Author's Note: I decided to write this chapter after playing the mission where Edward is briefly imprisoned along with Mary and Anne. Instead of Ah Tabai rescuing Edward and Anne, also Mary, I changed it to Kassandra to fit in with the Crossover narrative. Anyway hope you enjoy!

"Oi! Open the gibbet!" Edward was heard calling and shaking the gibbet he was placed in, to no avail.

"Quiet down!" The British redcoats who were guarding him, unimpressed, turned around to face him.

Edward angrily shook the cage, once more - groaning in frustration and anger to no avail, that was until,

A hooded figure in the back came out of a nearby bush, springing into action killing two of the nearby unsuspecting guards.

Edward watched on in Surprise and shock. Somebody had come to rescue him, but who?

He stopped rattling the cage, smiling instead as the mystery saviour placed two hidden blades on the guard's back, killing them both instantly.

The mysterious saviour pulled down their hood revealing who they were.

"Kassandra" Edward greeted her with a smirk

"Edward" She replied back, throwing him the key to open the gibbet.

Edward caught it effortlessly, freeing himself from the gibbet and jumping down.

"We don't have much time. I've come here as I need your help rescuing Mary and Anne, the barmaid from prison. I can't do it alone, I assume you're willing to help rescue your friends?" she asked

"Course. Whatever it takes to get the crew going and back to sea" Edward said smiling

"Good, I will distract them at the front gate, you head into the prison and find Mary and Anne- then meet me at the rowboat close to the docks once your finished" Kassandra instructed Edward on the plan

"Will do" Edward replied as he headed into Kingston Prison ready to free Mary and Anne.

Half an hour later, Edward came back to the boat, empty-handed awaiting him were Anne and Kassandra along with another pirate from the Jackdaw's crew waiting to row them back to the Jackdaw

"What happened? Where's Mary?" Kassandra and Anne asked at the same time

Edward looked at them guilty. "I'm sorry. She didn't make it. I carried her as far as I could, but she died before we could escape the prison. She's gone"

"No No No" Anne started to wail, as Kassandra soothed her murmuring "Shhh Anne it's alright. We'll get you to a safe place where you can have your baby. Everything's going to be alright"

Kassandra looked upon Edward giving him a sad look. She was upset of course, but it wasn't the first time. How many times had she lost somebody close to her in her 1000 years alive? Too many to count, Mary was just another one.

Just another friend who died before her and she had to mourn. I was like Anne at first, but now I'm used to it.

"Just give me some time. I'll catch up to you. Take Anne somewhere safe and I'll be back to the Jackdaw" Edward said waving and dismissing Kassandra

Kassandra gave him one last squeeze and sympathetic look on the shoulder before instructing the pirate

"You heard Kenway. Row us back to the Jackdaw"

"Got it" he nodded, springing quickly into action.

Edward watched as the boat vanished smaller and smaller into the distance, before he headed for Kingston's tavern ready to drown his sorrows over Mary.
