Chapter 5: The Fastest Man Alive
Timeskip - 3 years
POV: Naruto Thawne
Laying on a bed we see a boy with jet black hair in a Kaneki hair style and cold diamond blue eyes is Naruto Thawne.
Waking up to see the ceiling Naruto smiles knowing what today is.
Graduation day.
Speeding through his daily routine Naruto walks out of the Namikaze home wearing a yellow shirt with a black fade on the arms and torso, black pants and black combat shoes. (like Eobard's prison clothes without the dagger) on his finger is the reverse flash ring. (He will wear this outfit anytime he isn't in combat or running at high speeds)
(Naruto):Seems like today will be a great day, won't it Gideon.
(Gideon): It will indeed, Mr. Thawne!
(Naruto):Hey I thought I told you to call me Naruto!
(Gideon): Apologies, I can only address you in a formal way.
It was the way I was programmed.
(Naruto): Yeah, yeah I know, but still It feels weird being addressed so formally knowing 90 percent of the village ignores me.
Flashback - 1 year ago
Hey Sensei, what are you working on?
You have been meddling with that thing for a few months now.
(Eobard): Well Naruto, this is an interactive communicator that contains artificial intelligence called Gideon.
(Naruto): Gideon?
What's Gideon?
(Eobard): Gideon is an artificial intelligence made by Barry Allen the Flash, when I broke into his base of operations I stole Gideon in order to use her against the Flash, it's a quite handy tool to have, though when I was brought to this dimension Gideon was destroyed, so here I have what remains of her and I am trying to fix her up so you can use her think of it like a birthday present from me to you.
(Naruto): You would give something so precious and delicate like artificial intelligence to me!?

(Eobard): Naruto, you have shown me what it's like to have a son, and for that I am forever grateful.

I mean look at your hair with how dark it's gotten you might as well be my son at this point.
Running up to Eobard and giving him a big hug, Naruto sheds a few tears.

Wiping away his tears Naruto gains a thought in wonder.
(Naruto): Sensei, why exactly is my hair getting Darker?
It almost has become fully black I only have a little blonde left with some of the roots still blonde on the top of my head.
(Eobard): That is probably something to do with a Genetic mutation from birth being Speeded up and boosted from the Negative Speed force in your system.
The faster you go and the more you use the Negative Speed force the more your hair will darken into a black.
(Naruto): Oh I get it now, so blonde is a positive reaction to the speed force and black is a Negative reaction?
(Eobard): Exactly Naruto, I see all that science I have been teaching you has started to kick in.
(Naruto): Ha yeah maybe.
(Eobard): Well I am almost done fixing Gideon believe it or not just a few more tweaks and she should be back to normal.
Timeskip - 30 minutes later
Upon Gideons fix a Hologram appears.
(Gideon): Hello there Professor Thawne!
(Eobard): It's been a while Gideon, I would like you to meet my star pupil and my son, Naruto Thawne the new and improved Reverse Flash.
(Gideon): Hello there Naruto, I am Gideon, a form of Artificial Intelligence, I will accept any command given to me by you or Professor Thawne.
I have also been reprogrammed to know everything about this world and all of its history so you can ask about anything of this world's history or techniques and I shall provide the information that I can to help.
(Naruto):That's really cool!
You're like a personal Assistant.
(Eobard): And that's what I fixed her up for Naruto, here take this and put it into your ear.
As Naruto looks at what Eobard threw to him he gives it a questioning look, but abides his instruction.
(Naruto): Ok?

(Eobard): That is an ear piece that I just permanently merged with your left ear so you can hear and communicate with Gideon at all times.
It is waterproof and immune to any electric shocks it takes, and is made of the strongest material as well as mixed with the softest material on this planet for your comfort.
(Naruto): Well you could have told me it was gonna hurt like a bitch first!
(Eobard): Quit whining like a baby you just received the greatest assistant ever and this is how you react, sheesh kids these days.
(Naruto): Yeah yeah whatever old man!
(Eobard): Could you at least try it out first.

Leaving with a smile on his face Naruto speeds off to meet Sasuke and Hinata

After being reminded of this ability Naruto speeds off to the academy unseen by any civilians and people.
POV: Nami Namikaze
A Light Blonde haired girl with long hair and a Lucy Heartfilia side ponytail hairstyle tied with a purple ribbon and Violet eyes like her mother, she's wearing a white jacket with black stripes on the sleeves and a purple undershirt with black pants and shinobi sandals.
(Nami): Hey Mito, Menma, have you seen Big brother Naruto anywhere?
Two figures stand where Nami calls, a male boy of the two carbon copy of Minato exact details except for six whisker like marks on his cheeks three on each side, he's wearing a black jacket with blue lines on the arm sleeves with a blue outfit under Identical to his fathers and black shinobi sandals, the female of the two has short red hair like her mother, but it's being tied up in two buns on each side of her head, also like her mother and sister she has violet eyes, she is wearing a black kimono with a red under top and a white sash around her waist to hold it together.
If you mean the loser who looks nothing like us and doesn't even share our family name anymore and is a complete failure, then nah haven't seen him.
(Mito): Menma what have I told you about insulting others, if we are to be shinobi we need to act more professional, even if we do associate with someone we have a bad history with.
(Nami): Menma, Mito!
You guys shouldn't be talking about Big brother Naruto like that!

Also you remember what Big brother said, we lost our speed because we never trained to use it properly, so technically it's our fault we lost our speed.
(Menma): Yeah yeah whatever Nami, we didn't need it to beat him, I mean did you see the way he uses it in a fight, he always loses against the Uchiha and Hyuga in spars.
(Mito): Could you both shut up, this matter isn't important to us, the only thing disappointing is Menma's attitude after what father told us.

After they argue for a bit they get ready, eat breakfast made by Kushina, and after finishing up they head to the academy.
POV: Naruto Thawne
Arriving at the academy Naruto walks in his classroom and takes a seat next to Hinata and Sasuke, like usual sakura and Ino come rushing in as a competition to impress their respective love interests, sakura being the annoying banshee she is walks up to naruto cocky knowing the hokage's children lost their speed.
Flashback - Few weeks ago
POV: Nami Namikaze
(Mito): Menma stop running around like a maniac.
You know dad said we could lose our speed any day now!
(Menma): Yeah well unlike some of us Mito I like having fun!
(Nami): Yeah Menma!
Besides, you know using your speed too much can cause you to pass out!
(Menma): Nah I figured that out a long time ago Nami, all I need to do is eat a lot and I will be good to go!
As Menma says this all of a sudden he starts getting slower and slower sparks of blue electricity fading, until he trips and falls over.
(Menma): What the hell!?
Mito quick try running!
Doing so Mito starts running only to notice it's only at high Genin to Mid Chunin speeds unlike the High speeds they could run at before.
(Mito): Seems like whatever was generating that speed has suddenly vanished.
Weird, my speed is fast for a Genin level shinobi, but definitely way slower than what we could run at before, I'll have to find a way to adjust to it.
(Menma): What about you Nami?
(Nami): I got nothing.
I can't even go as fast as you guys can.
I'm closer to your speed now Menma but not close enough, I'm still pretty far away.
(Mito): Well either way we must inform dad.
(All three of them): Father!

Running outside, concerned for their kids, they arrive in the backyard only to see that they're fine.
(Minato): Yes Mito, Nami, Menma?
(Kushina): What's wrong?
(Menma): We lost our speed!
(Kushina): See Minato, I told you it was only temporary!
(Minato): I know what you said Kushina, but still it was a great ability, one of the most fascinating I have ever seen.
It sucks that it was only temporary.
(Unknown): Maybe for your kids it was….
Jumping back Minato and Kushina protect their kids and pull out a kunai each.

Stepping out of the shadows is Naruto showing his face Eyes glowing red, body vibrating

Widening their eyes in realization they drop their kunai in surprise.

After yelling at Minato and Kushina, Naruto runs up to his room at super speed while Kushina falls on her Knees balling her eyes out because they just forgot he even existed while he was suffering alone.
(Minato): Menma, Mito, Nami, what is he talking about!
(Menma): We did nothing wrong dad, he's gone crazy!
(Mito): Menma shut up, you are only making it worse by lying.
(Menma): Mito!
I'm not trying to get into trouble for him being a weak loser!
(Nami): Dad…
(Minato): Yes Nami?
Shedding tears, Nami looks at Minato.
(Nami): Menma and Mito have been avoiding Big brother Naruto in hate because they think he is weak which is stupid because he's family and they shouldn't be acting this way towards him and I feel like he hates us
(Minato): It's all gonna be ok Nami, we will have that talk with him soon.
Clearing up her tears for a bit Kushina looks at Menma and Mito
(Kushina): Menma!

(Mito): Well mother Menma and I think that we should be focusing on the Nine tails chakra considering how powerful it is and we never really got a chance to spend time with Big brother Naruto so we grew apart or at least that's how I was.
I don't know what it was like for Menma here.

Damn it, fine Alright I was avoiding and picking on him cause he's weak and nobody wants him here, he's a disgrace to our family line from how weak he is!
(Minato): Menma!

(Menma): Yeah well I don't care Pervy sage says we should leave him behind and that's what I'm gonna do, because we are the ones that will save the world, besides you left him behind to be forgotten, so you shouldn't be talking.

Walking off to his room pissed, Menma thinks about how he will be the strongest in the family line to ever live.
(Kushina): Minato….
Minato looks down only to see a broken Kushina about to tear up
(Kushina): How are we gonna save our baby?
He's left us behind and he's all alone….
(Minato): Kushina look at me…
He is still living here under our roof.
He hasn't left us yet we can still fix our relationship with our son and his siblings.
With those few exchanges in words that night, The Fourth Hokage and his wife knew their new goal.
Word spread around Konoha, that the Namikaze children lost their speed which made the village stumble a bit, but in no time the Village hidden in the leaves got through this speed bump and got back to normal, all except the Namikaze home.

(Sakura): Hey dead last, get out of that seat so I can sit next to sasuke kun!
(Naruto): What was that pinky?
(Sakura): Um nothing, I will just go sit down now…
Getting scared about being wrong she sits next to her best friend and rival Ino Yamanaka.
POV: Sakura Haruno
(Sakura): Ino, I thought the Namikaze/Uzumaki children lost their speed.
(Ino): They did, but it looks like Thawne kept his?
(Sakura): Then Why does Thawne still have his speed?
(Ino): I don't know, but either way he's still creepy when he does that, I would hate to get on his bad side if we pass and end up on the same team.
(Sakura): You don't have to tell me twice, but either way with his grades, he will fail the Graduation exams, he's as dumb as a rock, yet he's so cocky.
Ino: Yet you gotta admit he's pretty handsome sakura.
(Sakura): He's cute, but not as cute as sasuke kun.
(Ino): You really need to get over that obsession with him, sakura.
(Sakura): Tell me that, when you stop liking Menma!
(Ino): It's just a crush, not a full blown obsession like you with sasuke, besides with how he treats other people I stopped liking him a while ago.
After saying this thought out loud Ino thinks about all the times Menma has made fun of Naruto and the way he treats him.
POV: Naruto Thawne
Sitting at his desk Naruto looks to Sasuke on his left looking out the window, then Hinata on his right looking down in thought.
(Naruto): Hey Sasuke, Hinata.
(Sasuke): Yeah what's up?

(Naruto): You guys wanna race and see who can get their Headband first?
(Hinata): Sure Naruto kun, it sounds fun!

The winner chooses dinner while the loser pays!

Naruto's siblings then walk through the door with Menma looking up at him with a glare, while Mito has an expressionless face, and Nami a caring, and sincere smile towards Naruto. Following behind them is Iruka.
(Iruka): Ok class I am glad you all are here for today's Graduation Test. Each and everyone of you will be called one by one to come into a separate room where Mizuki and I will be evaluating you and will decide if you pass and become Shinobi or not.
To start this graduation test off,Sakura Haruno please follow us and we will proceed with your graduation exam.
Timeskip - 30 minutes later
(Naruto): Of course I'm the last one just my luck, at least Hinata went before Sasuke and I already know that she's capable of passing.
The classroom door then opens, walking through the door, Iruka and Mizuki appear.
(Iruka): Naruto Thawne, since you are the last one we will have your graduation exam here.
(Naruto): Alright time to get this over with.
(Irkua): ok do your best if you complete these three Jutsu you will pass and become a shinobi
Please perform a substitution jutsu.
Doing so Naruto performs a substitution switching with a chair using no hand signs to do so.
(Iruka): Good, nicely done.
Now please perform a transformation Jutsu
Nodding a puff of smoke appeared and standing in Naruto's place was Eobard Thawne.
(Naruto transformed as Eobard): I hope this will suffice Iruka sensei….
(Mizuki): Incorrect, you were supposed to transform into one of us, Naruto.
Turning back into himself in a puff of smoke, Naruto glares at Mizuki daring for him to say something else.
(Iruka): Actually, it's fine Mizuki, all it says on the form is use the transformation Jutsu so since he did what was asked he passes this part.
Now all that's left is for you to do a clone Jutsu.
Any clone jutsu is fine since Menma, Nami, and Mito performed the Shadow clone.
I would assume the Hokage would have taught you that as well.
(Naruto): Well sadly that man hasn't taught me anything Iruka sensei and neither do I need him to teach me anything, everything he could teach me is worthless and even if he did have something worth teaching, I don't want his help ever.
Seeing the Hate in Naruto's eyes Iruka wonders what happened to make Naruto this way.
(Mizuki): Well as much as we would love to talk about your sob story Naruto were in the middle of an exam so please perform a clone Jutsu.
(Naruto): Ok just don't get freaked out ok.
After warning Iruka and Mizuki, Naruto holds up one finger and shows them a speed mirage. (how Eobard Thawne did with Cisco)
(Iruka): With no hand signs and it's a solid clone, that's impressive Naruto and I am happy to say you graduate, I am proud of you.
(Naruto): Thank you Iruka sensei, it means a lot that you believe in me….
Smiling back, Iruka shows Naruto the colors he can choose.
Choosing black out of the other colors, Naruto ties his headband around his right arm.
Before walking out of the class Naruto here's his name being called.
(Iruka): Hey Naruto!
(Naruto): Yeah Iruka sensei?
(Iruka): Want to celebrate by getting some ramen with me?
(Naruto): Well I can't because I lost a bet with Hinata and Sasuke, the winner picks where to go to celebrate, while the losers had to pay.
As you can see, I was clearly not the winner Heh, it was Hinata since she was called first.

(Iruka): Sounds like a luck based bet to me, but yeah I don't mind in the slightest go have fun with your friends.

Saying his goodbyes Naruto heads out the academy entrance to see Hinata and Sasuke waiting on him, but behind them are the Namikaze/Uzumaki family.

Out of nowhere Naruto gets tackled by Nami as the others watching (not Hinata and Sasuke) walk up to him.

Speeding out of Nami's grasp and letting her fall on the ground Naruto goes to his friends, but before he could speed off with them he's stopped by Kushina.
(Kushina): Naruto!

Getting up from the ground Nami looks towards here dad with a somber expression
Seeing this Minato gains a thoughtful look.

Gaining a smirk on his face, Naruto humor's him and accepts his challenge.

(Minato): Ok then, meet at the academy tomorrow we will decide who is the fastest man alive.
Gaining a shocked and surprised expression, Sasuke walks over to Naruto.
(Sasuke): Thawne!

I mean it is the fourth Hokage who killed over 1000 men in 1 battle using that Jutsu.

Calming down, Naruto stops vibrating seeing the Namikaze family head off into the distance until completely vanishing out of sight and then turns towards sasuke.
(Naruto): relax he won't be able to land a finger on me, I have gained full mastery over my speed over the course of three years and now I can use it to its full potential think of it like a fireball Jutsu, the more chakra you put into it, the bigger the fireball could get or the hotter the fireball could get just depends on what you the user wanted to do with, another factor of said fireball is the more you use the fireball jutsu the less chakra and hand signs to cast it would be required.
My speed works the same way, but way more complicated considering it's not just chakra and hand signs I have to deal with.
(Sasuke): Really?

With this revelation of a challenge between the fourth Hokage Minato Namikaze and the reverse flash Naruto Thawne, Sasuke and Hinata head their respective ways to train individually while Naruto speeds towards the Namikaze home.
Speeding onto the Namikaze home porch Naruto opens the door and walks in only to see Menma, Mito, and Nami on the couch talking.
(Menma): Well look who showed up the failure of the family, what's up loser?
You know I was considering being nice to you for once, but now you're just plain stupid, you're a moron for challenging dad in a contest of speed you will never be able to beat him, because unlike you he is actually strong.
(Nami): Menma!
What did father say about talking to big brother Naruto like that!
(Mito): Nami, as much as I hate to agree with Menma, big brother Naruto did something stupid today.
I mean yes he is one of the fastest shinobi in this village, but he barely knows how to use that speed in combat, how do you think he will outclass the Fourth Hokage, the person known for killing one thousand Stone shinobi in one battle, I don't wish to speak bad about Big brother, only wishing to state the obvious facts.
(Naruto): Well even though I don't consider any of you my family, I do thank you Nami, and somewhat Mito because at least you haven't been a total asshole to me all my life like Menma, oh I can't wait for what I have planned for you in the future Hokage's boy.

After this exchange of words Naruto speeds up to his room, sealing all his valuables and clothes in storage scrolls getting them ready for tomorrow.
(Menma): Pfft as if he could do anything to me his "plans" are just embarrassments waiting to happen

(Mito): He is family like you said, also mother and father said we should be closer since we are siblings, but apparently Big brother Naruto doesn't consider us family.
Hearing the door open they turn towards it to see Kushina and Minato walk in carrying takeout from Ichiraku ramen.
(Kushina): We're home!
(Minato): We bought ramen from Ichraku to celebrate your graduation!
(All three of them): Ichiraku Ramen!?
(Menma): Alright I love this stuff it's the food of the gods!
(Mito): While I usually like to have table manners, when it comes to Ichiraku Ramen there's nothing that gives me the drive to eat it like how Ichiraku does
(Nami): What about big brother Naruto?
Shouldn't he be celebrating with us?
(Kushina): Yeah, call him Minato.
Maybe this could be the first step towards fixing our relationship with him!
(Naruto): No, need.
As they hear Naruto say this they turn towards where they heard him and see him coming down the stairs heading towards the door
(Kushina): Come have dinner with us Naruto, it's Ichiraku ramen!
(Nami): Yeah big brother come sit with us!
(Naruto): I have dinner plans with my Sensei anyway, so as much as I would love to have some ramen right now, Sensei is waiting for me and I would rather not speak with my opponent, so if you excuse me I will be heading out now.
Speeding out of the house before anyone could protest, Naruto heads towards Eobard's home in excitement at the thought of moving in with Eobard tomorrow.
POV: Nami Namikaze
(Menma): Glad he left, he's not worth our time, he challenged dad to a competition of speed, what an idiot.
(Minato): Menma!
What did I tell you about talking about your brother like that!
He is your family and you should treat him as family!
(Menma): Oh yeah!
If he is family why does he reject us!
(Nami): He does not reject us Menma, big brother is just confused and hurt!
(Mito): Sigh, Nami once again I can only agree with Menma, because he is right even though I dislike his treatment of others, he has a point.
Big brother Naruto rejects his own name, he even renamed himself.
(Kushina): Which is why your father will win tomorrow's race and bring him back to us!
(Nami): I hope so…..
With that the Namikaze family eats their ramen in Silence.
POV: Naruto Thawne
Arriving at Eobard's home Naruto walks inside to see Eobard working on speed calculations.
(Eobard): Hello there Naruto, what brings you by?
I thought you were going out with your friends this evening.
(Naruto): Well that was what I had in mind, but after I left the academy my friends were waiting until Nami Namikaze tackled me.
Timeskip - ten minutes later
(Eobard): I see, so our plan is finally in motion.
(Naruto): Indeed it has Sensei now the only thing left is to execute the plan.
Well that and find somewhere to get some dinner.
(Eobard): Ah luckily I found a big belly burger here in this world, somehow, I guess it's true no matter where you go in the multiverse there will always be a big belly burger.
(Naruto): Big belly burger?
What the hell is that?
(Eobard): A place with the best burgers anyone could ask for!
With that Sensei and disciple end up going to a big belly burger in the leaf red light district.
Timeskip - one day later
At the academy stand the two racers Naruto Thawne the Reverse Flash and Minato Namikaze the Yellow Flash, standing by them are bystanders ready to wat
(Sasuke): Are you sure you're ready for this Thawne?
I mean it is the fourth Hokage, the yellow flash.
(Naruto): Ready to win is what I am.
(Hinata): Good luck Naruto kun!
(Naruto): Thanks but I don't need it to beat a fake speedster.
(Minato): I wouldn't get too cocky, Naruto all I need to do is hit you once and it's game over.
(Menma): Please I bet he doesn't even get 1 foot without you catching him.
(Mito): Well we're about to find out aren't we Menma.
(Kushina): Are the racers ready?
(Minato): Ready as I'll ever be Kushina!
(Naruto): Ready….
(Kushina): Nami will be at the Hokage tower to determine who the winner is, if Naruto makes it to the Hokage tower safely he will be declared winner and the fastest man alive, if Minato gets to the Hokage tower Naruto in hand, he will be declared the winner as well as keeping the title of the fastest.
With that being said
Ready!
Set!
Go!
Naruto holds his right arm out doing so the reverse flash suit comes out of his ring in a running position, quickly running forward phasing into the suit putting it on as Naruto takes off in a straight line towards the Hokage tower at full speed.
(Sasuke): Oh damn, Thawne is faster than I thought he was.
(Hinata): Is it wrong to be glad he was holding out on us, otherwise I think we may have been purple and blue.
(Minato): He did what now!?
(Menma): Dad what the hell are you doing go catch him!
(Minato): Oh right, sorry just admiring the sheer speed!
With this exchange of words Minato uses his senses to find where Naruto is running and uses the flying raijin to teleport to the nearest seal on top of a building.
(Minato): Alright son, where did you go?
(Naruto): Past you, Fourth Hokage!
(Naruto): Cya!
Seeing Naruto jump off the building Minato runs after him cornering Naruto with a dead end only to widen his eyes as Naruto walks through the wall as if he was a ghost.
(Minato) Woah, what the hell, how did he do that!?
It's like he was like him….
Teleporting to the nearest Flying Raijin seal Minato starts running towards the Hokage tower seeing Naruto's Red lightning.
Getting closer and closer with each teleportation Minato gets right behind Naruto only to be surprised when Naruto starts splitting into two until there are two Naruto's running side by side.
(Naruto): Try and catch me now Fourth!
(Minato): You aren't the only one that can do that!
Creating a shadow clone and splitting up they both chase after the two Naruto's getting halfway to the Hokage mansion.
POV: Minato's thoughts
(Minato): How the hell did he last this long?
I thought this would be easy, he's just a Genin!
Somehow he has learned how to use his speed properly way better than any of the children can. I must find out his full capabilities.
Deciding to go all out, Minato goes full speed from here.
POV: Naruto's thoughts
(Naruto): Gideon, what should be my next course of action, what would be the best move.
(Gideon): Well I believe the next course of action is to Ride the Lightning.
It's the only way to both avoid the yellow flash and get to the Hokage mansion much faster.
(Naruto): Gideon, that's a Genius Idea!
Why didn't I think of that?
(Gideon): Your fear vitals are making you tense up, you are scared that you might actually lose.
(Naruto): Yeah I know there's always that slim chance he does beat me out of luck, it sucks that luck is always an unknown factor that can't be calculated.
With that Naruto has a clear goal in mind.
POV: Nami Namikaze
Ya know for a bunch of fast people they certainly are slow.
Looking into the distance Nami sees a flash of red and yellow moving on a building
(Minato): I will catch you Naruto, you can't survive a fall like that so just give up now!
(Naruto): Oh yeah?
Watch me Fourth!
Jumping off the tall building Minato tries to grab Naruto only to miss.
(Minato): Naruto!
Falling at a fast rate Naruto throws a lightning bolt in the air, making Minato widen his eyes, he widens them even more when seeing Naruto step on the Bolt of lightning and continuing to do this.
(Nami): Is he walking on lightning!?
THAT'S SO COOL!
Reaching the Hokage tower Naruto touches the nearest wall being declared the winner.
With a teary Eyed face nami looks at Minato.
(Nami): The winner and the Fastest man Alive is Naruto Thawne…..
