The next day, The Black Pearl had made it to port to restock. Jack had gone out earlier that morning and still hadn't returned. The girls had decided to pull Mei and Su to the side so they could talk.
"I know this may be difficult, but we have decided to let you two go," Faye said as she folded her arms.
"You two have protected us on this entire journey and we thank you for your help and companionship throughout it all, but you need to live your lives for yourselves," Carmella added as she stood by Faye's side.
"We want you to have your own adventures, whether it be as pirates or not," Faye said.
The twins looked at each other before returning their gaze to their two companions before pulling them into a hug. "We will not forget you two," Su said.
"Or the adventures we had," Mei replied.
"Maybe, we'll see each other again someday," Faye said as she waved to the two as they started to walk away from the boat and towards the town. They nodded their heads before they went out of view from the morning fog.
As Faye and Carmella turned to go back onto the boat, they noticed the crew placing a sleeping form onto the dock. They both looked at each other in confusion before walking closer to their companions.
"What is going on here?" Faye asked, her silver hair started to flutter in the small breeze that came from the sea.
Barbossa came forward, his heavier body made a few of the dock boards creak. "We be leaving Master Gibbs and Jack here. You two will be staying with Jack for the next five years. I was told by your mother that this is what was needed."
Faye nodded slowly, "To learn how to control our powers better."
"You're taking the Pearl again aren't you," Carmella deadpanned.
"Aye lass, that I be," Barbossa said with a nod. He looked back at his crew who started to climb back onto the ship before him. A few faces were a bit sad when they looked behind them to the girls. They were going to miss them. Captain Barbossa spoke once more as his tone softened, "I hope to be seeing you again in five years time." He then placed a hand on both of their shoulders before making his way back to the boat. Before he stepped onto the gangplank, Carmella rushed forward and hugged him from the back.
"Can't wait to see you again, Dad," Carmella said through the sea-dried fabric of his coat. He just let out a small chuckle before she detached her arms and stepped back. Soon he was on the boat and it steered towards the open water.
Faye shook her head, "Now since they left, we don't have a ship…"
Carmella interrupted her and pointed to the small sailboat that was tied to the dock next to them. "They left us that one over there,"
Faye raised a brow before shaking her head. "That's not a boat, but it'll have to do. Now that we have a boat, we just need to find Uncle Jack-" She stopped as she looked up and found Jack stumbling towards them with his arms around two very curvaceous women in frilly clothes.
Carmella shook her head, "You've got to be kidding me…"
As Jack stepped closer, they heard him say, "You two ladies won't be disappointed."
"Disappointed in what, Uncle?" Faye asked as she leaned against a stack of barrels to the side. Carmella was now sitting on the pole at the end of the dock. The Pearl could be seen in the distance.
The blonde had turned, ignoring the unique girls and pointed at the small sailboat, "Is that it?" She asked a bit disgusted.
"The Black Pearl?" The redhead on his left side said with a sneer.
"No, that's not The Pearl. That's The Pearl," Faye said as she pointed to the greyish silhouette on the horizon.
"Oh, yes, there it is," Jack said as he squinted his eyes to see it. "Why is it there?" He asked in confusion. He then turned to the two ladies and said, 'It's much larger up close." Faye and Carmella rolled their eyes in annoyance at the ignorance.
"Jackie, you promise to take us on a ride," The redhead whined as Jack peeled himself away from the two and made his way to Mister Gibbs, leaving the two ladies to bicker in the background.
When he got to the slumbering man, he tipped the remaining contents of his cup onto his face. The man sputtered as he started to wake up, his teddy bear in his arms. "Mister Gibbs, any particular reason as to why my ship's gone?" Jack asked.
"The ship?" Gibbs asked in confusion, "We're on the ship." He then placed his head back down onto the dock. It was only a second later where he bolted from where he lay and started to say, "Jack! The ship is gone!" Carmella and Faye facepalmed in the distance as they overheard the conversation.
"Really?" Jack said sarcastically. The ladies in the background started to squeal as they started to pull at each other's hair. "Ladies, will you please shut it! Listen.." He turned to the blonde one and remarked, "Yes, I lied to you." He then looked over at the redhead. "No, I don't love you." He then turned back to the blonde. "Of course it makes you look fat." His eyes gazed back to the redhead, "No, I"ve never been to Brussels." Back to the blonde, "It is pronounced egregious," Back to the redhead. "By the way, no, I have never actually met Pisarro, but I love his pie." Then directed to the both of them, "And all of this pales to utter insignificance to the fact that my ship is once again gone. Savvy?" The two girls looked at each other before the blonde slapped him in the left cheek, the redhead slapped him in the right cheek and then Jack slapped Gibbs.
"Well that was rather entertaining," Carmella said to Faye as the silver haired girl watched with a grin. She nodded in agreement.
Mr. Gibbs gave Jack a look before loosening up when Jack gave a small shrug of 'what are you going to to do'. He nodded in agreement.
"Take what you can," Gibbs said to Jack with a smile.
"Give nothing back," Jack replied with a small smirk. They then bumped their fists as the girls left. Jack gave a nod to Gibbs as he looked over.
Gibbs used that as a sign to go and talk to them. "Now tell me ladies-" Faye went over and slapped him in the back of the head. "Don't you dare." Gibbs just gave a sheepish look before bidding the two farewell. He turned back to the two girls and asked about sea turtles.
As Gibbs left, Jack turned to the two girls and made his way over to them. They were now waiting on the boat for him. "Mind explaining what is going on?" He asked.
"It is part of your agreement with our mother. Since you are our Godfather, you are now responsible for us for the next five years as we hone our powers,' Faye said as she got the boat ready.
"Our powers are very unstable at the moment, being near you helps keep our powers stabilized." Carmella added.
"Since you used your nail in the potion, it connected our powers to you. Until then, you are stuck with us," Faye said the last part jokingly.
"Girls, there is no other I would want to sail with, let's get going." Jack said as they left the dock.
Back on The Black Pearl, Barbossa was feeding Jack the Monkey a peanut. Pintel, Ragetti, Marty and a few others have clambered up to speak with him. "Sir," Pintel said. "Some of the men don't feel entirely settled about leaving Captain Jack behind and the girls as well."
Ragetti leaned towards Pintel and muttered, "Again." In regards to Jack.
"Again," Pintel repeated.
"Is that so?" Barbossa said. "Well, in concern for the girls, they needed to stay with Jack. For their own safety, as much as I wanted them to stay, it was needed. With luck we will be seeing them in five years time." The small group started to smile at the info.
"Now about Captain Jack, it would make us feel a whole lot better for our fortune if we could see that item that you told us about on the map," Pintel explained.
"On the charts," Marty said as he leaned in to correct Pintel.
"Aye," Ragetti said in agreement.
"With our own eyes," Pintel said.
"It would help put an ease to our burden of guilt," Ragetti said as he fumbled with his hands. "So to speak.."
"Aye," Barbossa said. "Feast your eyes on this mateys," He said as he grabbed the charts from the side. "There is more than one way to lie forever. Gents, I give you, the Fountain of Youth." He said and the map was opened for them to see. The small group stared in confusion. Barbossa caught the glances and looked down to see a giant cut out hole in the map. He looked at it before shaking his head. "Sparrow…"
