Faye quickly grabbed Carmella as they stepped onto the windowpane. She used her wind powers to hoist them up and onto the roof. She made sure no one was looking as they landed. They watched as Jack made his way over to the nearby string of banners. He hid behind one and was holding onto the golden tassels. Not a moment too soon, a redcoat looked out the window. He scanned the area but couldn't see anyone. As he was leaving, the tassel in Jack's hand ripped and left him dangling.
"Jack!" Carmella yelled as she saw his dangling feet. The yell had caught the attention from the people below. A few screams were heard and a whistle was blown. Jack was trying to make his way to the other side when a small window opened next to the rope. Another soldier had appeared and he started to cut the rope. It took a few whacks before it broke and swung Jack into a moving carriage and onto the lap of a noble woman.
"The luck that man has," Carmella mutters as Faye brought them over on a gust of wind onto the top of the carriage.
They heard a small movement in the carriage before the woman said, "Is that it?" Faye made a face with a raised brow as Carmella started to crack up. Jack soon joined them and when he turned to look at them, he had a rather expensive earring in his mouth. He took it out before wiping it on his pants and handing it to Carmella.
"A souvenir," He grinned.
"Thanks, but was that really necessary?" Carmella laughed before putting it into her hair.
He just gave a smirk as he stood up and began to carriage hop as soldiers started to chase from behind. The girls followed afterwards. He was starting to get stuck between two carriages before going back to the original one. He slipped and fell onto the carriage that held a wooden coffin. The girls gasped before quickly jumping to follow, only to land behind him and to where the driver sat, startling him. The soldiers were starting to come closer, so Jack stood up and easily walked onto a plank of wood that was getting hauled nearby. Carmella jumped off to follow her Godfather. Faye waved to the driver before floating off and grabbing Carmella to follow. Jack looked back and grinned seeing the girls had followed. He motioned that he was going to jump onto a coal cart that was driving by.
Faye swooped down and placed Carmella down next to Jack. Faye heard gunshots and quickly jumped on as Jack made his way to the front to battle for the reins of the horses. The two decided to move to the front of the cart in order to avoid the bullets. A stray bullet ended up hitting one of the lanterns of the cart, which sparked the coal into a blaze. Seeing the problem at hand, the driver made an escape and jumped off the cart, leaving the burning wagon to the hands of Jack and the girls. The carriage hit a pothole and it opened the back, letting the coals rain down onto the street. Jack turned down a smaller street with the redcoats on horseback close behind. They were going under a low bridge when it hit the coal cart sign and it shot sparks that enraged the fallen coals into a giant flame, delaying the soldiers as they made a quick get-away.
Jack had led them to a tavern where he saw a low bearing sign. He quickly jumped and grabbed hold of it before watching Carmella being grabbed and pulled up onto the roof by Faye. The redcoats saw the burning cart and continued to follow it as it left their sight. Once he knew that it was safe to drop down, he did. The girls slowly coming down to stand beside him. Faye looked at the sign and muttered," Really?"
"Isn't this the tavern that Gibbs mentioned?" Carmella asked.
"Yes," Faye sighed.
Behind them they heard, "Filthy pirates," as a redcoat loaded his gun and pointed it at them. Before he could shoot, a shot was heard and the man fell dead. Out from the darkness came a rather burly man.
"Hello Jackie," said the man as he grinned he then turned to the girls and nodded his head, "Girls."
"Hello, Uncle Teague," Carmella said. Faye just waved.
"Hello dad," Jack said as he did a small salute. Teague then gestured that they all go into the tavern. When they did, bursts of laughter was heard from drunken ladies and men. He then escorted them to a table. Once everyone had sat down, he had ordered drinks before looking a his son.
"I heard that you're putting together a crew," Teague said.
"Enough people keep saying that, so it must be true," Jack responded.
"I heard that you were headed to The Fountain," Teague continued.
"Again with that bloody fountain," Carmella growled as she took a swig of her rum.
"You been there?" Jack asked.
Teague raised a brow and motioned to his face,"Does this face look like it's been to the Fountain of Youth?"
"You don't look that bad," Carmella commented as she held a chuckle as Faye was trying to hold a drunk man at bay.
Teague just chuckled,"Thanks love."
"That depends on the light," Jack said with a smirk before getting hit on the head by Carmella.
"Son, The Fountain there be items required for the profane ritual," Teague said before listing the items, "Two chalices-"
"On the map there was a chalice," Jack said as he interrupted him.
"Two, silver from Ponce de Leon's ship. You'll need both," Teague continued before Jack interrupted again.
"For?" He asked
"The ritual, don't be a fool Jackie," Teague said seriously. "Find out every detail before you sail," He wanted. "Especially with these girls."
"I'll be fine Uncle Teague," Faye said as she punched the drunk man onto the table across from them.
"What she said," Carmella added.
"Set sail? I'd love to. For that, I need a ship," Jack stated after Teague chuckled at Faye's remark. "Of course I would be protective of the girls."
"Those folks over there, they have a ship," Teague said. "They're signing up sailors right now." Teage looked over Jack's shoulder to the group beyond. "One last thing Jackie. The Fountain will test you, mark my words." Teague and Jack then cheered before guzzling the rest of their drink. Jack had turned to look at the folks his father mentioned again before looking back to see that he had disappeared.
"Where did he go?" Carmella asked with a raised brow.
Faye shrugged as she had made a pile of drunken sailors on the ground.
"You ok?" Carmella asked and Faye nodded as she came over to sit next to them again. She had placed a giant bag of coin on the table.
"My winnings," She said proudly before putting the bag out of view.
Jack then slipped away to go behind the minstrell. He placed a knife on his neck, "I hear you be recruiting a crew?"
The man stutters, "Aye. That is, Jack Sparrow, is putting together a modest venture." Jack then let go of him before taking a look. "You've got some nerve ain't cha. Turning up here dressed like that. What are ye, some kind of imposter?"
"Do you have any idea who I am mate?" Jack asked with a stern gaze. The musician laughed.
"Hey Marcus," The man called, "We have a bloke here whose forgotten his own name." He laughed.
A man came barging out from a nearby door and said, "Buy a bloke a drink, I'm sailing with Sparrow."
The girls had finished their drink before getting up to join Jack by his side. "Interesting crew," Carmella said. Faye just sighed as she shook her head.
(Reunion at The Captain's Daughter)
Jack looks over and spotted a shadow in the doorway. He started to follow the shadow, and the girls easily tagged along. Out from behind a pillar came the shadow that he had spotted before. The shadow looked towards him and they both unsheathed their swords.
"We'll let you handle this one," Carmella said as Faye and her backed to the wall.
"You've stolen me and I've came to take meself back," Jack said. Faye just facepalmed.
The shadow went to 'hide' behind a pillar, Jack went and leaned against the otherside. Both were ready to attack when needed. After peaking both sides, they started to do a dance with their swords. Clashes and sounds of steel against steel rang through the air.
"This is actually entertaining," Carmella stated.
"A dinner and a show," Faye said as she folded her arms.
The two broke away only to start circling the fire pit. They stopped and stared at each other before walking towards one another. Jack started to stroke his beard and the shadow copied. "Stop doing that," He muttered before starting the sword fight again. Jack's sword got stuck into the roasting pig before the other could attack, he brought it back out. After a few minutes of back and forth clashing of the swords, the shadow kicked Jack to the ground before starting to climb up crates. Jack quickly followed and minorly dodged a rolling barrel as the two climbed onto the upper rafters.
As they stepped from beam to beam, their swords made contact. Faye and Carmella were watching the whole entire time. Carmella leaned over and asked, "You are going to catch him if he falls, right?"
"Maybe," Faye said with a smirk before rolling her eyes at Carmella's face. "Yes, of course I will."
Jack grabbed a chain that was nearby before kicking the shadow. It reached for a beam before it could fall as Jack jumped to another one. The mysterious figure climbed up and followed suit before the barrels underneath them got loose and started to fall, bringing the two down with them. The dancing of the blades continued ceasely before the shadow stepped on Jack's foot. A few more strikes with some fancy footwork was made before the shadow backed Jack to the fire pit with the sword pointed at his chest.
"Only one person alive, knows that move," Jack muttered before moving the sword and pulling the shadow into a kiss.
"What the?" Carmella said in shock.
"Another one of Jack's 'girls' I presume," Faye said to her before Jack pulled away.
"I've always wanted to do that," Jack said with a smirk. "Hello Angelica," He said as he pulled off the beard.
"Nice!" Carmella said before getting a stern glare from her sister. "What,' She said sheepishly which resulted in a small hit from her. "He almost got his butt kicked by a girl," She continued to explain.
"Still, you're interrupting the show," Faye said flatly.
"Hello Jack," Angelica muttered,"Are you impressed?" She asked as she started to peel off the hair underneath her lips. "I almost killed you once or twice there," She said.
"Twice, it was definitely twice!" Carmella shouted to her. She got a quick glare from her.
"I'm touched by your most sincere form of flattery," He said as he took the hat off with his sword before throwing the hat to the side. "But why…?" He asked.
"You were the only pirate I thought I could pass off," She said as she took off her wig. In the distance Carmella was cackling.
"That is not a compliment," Jack said as she ripped her shirt open showing him a good shot of her cleavage.
"Don't worry Jack I forgave you a long time ago," She stated as she pulled off the mustache.
"For what?" He asked, "For leaving you?"
"I recall that I left you," Angelica said as she started to walk away but Jack followed.
"Gentlemen allows a lady to maintain her fiction," Jack said to her.
"I don't think that's fiction,' Carmella said as she sat down at the fire pit. Faye had walked over with her.
"Look Sparrow, as long as my sailors get their money, they're willing to put up with any number of peculiarities," Angelica said before looking towards the two girls. "Speaking of which, who are these two?" She asked. "More of your women? "
Carmella and Faye gave looks of disgust. "No! Definitely not. They are my Goddaughters. This is Carmella, and Faye de Mare." He pointed at them when their names were said.
"Nice to meet you, hope he doesn't give you trouble…..again." Carmella stated.
"Hi," Faye said simply before looking at the fire and how the small wisps of heat was being manipulated.
"Never knew you were a Godfather, Jack,' She said simply as she looked at the two.
"Well, it wasn't something I had planned on, but wouldn't change it for the world," He said sincerely, which made Angelica raise a brow.
"Thanks Uncle Jack," Carmella said with a smile.
Jack nodded before turning his attention back to Angelica as she started to move again. "This is one pecularity with which I will not put up with," he then goes to stand in front of her. "I will be impersonated as Captain, nothing less."
"Well for that, you need a ship," She said as she leaned in close. "And as it turns out, I have one," She whispered.
"I could use a ship-" Jack began before being interrupted by Carmella.
"So could we for that matter!"
"I hear tell, that you've been to The Fountain," Angelica said with a purr.
"There's a lot of hear telling going on around here," Jack stated,"And it keeps leading up to the girls as well," He said mentioning his Goddaughters.
"They've been?" She asked intrigued.
"No, we were just there when he was looking," Faye said from stoking the fire.
"We didn't exactly get very far," Carmella said as she watched Faye curiously.
"The Fountain of Youth," Angelica continued to flirt.
"Dearest Angelica, fret not, you still have a few beautiful years left," he said as he started to circle around her.
Carmella and Faye just winced as they heard that comment and mentally counted down to what they think would be a spat.
"Always so charming," Angelica said sarcastically as she looked to him. She then got close to him as she said, "You didn't answer me, they did,"
"Aye. In regards to the fountain, waste of time," Jack said simply before getting interrupted by voices coming from outside.
The minstrel came to the doorway to warn them, "M'lady, I see un-seamen like fellows of a vicious looking nature." He then closed the door as the small group stood up and got ready to move.
Angelica quickly locked the door and whispered to him, "Friends of yours?"
"I may have unattendedly slighted some king or other," Jack said to her.
"The King of England to be precise," Carmella said, "And it is technically because of you."
"Or the whole idea of impersonating Jack," Faye quickly said before glaring at her.
"I'm as impulsive as the sea, can't help it." Carmella said defensively.
"You have not changed," Angelica whispered to Jack as the noises of soldiers were heard through the door.
"You betrayed me," Angelica whispered to him. "You said you'd use me and you used me. I was innocent in the ways of men."
"Demonstrated a lot of techniques for someone I supposedly corrupted," Jack said which made Angelica give him a look.
"We do not need to hear this over here," Carmella stated.
"We need to go!" Faye whispered harshly.
"Imminent danger, go now, m'lady," The minstrel said as he continued to block the doorway. They heard angry soldiers saying to open the door.
"I was ready to take my vows," Angelica said sternly, "And you. What were you doing in a Spanish Convent anyway?!"
"I mistook it for a brothel," Jack said before getting slapped by Carmella and Faye in anger. "It was a mistake," He said as he rubbed his cheeks.
The door then was barged in, making the minstrel duck for cover. The soldiers started to stream into the room. Angelica then grabbed her sword and started to fight. Jack followed in suit. Carmella took out her two swords and joined the fight while Faye started to pop off her gun, knocking soldiers down one by one. As men start to fall, more come barreling in.
"They have us at a disadvantage," Angelica said as the four of them were backed up into each other.
Jack kept fighting while saying, "Speak for yourself. Unlike some who pretend to be, but can not hold a candle to, I'm Captain Jack Sparrow."
"Really?!" Carmella said exasperatedly as she fought another soldier or two. Jack then pierced a wine barrel and its contents spilled onto some soldiers and blinded them. He then runs to the other barrels along with Angelica and the girls as they continued to pierce them. Soldiers started to slip fall as Jack decided to get himself a drink.
"Now is not the best time!" Carmella said as more soldiers came to them. Angelica looked to Jack before they slashed at the trap door trigger which resulted in them going down the hole and into the water below, with the girls falling behind. The soldiers just look as the group started to swim away. Carmella helped the three as she used her power to guide them away from the scene.
As they came up for air Jack said, "How can you say I used you?"
"You know EXACTLY how," Angelica retorted.
"I know but, how can you say it?"
"I apologize repeatedly for him," Carmella said as she watched the two. Faye was just floating above the water. Angelica had stopped to stare at her and how she was floating before understanding who they might be. At this point, Carmella had raised herself to be standing on the surface of the water before she walked to the dock. Faye lifted her hand which rose the two out of the water and towards the dock as well.
"So what is it?" Angelica asked Jack as the initial shock slowly started to wear off.
"What is what?"Jack grunts.
"About the fountain," She said, "What do you know?"
"You don't happen to be in the possession of two silver chalices of Ponce de Leon?" He asked.
"No?" Angelica responded.
"Ha, I thought not," Jack stated.
"Why?" She asked.
"I hear stories, rumors. You are of course are aware of the ritual," He said as he looked at her.
"Yes I am," Angelica said.
"What is it?" Jack asked, "What is required?" A sudden swoosh sound was heard as Jack got hit with a dart. He pulled it out of his neck.
"A mermaid, Jack," Angelica said softly as he fell to the ground.
"UNCLE JACK!" The girls screamed as the wind started to whip in rage and the waters were beginning to swell. Before they could do anything, two more darts were heard and they landed in the necks of the girls and they too fell.
Meanwhile at the Tower of London, Gibbs was being led out to the courtyard in the dead of night. "There's been a mistake!" Gibbs said to them. "It's a life sentence! Not death! Life!" The sound of metal doors were heard as he came limping out with a coil of rope in his hand. Gibbs was forced to turn around to see Barbossa. "Barbossa!?" He said.
"Thank you gentlemen," Barbossa said as he hobbled forward before throwing the rope at him. "I trust you can tie a noose."
"That's a hard thing," Gibbs responded, "Forcing a man to twist his own hanging rope," He said as he threw the rope back at him.
"You must lie in yer bed in the way you made it," Barbossa said as he tossed the rope to another soldier.
"What's happened to you?" Gibbs asked him, "Do the girls know about this?"
"Where be Jack Sparrow?" He said as he ignored the questions.
"They escaped?" Gibbs asked.
"I'm on a tight schedule here. The H.M S. Providence sets sail at first light, and do not care to watch you hanging here dead with a mouth full of flies. Speak now," He said to him.
"Take me with you," Gibbs said to him. "Any point of the compass-"
"Take you where Gibbs? The Fountain? Aye? Is that where Jack be going? Have you anything you can offer me Gibbs?" He asked the other man. "Anything at all?" He whispered. "Upon my naked word you would not see the dawn." Gibbs then bent down to his shoe and took out the charts. Barbossa grins, "Hand it over." Gibbs quickly threw the charts onto the ground before grabbing a nearby lantern and smashing it upon the parchment, causing it to burn. "You fool!" Barbossa snarled.
"I had just enough time to study those infernal circles. Every route, every destination, safe in here," Gibbs said as he pointed to his head.
"Welcome back to his Majesty's Navy, Master Gibbs," Barbossa said before walking off with Gibbs following behind.
