(Y/N) thought Smokescreen was behind her as she ran through the ground bridge, but he turned back, which was good for Prime. Unfortunately, Smokescreen fears he made the wrong decision, even after finding (Y/N) ok and everyone agreeing with his decision.

(Y/N)'s P.O.V.
I run through the space bridge, thinking Smokescreen is behind me.
"Oh wow, we're lucky and got sent to a beautiful place," I look behind me and watch the space bridge close, but no Smokescreen, "Smokescreen?"
The cons must have hit the base before he could run through. Smokescreen, Ratchet, and Prime are dead. I have to find the others so we can finish the war in their honor.

Smokescreen's P.O.V.
I am such an idiot, ditching my love (Y/N) for the phase shifter. Did I redeem myself by getting Optimus out of the wreck that was once our base? I don't know. All I know is (Y/N) is alone and doesn't know where the others are. I can't abandon Prime and let him die; even if I could be a Prime, this isn't how it's supposed to end.

After the battle on Darkmount

I missed the battle, ugh. I see the three kids, but where's (Y/N)? She would get involved in the fight. No, don't tell me...
"SMOKESCREEN!" A female yells.
I'm so glad we have holoforms; now I can hug (Y/N) without worrying about crushing her. I activate my holoform and run up to her. I don't care if the others are watching as we make out.

After the others celebrate Prime being alive and finding out the Forge of Solus Prime has been drained of its power to repair Prime, everyone goes to bed. I activate my holoform again and walk behind (Y/N) in the bathroom.
"Shouldn't you be recharging?" She asks.
"I want to sleep with you. I'm sorry I didn't go with you. I should have, and you could have been attacked-."
"And we would have lost Prime. I can't be mad when you saved our leader. Unfortunately, the beds here aren't even full-sized-."
"Then you can sleep on top of me, please."
I hug (Y/N) and cry. I don't care. I can recharge right by her room; I want her close to me, and sleeping in my alt mode wouldn't be comfortable. Fowler is already asleep, so I can't ask if there's a room with a bigger bed or if we can put another bed in the room.
"Ok, come on."

The Next Day

(Y/N)'s P.O.V.
Smokescreen is not pleased he couldn't scan a new vehicle yesterday, though I think he just wants a new color scheme. I take him out to scan a new color scheme. After a few hours, he settles on blue with yellow. We return to the base only for Magnus to lecture us on how we didn't have permission to leave the base. He seriously gave Smokescreen punishment by staking Energon cubes. I try my best to help, though one cube is huge and heavy compared to a human's size. I can feel Magnus watching us. When we finished, I suggested watching T.V., but Smokescreen sat on the couch, hugged me close, and cried.
"Come on, I already told you it was a good thing you stayed behind," I remind him.

Ultra Magnus' P.O.V.
This is not good behavior for a soldier. The others even see this and are concerned. I'm about to scold Smokescreen when prime returns.
"Sir, you need to look at this," I request. Prime and I watch Smokescreen cry, and he hugs (Y/N), "This is not normal or ok."
"I fear Smokescreen is traumatized, knowing what could have happened to (Y/N)."
"They had to separate, right?" Arcee asks.
"No, like you and Jack; the two could go together, but Smokescreen wanted to get the phase shifter and found me," Optimus explains, "leave him alone for a while. For now, I'm excluding him from missions. I only hope he can heal from this experience and not become overprotective of (Y/N)."
