"I am Groot." the kits heard a voice saying.
"Yeah they grew up a lil, but not too much, kits don't grow like Groots." Rocket replied.
It was late-night in the house and Groot had decided to visit which made Rocket happy, despite Groot's hug nearly making his back hurt which had sirprised the treelike male that surprised him, as Rocket explained hearing the pitter-patter of the kits making him amused they were up.
"Sorry daddy but we were curious hearing uncle Groot here." Flower said seeing RJ quiet, he was shy despite Groot being their uncle as they didn't see him often compared to Nebula and Drax which Rocket understood reassuring RJ that uncle Groot was safe while makijg hot cocoa with Groot growing cocoa beans on him impressing the kits but Honey and TJ were up too surprised seeing Groot but TJ was nervous.
"I am Groot." Grootvasked Rocket pointing to both younger ones.
"It's okay, uncle Groot's friendly, he came for a visit." Flower said.
"That's Honey our littlest sis who's an ottercoon and TJ is Teefs and Floor's daughter but she's also our sis but she and Honey are inseprable." Quill told him.
"I guess they got curious too but mommy might be freaked out, if she finds out you guys were up late." Rocket told them leading the kits back to their rooms tucking them back into bed yawning heading to where Groot was in the living-room talking until the morning came and Lylla, Floorcand Teefs noticed the kits were sleepy along with Rocket making Lylla wonder why they were so tired, realising Groot was here.
"You stayed up, to hang out with Groot, right." she said to Rocket seeing him nod seeing Teefs staring at Groot in awe and worry seeing Floor climbing him seeing TJ giggle at her mom being a goofball making Lylla grin coaxing Floor to come down.
"Sorry aboht this, Floor was curious about Rocket's tree friend." Floor said.
"It's okay Floor, as Groot was curious about you guys." Rocket told her seeing the kits getting reasy for school, relieving Lylla seeing Rocket zoning out a little guessing he needed an nap plus Rocket wanted to fix the toaster getting a great idea to use a blowtorch to make a but of toast, using a blowtorch making Groot worried along with Lylla knowing chaos would ensue
"Let's make some toast." Rocket declared activatibg the blowtorch toasting the bread impressing Floor and Teefs but making Lylla's paws tremble which Groot noticed.
"I am Groot." he tried saying to Rocket who was excitedky toasihg bagels.
"Rocket, I think your tree buddy is trying to tell you something-" Teefs said as the dood was on fire making Lylla freak out into the fetal position under the table while Rocket put the fire out wondering where Lylla was, hearing Floor think she was playihg hide and seek only Teefs heard whimpering from under the table as they fouhd her makijg Rocket confused, that she was freaked out over him cookijg using a blowtorch
"You could have burnt the house down or us, thank Groot it was just the door." she said still trembling feeling Rocket wrap hiscarms around her in a hug saying he was sorry and not use the blowtorch to cook knowing just the stiry to tell the kits when they came home and asked about the doir.
"Woah, Fing Fang Foom burnt the door, I bet you kicked his tail like Thanos or the bad guy that was mean tomus." RJ said excitedky seeing his sibs in agreement after coming home and noticing the door so Rocket had told them a dragon had attacked the house impressing Lylla they believed his story but was taking an nap while the kits were having their snack, telling their dad about their day but more impressed about what happened when they'd been at school
"Is mommy okay, after what happened daddy." Quill told their dad.
"Sort of, but we should let her rest, like you guys because we stayed up." Rocket told them seeing them heading to their room
