Welcome back to The Injustice Wars. Last time, we finally learned the identity of the energy signatures at the old Shaolin temple: being Raiden and Sub-Zero from Mortal Kombat, as the two of them joined the Republic, alongside Lobo, who's taking a bounty out on Captain Avarice. So, what is going to happen next? Read on to discover...

(Our story resumes in Legion HQ, where there's a video conference going on between Blaze, Flash, Vandal Savage, Belial Aether, and Lobo, who appears to be having trouble with his camera)

Lobo: How does this fraggin' thing work?!

Belial Aether: Lobo, just turn the camera around.

Blaze: Actually, these technical troubles might be advantageous. We're still waiting for Supergirl to show up.

Vandal Savage: You trust the young Kryptonian implicitly, I see.

Blaze: I wouldn't have made her my co-second-in-command if I didn't, Vandal Savage.

Flash: I'm sure she'll be here any moment now.

Blaze: Where is Supergirl anyways?

Flash: Let me check. (Checks a scanner) Here we go. If I've got her energy signature correct, she's over Metropolis right now. Probably doing reconnaissance on Brainiac.

Belial Aether: No offense to the young lady, we're going to have to go on without her.

Lobo: (Turns over the camera and finally shows his face) Got it! Finally got this thing to work!

Blaze: As much as I dislike it, we have no choice. We're in Central City, so she's halfway across the country. But at the speed she flies, chances are she'll only be a few minutes late.

Vandal Savage: Then the meeting is called to order.

Blaze: Alright then. Lobo, what do you know about this pirate?

Lobo: Her name's Avarice. She's from the Vega system.

Flash: That explains why she looks like Larfleeze.

Lobo: Got that right, Speedy Gonzalez. Same species and everything.

Blaze: Wait, does this mean she's an Orange Lantern?

Lobo: Thankfully, no. She tried to get one of their rings once, but Larfleeze wouldn't part with it. That's how she got some of her scars.

Belial Aether: Must've missed them when we saw her.

Lobo: That's what the pirate getup is for, to cover them up. Aside from that, she raids planets of their riches. Some say she's just greedy, others say she's trying to amount a treasure to tempt Larfleeze away from his Orange ring so she can claim it for herself. Nobody knows for sure. But if my research serves me correctly, she's on Earth on a bounty of her own.

Belial Aether: Then who's she after?

Lobo: Somebody named Koriand'r.

Blaze: She's after Starfire?!

Lobo: If you say so.

Blaze: So, that's all?

Lobo: Other than a lot of people want her dead, and one of them put a bounty out on her, yeah. Pretty much.

Flash: That might just be enough to make a strategy to beat her.

Blaze: In that case, I'd say the best option is to get in contact with Larfleeze. If she's trying to tempt him to part with his power, he might make the ultimate bait.

Flash: I'm not too sure Larfleeze will go for that. Besides, nobody's seen him since the Green Lanterns were almost destroyed.

Blaze: We can send Hal and John to look for him. That may be our best method.

Vandal Savage: But in case the Orange Lantern cannot be convinced, we need a backup plan.

Belial Aether: First thing we would need to do is take out her ship.

Flash: We may be able to modify the Javelin 7 for space combat.

Lobo: You're going to need some serious firepower to pierce her hull. Not sure your puny ship could hold it. I've heard stories that not even a Lantern construct can do it.

Blaze: Then it sounds like our first step is to separate fact from myth. Since the vibe I'm getting is she relies on these legends to intimidate.

Flash: Sounds like a mission for Hal and John.

Lobo: I've got a dossier on her if that'll help them get started.

Blaze: Any little bit helps.

(But before anyone can speak another line of dialogue, a wind can be felt coming in from the back of the room, and as Blaze and Flash turn around, they see Supergirl has arrived)

Supergirl: Sorry I'm late.

Flash: No worries.

Blaze: Did you manage to get any intel?

Supergirl: Just picked up something from Black Lightning, looks like Atlantis may be moving on the East Coast.

Flash: Wait, what about Brainiac?

Supergirl: I have no idea, as far as I know, he's still hovering over Metropolis, scheming.

Blaze: Wait, weren't you just there?

Supergirl: No, I was in DC getting intel from Black Lightning. Why?

Flash: That's impossible! We just picked up your energy signature in Metropolis!

Supergirl: How's that possible?!

Blaze: Hold on. Let me check something.

(With that, Blaze pulls up the program that Flash was looking at before the meeting, zooms out to show the entire East Coast of the US, then winds the signatures back to a few moments ago, and sure enough, there's two signatures that match Supergirl. The one they saw over Metropolis, and another over DC, where she said she was.)

Flash: That's impossible!

Supergirl: There's... two of me?

Blaze: Looks like we've got a mystery on our hands.

(And on the image of the twin energy signatures, our tale ends for today)

And that looks like a good place to wrap up for now. So, there's a mystery going on now, twin energy signatures for Supergirl? How's that work? Some people may realize what we're up to. But if you do, don't spoil it for the rest of the readers. Now it looks like we're going back to Metropolis to solve this case. Brainiac's certainly going to be interested in that. So how's all of this going to go down? Tune in next time to find out! Same time... same channel!
