The dreaded day has come, and Smokescreen refuses to leave (Y/N). He takes the chance to tell Prime he's staying, aware of the consequences.
(Y/N)'s P.O.V.
I know the day will come; when the Autobots go home. Some days I think to myself that's a reason I shouldn't be in a relationship with Smokescreen — and the fact he's an alien — but I am, and I know that day is coming soon.
After the final battle
Smokescreen's P.O.V.
With the war on Earth won, it's time to go home to Cyberton. Be Optimus allows Ratchet to stay behind, but doesn't he know how much I love (Y/N)? I don't care even if we'll have a space bridge; there'll be rules when I can return to Earth. It could be months before I can return.
"Let's go, Smokescreen!" Arcee scolds.
I look at (Y/N), trying not to cry.
"No!"
"How dare you—!" Ratchet starts.
"Easy Ratchet, why do you refuse, Smokescreen?" Prime asks.
Damn it, I may end up in a heap of trouble.
"I'm not going back!" I firmly state, "I can't leave the love of my life behind. Even if I can visit, how long before I will be able to? I am not waiting months to see her!"
The others are shocked. I don't know if it's what I said or my tone towards our leader.
"How dare you speak to Optimus in that tone!" Ultra Magnus scolds, "when we return to Cyberton, I will make sure—."
"That's enough, Magnus," Optimus interrupts, "I don't understand why you fear telling me this. While we could use your help on Cybertron; you are needed here," all the humans — but Fowler — cheer. Fowler and Ratchet are not thrilled, "but please visit us."
I didn't think Optimus would hug me, then the others follow his lead. We look at (Y/N), who is shocked.
(Y/N)'s P.O.V.
This has to be a dream, and I'm about to wake up.
"Are you ok?" Jack asks.
"It's only a dream," I reply as tears roll down my face.
Smokescreen's holoform approaches and hugs me.
"You're Not Dreaming," he says as tears roll down his face, "I'm staying here, and we'll have a life together."
We both end up crying until Prime interrupts us to say goodbye. Even watches the others leave hurts, but it would hurt more watching Smokescreen leave.
Once the ground bridge closed, Smokescreen — still using his holoform — and I go to his room. The others are also sad, but we don't want to cry in front of them.
Ratchet's P.O.V.
Three hours pass, and Smokescreen hasn't returned to his bipedal form. I look in his room to find him and (Y/N) sleeping. They cried themselves to sleep. Sad, the others left and happy they're still together. One day we'll go to Cyberton to visit. Hopefully, it's not too long before the others can visit.
