Ratchet tells (Y/D) to go find the others while he holds off Cemetery Wind. Five years pass; everyone accepts Ratchet is gone. They reunite with Optimus, and Cade shows footage that confirms Ratchet is dead. Yet (Y/D) has an odd feeling in her spark after raiding KSI. She's not sure if her spark is telling her Ratchet is alive, or it's what she wants to think. Until she encounters a KSI drone in China...

They cornered us; get out of here, (Y/D)! Go find the others!
That's the last time I saw my sparkmate, Ratchet — and most of the others — five years ago. I reunited with Bumblebee, Crosshairs, Drift, and Hound, which was great for the first day, but once night fell and we went into recharge, I felt like a burden. Keeping them up to support me after I dreamt Ratchet was killed. The nightmares eventually stopped, but I still miss Ratchet.
We've been hiding in the desert of Utah; while near monuments that are tourist attractions, we've been able to hide when tours are happening. It's been a month since we heard Optimus' warning, and by the sound of his message, he was under attack. I worried I'd have nightmares about his death. The others don't know I stay awake for days and recharge enough for them not to be concerned.
I sit on the cliff as Drift looks around. The sun is setting; it's beautiful up here.
Calling all Autobots... calling all Autobots...
"You hear that?" I ask, excited before running down the cliff.
"At last, there's hope after all," Drift says before going down the cliff and transforming into his helicopter alt mode. I playfully race with him to where it seems Prime will stop.
After our brief celebration, Crosshairs becomes angry humans are with Prime. After Prime explains why they shouldn't be killed, we find a place to set up a campsite for the night.
I dread we have to tell Prime we're possibly the only ones left. The human, Cade, tells us he has a drone with footage of Leadfoot and Ratchet's deaths.

Optimus Prime's P.O.V.
We watch (Y/N) pass out; Drift rushing to catch her, and Cade is confused.
"You didn't know Ratchet is her sparkmate," I explain.
"All you did was confirm our fear," Crosshairs adds.
I wait for (Y/D) to wake up to tell everyone I'm going to find out who did this, and I will kill them. I worry about (Y/D)'s mental state for this mission, but she argues she's coming on this mission.
(Y/D)'s P.O.V.
It hurts I got confirmation he's gone, but I'm not staying behind while the others find out who's behind these attacks. Bumblebee and I raid the building to rescue Cade, but I let him take Cade to safety so that I can join Prime and the others.
Like Hound, I want to vaporize the jackass who's been approving the killing of Autobots. We end up in a car chase with two KSI drones, but we get separated from Optimus.
One rescue and stolen ship later
"You humans, after all we've done; you don't know what you've brought upon yourselves," Prime informs Cade angrily.
"What is it now? I'm doing stuff out of my league here!" Cade replies.
"Within that man-made prototype, I sensed the presence of Megatron."
"The Deception that started the Chicago war?" Cade asks.
Brains explains his findings, and the group decides to stay in the train yard for the night.
I'm afraid to sleep; luckily, last night, I was so tired and couldn't fight sleep. Since raiding the KSI building, I've felt this strange feeling in my spark, like Ratchet was nearby — or am I just imagining what I want to believe? That Ratchet survived the attack though we watched footage of him being killed last night?
"You need to recharge," I hear Prime say before he sits next to me.
"No, the nightmare will come back n-now that I...," I can't finish before crying.
"She had nightmares the first month since reuniting with us," Hound explains.
Prime instructs the others to go recharge as he hugs me.
I don't know how I managed to slip into recharge and sleep all night. Cade calls the jackass to warn him he will be responsible for the annihilation of the human race. We knew this would give away our location.
"So much for warning him he's about to kill millions," I sigh.
"Move!" Prime orders, "we're retrieving the seed, but then we're done protecting the humans."
"Done?! What do you mean done?" Cade asks.
"Means finished, see ya, goodbye," Crosshairs coldly explains.
Even if humans killed Ratchet and many others, I don't agree with this. We have three humans helping us. It's clear, not all humans are bad.
As we get closer to China, this feeling in my spark grows. I don't know if it's sparkbreak and knowing we're going to China to face the jackass Who killed my sparkmate again or something else.
"Are you ok, (Y/D)?" Cade asks.
"I don't know; since we raided the KSI building, I've been feeling something in my spark. I don't know if It's just me wanting to think Ratchet is alive, but we saw the footage."
"Maybe it's a sign; you have to have faith he's alive, (Y/D)."
Even though we watched the footage, Cade could be right. Should I feel better KSI kept Ratchet alive and rebuilt him?
Bumblebee, Hound, and I help keep the humans from falling off the ship as we try to get the jackass — I mean Joshua.
"Joshua!" Cade yells.
Joshua grabs the bag that has the seed and tries to get closer to the ship.
"Looks like we're about to have company," Hound points out seconds before a KSI drone fires at the ship, causing us to fall off the ship.
Shit, the others.
I stay with the humans, making sure they get away safely — until Savoy starts shooting and Cade decides he's going to fight the aft. I join Bumblebee and Hound in the fight with the drones.
Eventually, the fight ends up on the streets. I provide cover for Bee and Hound, who provide cover for the humans in their alt mode. A KSI drone starts shooting at me, and the off feeling in my spark grows. Like Prime feeling the presence of Megatron in the drone earlier, I feel like I'm staring at Ratchet. I let the drone get closer to me, and I see it in his optics.
"Ratchet?"
The drone keeps fighting me.
Of course, his memory core must be damaged, or worse.
"Hey - (Y/D)!" Bee says using audio clips while riding a fragging Dinobot. He gets off, restrains the drone, and opens the spark chamber. He probably thinks I'm going to kill it, but I swear this is Ratchet.
"Look, Bee, this drone has a spark chamber and a spark inside. I-I swear it's Ratchet, but he forgot."
I open my spark chamber, and our sparks make contact. The drone stops fighting and their optics offline.
"Frag! If that's Ratchet, I-I..."
Bee gets up and hugs me.
"I know it's hard, but we're in the middle of—," Bee starts, but the drone's optics online and are blue.
Ratchet's P.O.V.
My vision is blurry for a few seconds, but I don't believe what I see when my vision is finally clear.
"(Y-Y/D)?" I nervously ask.
She runs to me, hugs me, and cries, "I thought I lost you forever."
This is my sparkmate. I remember now. I guess I should be thankful my spark was chosen for one of the drones.
"I hate to ruin the moment, but isn't there a battle going in?" I ask.
She smiles, and the three of us get back into battle.
Time skip.
It's sad Optimus has to leave Earth to keep us safe. So cruel as I reunite with my sparkmate, I watch my friend and leader leave.
Once we're back to the U.S., at a home Joyce bought the Yeagers; (Y/D), and I find a place to be alone for a while. For now, all we want to is sit close to each other, away from the others.
A/N: I watched this movie A LOT, to the point I memorize all these lines. By the end, I was thinking that's enough movie lines.
