Tom gave his mate no rest that night.
His vow that he would follow Harriet's order and go against Mae's wishes had seemed sincere, but as dawn finally broke outside, between the orgasms and sleep deprivation, she began to view the situation in a different light.
"Tom…….?" She whispered in a breathy sigh.
Tom bent his head for one last, languid pull from her nipple as he slowly withdrew his fingers from her most sensitive spot.
On the verge of a rut, driven nearly insane by the past hours spent making his passionate plea to his beloved, his voice came out as more of a husky growl than he intended as he asked, "...Yes, sweetling?"
"Perhaps we can….." Harriet panted as Tom gave her another deep, slow roll of his hips.
She closed her eyes as the best parts of him brushed against the best parts of her.
"...Write to Dumbledore?" Harriet sighed as she opened her eyes.
Tom smirked at the glowing blush on her cheeks that served as proof of the pleasure she had spent the last hours receiving.
He gazed down at his darling with his dark eyes dilated and his jaw slack.
"Of course, sweetling." He managed to purr while he leaned into Harriet's hand and pressed a kiss against her palm, "As soon as you and I leave your nest, we can send a letter straight away."
A gentle moan escaped from Harriet as Tom leaned down for a kiss.
The notion was both thrilling and terrifying as she realized that it could be hours yet before her alpha allowed her to leave their cozy respite.
Harriet Potter could always bring out the animal in Tom Riddle.
—————————————————————
The Minister for Magic's appetite for his wife had not been unwarranted.
Lawrence looked after the children over the next few days while Tom burned through what became his latest rut.
Unable to stay at home for an entire week, Tom junior spent a great deal of time either apparating back to the bedroom he shared with Harriet or bringing her to his office and bending her over his desk with the doors firmly locked.
Merope and Tom senior returned to the estate on the fourth day, which finally provided the Riddle family's elderly butler some relief.
On the last day of Tom's rut, Harriet gave him his morning reward as they made love once more.
While Tom did his best to slake his lust on her, she glanced out the large window in time to notice a brown owl flying towards the house with a letter in its beak.
Her heart skipped a beat from pure anxiety.
What would Dumbledore say?
Would he allow Mae to enter Hogwarts years behind her peers?
……….If he did not, how would she handle the news?
Once their coupling concluded and Tom lay contented in her nest with his arms draped around her, Harriet tried to identify the last time their daughter was staunchly refused……anything.
She failed to think of a single example.

To the Minister for Magic and his family,
Thank you for your letter. I would be willing to discuss the matter further in person. Would you be able to visit my office at noon next Friday? The invitation is for each family member, not only the Minister himself.
Sincerely,
Albus Dumbledore, Headmaster of Hogwarts
The headmaster's response had surprised Harriet.
Mae had squealed with delight.
The next few days passed in a blur.
On the morning of the Riddle family's scheduled meeting with Dumbledore, Harriet slept while Tom rose and dressed.
A soft smirk curled his lips as he watched his darling.
Happy suspicion grew in his heart.
Only when the hour forced him to did he finally walk over, sit on the bed, and gently rouse Harriet with a kiss.
She blinked her eyes open groggily as she gazed at her alpha.
"Good morning, sweetling." Tom smiled.
"Good morning……." Harriet blinked before she realized Tom had put on one of his finest dark suits.
She sat up with a gasp as she exclaimed, "You're already dressed! Are we late?!"
"No, of course not." Tom chuckled, "There's still plenty of time for you to prepare yourself, sweetling."
"Why did you let me sleep this long?!" Harriet demanded as she leapt from her nest and hurried to get ready after she glanced at the clock on the wall.
"Because expectant mothers need their rest." He answered.
Harriet shot Tom a serious scowl.
She resisted the urge to slap the impish grin he gave her in return off of his face.
"I haven't conceived again, Tom." She retorted, "I was only tired from yesterday. You know I had three meetings with three board members from three different charities……and each one ran late."
"Of course, sweetling." He answered without losing his grin.
Harriet sighed as she slipped out of her nightdress and into her robes.
She could feel her alpha's dark gaze ghosting over what he could glimpse of her bare body.
Harriet purposely turned towards him to give him a good view of her belly.
The silvery scars that lined the skin there only excited Tom further as he watched.
Harriet noticed his posture go rigid as she passed a hand across her abdomen with a soft sigh.
Her alpha loved having her pregnant.
Harriet smiled to herself as she fastened her robes and brushed her hair.
Why not let the man she loved dream?
Tom ultimately knew they had a slim to zero chance of conceiving again, the Contraception Potion he had watched Harriet drink every morning since Mark's birth guaranteed that.
—————————————————————
Since apparition directly to the castle was not possible, it took the Riddle family a little while to Floo into Hogsmeade and walk up the steep hill that led to Hogwarts.
Tom held Harriet's hand as they went.
James and Mark hurtled questions at their parents in between chattering on about their own hopes and expectations.
Mae followed the four of them in an eerie silence.
The bright summer guaranteed that the castle was vacant, except for the staff and faculty who had chosen to remain on school grounds.
Once they reached the castle's front door, Tom cast the unique spell which served as his stamp of authority, after which, the Riddles were granted entry.
Harriet and Tom both remembered the way to Dumbledore's office.
They whispered a brief, guided tour to their children as they took the liberty of walking them through the magnificent institution and showing them the highlights, from the Great Hall to the greenhouses all the way down to the dungeons.
Mark and James continued their babbling in excited whispers.
Mae remained silent.
Eventually, Harriet and Tom concluded their tour and led their children up to the revolving staircase before they all entered the headmaster's office.
As soon as Tom opened the heavy door, a low, languid sound poured out from inside.
"Yes, Headmaster……..I had a similar epiphany when I heard the news."
Mae blinked.
Tom and Harriet walked forward until they came to the small platform that separated the lower floor of Dumbledore's office from his raised chair.
The elderly headmaster was seated at his desk, in long, majestic robes while he spoke to a tall man, dressed all in black, with hair of a matching hue draped around his shoulders.
As Professor Snape turned to look at who had interrupted their conversation, Tom and Harriet instantly recognized his hooked nose and calculating eyes.
"Tom!" Dumbledore exclaimed, "...Harriet! Is it noon already? Ah, yes, it is! So good to see you both again!"
"Good afternoon, Headmaster." Tom nodded before he politely did the same to Severus, "Professor Snape."
"The castle is humbled." Severus sneered as he gave Tom a haughty smirk, "It's not every day the Minister for Magic himself…..manages a visit."
"It's good to see you too, headmaster!" Harriet interjected before she turned to Severus and nodded while Dumbledore rose from his desk to approach his visitors, "You as well, Professor."
Severus shot Harriet a hateful scowl as if her family's presence was an unbearable annoyance.
Mae peered out from behind her father, always on the lookout for new dolls.
Severus cast her a calculating glare in return before he swept past the newcomers and saw himself out, just as Dumbledore opened his arms and gestured, "Won't you all have a seat?"
"...Mum?" Mark asked.
Harriet and Tom turned to look at their youngest son.
"What is it, sweetheart?" Harriet smiled.
"Can James and I explore the castle?" Mark frowned.
Harriet glanced at Tom, who gladly nodded and smiled reassuringly, "Go on, my dear. Show them around a bit more, my visit with the headmaster will be brief."
As Tom stepped forward to begin his discussion with Dumbledore, Harriet led James and Mark out of the room, with Mae following closely behind.
"Now then, Tom." Dumbledore sighed as he sat at his desk while Tom took his own seat a short distance away, "I understand you wish me to allow your daughter entry into our school? As a fourth year with no record of any formal, magical learning?"
"It is not my wish, headmaster." Tom arrogantly corrected Dumbledore as a sinister grin spread across his handsome face, "It is my command."
—————————————————————
James and Mark threw so many questions at Harriet that she failed to notice Mae had slipped away from them to slink down the dungeon stairs.
"Mummy, where are all the classrooms?!"
"Mum, how many people are here during the school year?"
"Didn't you first meet Dad on the train?"
"Are all the windows this big?!?!"
Harriet answered each inquiry with the gentle patience of a loving mother, yet as she guided the boys through the castle during her mobile interview, her eyes widened as an idea entered her mind.
"Where are we going, Mummy?" Mark asked as Harriet suddenly switched course while she pushed her two little boys in the opposite direction.
James frowned, "Yeah, Mum, where are we going, anyway?"
"I'm going to introduce you two to one of my oldest and dearest friends." Harriet chuckled, "I haven't seen him in quite some time."
"Who is it?" James frowned.
"Why haven't you seen him?" Mark pressed.
"I've written to him." Harriet shrugged, "But your father and I have been very busy."
"For years?" Mark gasped.
"Apparently." Harriet frowned.
As she walked, her frown deepened.
Tom had managed to cocoon her into a world where only he and their children existed, outside of their duties to wizarding Britain's government.
Had it really been…….fourteen years?
Harriet sucked in a breath as she emerged from the castle with her sons at her side.
It was all she could do not to break into a run the moment she saw Hagrid's Hut.
