(Y/N)'s P.O.V.
It's been six months since that disaster of a day. I've been busy with school, the cons have been keeping the Autobots busy, and I've had a few dates with Smokescreen. It's been a little stressful — especially the past month with finals — but I've been able to avoid Optimus. The cons kept the Autobots from attending graduation — which was a bummer — but she still attended. I can't believe six and a half months ago, I thought about doing college online to be with the Autobots more. Now, I think I'm going to university on campus. I missed the deadline this year. Smokescreen has been trying to convince me to continue with my online plan, but I'll stay home rather than live at the base. I have fallen for him, but I haven't told him. I don't think we can say we're dating since we've only been on three dates in six months. The rest of the time, he's been hanging out at my house as friends do or fighting cons.
Smokescreen asked me to wait for him at the base tonight. Optimus isn't around, and Ratchet works on something at the computer.
Jack, Miko, and Raf are busy today. Smokescreen will be busy for a few hours, and I can't stay here. I'll return a little bit before he gets back.

Optimus Prime's P.O.V.
I didn't think anything of not seeing (Y/N) as much as I usually do the past six months. She is older than the other three kids and graduating high school. She understood we couldn't be there that day. (Y/N) has her avoiding coming to the base and avoiding me when she's here. I watch (Y/N) ask Ratchet to open a ground bridge to somewhere quiet.

I wait a few minutes before telling Ratchet to open another bridge to the same coordinates.
"I would say leave (Y/N) alone, but we both know what's troubling her, and you need to talk to her," he says as he opens the ground bridge.

(Y/N) sits under a tree by a stream. It's a nice place to sketch, but I know she's not here for an art subject.
"Why did you choose to come here?" I ask as I sit next to her, but she says nothing, "I am sorry for hitting you. I don't know how Earth humans show each other they love another."
"YOU DON'T, HUH? BUT YOU SEEM TO HAVE KNOWN JUNE'S FRIEND LIKES YOU AND YOU LIKE HER BACK!" (Y/N) rages, "I THOUGHT YOU LIKED ME. YOU MADE ME LOOK LIKE A FOOL!"
"I thought you were dating Smokescreen?"
(Y/N) laughs, "I doubt he likes me; he's just taking pity on me. I will never tell him I like him. I will not make myself look like a fool again!"
This hurts; I caused her to refuses to love anyone else.
"Smokescreen loves you; he's not pleased how much he's had to be away from you with the cons attacking and while you've been busy with your studies," I tell her, "he talks about plans to take you on a trip when the Deception activity ceases, and he knows you'll be safe,"
There's no response from (Y/N), "Smokescreen was a member of the Elite guard and a fierce fighter. I'm sorry I broke your spark, but you need to give Smokescreen a chance."
I leave her alone for a while before I realize what time it is, "we should head back."

(Y/N) and I return to the base as Smokescreen drives to the main area and activates his holoform.
"(Y/N)!" He chirps and hugs her, "I've missed you so much. I hope the cons chill for a while, and I can take you on a surprise vacation."
He picks her up bridal style and carries her to his room.
"You're not going to set ground rules?" Ratchet asks once the door is closed.
"I don't think they're doing that yet, Ratchet."
"Yet..."
