried to wash away all of my uneasy thoughts, and walked slowly to the doorframe and poked my head out to the right. As my sight rounded the corner I could see a giant slender canine walking out of his room tailing after the freak from before. I think he was a houndoom? I honestly couldn't tell considering I've never really seen them. My father just used to tell me stories about all different kinds of pokemon and the journeys he's been on and this one fits the description exactly. I guess being a quick learner helps a little in situations like this.

I looked to my left to see a small corridor that opened up to a much bigger area that was slightly out of my field of vision. I ignored it and fully walked out of my room now refocusing my attention to the area the houndoom was walking towards, but they were both gone. Presumably they both went up the ladder, and I wasn't going to be left behind anytime soon. I sprinted to the ladder just to be greeted with a booming voice behind me that shook me out of my fur from the loudness of it.

''A new pokemon!''

I quickly turned around to see a giant metal pokemon standing in front of me happy as can be. Considering his weight, I was hoping he wouldn't start jumping up and down as I really don't want to die today. I didn't know how to respond so I gave a slight smile with a hint of nervousness and responded. ''H-Hello.''

For some reason that just made him happier and he started dancing around a bit making the ground around us shake. I was going pale watching the ceiling drop small flakes of debris around us.

He finally stopped after a short bit and faced me just to randomly exclaim. ''No worry, I am good Aggron!''

I was literally stunned at the weirdness of the whole incident. I tried to respond but had no ways to communicate actual words at the moment. My mouth was probably going to refuse to work after that. I pointed towards the ladder signaling for us to go upstairs.

He then cheerly exclaimed again. ''Yes! No want to make Lady Azrin mad! She mighty scary!'' He then charged forward and passed me without saying another word, leaving me dumbfounded.

I shook off the feeling and charged after the gigantic metal dinosaur, hot on his tail. As I approached the ladder I looked up to see him climbing, each one of his foot's placements bending the bamboo slightly as he went up. I waited for him to get up all the way before climbing up myself.

As I reached the top, I noticed a large group of pokemon gathered around the psychopath from before. I put my last foothold on the floor to get up all the way to be greeted by all of their eyes staring at me. All of them were in a specific formation and there had to be at least 8 pokemon that I didn't know at all. The only one that was slightly recognizable was Magnus who nodded as he made eye contact with me. I nodded back and proceeded to walk towards the group slowly and quite cautiously as all of the pokemon were completely.

No words were said until the crazy female in front of me made eye contact of her own, her sneer noticeable and apparent. ''Took you fucking long enough, now get into formation so I can start.''

I sighed and looked around, before hearing the aggron cheerfully call out to me. ''Over here!''

I sweat dropped as I made my way over to him taking place in the line that presumably my father was supposed to be and faced forward, ready for what the gray devil was going to say.

She cleared her voice before booming out to all of us. ''Alright everyone, it's time to start the day like any other. I know there are only 6 of you here right now but no complaining over the short staffing or I'll kick your asses.''

The purple cat-like pokemon in front of me shuttered at the thought, and I wasn't too thrilled about it either.

''If you haven't noticed, we have a new recruit in our midst, and it's actually Haze's son.'' She didn't show any real emotion at all, this woman was heartless.

I could see and feel everyone staring at me and I tried to keep calm and nod as they acknowledged me before returning their attention.

''He will be trained in the arena today, and so will all of you. You will find a partner or I will personally fight you.''

Everyone was in a mild panic, but no one wanted to voice it. Was she this strong? Was she really this terrifying? I refused to believe it even if she beat me up. I decided to say my piece not knowing what I was in for, be it recklessness or bravery I just couldn't tell. ''I'll fight you.''

Everyone just grew cold as I uttered the words. I overheard the female cat in front of me say a sentence that made me regret my decision immediately. ''New guy wants to die, no?''

My blood went cold. Oh crap, what did I do?

I looked at the gray demon again who was smirking evilly and had a cold tone. ''I accept runt.'' She then diverted her gaze to the rest of the guild, and everyone was quite uneasy. Be it for my safety, or just the hostility she just inputted.

''I'm going to start the roll call now, don't want to get too excited now.'' She cleared her voice before staring down at the paper, reading I presumed considering her eyes were constantly scanning it.

Her eyesight seemed shockingly bad, I honestly don't know if that's that or if she just can't read well. Wouldn't shock me considering she seems like a brute.

''If I call your name, say present, here, or whatever the fuck you want. If you don't respond, you will be going through the floor. Understood?''

Everyone quickly responded to the question besides me. ''Yes, Azrin.''

She had a slight smile before continuing. ''Good. First row, Fenrir, Silvia, and Luke.'' The gigantic fire type was the first top to respond, he had to be the biggest thing in the guild right?

The pokemon was almost 7.5 feet tall. I've never seen an arcanine that size before and his voice was deep and confident. ''I'm here.''

The next pokemon was skinny as a twig, and I presumed it was a female and guessed correctly once I heard her speak. I don't know what type she was, but she was much more bubbly than what I was expecting. ''I'm present! It's time to start the day!''

I could hear most of the guild members sigh at the statement besides one in the back, she seemed a little too eager. The last pokemon was a voice that I feel like I heard but it was a very weak one. He had no confidence from what I could hear but I could tell he was probably much stronger than most knew. He wasn't small either even for houndoom terms, as he had about another foot on me. ''I-I-I'm…''

Azrin was ready to kill the guy, she suddenly exploded and now I knew she really didn't like him. ''Spit it the fuck out Luke, so help me Arceus!''

He yelped slightly at the sudden outburst. ''I-I'm here!''

She growled slowly as a response before regaining her composure. ''Alright. Next row, you know the drill.'' She scanned the paper. ''Aries, Myra, and Noctrine.''

I looked over and noticed a tall yellow pokemon with a long neck. He actually seemed kinda arrogant, like he owned the place. ''You know I'm here, Azrin.'' He sounded off with a very pompous voice. Azrin just stared at him with annoyance, surprisingly not saying a word. I wonder how strong he really is if he could command respect like that.

The next voice was the one I overheard before, the silky foreign sounding tone was kinda easily recognizable. The purple pokemons name must have been Myra. ''Here, no?''

The last pokemon to respond was shockingly quiet, and had a very soft voice to match.. She was pitch black with yellow rings highlighting parts of her body. It was really cool! I've never seen any pokemon like the ones here. ''Present.''

The zoroark looked through the last bit of text on the paper before calling the next row which happened to be mine. ''Alright, last row let's hurry it the fuck up. Nockt, Gio and Haz… I mean Eclipse.'' She smirked at the intentional screw up. ''My bad.''

She literally knows how to crawl underneath my skin… I swear.

The first pokemon was a very femine looking ice type, but it was a male… I think? Next thing I know, I heard a very femine sounding male voice resounding. ''I'm ready to grace the day with my beauty~''

Yup, male and a very flamboyant one at that.

The next voice was the one I heard already and it was louder than an annoyed exploud. ''I am here Lady Azrin! Gio ready to start the day!''

She just simply sighed before glancing over at me. I swear he is super nice, but I can't help but think he is dumber than a Golem. I then had to chime in next, I guess I should say hi or hello? I didn't even know what to say honestly besides the obvious.

''I'm here.''

The gray furred demon looked over all of us before coming to a conclusion. ''Alright, now that is said and done we will begin training. Get all of your sorry asses down to the arena, I expect all of you to be there as soon as possible.''

She then glared at me with a wicked grin. I swear it's like I'm looking into the eyes of Giratina and hoping to not die while holding my resolve. ''Especially you. Don't keep me waiting kid.''

She then proceeded to go downstairs past everyone, most of the pokemon were now conversing and muttering to each other. I was just left staring in awe, as much as I hated her she commanded a room and that frightened me even more.

Before I could even take a step towards the ladder, I was called over by the ice pokemon.

''Hey! New guy! Come over here!''

I inwardly sighed before walking over to them, the male pokemon had a huge grin on his face. As I approached I noted that the purple cat and black pokemon with yellow rings were looking at me while being next to him. I was greeted almost immediately.

''My name is Nockt, nice to meet you!'' The situation was kinda awkward but I thought it was almost rude to not introduce myself.

''I'm Eclipse, I am Haze's son and it's nice to meet you.''

The other 2 pokemon chimed in as soon as I stated my sentence, the black pokemons voice was the first I heard. ''Oh, so you're his son. He talked a lot about you.'' She sighed before delivering her next course of dialogue. ''Helios went out looking for him, I have no clue if they are both even alright. Have faith though, they are both pretty strong.''

She gave me a warm smile and the purple cat continued to stare at me making me incredibly uncomfortable. ''Me and my siblings want you to know that this is a family, yes? This guild is our home, no?''

Why did she say yes and no? Is she broken?

Nockt giggled at my confusion and helped me out a little. ''We all have our little quirks in the guild~''

I tried to follow along, but was still lost. ''How so?''

He pondered for a second before pointing at his 2 siblings. ''Well, I'm a fashionista and Myra is… Myra.''

She seemed to puff up at the comment, growing slightly irritated. ''I am normal, no? Then stop saying I'm quirky, yes?''

I sighed at the realization that this was just so much to take in too quickly, but the ice type continued anyway. ''Noctrine is pretty quiet and is really smart, and there is even more to our family haha. The other guild members usually keep to themselves besides Gio, but he's just a big love bug!''

I couldn't help but smile at the comments. They really care about each other a lot, and honestly I want to see what makes this guild so powerful and respected apparently.

Thinking about the comment from Azrin at hand was something on my mind though. Frowning I locked myself deep in thought. I don't know if she was going to go all out or hold back like last time. As I was going deeper and deeper into thought analyzing everything, I slightly jumped as I felt Nockt's paw touch my side.

He giggled at my nerves. ''A little jumpy today? You gotta steel yourself if you are going to combat that beast! Azrin is a tough cookie and is probably the strongest in the guild. Truth be told, Aries is pretty tough too though.''

I sighed at the comment knowing he was right. My emotions were now crashing into each other like waves, it was really throwing me off.

''Well, we are gonna head down now. Hope to see you show up~'' He then walked off with the other two pokemon leaving me alone yet again. Deciding it was probably in my best interest to follow them, I knew that my fate was probably sealed. Nerves again took hold of me, and it was like there was butterfree ready to explode in my chest at any moment but I needed to do this for my fathers sake… no, for my sake. As I climbed down the ladder, the hallway that was slightly trickling with sunlight before was now practically glowing as the arena now flooded it with its full presence.

I was slightly taken back from the brightness, but it wore off quickly so I ran to the end just to arrive at the biggest room I've ever seen.

Just in front of me was an enormous arena that was probably 5 times the size of the opening area for the guild. There seemed to be 4 biomes with 1 in each corner. The ceiling had several skylights that trickled light down, and there were bleachers on the back wall and to my left making an L.

I was literally in awe at the water, rock, ice, and wooded areas. Each one was super different and could at least hold 2 battles in each. As I turned my eyes back towards the left, I could see the eeveelutions waving me over again. They were shouting out to me, but they were so far out that I couldn't even hear them which was odd. I could have sworn my hearing was honestly really good, was there noise canceling of some kind? Just as I pondered again, I got hit with an enormous shockwave that sent me off of my feet unprepared.

''Damn! That hurt!'' As I got up, I heard a slight whirring sound appear around me before being teleported to the bleachers.

I was so disoriented and confused after warping to our destination. I've never honestly experienced that one. That's gonna take some time to get used to.

As I glanced around me, there were at least 6 sets of eyes just staring at me making me incredibly uncomfortable.

The tall green and white pokemon who teleported me turned her hand well though. ''Well, I'm glad I got you out before you got hurt! That would have honestly sucked.'' She laughed after saying her part before composing herself. ''Those two out there are going at it though. Arena battles only go till first blood so you need to be quicker next time training is called instead of sightseeing.''

I blushed at the comment now feeling incredibly embarrassed. ''My apologies, this is all still very new to me.''

She smiled and just patted me on the back. ''You'll get better, we all started from somewhere, but you are just a bit unique.''

It was my turn to be confused again, man this was starting to irritate me. ''Why am I unique?''

The green pokemon sighed before starting to go into detail. Her face darkened a little. ''I have time before the next match will go on, but let it be known that every pokemon here was chosen as the best of the best in their categories. We are bounty hunters. Most of us came from normal to advanced guilds and worked our way up. You were simply recruited by being the son of one of our mid tier members. You should not exist.''

Now I was REALLY confused. Mid-tier? I didn't even know my dad was from a guild in the first place honestly and the term bounty hunter was kinda new to me. I had a general idea of what it was… but I'm still incredibly lost. It's best not to ask a question now though, I just have to mentally fortify myself and keep calm for the demon ahead of me so I decided to thank her.

''Thanks for the info, I guess.''

She cheerfully smiled. ''Anytime! Just remember that you can ask anyone questions anytime as we are all here for the same goal but some are a bit nastier than others.'' She scoffed before pointing at Azrin and Aries who were full on locked into an argument over something none of us could hear as it was outside the bleachers.

Now thinking about it, how did no one on the bleachers get affected by the shock wave? The female pokemon noticed the look on my face while looking around everywhere. ''You'll find out after the match. I can read faces pretty well you know.''

I decided to leave it at that and focused my attention to the fight that now came to an end, it was the enormous arcanine facing off against Gio. The towering dinosaur seemed to be the last one standing. I was blown away looking at the limping form of the fire dog and the steel type was just cheerfully laughing away from what it seemed like.

Another whirring sound was made before I noticed I could hear everything again outside of where I was Arcanine was cursing to himself while Gio was trying to help him and I could hear the green pokemon start shouting out some names, not in a hostile tone but in a very neutral one.

''Alright, I'm dropping the barrier! Nockt, Noctrine, and Myra get out there and start training!''

The three pokemon nodded and started to spring out towards the center of the arena where all the biomes met. I guess I was going to see a real battle afterall, and as I thought that Azrin started shouting from the side.

''Alright fuckers! Time to get this started! Fight on the first move!'' Another barrier was put up, and the pink feline decided to move first.

Location: Magnus Guild - Main Arena

Time: Mid-Morning

POV: Myra

One on my left, and one on my right! I cannot lose this one and I refuse to get mocked again over it! I think Nockt will be pretty easy to fight, but Noctrine is usually always the one to take me out considering she is my type's weakness.

In the background I could hear the energy in the air shift from my fur notifying me that Silvia's barrier was up and I made a breakneck dash for the woods. It was my only hope, and a little taunting could make things go my way. ''Catch me if you can, no?''

Noctrine wasn't ruffled very easily, and she launched a dark pulse immediately trying to level out the battlefield. I needed to run faster as I was finally almost near the clearing, the dark wave slowly catching up to me. I finally caught up to the first wave of trees just to hide behind the first one, waiting for the dark type to attack to finally hit. I felt a large crash against the tree, and almost lurched forward as the aura started to suffocate me.

Ugh, fucking dark types. As much as I love my sister, I hate fighting against any pokemon of that vile type.

As I recovered I noticed they weren't chasing after me, which got me confused. I would have to rely on my fur telling me changes in the area and environment.

I closed my eyes and focused, just to notice the air around me getting slightly colder by a few degrees. I knew Nockt was nearby and I needed to lure him out. I sprinted forward just to hear footsteps quickly trailing on my left. I stopped and set a grass knot at the base of a few trees in my surroundings.

This would have to work.

As I got out of the area I heard one of the knots tighten and spring up with a high pitched yell afterwards and it did not sound like Nockt. As I ran back over I noticed Noctrine hanging from the tree by her paw, her normally blank face was still very visible.

''Well, I'm stuck. Dark pulse won't cut through the vine so I concede.''

I smuggly smiled before hearing a torrent of ice rush by me. I panicked, and started sprinting forwards to the arena center where we started, beams of ice gracefully freezing every tree in the area.

I kept pushing forward arriving at the clearing, but the air got significantly colder and it made it harder to detect changes in the environment. It was even starting to snow from the incredible pressure drop in the atmosphere around us, more than likely making the audience watching being mesmerized and in awe.

Thinking about why he was trying harder than usual was difficult, he's not usually this aggressive. I thought for a while before turning into the rock biome, and I think I found out why and I had a plan.. hopefully.

I jumped on a rock, now slippery from falling snow and turned around to see my glaceon brother approaching me. I hope this worked honestly, I didn't want to eat an ice beam at point blank as I actually valued my face. ''Trying to impress and get with the new guy, no?''

To my honest astonishment, I was 100% correct and didn't get sniped as he turned bright red at the accusation. ''Hey, nice looking guys aren't common nowadays!''

I laughed before flicking a sizable rock at his head with psychic, and mid fluster he didn't even notice. It just bounced right off his skull before knocking him out cold, swirls replacing his normally crystal-like eyes. He was out cold. I sighed a breath or relief before walking over and tapping his badge twice notifying that the match was over.

I watched as Silvia teleported over to Nockt. Her form blurrily came into view around his body. She leaned down before checking his body and vitals and sighed as she realized I did some actual damage.

''The point of the arena is to train, not to give concussions you know.'' I felt slightly guilty about the comment, considering I just wanted to win but a fight is a fight. Nockt was definitely trying to do the same amount of damage as well. Before I could retort my next sentence I was teleported to the bleachers.

Suddenly the room started spinning as soon as we stopped and I had to focus to not end up on the floor. I had every right to be a little bit huffy, and I snapped out after getting my bearings. ''You could of warned me, no?''

The psychic type gritted her teeth in annoyance, trying her hardest to not destroy my face. She was fully ready to start screaming at me. ''Are you kidding me?! You could've actually knocked his brain loose you idi-'' She was then suddenly cut off by the dark gray beast that was grinning from ear to ear.

''Shut the fuck up, Silvia. Your voice is not going to ruin my play time.'' She walked past the gardevoir and me as if we weren't even there. It sent shivers down my spine, and I had a good feeling the new guy was going to be beaten pretty bad if this was how she was acting. Greeny decided to speak up and retort against the demon, which was a relatively bad idea. Her face was starting to contort into rage. I was going to advise her to not say anything, but she pissed me off.

The gardevoir then shrieked at the zoroark . ''EXCUSE ME?!'' As fast as she muttered the words, a murderous dark energy washed over the both of us. It was suffocating and cold. I couldn't even breath, the difference in strength from my sister to her was night and day. I was actually terrified, almost as if this would be my last chance of being alive.

''Shut. The. Fuck. Up. I will not say it again.'' Her voice was hollow and anger filled. She wasn't lying about her words, and I decided to keep my mouth shut for that very reason. I don't think I could have even said anything anyway considering I was choking from my sensitivity to the area. Silvia didn't even say a word, and was surprisingly still holding up better than me. Her resolve was strong but she knew to back down when Azrin was serious.

The absol was watching this the whole time and didn't even know what to say. I didn't even blame him. I just notioned for him to follow her before she got any angrier. Everyone was relatively silent as the absol walked towards his fate. My breathing finally caught, leaving me winded and weak. I hoped he could hold her off, cause I don't think we were going to be able to stop her.

Location: Magnus Guild - Main Arena

Time: Late-Morning

POV: Eclipse

My heartbeat was running at 1 million miles per second as I was following behind this demon and I felt so much dread just from that little outburst she made. Did I set her off this much? Why? What the hell did I do? I only challenged her! My thoughts were just running too fast for things to be processed correctly, so I silently waited for her to recite any words or movements that would be directed towards me.

She let out a big sigh as I heard the distinctive whir of Silvia's forefield going up. ''I fucking hate newbies, but that bitch is even more annoying then even that.'' The demon chuckled deeply at the last comment to her own amusement. ''I'll make you a deal. if you can survive 5 minutes of me going 100%, I won't keep you on a leash. You can come and go as you please, while making poke from the endorsement of this place.''

I was skeptical, so I knew I had to ask. ''And if I lose?''

She grinned at me evilly. ''You'll probably be dead by that point kid! I'm only doing this cause I need a good workout for once, and this opportunity tells me that I don't need to train you after all if you win.''

It was like playing with Yveltal or Giratina themselves. It was tempting though, and it would allow me to search on my own terms or get the information that I wanted. She wasn't going to help me regardless if I won this battle or not, plus it didn't help that I was alone and refused to live if I couldn't find a purpose. I need to live and find my father, I'm going to be the one to find out what happened. The decision was already made, and it ignited a fire that I didn't know I had.

I ran past her and readied myself at the intersection of the biomes. My front paws lowered ready to be on the attack. Focusing was key, and I made sure to let her know I wasn't playing. ''I accept! Bring it on, demon!''

After she arrived at the other side of the intersection, she just faced me coolly. The pokemon wasn't even fazed. Instead, she yelled out into the air. ''Magnus! I need a timer orb!''

Seemingly out of nowhere, the purple ghost just came out of what looked like a shadowy portal holding a small blue ball. He walked up to me while tapping away on it. Once he got to my feet, he tapped my side with it before looking down at it. ''Alright kid, you got 5 minutes. If you succeed I'll see you in my office. Good luck and show this ''thing'', that she can be bested.'' The sableye then looked me in the eyes before nodding and stepping back in the portal that he created.

I returned my sight to the challenge that was in front me, the sky pillar seeming like a much easier obstacle. Her arms crossed before speaking to me in the most calm voice I ever heard the female speak. ''Timer starts when you make the first move.''

Without hesitation, I leaped forward charging at her with everything I had ready to swat her in the side. With all of my might, I swung just to be met by a sidestep and air along with all of the air being rushed out of me with a huge force on my stomach. I immediately tasted iron in my mouth, as my body ragdolled several feet away from the pokemon landing on the hard soil of the rock biome.

I could hear her footsteps getting closer to me, the crunching of the soil being my only indicator that she was approaching. ''Is that all you got? I'm not playing like last time kid.'' She then flipped me over with another kick, albeit much lighter this time before laughing at me. The gray furred demon could see the misery on my face. ''If you can't fend me off for 5 minutes, you have no chance of helping anyone including yourself!''

That ignited a rage inside of me, I don't know why but I knew I had to destroy her. Every once of my being hated her, and it felt like something was clicking like a clock in my body. A heavy momentum just made me do all of the instinctual movements, and before I knew it I threw myself off of the ground with my front right paw before slamming her in the chest in the process with a sharp kick. I had no clue where the sheer athleticism came from… but I would take it in this moment.

I could see her commosing herself from a stumble before seeing a grin widening to show her sickly sharp teeth. A small amount of blood formed before running out of the corner of her mouth. She rushed forward at me with no hesitation, and before I knew it we were battling claw to claw.

We were slashing at each other before hearing a small metal like resonance bouncing off each individual hit, the toll it was taking on my body from the recoil was greater than what I expected too. This went on for a solid minute before she shouted. ''Night Daze!''

A huge torrent of dark energy just blasted away from her like a dome, I could faintly hear crackling as it came towards me at an alarming speed, the sound getting louder and louder. ''Detect!'' A small barrier went up around me, before being annihilated by the full force of the torrent of darkness. The power was insane to me, and before long it felt like I was being electrocuted. This power… was almost overwhelming. Suddenly I collapsed… and I don't know why… but I felt soothing in a way. Like I was meant to embrace it, but I quickly pushed the thoughts away as blood loosely came out of my mouth at an alarming rate.

Her laughing was the only thing that went through my head, it sounded sickeningly twisted. ''I'm surprised you didn't lose your mind and internal organs to that! Usually, a direct hit is pretty fatal!'' She lowered herself to my height on the floor before rushing forward, her figure looked like a murderer on a rampage. ''I'll be ending this now!''

She reared her hand back before it glowed a sickening purple. I panicked as a purple light came from the ground and ripped across my face. ''Punishment!''

Everything was hazy, I couldn't move but I could feel everything.

Blood. I felt a lot of it.

Pain? Too much.

The sounds? A cacophony of explosions.

The sight? Fading from my left eye, and along with it came a torrent of red fluid.

My body immediately set itself into recoil as the burning of the left side of my face was apparent. I clutched my face as if it would hold in anything but it was to no use, and as a result my once white fur was now dyed red. I could hear the demon laughing as she saw the blood pouring out.

''You really lived through that! I guess I was off by a small amount!'' She mocked my pained groans and moans before basically spitting in my face with the venom of her next words. ''I love it when weaklings suffer.''

She stared at the orb that was several feet away from us now. Her whole figure was very foggy, but I could tell what movements she was making. I couldn't even move. She stood up straight before walking to ''Time to cut playtime short, we got 15 seconds.'' She raised her foot to my face, ready to slam it down. ''Time for bedtime, kid.'' The world then faded to black.

Well that didn't end well did it? The poor kid tried to stand up and ended up being crushed figuratively and literally. Well, we will have to see where his fate lies!
