Welcome back to The Injustice Wars. Last time, we finally caught up with the team on Ysmault, where they were successful in retrieving the data on Captain Avarice. Today, though, we focus in on Blaze and her magic team. Will they be able to stop Scarecrow in time? Read on to discover...

(Our scene opens up inside The Nameless City, where the scepter Scarecrow was carrying is placed upon a dais, while Darkblood, Enchantress, Killer Frost, Raven, and Scarecrow are finishing up coffee and dessert with Multiplex standing by)

Scarecrow: I'll admit, I never had pavlova before today. It's not bad.

Killer Frost: A little too much passion fruit for my tastes.

Darkblood: (Placing his coffee in the hands of one of Multiplex's copies) Now that we've had our meal, I do believe it's time we got down to business.

Enchantress: Agreed.

Darkblood: Raven, you know this demon stuff better than anyone. What needs to be done to break the spell?

Raven: Our combined powers should be able to undo the enchantments of Fate.

Darkblood: Excellent. Let's get to work then. (To the rest) Stand back.

(With that, warning, Enchantress, Killer Frost, and Scarecrow stand back while Raven summons the power of Trigon into herself and fires it at the scepter, while Darkblood fires back with Dark Aether from the other side. And soon enough, the orb atop the scepter starts to crack. But just as the cracks start to spiderweb out, the ceiling breaks open as Blaze and her team come crashing in)

Etrigan: You know not what fury the Demon hath. Cease this madness or face my wrath!

Scarecrow: This is far too important for you to meddle in, demon!

(Without hesitation, Scarecrow pulls a Fear Gas grenade from his belt and throws it at the heroes. Doctor Fate conjures a barrier that the grenade passes through, by passing out of existence.)

Doctor Fate: You have no idea what evil you are about to unleash.

Enchantress: (Brushing past Scarecrow) Let me handle this. (To Multiplex) You take care of the rest, the dragoness is mine.

Blaze: Etrigan, you backing me up on this?

(With a nod, Blaze and Etrigan rush into action against Enchantress while Multiplex battles the rest. All the while, Doctor Fate is trying to fight his way past the distractions, heading towards Darkblood and Raven. After a few minutes, we zoom back in on Blaze and Etrigan, who aren't doing too hot against Enchantress)

Etrigan: This hag's gotten stronger since we last fought! We need an edge, or all is nought!

Blaze: Sounds like we may need Constantine.

Etrigan: A sound plan. Gone, Gone, O Etrigan!

(Once again, Etrigan is consumed in flames, but before the second verse can be spoken, Enchantress sees an opening)

Enchantress: Not this time, Demon!

(With that, Enchantress fires a bold into the pillar of fire surrounding Etrigan. Somehow the dark magic has the effect of sending John Constantine flying out of the flames unharmed)

John Constantine: Bugger, that can't be good.

(And sure enough, John Constantine is right, as once the flames subside, Etrigan is still standing there, only with a hole in his chest. And as the last of the ash settles, he falls over, almost dead)

Blaze: ETRIGAN!

John Constantine: Now that was probably your worst move yet, hag. You see, Etrigan and I had become pretty close after all this.

Enchantress: If you really think I care, then...

(But before she can finish, she's hit in the face by a giant brick-red arm. Hellboy just entered the fight)

Hellboy: I might not have known Etrigan for that long, but he seemed like an alright guy. Which is more than I can say for you. I'd say you've earned more than that simple knuckle sandwich. I'd say this calls for the whole combo meal.

John Constantine: Couldn't have put it better myself, Anang Un Rama.

Hellboy: How do you know my goddamn name?

John Constantine: We'll talk later. (Summons magic circles around his hands) Let's kick this hag's tail.

(While Hellboy and John Constantine take over the fight against Enchantress, Blaze tries everything to save Etrigan.)

Blaze: There's got to be something I can do here!

Etrigan: Blaze...

Blaze: I'm not letting you die on me, Etrigan!

Etrigan: Blaze, my time is here. But this world's, is nowhere near. The battle's not lost, but far from won. Only you can see this victory done. Go now, save the age of man. And bid farewell... to Etrigan...

(And with that, Etrigan expires from his wounds. Blaze can't believe it, letting her head drop in depression as a tear rolls down her cheek. And before long, Enchantress looks over at this scene, an evil smirk on her face and cruel laughter on her lips)

Enchantress: Don't worry. You'll get to see him again soon. IN HELL!

(Enchantress attempts to fire a bolt at Blaze, but in that moment, she gets back up and unleashes a stream of Fire that almost burns away Enchantress' hand)

Blaze: That was one of my closest friends in this world. And you just murdered him. Now you face a dragon's FURY!

(And in that moment, Blaze charges up her element to its maximum capacity. The flames permeate every cell of her body at this rate. And then, she unleashes it. A Fire Fury unlike anything Blaze has ever pulled off. The flash itself is blinding. But we don't see what happens as it fades, as our scene ends for today on it)

And that looks like a good place to end for now. This chapter and the next one were originally one scene, but it seemed a little clunky to write, so I chose to break it up. So, what happens when the Fire Fury clears? Tune in next time to find out! Same time... same channel!
