Bumblebee has been thinking about his life. One day, Optimus notices something is troubling him. Cade advises him to leave Bee alone, but he eventually follows Bee, and they talk.
One day after everything is figured out, the Autobots know they are safe on Earth, N.E.S.T. is reinstated; Bumblebee finds himself thinking about his time on Earth and on Cybertron since the war started. He decides he needs to go somewhere to think.
Optimus watches Bee transform and drives away. He's about to follow Bumblebee when (Y/N) tells him to leave Bumblebee alone.
"We've all been through a lot, and he needs to be alone to figure things out," (Y/N) explains.
Optimus agrees to leave Bumblebee alone and goes to talk to Cade. Believing there are similarities between being a parent on Earth and Cybertron.
"Leave him alone for a while," Cade tells him.
Prime was hoping for other advice like 'go talk to him,' but he agrees and doesn't follow Bee, but refusing to find Bee doesn't last long.
Bumblebee sits on a boulder, thinking about his training on Cybertron and the battles he fought in on both Cybertron and Earth.
His thoughts lead him to do a little training in the forest. Optimus watches as Bumblebee focused on punching the trees, enough to leave a dent but not knock it down — which he easily can. Optimus watches for two hours before watching Bumblebee drive away as if he just realized Optimus has been watching him. Optimus follows Bee but keeps his distance, which is a challenge.
Night has fallen by the time Bumblebee stops. Optimus watches Bee go to the middle of an open field, lay on the ground, and watch the stars. A Cybertronian can't sneak as the air is silent.
Bumblebee sighs, "why did you follow me?" He asks without looking at who's approaching him.
"I have been concerned about you," Prime replies, "what's on your processor?"
"A lot."|
Optimus sits by Bee, "I know."
"How do you deal with himself changing?"
The question surprises Optimus.
"You can only embrace it."
"We've lost a lot. I've lost a lot."
"But you have gained much."
"I know we've made many friends — even if they're humans — but it's hard not to think of the friends I've lost."
"I know you are puzzled and confused. I'll be here if you need me."
Optimus gets up to leave.
"Thanks... dad."
Optimus is shocked and turns around only to see Bee hug him.
Your carrier would be proud of you. Optimus thinks as he hugs Bee.
As the two end the hug, Optimus' chassis exposed his spark chamber. To both mechs' surprise, Elita appears and hugs both mechs.
"I may not be with you physically, but I'm so proud of both of you. I am proud of you, my sparking."
The three cry and hug before Elita disappears.
