This is Part III of the New Year's Special. Last time, Power Girl made her appearance in the story proper, and now Brainiac is after her, because she apparently killed his variant in her universe. But, we're not delving back into that right now. Today, to end the year, we're doing something I've wanted to do for months. So what am I up to? Read on to discover...

(Our story opens up on the same night as Sulfur's bachelor party, but instead of that group, we focus in on another one: Dracia, accompanied by Frellyni and Chrys, enjoying a few drinks. We've stumbled into her bachelorette party)

Chrys: (Raising her glass) A toast, to Dracia, our oldest friend, our leader, and the bride to be!

Frellyni: Here, here!

(With a clink of three glasses, the party really kicks off.)

Frellyni: I still can't believe you're about to tie the knot. And with Sulfur of all people!

Chrys: If I'm being honest, he's always going to be the awkward kid in my eyes. Though he did get a glow-up as he got older.

Dracia: Hey, I'm still having trouble believing it myself. Especially with taking over the NIL in a few days.

Frellyni: Hey, this isn't the time to think about that. This is about enjoying your last night as a free woman. (Gets elbowed by Chrys) Well, you get my point. Let's leave the responsibilities you're about to inherit until later.

Dracia: I'll drink to that. (Looks at Chrys, who appears distraught) You okay, Chrys?

Chrys: (Realizing she's been noticed) I'm fine. Just trying to remember something.

Dracia: Remember what?

Chrys: Ah, I just remembered it. Boa asked me to send his regards, since he knew I'd be here while he was out partying with Sulfur.

Dracia: Aw, thanks Chrys.

Chrys: Actually, now that I think about it... there's something else I wanted to tell you...

Dracia: Well, speak up.

Chrys: It's just that, I...

(At this point, the door bursts open, revealing a familiar nautilus horned blue dragon, who is clearly more drunk than he was last time we saw him, or at least trying to act like he's drunk.)

Frellyni: (Recognizing the intruder in a minute) HEY! GET OUT OF HERE! THIS IS A PRIVATE PARTY!

Godwin: (Slurring his speech) I've come to claim my bride!

Dracia: Godwin, I've already told you a thousand times that I'm not interested in you! I'm already engaged to Sulfur!

Godwin: (Slurring) That's exactly why I'm here. You clearly don't have the capacity to make this decision. So I'm going to make it for you!

(And with that, Godwin tries to grab Dracia by the wrist and pull her out of the restaurant. Frellyni tries to intervene, but is slapped away before she gets the chance)

Godwin: Come on, gorgeous. Let me show you why they call me the Ocean Prince of Love.

(As Dracia continues to resist being kidnapped by Godwin, we see Chrys just standing in the background, seething with rage, remembering all the awful things Godwin has done to Dracia over the years. And at this point, she finally snaps. Chrys rushes Godwin, tackles him to the ground and starts punching him in the face repeatedly)

Chrys: GET THE HELL AWAY FROM HER, YOU DAMN DIRTY APE-FACED ASSHOLE! WHAT WILL IT TAKE FOR YOU TO REALIZE DRACIA HAD NO INTEREST IN BEING YOUR LITTLE SLAVE OF A TROPHY WIFE!? YOUR MADNESS ENDS HERE! I WILL NOT LET YOU HURT THE ONLY PERSON I'VE EVER LOVED! (Continues to punch Godwin's face) DIE, DIE, DIE!

(Chrys continues punching Godwin in the face until Frellyni gets up and pulls her off of him)

Frellyni: Chrys, that's enough! (Calms her down) I'm pretty sure he's learned his lesson.

(At this point, we see the damage Chrys has done. Two black eyes, five teeth knocked out, a broken nose, even one of his horns is cracked)

Godwin: (Getting up and feeling the damage) MY FACE! MY BEAUTIFUL FACE! (Looks back to Chrys) I'LL KILL YOU FOR THIS!

(With Godwin's anger now directed at Chrys, Dracia has had enough of him as well, and punches him in the face, knocking Godwin out cold)

Dracia: And that's for ruining my bachelorette party.

Frellyni: Where the hell did he come from?

Dracia: I have no idea. (Sniffs the air) But it certainly doesn't smell like he was drinking.

Frellyni: You can say that again, he reeks of desperation though. I'll go get someone to get him out of here before he wakes up.

(As Frellyni exits, Dracia and Chrys look at one another, still shocked that any of this happened)

Dracia: Thanks for coming to my rescue, Chrys.

Chrys: No problem, just doing what needed to be done, saying what needed to be said.

Dracia: I heard what you said while beating Godwin's face in.

Chrys: (Realizing what she said) Then I suppose the secret's out.

Dracia: Is that what you wanted to tell me before he showed up?

Chrys: (Sighs) Yes. Dracia, I've been in love with you since the first time I saw you. I was just never sure how to feel about it. (Tearing up) It just felt... strange... knowing I never had a chance with you, since our preferences didn't line up.

Dracia: (Throws a comforting wing over Chrys) Chrys, there's no need to feel strange about it. Love is love, gender regardless. Hell, Aunt Blitz and Aunt Twirl will tell you that much.

Chrys: That's the thing... I kind of never told them about how I felt. I never told anyone before now, actually.

Dracia: I'm sure you'll find someone, Chrys. It'll be hard at first, I'm sure. But one day, there'll be someone. And I'll be there for you, all the way.

Chrys: (Drying an eye) Thanks, Dracia. You have no idea how much I needed to hear that.

Dracia: Just doing what needs to be done, saying what needs to be said.

(With a chuckle, Chrys embraces Dracia briefly, before Frellyni comes back in)

Frellyni: Good news everybody, Dad's on his way here, he'll take Godwin to the lockup. (Looks at her comrades) Did I miss something?

Chrys: We'll explain everything over some drinks. (Looking back at the unconscious Godwin, and spitting on him) Preferably somewhere else.

(With a chuckle, the three dragonesses leave the restaurant, as our tale ends for today)

This concludes Part III of the New Year's Special. For the Finale, head over to the Dissidia Final Fantasy Intros. So, that was Dracia's bachelorette party. Certainly more dramatic than what Sulfur had, I'd say! Truth be told, the circumstances were decided because I had a hard time deciding how to have Chrys tell Dracia she was attracted to her, which is something Yami said was part of the character. I figured she'd need a burst of intense emotion, so beating the tar out of someone trying to kidnap and undoubtedly rape the one person she's ever loved was the perfect emotional release in my mind. Anyways, next time, we're back to the war. So what happens then? Tune in next time to find out! Same time... same channel!
