(Y/N) returns from her vacation, not liking Mirage left or the reason why. She finds him and tells him something.

(Y/N)'s P.O.V.
I planned on a three-week vacation before the shit in Chicago, but while trying to enjoy my time in ( location), I felt like some of the Autobots thought I left rather than on vacation. I told them— before the battle.

I return to my home, with no repairs Mirage promised to do.
Shit, did the government ban Autobots from leaving N.E.S.T.?

I was allowed into the base and immediately saw Ironhide and Prime's holoforms.
Come on, (Y/N), you were with them during the battle; Mirage wasn't injured to the point he'd die. Even if he was injured, you would have canceled your vacation.

I ask Optimus where Mirage is.
"...I told him I'm coming home today."
The look I got was as if Mirage did die. What happened while I was away?

Ironhide, Lennox, Ratchet, and Prime take me to the conference room.
"There's been a lot going on, and it got to Mirage," Ironhide explains.
So, he...shit...
"The atmosphere here has been tense here," Ironhide tells her, "there have been soldiers thinking we're the problem, we caused the battle—,"
"But you didn't! The Decepticons did, and you guys fought them to keep MILLIONS EVEN BILLIONS of humans from dying!" I rage.
"That's the problem; humans died; we didn't protect everyone," Lennox adds.
"That's how every war on Earth goes! Why would aliens fighting be any different!?"
No one answers, "where's Mirage?"
Optimus sighs, "as I said, the atmosphere got to him, and he went solo... three weeks ago."
A few days after I left, shit.
"I can give you his coordinates," Ratchet says, *he is letting us track him, but we're giving him his space."
"Maybe you can help him," Optimus says as Ratchet, and I walk out of the room.

Mirage has been traveling for the past three days. I don't know if he remembers where I said I was going for my vacation or just traveling. It's eight at night when I get to his location. I climb on his shoulder and see he's in recharge. I'm not staying up all night.

Six hours later

Mirage's P.O.V.
I wake up and see (Y/N) on me. Am I at the point of hallucinating we're together? She hates me like every other human on this planet.
She wakes up and repositions herself: sitting on my chassis. Rather than fear, I smell; it's sadness.
"How do you think I see you after the battle, Mirage?" She asks, "I love you for the bot you are."
"You...you love me? No, I must be hallucinating; humans hate us!"
"Can a hallucination do this?"
(Y/N) climbs on my helm and kisses me.
I grab her and place her on my chassis before shrinking down to human size. She kisses me right on the intake; I kiss her back. I enjoy this makeout session, adding my glossia. This is nice and lasts s few minutes, but I'm so tired. (Y/N) ends the kiss and rests on my chassis. I keep a servo on her to keep her warm as we fall asleep.

We are up at nine in the morning. (Y/N) insists we go back to D.C.
"Let's stop at the base for a bit, and then if you want, you can live at my house," she tells me.
I agree, and we begin our trip back.

(Y/N) goes to talk to Ratchet while I find Prime. I find he's in the shooting range room with Ironhide.

"Do you feel better?" Prime asks.
"Yeah."
"You told her, didn't you?" He smiles.
"Yeah, it's the best feeling ever."
"Good, get some rest; you have s mission in three hours."
That was quick.

As I go to find (Y/N), I feel the tension is gone. If I haven't been here for five years already, I'd think I'm the problem.

"Do you feel better?" She asks.
"Yes, but you know you're the reason I can come back and do my job. Tu es mon bouclier. I'm going to do a little target practice with Ironhide before I leave for a mission."
I kiss her before walking away.
