The next morning Graham groggily gets up and makes his way to the kitchen cursing at himself for forgetting to put his phone on the charger last night. With the little bit of charge remaining was able to send a good morning text to Ace. "You look tired, how long were you up talking to Ace?"

"Later than I expected."

"What do you mean?"

"It was late night early morning."

"After midnight?"

"Yes, Ryan it was."

"Ok," Ryan goes on with his morning, wanting to keep the teasing to a nil at least for now.

"So you know Ace and I want to keep as much of our relationship out of the gossip pool as possible."

"It's not so fun when others are constantly trying to butt into your new relationship, especially when it's so new."

"I can stop the teasing, but if there are any major developments, please tell me."

"I will."

"Thank you."

…..

As Ace walks into A Charitable Earth with a large mug of steaming tea, Nyssa walks up to her. "Did Graham keep you up all night or something?"

"We talked on the phone until 1-AM."

"Wow, Ace, you have been staying up late with him a lot."

"This is only the second time, the first was the night of our first date."

"I know Ace, but how many times have you spent hours talking to someone?"

"More than you think obviously," Ace walks to her office, puts her head against the door. "The first relationship I have had in a few years and those closest to me act like I never date. I may not date often, but I do date."

Ace turns and opens up the door to see Nyssa getting ready to knock, "you know I just want you to be happy right?"

"I am, and I am happy Nyssa. I hope I have more late nights talking to Graham."

"I hope you do too, Tegan and I talked like that until we had been married for a few years."

"That is something that I hear that gives me hope."

"Good. Now we actually have things to do today. We have a fundraising opportunity coming up, it might even be one to bring a date."

"If it is, I will ask Graham."

"Just think now you won't be going stag anymore."

"I know,'' she rolls her eyes, "though it wasn't bad going stag."

"Just so you know this fundraising opportunity may have some celebrities.''

"Ok.''

"Will Graham be ok with rubbing elbows?"

"He has met not only Mary Shelley, he also met Nikolas Tesla."

"These are 2023 ones you know, not reserved and trying to make changes. Some are just going to say yes for a tax break.''

"Some people genuinely care about others, you know."

"I know there is this one family, the Temple-Nobles that may be there. It seems Donna and Shaun, after being given a winning lottery ticket on their wedding day, after they got their debts taken care of, invested well and now are millionaires."

"Who was it from?"

"Don't know. She says her Mum won't tell her."

"Have you talked to her?"

"A few times, she said something about this charity that seemed perfect."

"That's good,'' Ace smiles at her friend.

A few hours later Ace's phone rings when she looks at it she laughs, "are you not tired of me."

"I can never be tired of you, though I am tired."

"We did spend most of the night talking." Ace turns her chair around and looks at the London skyline picturing Graham.

"Has anything interesting happened today?"

"We are probably going to have a fundraising opportunity, that I may need a date for."

"You have one."

"You?"

"Of course me, will I need anything?"

"Mmmm," Ace tries to think, "a suit."

"What about a tie, that matches whatever you are wearing."

"That would be lovely, though I don't know what this will entail yet."

"Tails?"

"Graham,'' Ace laughs, "I have never been to an event where the guys needed tails."

"What kind of suit do I need?"

"A regular one."

"Can I have help picking one up?"

"I would love to help you."

"Thank you."

"Any people in particular that you want help smooshing?"

"We will be talking to a family called Temple-Noble. Nyssa just told me a little about them."

"Anything I should know?"

"We don't want to freak them out. I also want to introduce you to people as my boyfriend."

"One day when you meet some of my mates, I will introduce you as my girlfriend."

"I'd like that."

"I just wanted to call to check on you to see how you were doing, my lunch is almost over."

"That's sweet, thank you. I will talk to you later."

"Good, goodbye."

"Goodbye, Graham." Nyssa enters the room.

"Did he call on his lunch break?"

"He did, and if we do end up having an event I will be introducing him as my boyfriend, and when we get the chance he will be introducing me as his girlfriend,'' Ace adds with a smile.

"I think there is a cavity forming."

"You and Tegan were this bad too, you know."

"We were? How would you know?"

"There were times Tegan would call me, telling me about something that happened."

"I am glad she found a friend like you."

"I am glad that my two closest friends are the two of you."

"I am too. Mind if I ask if you and Graham may want to go on a double date with Tegan and I?"

"Only if the two of you can keep the teasing to a minimum."

"We can, Tegan and I don't often see you like this?"

"Like what?"

"Head over heels."

"I don't know how it happened?"

"He makes you laugh?"

"I haven't laughed this much in ages."

Nyssa smiles at that, "you can tell him anything without the fear of being judged?"

"He knows that I wish that I did a little more than burned down Gabriel Chase."

"YOu what? Nevermind it's you."

"You obviously want to talk to him all the time."

"I do."

"Does he make you feel special?"

"He does."

"You two also have a few same interests and friends."

"Our next date he is going to help me with my timer for my Nitro-999."

"Woah," Nyssa steps back in shock, "you are actually letting someone near your baby?"

"Do I not let those who know about it around it?"

"Use it, yes, but nothing else. You also have explained why you love him."

"You forgot to ask if I like how he treats others."

"That I don't need to, I have seen it first hand. I also have seen you right after you two have kissed."

"I am sure you are the only one to see that."

"Not surprising; though I have a feeling that might change."

"Maybe."

"You two are going to the long hall."

"I hope so."

"Ace, all of these are why you love him."

"Something I won't tell him until I think he is ready."

"Ace."

"What?"

"Nevermind. Look, I should probably get back to my office, so I can figure out what we are going to do for the Temple-Noble get together."

"Ok, keep me informed."

"I will."
