'This is a follow-up report on yesterday's incident at the M.A. rescue training facility USSR, where the hero course students were by villains. According to police investigation, the villains called themselves "The Masters of Evil" and have been plotting to kill Iron Man, who has been a teacher at M.A. since spring of this year. Police have arrested 73 villains, but they still don't know the whereabouts of their ringleader' the reporter reported the incident of the school getting the attention of a few civilians as they stopped and looked up at the screen above
In Brooklyn Heights
In a apartment building, a man received a letter from someone he hadn't seen in a long time. The writer wasn't very fond of demands on the means of communicating, but from time to time it was good thing to make the preferences of those who he knew a long time. The tall, pale skinned man with hair combed back, picked up his cup of coffee off the small table sipping it as he's reading the letter
'How you doing, old man..?' the man hear Tony's voice in calling him old man 'hope everything's fine. Time sure has gone by, hasn't it? Haven't spoken in a while. Work's been keeping me busy, but don't worry, I'm really liking life as you taught me. Since you probably still don't watch TV at much, thought you should know, I took a teaching position at M.A., I know, I know, 'Tony teaching?' Seems a long way away, doesn't it? Teaching the future generation of heroes and blah, blah, blah, I sound and look like you.
But the thing I wanted to tell you is about the Arc project. So he ended. The plan was to make it possible for an individual to be able to produce energy from the reactor, but the projects ended when there was an escape, a spider escaped and stung a kid, a boy without a Quirk. Almost like you if you think about it except yours was given to you as a serum
Nothing serious happened either, but the kid gained powers, won a Quirk. I started training him, he's a good kid, kind, courageous and strong-willed, who became a dedicated student at M.A.. Even with certain problems, he always finds clever ways to overcome obstacles, he's pretty creative almost reminds me of me. He'll become a great hero one day. But he's not the only one, the school has lots of potentials. Even got another student too in M.A. young genius who built her own suit of armor that almost exactly look mine, she's a good kid too like a few of them, she's had a tough past but she's working through it and I'll be watching her

Late after the incident at the school
The teachers were in the Conference Room meeting with Detective Yuri to discuss the investigation she had learned
Yuri: the police have investigated the group calling themselves "The Masters of Evil," and there doesn't appear to be anyone registered with the name Ezekiel in his 20s with a Quirk that lets him incinerate or melt whatever he touches. Its the same with the villain called Spot with the Portal Warping. They're probably not citizens and are using false names. In other words, they're people with unregistered Quirks who are part of society's underbelly. Or my term typical criminals
"You mean, we don't know anything" a tall broad-shouldered, muscular man with pale skin, blue eyes, blonde hair combed back with a long horse tail pony tied in the back. Wearing a blue short sleeve armor suit with silver circles, a open sleeveless red leather jacket, light blue wristbands, a gold belt and brown futuristic boots with knee pads
Two-Gun Kid: better hurry. I reckon once their vermin ringleader's gun wounds heal, they'll try again
Tony: their ringleader" he muttered
Howard the Duck: something wrong Stark?
Tony: just thinking it was a bold attack that no reasonable sane people would carry out. Even if they thought of it. To suddenly go on and on with his wild statements like that… he didn't reveal his own Quirk, but he bragged about that Sentinel… And when things didn't go the way he thought, he seem irritated. Well, the incident with the robot was to also force my hand to get serious, but
Howard the Duck: even so, it was idiotic to throw away the advantage of having unknown powers and tech when fighting against heroes
Tony: he seem so sure of himself. Even while making wild statements with a straight face. Bragging about his possessions. He really thought everything would go his way. Judging by what I saw of him when he carried on the attack, he seem like some angry kid
"A kid with power?"
"Its possibly he didn't receive any counseling like any child gets in elementary school?" a tall, beautiful woman with fair skin, pale blonde hair, and blue eyes. She also possesses a curvaceous figure and long shapely legs. She was wearing a tank top that reveals much of her cleavage and flat stomach with toned abs, with long gloves that cover her entire arms. She also wears a cape and white tight pants held by a belt and wears white heels. She seem to be wearing blue lipstick and purple eyeshadow
Two-Gun Kid: what's that got to do with anything?
Yuri: there were 73 villains arrested the other day at USSJ. They were pretty much small-timers that lurk back alleys. But the problem is how they all agreed with Ezekiel and followed him. In the current environment saturated with heroes, villainous people who have been oppressed may be drawn to that kind of simple-minded evil.

Two-Gun Kid: I reckon there are plenty of focks who don't know what to do with their Quirks
"This can be a problem"
Yuri: well, its thanks to you heroes that we're able to devote ourselves to this investigation. We'll expand our search network and continue to help in arresting these guys
Howard the Duck: a angry kid. In some sense, he could've been our student. He still has room to grow" Tony looked to him "if there was someone capable of backing him trying to mulch his malice" then Tony looked away thinking about his words
School was closed the day after the Masters of Evil attack on USSJ. They'd probably want us to have a break to relax, but it was kinda hard. And the other day, they sent us an email with a warning, we should be paired up to go to school, for security reasons..
At the Parker Household
May: Peter, its May are you up?" she knocked on her nephew's door, but didn't hear an answer "Peter! You'll be late!" she knocked again slightly harder, this time she heard a grunting sound "Peter I told you not to stay late at that forum about heroes. Isn't your friend coming?"
Peter: yeah I know May! Don't worry I'll be ready!" he finally answered back, he was sitting at his desk sketching in his notebook of idea designs for his suit. May sighed before going downstairs heading into the kitchen where she started washing the dishes as she was scrubbing the frying pan, she heard the door bell ring, grabbing a towel to dry her hands and heading towards the door, opening it seeing a surprise, it was Wanda Maximoff
Wanda: good morning Mrs. Parker, I'm Wanda Maximoff, Peter's walking partner to school" she introduced herself with fluffy cheeks smiling with her red bow in her hair
May: oh, so you're the famous Wanda" she looking at the young pretty brunette with a smile "we finally meet. Peter's talks so much about you" making Wanda blush a bit "please come in" she invited the girl inside and she entered "Peter! Your friend is here!" she yelled up stairs
Peter: okay aunt May, I'm coming!" he shouted back
Wanda: you have a very lovely home, Mrs. Parker" she said politely looking around
May: thank you" she welcomed the compliment "but please call me May, Mrs. makes me feel old" she joked making the girl shyly nodded agreeing. Wanda looked around till she saw a photo over the fireplace, it showed a young child Peter smiling holding a fishing pole
Wanda: oh my is that Peter?" she asked with a big smile looking at the picture seeing her friend
May: oh yes" she went to the girl looking at the photo "Peter was about 7 years old then" Wanda looked next with kid Peter was a slightly younger Ben Parker holding a fishing pole smiling and Peter was holding a medium size fish on the hook
Wanda: who's that next to him?
May:.. Peter's uncle. My late husband" she answered with a slight sad tone in her voice
Wanda: oh I'm sorry" she quickly apologized she had no idea
May: oh no, its fine sweetie" she reassured the girl with a smile and waving her hand "we lost him sometime before Peter went to M.A., it wasn't easy, but we've managed. In fact if I'm being honest, we're still adjusting to him being gone" she looked at the photo with a sad glance, Wanda noticed and felt bad. Peter jumped off the last step coming down stairs
Peter: okay, I'm here" he got the ladies attention and quickly changed their mood as he finished putting on his jacket
Wanda: finally. You know you shouldn't keep people waiting" she went to him
Peter: yeah I know, sorry" he giggled sheepishly with Wanda smiling at him. May couldn't help but smile at the two as well
May: you two certainly are cute together" the teens looked to her and quickly started blushing
Peter: M-M-May! Its not like that! We're just friends!
Wanda: r-r-right! Friends!" and with that, the teens left the house bidding May bye and she did the same along with them having a good day and to be safe. They were walking toward 75th Avenue Station, which made for good walking blocks.
Peter: just want to say sorry about my aunt" he rubbed the back of his head still feeling embarrassed
Wanda: no its fine, she's really nice" she smiled
Peter: yeah she is. She's the best" Wanda then looked away, her smile faded thinking about her conversation she had with May about Peter's uncle
Wanda: she told me about your uncle" she looked back at him seeing him frown "I'm sorry I didn't know"
Peter: yeah... it was hard, but I'm okay. May and I both are. Thanks" he looked to Wanda with a smile. Inside what Wanda didn't know is Peter still felt guilty and he still thinks about that night. For Wanda she couldn't imagine what it was like losing a relative, she had her mother and brother if she lost either of them, she wouldn't know what to do. Wanda nodded "but you know it is kinda weird not seeing you with Pietro" he wanted to change the subject
Wanda: what because we're twins we're supposed to be joint to the hip?
Peter: what, no. I-I mean-" Wanda giggled
Wanda: I'm just joking. We got that a lot.
Peter: who is he partner with?
Wanda: I think he has Gwen as his partner
Peter: wonder how that's going? She's a bit weird
Wanda: for my brother being with a cute girl is all that matters to him" they giggled. They arrived at the station boarding the bus, using their school IDs gaining them free access to buses and subways, they boarded. During the forty-five minute drive to a bakery on Sixth Avenue, Peter and Wanda heard people talking about the news of the school being attacked by the Masters of Evil and the involvement of young first years, luckily they weren't in their hero uniforms so they weren't recognized. The bus stopped in front of Bakery Magnolia and they were met by two of their classmate
Peter: huh? Luke?" he and Wanda came face to face with Luke Cage
Wanda: and Sam?
Luke: hmm?" he and Sam turned toward them "hey Peter. Wanda" he greeted them with a smile
Wanda: what are you doing here?
Luke: I live around here
Peter: in Harlem?
Luke: yup. Bored and raised
Wanda: that examples it. But Luke shouldn't we all be with a partner?
Peter: yeah where's yours?
Luke: well..." before he could answer, something soared at them in high speed and stopped, causing a gust of wind to blow through their hair and Wanda to use one hand down on her skirt under blowing too high as she used the other hand to cover her face along with Peter and Luke covering theirs, when they uncovered their faces and opened their eyes they saw another one of their classmates
"Please hold the applause ladies and gentlemen, The Human Rocket Nova is here!" they saw it was Sam Alexander, he was Luke's partner. Like the others he was wearing his school uniform with his backpack on his back, but he had his cosmic helmet on his head, he removed his helmet seeing Wanda he smirked approached her "well hello there" he flirted, but was quickly lifted off the ground by Luke holding him by his uniform with one arm effortlessly
Luke: alright, enough
Sam: aw come on" he groaned
Luke: we gotta go" he started walking still holding Sam
Sam: do I weigh anything to you?
Luke: nope. Its like holding a sack of apples" before putting Sam down on the ground as Sam put his helmet in his backpack and started walking "sorry about him, we're old friends. He's harmless, but he can be a bit too much at time as you noticed"
Peter: yeah we know. Its fine" he and Wanda agreed to that, they noticed Sam showing off his muscles for Wanda in which she wasn't impressed. Peter didn't even bother commenting, but he understood Luke's dilemma of dealing with a friend at times, only difference he wasn't sure if he could Flash a friend. The four boarded another bus, after another trip it was less than a fifteen minute ride before the children arrived at M.A., walking up to the school, they were happy to see no media and paparazzi they saw a familiar white hair twin of Wanda's along with a blonde with pink tips
Pietro: hey there you are! Guess we're faster even without my Quirk" he joked
Gwen: our cult has won, ahahaha!" she laughed as she and Pietro high fived each other
Wanda: very funny you two" she shook her head sighing
Luke: see you guys inside" he said as he and Sam went inside the building, they nodded as they wanted to wait for Azari to arrive
Wanda: we're all here, but where's Azari? He doesn't take the bus like the rest of us
Peter: he probably had his driver pick up his partner
Pietro: I wonder who did he get as a partner?
"I am Groot" they looked to see Azari walking with Groot
Azari: really?
Groot: I am Groot
Azari: that's really interesting
Groot: I am Groot
Azari: wow. That's great. Well I'll see you inside" he said to his humanoid tree classmate as he waved heading in.
Pietro: so you got Groot as a partner huh?
Peter: seems like you two were having a interesting conservation, you understood what he was saying?
Azari: honestly, not a word" he sighed rubbing the back of his head "I was just being polite"
Pietro: figures. Groot does seem like a cool guy, but we might need a translator for him" as he and the boys walked ahead to the school leaving the girls following behind
Gwen: sooo" she leaned over to Wanda "what did you and Peter do before meeting up with Luke and Sam?"
Wanda: n-nothing. I met his aunt, but we just talked
Gwen: ooh what about?" her eyes beamed while smiling "possible future relationship~"
Wanda: w-what!? No, Gwen!" she blushed madly hiding her face behind her book as Gwen giggled. She looked at Peter seeing him talking her brother and Azari and couldn't help but think about the conversation she had with him about his uncle, even though he said he and his aunt were fine, she could tell he wasn't inside. When the group arrived in the room, the news from last night become the topic for the class
Kamala: hey did you guys see the news? I saw it this morning
Pietro: yeah, got a taste of fame, felt like we were celebrities" he smiled in proud tone
Nico: enjoy it while you can it doesn't last for long" she said in gloomy tone
Seol: think it depends on the type of you're creating" scratching her chin
Robbie: or the fame of those close to you" he joined in
Amadeus: but after everything we've been through, its kind of crazy to think about
Sam: just imagine if the pros hadn't show up... hey!" he suddenly got hit in the head by a ball of paper
Kei: don't say that Sam!" he said in fear "I still have nightmares just thinking-"
Flash: would you shut up!" he shouted causing the short boy to yelp and shake in fear even Peter flinched slightly
Luke: but Iron Man was pretty cool stopping those villains especially sending that robot flying
Tandy: his strength and power is impressive" Tyrone nodded
Azari: everyone stop talking and sit down! Class is about to start" by walking inside the room, to warned everyone at the exact moment that the clock gave the time. He saw the class were already in their seats
Amadeus: we're already in our seats
Sam: yeah, you're the only one standing" Azari hung head low in defeat walking and seating to his desk muttering
Wanda: don't worry about it" she comfort her friend
Riri: hey, does anyone knows going to teach us today?
Amadeus: want me to make room?
Gwen: Mr. Murdock is still in the hospital..." putting her finger on her chin thoughtfully, when the class door opens answering the question
Matthew: good..." the class looked to see their class teacher, the blind hero Daredevil. His situation wasn't easy, he wore sweatpants, loose shirt and sneakers. Both his arms were bandaged, one in a sling and the other was in crutch forearm that he used to keep him balanced, he had stitches on his face, but most of the dressings must've been hidden by his clothes
Class A: Mr. Murdock, you're back already!?
Pietro: he's too much of a pro
Azari: are you sure you're alright Mr. Murdock?
Matthew: I've had worse before, besides the most important thing is that we don't delay curriculum. The fight isn't over yet
Flash: fight?
Peter: wait is this?
Kei: please not villains again!" he shivered
Matthew: the M.A. sports festival is closing in
Sam: oh yeah! Time to show what I can-" before he could finish Danny put his hand on his head interrupting him
Danny: I'm sorry, but is that a good idea professor?" he asked their homeroom teacher
Riri: isn't it a bit soon after the villains snuck inside? Couldn't they attack us again?
Matthew: apparently, the director thinks this is a good way to show that we have everything under control" he sighed tiredly "if I'm being honest I'm not the biggest supporter of the idea, but the festival could be a great opportunity for all MA students. And thanks to Stark's security upgrade it'll be strengthened five times of previous years. Even I have to agree its something that we can cancel because of some villains" he smiled slightly
This was something that the whole class couldn't dispute, being everyone and wanting to become a hero, enthusiastic about the big event. In the past, fans of sports competitions focused on world events such as Olympics or the World Cup, but the with the emergence of powers and Quirks, these competitions have diminished until they become obsolete, being replaced by sports festivals of high school students with hero course and MA being the largest and most famous school in the world, was the main focus of sports and competition fans
Laura: top heroes of all kinds will be watching. Just looking to scout" she said with a fierce look and smirk
Kei: I knew that
Pietro: and after graduating, we'll get to join some agency and become sidekicks or partners of pros
Nico: though a of people miss their chance to become independent after that and become eternal sidekicks
Matthew: well joining a famous hero agency will get you more experience and possibly popularity, but. Time is limited. One chance a year, a total of three chances. No aspiring heroes can afford to miss this event. If you understand, I wish you good luck. Do your best

Leaving the classroom, Hiro Sokuto leaves the classroom, freeing the students for lunch, but they whether talk about the upcoming sports festival
Pietro: aw man, I'm so excited" he said "I can hardly standstill" he vibrated with his super speed
Luke: whoa now" putting his hand on his white hair classmate's shoulder stopping him "easy. We're all excited that's for sure"
Tandy: we'll all get a chance to shine, no pun intend. Put on a good enough show and stand out, we'll take the first step to becoming pros
Danny: what we've been training for and worth coming to M.A.
Tyrone: that's why we're here
Riri: you're lucky Amadeus" she said to the teenage Hulk "Quirks like yours are good for these events, you'll definitely get attention
Amadeus: yeah, but I really want show off how useful my brain can be more than my muscles" remembering his uncle's fame of his early career "but you're one to talk" looking back at his vice rep "with that suit of yours you're gonna draw attention and stand out"
Nico: he's right. Iron Man's the number one hero, seeing you in a suit like his and associates" she referred to War Machine and Rescue "you'll get attention from him but many others too. Are you going to wear it?"
Riri: actually I'm gonna go with another suit I had design long before that one" she wasn't sure about using her suit out there in front of all those people, if they saw her in that there's no telling the kind of attention it could cause her and Stark knowing that a teenager was in a suit like his
Sam: I'm not worried" he stood in the front of the classroom trying to get everyone's attention, but no luck "when it comes to being flashy, I always stand out. Don't you think?" he asked turning to his tree humanoid classmate
Groot: I am Groot" he merely shrugged his shoulders
Peter: everyone's really excited for the festival" he looked to the many groups in the class talking about the event
Azari: aren't you anxious about tomorrow? We enrolled here to become heroes, so of course we'd be fired up!" he balled his hand into a fist
Gwen: its weird and funny seeing Azari getting fired up" she giggled
Wanda: Peter, Azari..." the boys looked to her seeing she smiling while giving a dark aura around her "lets do our best at the festival"
Peter: uh.. Wanda.. are you okay?" he and Azari looked at her in concern and slightly fear
Gwen: she's channeling her inner Ochako" they ignored her statement as they still looked at Wanda while Kei actually found Wanda's menacing look to be cute, concerning to get inspiration in that scene so exotic for an illustration. Gwen saw this, quickly looking for something inside her backpack full of stickers and pulled out a lamp, turning the knob switch on over his head lighting it up giving the idea
Kei: yandere Wanda!" he say excited without realizing what happened and started drawing, Gwen seemed pleased with the work. Wanda raised her fist in the air
Wanda: everyone, I'm gonna do my best!
Peter, Azari, Kei and Gwen: yeah!" they copied her raising their fists as Wanda then turned to their other classmates
Wanda: I'm gonna do my best!" she wanted to pump everyone with positive energy in themselves for the sports festival that they'll give it their best
"Yeah…" the class copied but were still surprised by her sudden personality change
Luke: what's wrong? Your personality's all over the place.
Pietro: that's my sister's way getting everyone pumped up. Just go with it" he smiled, but he wasn't the only way, Peter looked at the girl thoughtfully seeing her made him want to ask her something personal
Walking toward the cafeteria Peter, Wanda, Azari and Gwen walked together, Pietro decided to stay with their other classmates.
Peter: hey Wanda
Wanda: yes
Peter: I wanted to ask. Why did you come to M.A. and become a hero or heroine I mean" he giggled at the last part. Everyone had already said some point their reasons, Peter wanted to be a hero like Iron Man, Azari wanted to prove to his family in carrying the Panther title like his dad and brother and Gwen simply because she had no other option in the world in a world like this whatever she meant by that. Pietro's reasons were pretty obvious for the popularity, but what about Wanda?
Wanda: well... because..." she told the three her reason which caught them by surprise
Peter: huh? Money? You want to become a hero to get rich?
Wanda: if we're going to boil it down simply, yes" she blushed in embarrassment while twiddling around her ponytail "I know, its nothing heroic or honorable. Hope you think anything less of me" she looked away
Azari: of course not" he said calmly causing Wanda to look back up at them
Wanda: huh?
Azari: you seek a livelihood so you have a comfort and you'll do it while helping others, its as admirable as our goals
Peter: yeah" Gwen nodded "it was a bit surprising, but its not that different from Pietro's who wants to be famous"
Wanda: well... its just that" she looked away again, her brother may know, but she never told any of her friends during elementary, but these were her closest friends in a short time and she felt she could trust them "the reason is, we don't have much money... my mom met our dad here in M.A., when they started dating until expected, our mom got pregnant at 16 with me and Pietro. Things got worse, our grandparents threw our mother out of the house and our dad disappeared upon hearing the news, she had to drop out of school and the dream of becoming a hero to take care of both of us" she gave a sad smile while her friends looked at the girl sympathy looks hearing her story "luckily our paternal grandfather was the only one who helped her, until he died a few years ago. Our mom is working two jobs to keep us, she does everything for us and all I wanted was to help her. I'll become a hero, join a good agency and earn a lot money. Repay our mom for all the hard work she's done and she can have a easy life" she looked to her friends with determine look, her friends looked from being sympathy for her to feeling proud of her
Gwen: ppfff!" she blew in her nose into a wet tissue "WWWAAAHH!" she followed with crying suddenly going toward her and hugging so tight she could snap her in half "that was more sadder than Ochako's backstory and reasoning!" she cried, they didn't understand what she meant by that, but just went with it. Wanda could only smile shamefully as she patted the girl's back to calm her down as Azari went to them, putting his hand on Wanda's shoulder supporting her after hearing her story and her goal, the brunette smiled at him. Peter stood still feeling proud of his friend
Peter: she's not just here for some heroic fantasy, she's more down to earth and focused on reality than any of us' he thought
"Ah, Mr. Parker, there you are" they looked to see Iron Man in his armor appear from around the corner
Peter: Iron Man?" before the two could say anything more Gwen suddenly wrapped her arms around the Armored Hero still crying
Gwen: life is so cruel and unfair!" she cried
Iron Man: eh? Yes, I know, trust me" he patted the girl on the back as Azari went over to pull her off the hero
Azari: apologizes Mr. Stark, she heard a personal sad story
Iron Man: ah its quite alright, no harm. Mind if I borrow Mr. Parker for lunch?" he asked the group, Peter looked to his friends, Gwen had stopped crying and joined Wanda and Azari in looking surprised and confused of why the hero wanted to see their friend, but they nodded as Peter left to follow the hero
At the cafeteria
While students either sitting down and eating, others were in line for their food. The trio stood in line for theirs
Wanda: I wonder what Iron Man wanted with Peter?
Azari: I heard that when Iron Man was attacked by the villains during the USSJ incident, he rushed out alone to help. Perhaps he's either gonna praise or scold him
Gwen: or maybe because he's the chosen one~" she song in a melody tone, the others looked at her confusedly "nothing. But I did hear Iron Man also had a meeting with Riri too"
Azari: well that's no surprise seeing how she has a suit or armor just like his. My father did say Iron Man was reckless when he was younger, he probably sees some of himself in Peter. He's possibly taken a liking to both of them" Wanda and Gwen nodded at him. Unknowing to the three listening to their conversation was a certain classmate of theirs with black hair with white piece at the end
Inside the teacher's lounge
Tony: I'll tell you something, that fight with the robot wasn't easy" he told Peter with his helmet off while filing two styrofoam cups with coffee "the excessive use of the armor made me only able to use it for more or less an hour and a half a day" grabbing the cups, going over and sitting on the couch in front of the boy, who sat in a chair
Peter: sorry?
Tony: you don't think.. not all the problems in the world have to do with you. I know you try to help every way you can, but this isn't healthy, you can trust me. Coffee?" he offered the boy a cup
Peter: eh, yeah, thanks" he got the cup
Tony: but the reason I called you here is because I wanted to talk about the festival" getting up, going to the window seeing the city "I'll be honest with you, the time for my retirement is coming faster than I thought"
Peter: seriously?" he didn't want to believe it
Tony: yeah. And the festival is your chance to present yourself" he looked back at the boy "being the Symbol of Peace is more than having powers or a cool uniform, its about showing people who you are and making them feel safe. This festival is gonna be watched all over the world, its a chance that everyone has to observe the next generation of heroes and you need to use every moment to show what it came for, both in the initial activities and in the fights later. You know what I'm talking about right?" he looked over his glasses at the boy
