Ratchet's terrible timing flying to clear his mind results in getting shot, falling out of the sky and getting injured to the point he can't move. Meanwhile, a femme dragonformer is walking back to her cave and notices the fallen trees caused by Ratchet's fall and finds him. She takes him to her cave and helps him.
Everything was going as good as things could for a pissed dragonformer flying to clear his mind after arguing with Bulkhead; what else could go wrong? Even though Ratchet didn't say it out loud, worse did happen; someone shot him, causing injury to his ribs. Ratchet couldn't concentrate on avoiding falling out of the sky, hitting the ground hard, taking down trees in the process. He tries to get up, but the pain is unbearable. He roars in pain before trying to contact the others but is unable to. All he can do is lay on the ground until he slips into recharge.
Meanwhile, another dragonformer is walking back to her cave when she notices trees down, but it's clear humans didn't cut them down, which concerned (Y/N). She cautiously follows the path of downed trees, unprepared to see another dragonformer. She's never seen one on Earth before. The question is, does she trust this on? She couldn't find an insignia, but she notices this dragonformer was trying to deal with pain.
Are they in stasis lock? She wonders. Even if they are in recharge, this isn't a good place to recharge. The dragonformer wakes up as she gets closer and blushes until pain reminds him he's injured. He groans which worries (Y/N). Since she isn't in her dragon form, she's able to carry this dragonformer to her cave. Though it is going to be tricky carrying a dragon, add they're in pain.
"I'm sorry, but even if you could transform, your injury would still cause pain."
Ratchet couldn't keep himself from growling in pain; feeling embarrassed, this femme thinks it's funny.
(Y/N) sets Ratchet down gently, but he still growls in pain and goes to get a medkit. Ratchet is amazed at how her home looks and finds she has a soft bed. Even with the pain, Ratchet walks to the bed and lays on it. Ratchet watches her come back, now in her bipedal form, carrying a medkit, wondering how dies she have one? She doesn't look like a medic.
"Easy, I have pain relief," she says as she sits on her knees by the bed.
She injects pain relief and waits a few minutes before touching Ratchet. She realizes Ratchet is an older mech and finds his Autobot insignia and clues he's a medic as she examines him.
"Broken ribs; I'm going to induce stasis, ok?"
(Y/N) knows anybot wouldn't trust someone they just met to knock them out, even if they had a medkit, but Ratchet agrees. Once the old mech is asleep, (Y/N) repairing the broken ribs and damaged comlink. This does take hours; she finishes at midnight. Once she ends stasis and gives Ratchet more pain relief and sleep aid, (Y/N) lays in the extra bed she has, wondering how tomorrow will go until she falls asleep.
