Smokescreen worries he'll watch his wife die as he watches her struggle to deliver their child.

It's been a half-hour, something must be wrong. Smokescreen worries
Even as he hears Ratchet say the head is finally coming, Smokescreen worries something can go wrong. Even as he hears the baby cry, Smokescreen can't relax.

Smokescreen finally relaxes once (Y/N) is resting with their baby in her arms. Smokescreen hugs her with tears rolling down his face. For now, the baby will stay in the medbay with (Y/N). Smokescreen goes to his berthroom. Everyone knows he's waiting until the baby and (Y/N) can leave the medbay to tell them if they his boy or girl and the name they choose.

"Are you nervous about being a sire?" Bulkhead asks.
"No."
"You look terrified though."
"I-I was told it was very likely that (Y/N) would die while having the baby."
"What?!" Ratchet asks, shocked, "who told you this? Like with cybertronian femmes, it's possible but you shouldn't have been scared. The pregnancy was normal and (Y/N) was in good health."
Ratchet decides not to add that things that can unfortunately happen to avoid scaring Smokescreen into thinking he and (Y/N) shouldn't have any more kids.

Everyone struggles to wait until (Y/N) is able to leave the medbay three days later to meet the baby.
"This is our (son/daughter). (His/her) name is (name)," (Y/N) announces.
The others quickly argue who gets to hold the baby first. Smokescreen and (Y/N) smile, watching the others argue. Smokescreen takes the baby, tears rolling down his face as (Y/N) hugs him. He still can't believe he has a family to love.
