While Ryan and Graham are talking about what happened at work while Graham was having his lunch date his phone goes off. "Answer it, that is all that happened."

Graham looks at his phone and smiles, "hello Ace."

"Hello Graham." Ryan walks away seeing how happy Graham is talking to Ace. "How was the rest of your day?"

"It was good, Ryan was just informing me on what happened while I was with you."

"Anything interesting."

"Not as interesting as you." Graham can hear Ace's giggle.

"You have no idea how interesting I find you Graham."

"You find me interesting?"

"I do, it's not often that I find someone who doesn't mind blowing stuff up like me. Or find someone who doesn't mind my youthful indiscretions."

"That is more than interesting to me," Graham's voice drops a little bit. He walks over to his room and shuts the door once he's inside.

"Really."

"More than you know."

"After I left, how was your day?"

"It was fine," Ace says leaning against the headboard of her bed.

"What's wrong?"

"The most exciting part of my day was seeing you. We have nothing going on at A Charitable Earth. Shortly before we met in the volcano, I had a gala."

"I bet you looked gorgeous, though you are always beautiful."

"Graham, you always look good too," Ace hopes she can't hear her blush.

"I try. I can hear your smile."

"You can hear a smile?"

"Your voice lifts a little bit when you are happy."

"It does?"

"Yep, I find it cute."

"I find it cute when your face lights up when talking about Ryan. It shows how much you love him."

"He is a good young man."

"He is and so is his Grandad."

"I am not so young anymore, though you make me feel young."

"You make me feel good. Graham, you realize that we talk almost every day."

"It has been like this since we basically met, Ace. That is how I know that you scrunch up your nose when someone in our group gushes how some of us have gone to start charities. You sometimes let out a small screech when you see a spider."

"Please never tell anyone about that."

"Your secret is safe with me."

"Good. Did you know that when someone mentions a bus being late you say under your breath something about how you are sad with how much bus driving has changed since you retired?"

"I did not. I better not say that."

"Why I like it. It sounds like that old cliché with the old man yelling at kids to stay off my lawn."

"I hope you never yell that at me?"

"You are always allowed where I am."

"You are telling that to me?"

"I mean it. I love spending time with you. You make me happy, Ace."

"You make me happy too Graham."

"What do you say is your biggest regret?''

"Even though they forgave me, how I left the Professor, I called them heartless. Or the fact I couldn't save Manisha."

"Oh Ace, Manisha wouldn't want you to think like that. She would know that you love her to this day."

"I know."

"Also if anything from what Yaz has said, the Doc still carried some of your Nitro-9. It may have caused them some problems."

"A lot of the time Nitro-9 would cause problems. That is why I will always keep on working on it."

"Even the timer."

"Graham?!" Ace jokingly shouts.

"What?"

"That is the only thing that really needs work. For some reason I can never get it right."

"Want some help?"

"Want to know something?"

"I do."

"No one has really wanted to help me with my Nitro."

"You can't say that anymore."

"I guess I can't. Our next date, you, me, and some timers on Nitro-999."

"I can't wait, I love spending time with you."

"You have no idea how much I like to hear this.''

"As much as I like to say it."

"I hope I get to make you smile for longer."

"I hope so too, and I hope I can make you smile."

"You do make me smile. I am sure it annoys some of the people we know, with how much we smile at each other."

"I think they prefer us smiling rather than being sad. When you were in your coma, they were more than just slightly worried about how I was reacting. That is when I started to confront my feelings for you."

"When I was in my coma, is when I started to confront my feelings for you. I think I heard you talking to me."

"You probably did. I talked to you everyday, almost all day. The last time I was like that was when Manisha was in the hospital. Promise me, you will do everything possible to stay out of it."

"I will do my best Dear."

"Dear?"

"Oh I."

"No, Graham, I like it. Though we haven't been dating long, we have been talking for many months."

"Has to be around 5 now."

"Nearly half a year?"

"I know, I can't believe it. I think the psychic paper knew something."

Ace laughs, "or it could be connected to something or someone that knew."

"Everyone that knew at least one of us, was very busy then." Graham adds.

"Maybe the TARDIS?"

"The psychic paper knew what you would like to see. I got to say, I really liked the little 'oh' you said, once you saw I was a friend of the Doctor's."

"The shock on your face when I said I dealt with them in 1963."

"How was I to know that someone so beautiful traveled with them years prior."

"You also have a cute little run."

"I loved when you called the Daleks; Pepperpots." There is a knock on the door, "one sec Ace, I think Ryan is at the door."

"Ok," Graham puts down the phone.

"Come in."

"I am heading to bed, please keep the noise down, we have thin walls."

"I will try."

"Thank you."

"Of course." Ryan heads out and closes the door. "I have to be a little more quiet now." Graham whispers.

"Why," Ace whispers back.

"Ryan is going to bed, and the walls are thin according to him."

"He probably doesn't want to fall asleep hearing his granddad flirt with his girlfriend."

"Probably not, but I do like flirting with my girlfriend."

"Gordon Bennet, what others say about us, acting like teenagers."

"What do you mean by that?"

"Calling each other boyfriend and girlfriend, and needing to talk quietly, just to get in a few more minutes."

"A few more minutes can be a lifetime."

"I know." They just sit there on the phone for a few minutes listening to the other breath remembering those each has lost. "I try to cherish every moment that I have."

"So do I, especially since I had cancer."

"Do you get checked?"

"Frequently."

"I promise you Ace, I will continue to do my check ups, for Ryan, you and myself."

"Good. Can we talk about something else?"

"Let's see? A good memory?"

"As a teenager before Fenric my friends and I would go to a hill and do probably normal stupid teenager things. What about you?"

"The pride on Ryan's face when he was able to ride a bike."

"That sounds wonderful."

"It was." Graham looks over at the clock, "it is 1-AM, Ace."

"What?"

"Look at your clock."

"It is, wow. I can't even remember the last time I spent, what 6 hours talking to someone on the phone. We did talk until it was late when you two were staying with me, but not this late. I guess we should say goodnight."

"Yea," with a sigh, Graham replies.

"Do you not want to?"

"Not really."

"I think if we both show up at our jobs tomorrow, we will have some questions to answer."

"You're right. Goodnight Ace. I have loved talking to you all night."

"Goodnight, Graham, you have no idea how much I have loved talking to you all night too." They hang up, 'and I love you, Graham.' Ace peacefully falls asleep, waiting for the moment she can say those three words, that she hasn't told many people, but knowing now isn't the time to tell Graham.
