(Y/N) loves Optimus and thought he loved her considering all the time they spent together. Until he announced, he's dating June's friend. This crushes (Y/N) and Smokescreen who likes (Y/N).

(Y/N)'s P.O.V.
It's been an exciting — and busy — year since Jack, Miko, Raf, and I met the Autobots. For the last three months, I've found myself falling in love with Optimus. I starting to find ways for us to spend more time together, and this quickly became routine. I thought this meant Optimis likes me, and maybe I should tell him how I feel until...

"Everyone, I have an announcement," Prime says.
He wouldn't publicly say he loves me, would he? But then why is June's friend (F/N) on his shoulder?
"I am going on a date with (F/N) tonight. Ratchet is in charge."
As the others complain, I stare at Prime as he transforms, and she gets in. She just moved here like a month ago; how could he fall for her?

Two weeks ago

(F/N)'s P.O.V.
I didn't think my friend, June, would introduce me to alien robots. I still don't know why, unless she was hoping I'd spend time at the base, yet she doesn't spend time there herself. As I drive down the street to my home, I see a red Aston Martin DBS V12 behind me; thinking nothing of it until
they try to ram me off the road.
"Go around then!" I yell as if the driver can hear me.
I swear I see the car transform.
Shit, a Decepticon, I'm dead.

Optimus Prime's P.O.V.
Driving down the road, I see Knockout in his bipedal mode and a car in front of him. Great, civilians. I alert Fowler before driving towards Knockout, hoping to ram him down. As I drive by the car, I realize it's June's friend. At least Fowler won't have to do damage control, and I can fight Knockout.

After the fight, and Knockout finishes bitching about his finish, he drives away.
"Are you ok (F/N)?" I ask as she climbs into my servo.
She tells me she's ok. I stare into her eyes, feeling an unusual feeling in my spark.

Present-day

(Y/N)'s P.O.V.
I guess I shouldn't be surprised. I'm not even eighteen, while she's well past eighteen.

I sit on my bed and cry; Unaware June walked in.
"What's wrong, (Y/N)?" She asks.
"Oh, I don't know," I sarcastically reply, "the mech I love just said he's dating your friend. Guess I should have known since I'm under eighteen. Go ahead, tell me he's too old for me!"
She sits on the bed and sighs, "I'm sorry, I pushed (F/N) to ask Prime out after he saved her from Knockout and she kept talking about how she likes Prime," she explains, "I know you're not happy, but we should be happy Prime is you'll find someone someday."

Smokescreen's P.O.V.
I'm glad I'm done with my patrol; I want to drive around with (Y/N). Ratchet wouldn't let me wait for (Y/N) to return from school to go on patrol. She should have been back by now, but only Jack, Miko, and Raf are watching T.V. Though (Y/N) also makes sure her homework is done. She must be in her room.

I didn't think (Y/N) would be crying, or June would be in the room. It's odd for (Y/N) to refuse a drive with me. She'd ask me to take her for a drive when she's sad. June explains the situation before leaving the room. Now's not the time to tell (Y/N) I like her. I leave the room but sit by the door. I worry she's going to refuse to eat.

Prime dropped his routine with (Y/N) like it was a temporary arrangement. I want to yell at him, but I can't since he's my superior. I'm bringing her to school, bringing her back to the base and home Ike Prime did. I'm also making sure she's safe and taking care of herself. I hear her crying at night until she's asleep. Is it really disrespect showing my leader he broke a heart?

It's been a challenging week, but Friday afternoon made things a lot worse. Not only is Prime going on a date with June's friend, but it's a double date with Fowler and June. I watch the four of them walk away, letting (Y/N) get away from me.

I find her on the edge of the mountain, crying.
Oh, frag!
"(Y/N), this isn't right!" I yell.
"Why not?! The one I love is dating someone else, and even after what I told June, she's letting this continue."
I pull her away from the edge of the mountain and into a hug. She hugs me and cries until there are no more tears.
"Look, I know I'm an inexperienced hothead of an Autobot, but...I like you. I know you're hurt and don't want to say we're dating, but how about one date? You don't even have to call it a date; it's fine if it's just friends hanging out."
(Y/N( laughs, "Yeah, let's go on a date."
I just realized the sun is setting as we hug; it's a beautiful moment.
