Misty stood atop the hill, the gentle breeze causing her hair to sway in the wind. The full moon was shining bright in the sky, casting an ethereal glow over the landscape below. She couldn't help but think about Ash, who was no longer with them. Memories of their adventures flooded her mind as she gazed up at the moon.

The thought of the upcoming tournament only added to her melancholy. As the Kanto Champion, she was eligible to enter, but the excitement of the competition was tinged with sadness. She wondered what it would have been like if Ash was still here, by her side, ready to take on the world together.

Misty took a deep breath, trying to push the memories and emotions aside. She knew that Ash would want her to compete, to give it her all, and make him proud. She closed her eyes and whispered, "I'll do it for you, Ash."

With renewed determination, Misty opened her eyes and gazed back up at the moon. The light seemed to be guiding her towards the future, urging her to take on whatever challenges lay ahead. She knew that she had to be strong, not just for herself but for all those who looked up to her as a champion.

Misty stood alone on the hill, lost in thought. She knew that the tournament would be tough, and that there were many powerful trainers out there who would be vying for the title of Pokémon Legend. But she was ready for the challenge. She had trained hard and had a deep bond with her Pokémon that she knew would carry her through the toughest battles.

As she looked out over the landscape, she felt a sense of calm wash over her. She knew that she wasn't truly alone. She had her Pokémon with her, and she had the memories of all the people she had met on her journey. Memories of Brock, who had always been there for her, and Ash, who had taught her to never give up on her dreams.

Misty smiled as she thought of all the people who had helped her along the way. She knew that they were all cheering her on, and that gave her the strength to keep going, even in the face of adversity.

She took a deep breath and raised her arms to the sky, feeling the wind rush past her. "I'm ready for anything," she said aloud. "I'll show everyone what it means to be a true Pokémon Legend!"

With a renewed sense of purpose, Misty turned and headed down the hill, ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead. She knew that the road ahead would be tough, but she was determined to make it to the top. And with her trusty Pokémon by her side, she knew that anything was possible.

As he looked out over the city, he couldn't help but think about his friends and family back home. He wondered how they were doing and if they were cheering him on. He felt a pang of homesickness, but he knew that he had to focus on the present.

Taking a deep breath, Ash closed his eyes and focused on his breathing. He pictured his Pokémon team in his mind, imagining them by his side, ready to take on any challenge. He felt a sense of calm wash over him, and he knew that he was ready for the tournament.

He opened his eyes, feeling a renewed sense of confidence. He knew that the road ahead would be tough, but he was determined to come out on top.

With a smile on his face, Ash made his way back inside his room. He knew that he had his Pokémon by his side and the support of his friends and family back home. With that thought in mind, he knew that he could conquer anything that came his way. Ash then lay on his bed.

Ash's thoughts shifted as he lay on his bed, his mind now consumed with guilt and regret. He couldn't stop thinking about Misty, the girl he had left behind. He had betrayed her by kissing Serena and telling her that he loved her the day before his supposed death. Now, as he lay here alive, Misty had no idea of the truth.

Ash's heart felt heavy as he thought about the pain he had caused Misty. He knew that she had always cared for him deeply, and he had been blind to her feelings. He had been so caught up in his own struggles that he had failed to see the love that was right in front of him.

As he lay there, he realized that he needed to make things right with Misty. He couldn't keep living with the guilt of what he had done. He needed to tell her the truth and face the consequences of his actions.

But how could he face her after what he had done? Would she even want to see him again? These thoughts raced through Ash's mind, causing him to feel even more anxious.

He knew that he couldn't keep avoiding this issue, though. He had to take responsibility for his actions and try to make amends with Misty.

Ash felt that Misty might be happier if she felt he was dead than if she felt he was alive as he hurt her a lot. He also thought he did not deserve to be in her life after all the pain he caused to her.

Ash's mind was in turmoil as he grappled with his conflicting emotions. On the one hand, he knew that he had hurt Misty deeply, and he didn't want to cause her any more pain. On the other hand, he couldn't bear the thought of living with the guilt and shame of what he had done.

For a long time, he lay on his bed, lost in thought. Ash then slept on his bed.

Present

Misty walked into the lobby of a nearby hotel, feeling tired from her journey. She walked up to the reception desk and smiled at the receptionist, who greeted her warmly.

"Good afternoon, how can I assist you?" the receptionist asked.

"I need to book a room for the tournament," Misty replied. "I'll be competing, and I need a comfortable place to stay."

The receptionist nodded, typing on the computer in front of her. "Of course. How long will you be staying?"

Misty thought for a moment. "I'll need the room for a while, from the day before the tournament until the day after," she said.

The receptionist nodded and continued typing. "We have a few options available. Our standard room has a queen-size bed and a private bathroom. We also offer deluxe rooms with additional amenities, such as a mini-fridge and a balcony with a view of the city."

Misty considered her options. "I think I'll go for the standard room, please," she said. "I don't need anything too fancy."

The receptionist smiled and handed Misty a form to fill out. "Very well. If you could just fill out this form with your information, we can get you checked in and settled in your room."

Misty filled out the form quickly, providing her name, contact information, and payment details. The receptionist checked her in and handed her a key card.

"Your room is on the fifth floor, room 512. Elevators are to your right," the receptionist said.

Misty thanked her and headed towards the elevators, feeling relieved to have a place to stay during the tournament. As the elevator doors closed, she took a deep breath, feeling excited for the challenges that lay ahead.

Misty stepped out of the elevator on the fifth floor and walked down the hallway to find her room. As she reached room 512, she slid the key card into the slot and opened the door.

The room was cozy and clean, with a queen-size bed, a TV, and a small desk. Misty sighed contentedly, feeling grateful for a comfortable place to rest during the tournament.

She walked over to the bed and sat down, looking around the room. As she glanced out the window, she saw a beautiful view of the city, with its towering buildings and bustling streets.

Misty smiled to herself, feeling excited about the upcoming battles. She knew that the competition would be tough, but she was ready for the challenge. With her trusty Pokemon by her side and her skills as a trainer, she was confident that she could win.

As she settled into the room, Misty felt grateful for Ash's help. She knew that he had helped her become a stronger trainer, and she was grateful for his support.

With a smile on her face, Misty lay down on the bed, feeling the exhaustion from her journey starting to catch up with her. She closed her eyes, feeling excited about the adventures that lay ahead.

May, Max, Bonnie, Iris, Cilan, and Trip were walking together in the bustling streets of Glaseado City. The sun was shining brightly, and the excitement in the air was palpable.

As they walked, May spoke up, her voice filled with determination. "We have a tournament to win," she said, looking around at her friends.

Max nodded in agreement. "Yeah, and we're going to need to work together if we want to come out on top," he said.

Bonnie chimed in. "I can't wait to see all the amazing Pokémon and trainers we'll be competing against!" she exclaimed.

Iris smiled. "It's going to be a tough competition, but we have what it takes to win," she said.

Cilan nodded. "Indeed. With our skills and teamwork, we can overcome any obstacle that comes our way," he said.

Trip, who had been quiet until now, spoke up. "I'm looking forward to testing my abilities against some of the best trainers in the world," he said.

May smiled at Trip. "You'll get your chance, Trip. But don't forget, we're all on the same team here," she said.

Trip nodded, understanding the importance of teamwork. "Right. Together, we can achieve anything," he said.

As they continued walking, the group felt a sense of camaraderie, knowing that they were all in this together. They were determined to give it their all in the tournament, and with their skills and teamwork, they felt confident that they could emerge victorious.

As they walked through the busy streets, they noticed other trainers also arriving for the tournament. Some of them had their Pokémon with them, while others were carrying backpacks filled with supplies.

Max pointed towards a group of trainers, "Look, they have a Pikachu with them. It's so cute!"

Bonnie rushed towards them, "Can we pet Pikachu, please?"

Iris laughed, "Let's not bother them, Bonnie. They must be busy getting ready for the tournament."

Cilan nodded, "Yes, we should focus on our preparations too. We can make new friends after the tournament."

May agreed, "He's right. We need to be focused and stay on top of our game. We have a lot of work to do."

As they continued walking, they could see various shops with banners advertising Pokémon supplies, food, and drinks. Trip suggested, "We should buy some supplies before heading back to our hotel rooms."

Iris added, "Yes, we need to make sure our Pokémon are well-fed and have everything they need for the tournament."

They all headed to a nearby store and bought supplies like Pokéballs, potions, and berries. After shopping, they decided to explore the city and enjoy some local food.

As they walked towards a restaurant, they could hear the sound of music and laughter coming from a nearby park. Curious, they headed in that direction and saw a group of trainers battling with their Pokémon.

Max exclaimed, "This is so cool! We should have a practice battle too."

May agreed, "Yes, let's battle each other to warm up for the tournament."

The group gathered in the park, and they had an exciting battle. It was a great way to practice their skills and bond with each other.

As they left the park, they felt more confident and ready for the tournament. With their teamwork, preparation, and determination, they knew they had a good chance of winning.

Misty couldn't believe her eyes when she saw Grusha, the Ice type gym leader, and Domino, a member of Team Rocket, walking and talking together. She was intrigued by their conversation about Blake, the Paldean Champion, and his good deeds.

Curiosity getting the best of her, Misty approached the two of them. "Excuse me," she said, "I couldn't help but overhear your conversation about Blake. What kind of good deeds has he been up to?"

Grusha and Domino turned to look at Misty, surprised by her sudden appearance. Grusha spoke first. "Oh, hello Misty. Blake has been busy helping out with the community, donating to various charities and organizations. He's always been a kind-hearted person, and it's no surprise that he's been doing good things for Paldea."

Domino nodded in agreement. "Yeah, I've heard that he's been really involved in environmental conservation efforts too. He's been working to reduce pollution and protect endangered species in the region."

Misty was impressed. "That's really great to hear," she said. "It's always inspiring to see trainers using their platform to make a positive impact on the world."

Grusha and Domino smiled. "Exactly," Grusha said. "Blake is a shining example of what a champion should be."

Misty nodded in agreement. "I hope to meet him and learn more about his work while I'm here," she said.

Domino then said "Misty, you might know me as a Team Rocket member but I left Team Rocket due to Giovanni abandoning me whon I got arrested during a Team Rocket mission. Blake then helped me turn my life around and I became Paldea's Dark-Ghost Elite Four member."

Misty was surprised to hear that Domino, whom she knew as a Team Rocket member, had left the organization and became an Elite Four member in Paldea. "That's quite a turnaround," Misty said, impressed by Domino's transformation.

Domino nodded. "It was all thanks to Blake," she said. "He saw something in me that I didn't see in myself and gave me a chance to start over. He believed in me, even when no one else did."

Grusha added, "Blake has a way of inspiring people to be their best selves. He's helped many trainers and people in Paldea, including me, to overcome their fears and achieve their dreams."

Misty was impressed by Blake's impact on the people around him. "He sounds like an incredible person," she said.

"He is," Domino said. "I owe everything to him. He's not just a champion, he's a true leader and a role model for us all."

Grusha nodded in agreement. "He's someone who leads by example, and he always puts others before himself. That's why he's so respected and admired in Paldea."

Misty couldn't help but feel inspired by their conversation. "I can't wait to meet him," she said. "He sounds like someone I could learn a lot from."

Grusha smiled. "I'm sure he'll be happy to meet you," she said. "And who knows, maybe you'll be inspired to make a difference in the world too."

As Misty walked away, she felt a sense of excitement about the possibility of meeting Blake and learning more about his work. She knew that Paldea was a special place, filled with trainers who were not only skilled but also passionate about making a positive impact on the world. And with people like Blake leading the way, she felt confident that anything was possible.

Misty was sitting in a taxi which was going to The Party Starter building. The League Committee rented out the entire building for the day to ensure the league champions, elites, leaders, and trainers who had been admitted into the tournament could socialise and get to know one another before the tournament began. Misty who was the Kanto Champion was eager to meet Blake who was the Paldea Champion.

Misty knew that Ash had been betrayed and killed by his friends as she heard May telling in a phone call about how she betrayed Ash along with some of Ash's friends and after that, Ash died. Misty hoped Blake would help her to bring justice for Ash.

Misty stepped out of the taxi in front of The Party Starter building. The excitement was building within her as she knew that she would finally get to meet Blake, the Paldean Champion. However, her thoughts kept wandering back to what she had heard May saying on the phone about Ash's death. Misty was still reeling from the shock of the news and couldn't believe that someone like May would betray Ash, let alone be involved in his death.

Misty walked into the building and was immediately greeted by Paul, the Ground type Elite Four member of Kanto. He gave her a nod of acknowledgment, and Misty returned the gesture.

"Hi Misty, how are you doing?" Paul asked, with a friendly smile.

Misty smiled back at him. "I'm doing well, thanks for asking. How about you?"

"I'm doing pretty good too. Excited for the tournament?" Paul replied, his eyes gleaming with excitement.

Misty nodded, feeling the same way. "Definitely. I've been looking forward to this for a while now. It's always fun to see how trainers from different regions match up against each other," she said.

Paul chuckled. "Yeah, it's like a clash of different styles and strategies. It's always interesting to see who comes out on top," he said.

Misty nodded in agreement. "Exactly. And with the level of talent that's been admitted to the tournament, it's going to be a real challenge," she said.

Paul nodded. "Yeah, it's not going to be easy. But I have faith in you, Misty. You're the Kanto Champion for a reason," he said, giving her a reassuring smile.

Misty felt a surge of confidence at Paul's words. "Thanks, Paul. That means a lot coming from you," she said, grateful for his support.

The two of them continued to chat for a while, discussing their past battles and the strategies they were planning to use in the tournament. As they talked, Misty felt her excitement for the tournament grow even stronger, and she knew that with her skills and the support of her friends and fellow trainers, she was ready to take on any challenge that came her way.

Misty approached the group of people who were standing near the refreshment table. As she got closer, she recognized Agatha, Lorelei, and Bruno, the Elite Four members from the Kanto region. She also noticed that they were talking to Domino, the former Team Rocket member who Misty had spoken to earlier.

Agatha, the Ghost type Elite Four member, was the first to notice Misty's approach. "Well, if it isn't the Kanto Champion herself," she said with a sly smile. "Come to rub your victory in our faces?"

Misty laughed. "No, of course not. I'm just here to meet and socialize with other trainers before the tournament begins."

Lorelei, the Ice type Elite Four member, chimed in. "Ah, I see. Well, we're always happy to welcome new faces to the league."

Bruno, the Fighting type Elite Four member, nodded in agreement. "Indeed. We're all here for the same reason, to prove ourselves as the best trainers in the world."

Domino then spoke "And it's great to see trainers from different regions socializing together. It helps to promote unity and understanding."

Misty smiled at Domino. "I couldn't agree more. It's always great to learn from other trainers and their experiences."

The group continued to chat, sharing stories about their journeys and discussing the upcoming tournament. Misty was grateful for the opportunity to meet and connect with other trainers, and she looked forward to what the future held.

Malva, Siebold, Drasna, and Wikstrom were gathered outside in the courtyard of the Party Starter building, discussing various topics related to Pokémon battles and the upcoming tournament.

Siebold, the Water type Elite Four member of Kalos, was speaking about his training regimen. "I've been focusing on honing my Pokémon's agility and speed," he said. "I think that will give me an edge in battles."

Drasna, the Dragon type Elite Four member of Kalos, nodded in agreement. "Yes, speed is important, but don't forget about power," she said. "My dragons have been training to deliver devastating blows to their opponents."

Wikstrom, the Steel type Elite Four member of Kalos, chimed in. "Speaking of power, my Steel types have been working on improving their defense," he said. "I want them to be able to withstand any attack that comes their way."

Malva, the Fire type Elite Four member of Kalos, added her thoughts. "And let's not forget about strategy," she said. "Knowing your opponent's weaknesses and exploiting them can be just as effective as having a strong and well-trained team."

As they continued their conversation, they also discussed some of their past battles and challenges they had faced in their journeys. They shared stories of close calls and triumphant victories, each member bringing a unique perspective and experience to the conversation.

Despite being from different regions and having different specialties, they all shared a common love for Pokémon battles and a desire to become the very best. As they laughed and joked with each other, it was clear that their shared passion for the sport had brought them together, and they were all excited to see what the tournament had in store.

Misty overheard the conversation and decided to join in. "You all seem very knowledgeable about battling," she said as she approached the group.

Malva turned to her and smiled. "Of course, we are Elite Four members," she said. "We've all had years of experience battling trainers from all over our respective regions."

Misty nodded. "As the Kanto Champion, I've had my fair share of battles as well," she said. "But it's always good to learn from others and see different strategies."

Siebold grinned. "Well, you're in the right place," he said. "The tournament will be full of talented trainers from all over the world. It's a great opportunity to test your skills and learn from others."

Drasna nodded. "Exactly," she said. "There's always something new to learn in Pokémon battles. Even the most experienced trainers can still be surprised."

Wikstrom added, "It's not just about being strong, it's about being adaptable and able to come up with creative solutions to unexpected situations."

Misty agreed. "That's very true," she said. "I've learned that firsthand in my battles. You never know what your opponent will throw at you, so it's important to stay on your toes."

As they continued their conversation, they talked about the different challenges they had faced in their battles, from unexpected type matchups to tricky status conditions. Despite their different backgrounds, they all shared a deep love and respect for the art of Pokémon battling.

Misty felt a sense of camaraderie with the group, and she was grateful for the opportunity to learn from some of the most talented trainers in the world. As they continued to chat and share stories, Misty couldn't help but feel excited for the upcoming tournament and the battles that awaited her.

Diantha, the Champion of the Kalos region, walked over to the group, greeting them with a warm smile. "Hello everyone," she said. "How are you all doing?"

The group responded with varying degrees of enthusiasm. Malva, always one to be a bit snarky, replied first. "Well, we were just discussing how we're going to crush the competition in the tournament," she said with a smirk.

Diantha chuckled. "Oh, is that all?" she said playfully. "I'm sure you'll all do just fine."

Misty, who had been relatively quiet up until this point, spoke up. "Diantha, I was wondering if you could tell me a bit about Blake," she said, her voice hesitant.

Diantha's expression softened. "Ah, Blake," she said. "He's a wonderful person, always looking out for the best interests of both people and Pokémon. He's been involved in a lot of charity work and conservation efforts, as you may have heard."

Misty nodded, feeling a sense of relief wash over her. "Yes, I heard about that from Grusha and Domino," she said. "I'm glad to hear that he's using his position as Champion to make a positive impact."

Diantha smiled. "Yes, he's truly an inspiration," she said. "I'm sure you'll get to meet him soon enough. He's here for the tournament as well."

Misty nodded again, feeling a renewed sense of determination. If Blake was as kind and compassionate as everyone was saying, then she knew she had to make sure justice was served for Ash. She just had to find the right moment to talk to him.

As the group continued to chat, the excitement of the upcoming tournament filled the air, and Misty couldn't help but feel a surge of energy and anticipation. She was ready to give it her all and show everyone what she was capable of.

Aaron, Flint, Lucian, Bertha, and Cynthia, the Elite Four members of Sinnoh, were gathered on the third floor of the Party Starter building, which had been transformed into a dance floor. The group was chatting and laughing as they swayed to the music.

Aaron, the Bug type Elite Four member, was talking about his recent trip to the Unova region. "I had the opportunity to battle some of the trainers there," he said. "They had some impressive strategies, but my bugs were able to hold their own."

Flint, the Fire type Elite Four member, nodded in agreement. "I know what you mean. I faced some tough trainers in Hoenn, but my Fire types were up for the challenge."

Lucian, the Psychic type Elite Four member, added his thoughts. "I think the key is to stay focused and never underestimate your opponent," he said. "That's how I was able to become a member of the Elite Four."

Bertha, the Ground type Elite Four member, chimed in. "And don't forget about training," she said. "My Pokémon are always ready for battle because I make sure they're in top physical condition."

Cynthia, the Sinnoh Champion, smiled as she listened to her colleagues. "You all have such great insights," she said. "But let's not forget about the importance of teamwork. When you have a strong bond with your Pokémon, you can achieve anything."

As the music changed to a faster beat, the group continued to dance and chat, their conversation flowing effortlessly from one topic to the next. It was clear that they all had a deep love and respect for the art of battling, and they were excited to see what the tournament had in store for them.

As the night wore on, the group took a break from dancing and sat down to catch their breath. Cynthia spoke up, "So, who do you all think will win the tournament this year?"

Aaron shrugged. "It's hard to say. There are so many strong trainers participating. But I have a feeling it will be someone from Sinnoh."

Flint grinned. "I'm rooting for the Fire types, of course. Maybe someone from Hoenn will take home the trophy this year."

Lucian smiled wryly. "As a Psychic type specialist, I have to remain neutral. But I will say that I'm excited to see what strategies the trainers will bring to the table."

Bertha nodded in agreement. "Indeed. It's always fascinating to see how trainers adapt their strategies based on their opponents' Pokémon and moves."

Cynthia looked around at the group, feeling grateful for their camaraderie. "No matter who wins, I know we will all give it our best. And we'll be there to support each other every step of the way."

The group nodded in agreement, and with that, they got up to dance once again. As the music swelled around them, they moved in perfect harmony, each lost in their own thoughts and dreams of victory.

As the night wore on, the group continued to dance and chat, the energy of the party still going strong. They shared stories of past battles and victories, discussing the strengths and weaknesses of different Pokémon types.

Flint laughed as he recounted a particularly intense battle against a Water type trainer. "It was a close call, but my Fire types pulled through in the end," he said.

Aaron nodded, "I had a similar experience with a Grass type trainer. But my bugs were able to outmaneuver their moves and come out on top."

Lucian shared his own battle story, "I faced a Dark type trainer who had some tricky moves up their sleeve. But by staying focused and analyzing their strategy, I was able to overcome their obstacles."

Bertha chimed in, "I faced a challenging Flying type trainer once. But my Ground types proved to be their downfall, with their moves proving to be super effective."

Cynthia listened intently to their stories, taking mental notes of their strategies and tactics. She knew that they would all have to bring their A-game if they wanted to make it to the top of the tournament.

Grimsley, Shauntal, Marshal, Caitlin, and Iris, the Elite Four members of Unova, had gathered on the second floor of the Party Starter building, where various games such as Pokémon pool, darts, and a miniature Pokémon baseball field were set up.

Grimsley, the Dark type Elite Four member, was currently playing Pokémon pool with Shauntal, the Ghost type Elite Four member. "Nice shot," he said, as Shauntal expertly sunk one of her balls. "You're really good at this."

Shauntal smiled. "Thanks, I've had a lot of practice. I find it helps me hone my focus and concentration, which is essential in battles."

Marshal, the Fighting type Elite Four member, had joined Caitlin, the Psychic type Elite Four member, at the miniature Pokémon baseball field. "I never knew they had a game like this," he said, as he tossed a small ball towards the pitcher's mound.

Caitlin nodded. "Yes, it's a unique way to blend our love for Pokémon battles with other activities. And it's a great way to train our hand-eye coordination."

Meanwhile, Iris, the Dragon type Champion of Unova, was trying her hand at darts. She had always been fascinated by the precision and accuracy required to hit the bullseye. "This is harder than it looks," she muttered to herself, as she aimed for the center of the board.

As they played and chatted, they shared stories of their travels, their battles, and their training regimens. Despite their different specialties, they all shared a love for Pokémon and a desire to improve themselves.

After a while, they took a break from their games and sat down to rest. "It's great to have a chance to unwind like this," said Marshal, as he sipped on a glass of lemonade.

Caitlin nodded in agreement. "Yes, it's important to take a break from battling and have some fun once in a while. It can be a great way to recharge and come back stronger."

The group chatted and laughed, enjoying each other's company and the relaxed atmosphere of the second floor. It was clear that they were all looking forward to the tournament and the challenges it would bring, but for now, they were content to enjoy each other's company and have some fun.

As they sat and chatted, Grimsley brought up a topic that had been on his mind. "Have any of you noticed how much the tournament has grown in popularity over the years?" he asked.

Shauntal nodded. "Yes, it's been amazing to see how many trainers from all over the world come to participate."

Iris chimed in. "It's not just the number of participants that's impressive, but the level of skill as well. It seems like every year, the trainers get better and better."

Marshal nodded. "It's a testament to the hard work and dedication of trainers everywhere. And it's a great opportunity for us to showcase our skills and inspire others to strive for greatness."

Caitlin smiled. "Indeed. It's also a chance for us to learn from each other and improve our own strategies and techniques."

As they talked, they noticed some of the other guests on the second floor trying out the various games. A group of young trainers were gathered around the Pokémon pool table, cheering and high-fiving each other as they made shots.

Shauntal smiled at the sight. "It's great to see so many young trainers getting into the spirit of the tournament."

Grimsley nodded. "Yes, it reminds me of when I was just starting out on my journey. The excitement and passion for battling were all-consuming."

Iris raised an eyebrow. "Do you ever miss those days? Before you became an Elite Four member?"

Grimsley shrugged. "Sometimes. But I wouldn't trade my experiences and the knowledge I've gained for anything. And who knows, maybe one day I'll step down from my position and go back to being a full-time trainer."

The group fell silent for a moment, lost in their own thoughts. But then Shauntal spoke up. "Regardless of where we are in our journeys, one thing is for certain: we all share a love and passion for Pokémon battles. And that's what brings us together."

The others nodded in agreement, and with that, they resumed their games and conversation, enjoying the camaraderie and the fun of the moment.

As the evening wore on, the second floor of the Party Starter building became more crowded. Trainers from all over the world had arrived to participate in the tournament, and many of them had come to the second floor to relax and socialize.

Iris had joined a group of trainers at the miniature Pokémon baseball field, where they were taking turns pitching and batting. She found it refreshing to engage in something other than battling, and she was enjoying the opportunity to get to know some of the other trainers.

Marshal had moved on to playing darts with some of the other Elite Four members from different regions. As they played, they swapped stories about their battles and the various challenges they had faced as trainers.

Grimsley had joined Shauntal at the Pokémon pool table again, and they were both playing against a pair of trainers from Sinnoh. The game was close, but Grimsley and Shauntal managed to come out on top.

After the game, they sat down at one of the tables and ordered some snacks. "You know, I always find it interesting how different regions have different customs and traditions when it comes to battling," Grimsley said.

Shauntal nodded. "Yes, and even within the same region, there can be variations in battling style and strategy."

Iris had joined them at the table, and she chimed in. "That's what makes the tournament so exciting. We get to see all these different approaches to battling and learn from each other."

Caitlin had also joined them, and she smiled. "Indeed. And it's not just about battling. We can also learn a lot from each other when it comes to training and caring for our Pokémon."

As they chatted, they noticed a group of young trainers huddled around one of the dartboards. One of the trainers, a boy with a nervous look on his face, was attempting to throw a dart at the board. The other trainers were cheering him on, but he seemed hesitant.

Iris stood up from the table and approached the group. "Hey there," she said with a smile. "Can I help you with something?"

The boy looked up at her, his eyes wide. "I-I'm not very good at darts," he said.

Iris chuckled. "That's okay. It takes practice. Would you like some tips?"

The boy nodded eagerly, and Iris spent the next few minutes showing him how to hold and throw the dart. The other trainers gathered around, watching intently.

In no time, the boy was hitting the board with precision. The other trainers cheered, and the boy grinned from ear to ear.

Iris returned to the table, feeling a sense of satisfaction. "That was fun," she said. "It's always nice to be able to help someone out."

The others nodded, and they continued their conversation, enjoying the camaraderie and the fun of the moment. As the night wore on, they all knew that the tournament would bring challenges and battles, but for now, they were content to relax and enjoy each other's company.

Lance, the Champion of Johto, had invited the other Johto Elite Four members, Will, Karen, Koga, and Bruno, to join him and Misty, the Kanto Champion, at the Party Starter building. They had gathered in one of the private rooms, where a long table was set up with snacks and refreshments.

Lance began the conversation. "So, how have things been in Kanto, Misty? Any exciting battles lately?"

Misty smiled. "Well, I did have a tough match against a young trainer who was just starting out. But it was a great opportunity to see the potential in a new generation of trainers."

Karen, the Dark type Elite Four member, spoke up. "I can relate to that. It's always exciting to see new talent emerge."

Koga, the Poison type Elite Four member, nodded. "Indeed. And it's our duty to help guide and mentor them as they navigate their way through the world of Pokémon battles."

Bruno, the Fighting type Elite Four member, chimed in. "Speaking of mentoring, Lance, have you had any apprentices lately?"

Lance smiled. "Yes, actually. I've been working with a young Dragon type trainer who has shown great potential. It's been rewarding to watch him grow and improve."

Will, the Psychic type Elite Four member, raised an eyebrow. "Dragon type, huh? That's an interesting choice."

Lance shrugged. "I've always had a soft spot for Dragon types. They're powerful and versatile, but they require a lot of patience and skill to master."

Misty nodded in agreement. "I can attest to that. Dragon types have always been a challenge to battle against, but they're also incredibly rewarding to work with."

The conversation continued, with the group sharing stories and insights about their experiences as trainers and champions. Despite the friendly competition between the two regions, they all shared a deep respect and admiration for each other's skills and achievements.

As the conversation flowed, the Elite Four members and champions couldn't help but compare the different training methods and styles between the two regions.

Will leaned forward, intrigued. "Misty, I've always wondered, what's the Kanto region's approach to training Pokémon? How does it differ from Johto's?"

Misty took a sip of her drink, thinking for a moment. "Well, I can't speak for the whole region, but I know that in Cerulean City, we focus a lot on water-type Pokémon. We have a lot of facilities and programs that help trainers develop their skills in that area."

Koga nodded. "That's interesting. In Fuchsia City, we have a similar approach, but with Poison types. We have a lot of experts in the field who can teach specialized techniques and strategies."

Lance spoke up. "In Johto, we have a more balanced approach, but with a focus on the unique strengths of each type. For example, the Dragon's Den in Blackthorn City is a great place to hone Dragon type skills."

Karen furrowed her brow. "But doesn't that limit your options? I mean, what if a trainer wants to specialize in a different type?"

Lance shook his head. "Not necessarily. It's just a starting point. We encourage trainers to explore and experiment with different types and see how they complement each other. That's where the real creativity and innovation come in."

Bruno smiled. "That's a great approach. After all, the ultimate goal is to build a strong and versatile team that can handle any challenge."

Misty grinned. "Exactly. And I think that's something we can all agree on, regardless of region or type preference."

The conversation continued late into the night, with the group sharing tips, strategies, and stories of their adventures. It was a reminder that, despite their differences, they all shared a common passion for Pokémon battles and the bonds they formed with their beloved partners.

As the night wore on, the group's conversation turned to more personal topics. Koga, usually reserved, opened up about his upbringing in a family of ninja trainers and the pressure he felt to live up to their legacy.

"I used to think that I had to be the strongest, the best, to make my family proud," he said. "But now I realize that it's not about being the best. It's about doing what you love and sharing that passion with others."

Will nodded in agreement. "I couldn't have said it better myself. I always tell my students that the most important thing is to enjoy the journey. The battles, the friendships, the memories – that's what makes it all worth it."

Karen raised her glass in a toast. "Here's to the journey, then. And to the bonds we form along the way."

The group clinked glasses and smiled at each other, united in their love for Pokémon and the joy it brought to their lives.

Kiawe, Sophocles, Lana, Lillie, and Gladion had gathered on the second floor of the Party Starter building, where they found a variety of games and activities to enjoy. As they looked around, they couldn't help but be impressed by the range of options available.

Sophocles was particularly intrigued by the miniature Pokémon baseball field. "Wow, this is amazing! I've never seen anything like it before."

Lana nodded in agreement. "I know, right? It's like a whole new level of Pokémon battles."

Kiawe, the Fire type Elite Four member, grinned. "Well, I'm always up for a challenge. Who's ready to face me on the field?"

Lillie, the Fairy type Elite Four member, chuckled. "Not me, that's for sure. I think I'll stick to the pool table."

Gladion, the Dark type Champion, surveyed the room with a raised eyebrow. "So many choices, so little time. What do you recommend, Sophocles?"

Sophocles thought for a moment before pointing to the dartboard. "Let's try our luck with darts. I hear it's a great way to relieve stress."

Lana smiled. "Sounds good to me. And it'll be a good opportunity to hone our aim."

The group made their way over to the dartboard, and after a few practice rounds, they began to play in earnest. As they competed, they chatted about their experiences as trainers and champions.

Kiawe recounted a particularly challenging battle he had with a young trainer who specialized in Water types. "It was like nothing I had ever faced before. But in the end, I was able to overcome his strategy with some creative thinking."

Lillie nodded. "I know what you mean. It's always rewarding to face a tough opponent and come out on top."

Gladion spoke up. "Speaking of tough opponents, I've been working on my own skills lately. I want to make sure I'm ready for any challengers who come my way."

Sophocles grinned. "I'm sure you'll be more than ready. And who knows, maybe someday one of us will give you a run for your money."

The conversation continued as they played their games, each member sharing their own unique perspective and insight. Despite their individual differences, they all shared a deep love and respect for the world of Pokémon battles.

As the games continued, the conversation shifted towards their personal lives and the challenges they faced outside of the Pokémon world. Lillie, who had previously been quiet, spoke up.

"You know, being an Elite Four member has been such a huge responsibility. It's been tough to balance my duties with my personal life."

Sophocles nodded sympathetically. "I hear you. I've been struggling with that too. But at least we have each other to lean on."

Gladion chimed in. "That's right. We're all here to support each other, no matter what."

Kiawe added, "And let's not forget the bonds we have with our Pokémon. They're always there for us, no matter what challenges we face."

Lana smiled, "Absolutely. I wouldn't be where I am today without my trusty Primarina by my side."

As they continued to talk and play their games, they all felt a sense of camaraderie and support. They were all united by their love of Pokémon battles and the bonds they had formed with their partners. And even though they came from different backgrounds and regions, they all shared a common goal: to be the best trainers they could be and to help others on their own journeys.

As the night wore on, the group found themselves engrossed in their conversations and games, completely unaware of the passing time. They shared stories of their past battles, their toughest opponents, and their most memorable victories.

Kiawe told the story of how he had faced off against a powerful Charizard in his very first Gym battle. "I was so nervous, but I knew I had to stay focused. In the end, my Turtonator pulled through for me."

Sophocles laughed, "I remember my first battle too. It was against a trainer who specialized in Electric types, and I was so unprepared. But now, I know how to handle those types with ease."

Lana smiled, "It's amazing how much we've all grown since we first started on our journeys. And yet, there's still so much to learn."

Lillie nodded, "That's what I love about this world. There's always something new to discover, some new strategy or technique to master."

Gladion looked around at his friends and felt a sense of gratitude. "I'm so glad we can all be here together, sharing our experiences and learning from each other. It's a rare thing to find such a supportive group of people."

Drake, Phoebe, Glacia, Sidney, and Steven were gathered in the spacious ballroom located on the third floor of the grand building. The room was elegantly decorated with crystal chandeliers hanging from the ceiling, intricate marble pillars adorning the corners of the room, and large mirrors lining the walls.

Drake was standing in front of a large stereo system, selecting songs for the evening's dance. "How about some classic rock to start the night off?" he suggested.

Phoebe, sitting on a nearby couch, nodded in agreement. "That sounds great, Drake. I love dancing to classic rock!"

Glacia, who was looking out one of the windows at the beautiful view of the city, turned around and chimed in. "I agree, but let's not forget some upbeat pop songs too. We want everyone to have a good time."

Sidney, who had been inspecting the quality of the dance floor, turned to the group. "Speaking of having a good time, have we decided on any dance competitions for the night?"

Steven, who had been quiet up until this point, spoke up. "Yes, we have. We're going to have a couples dance competition, and the winners will receive a special prize."

Drake nodded in approval. "Sounds like a great idea. I'll make sure to announce it later."

As the group continued their discussion, the music began to play, and a few guests started to arrive, eager to start the night off with some dancing.

The room was soon filled with the sound of music and the chatter of guests, all dressed in their finest attire. Drake took the stage as the emcee for the night, welcoming everyone and announcing the dance competition.

"Welcome, everyone, to this evening's dance party. We have some great music lined up for you, and later in the night, we'll be having a couples dance competition with a special prize for the winners."

The crowd cheered in excitement, and Drake continued to play a variety of classic rock and upbeat pop songs to keep the energy high.

As the night went on, the guests danced and mingled, enjoying the luxurious ballroom and the stunning views of the city. The dance floor was filled with couples showing off their best moves, each hoping to win the prize.

Phoebe and Glacia were sitting at a table, chatting and sipping on their drinks, watching the dance competition unfold.

"I think that couple over there is going to win," Glacia said, pointing towards a pair on the dance floor. "They're so in sync!"

Phoebe nodded in agreement. "Yes, they're definitely the ones to beat. But who knows, there might be a surprise winner."

As the night continued, the competition grew more intense, with couples showing off their best moves and the audience cheering them on.

Finally, it was time for the winners to be announced. Drake took the stage once again, microphone in hand.

"Ladies and gentlemen, we have our winners! Please give a round of applause to the couple who showed us the best moves of the night."

The crowd erupted in cheers as the winning couple made their way to the stage to receive their prize.

As the night came to a close, the guests left the ballroom with smiles on their faces, having enjoyed a night of music, dancing, and fun. The group of friends, Drake, Phoebe, Glacia, Sidney, and Steven, gathered once again, congratulating each other on a successful event.

"Well done, everyone," Steven said, raising his glass. "Let's do this again soon."

The others clinked their glasses in agreement, looking forward to the next opportunity to dance and celebrate together.

Leon was looking at the stars and the sky. He then remembered a memory.

Flashback

The man in charge of the evacuation team was shouting into his wrist, looking concerned and anxious. Leon watched him for a moment before he finally spoke up, "What's going on?"

The man turned to Leon and said, "The volcano is erupting. We need to evacuate the Pokémon as quickly as possible."

Leon nodded, understanding the gravity of the situation. "Are you sure that the volcano is erupting? Are you positive?"

The man turned back to his wrist, listening to something before yelling into it, "Then evacuate the Pokémon! We can't afford to take chances! Ho-oh is already out? That's a small piece of good news!"

Leon raised an eyebrow at the mention of Ho-oh. "What do you mean it's been out for weeks? So it was able to tell it's home was erupting? That's good news, maybe it evacuated some Pokémon along with it!"

The man nodded before turning to Leon. "How far out are we Lieutenant?"

The pilot of the chopper interjected, "Five minutes, tops!"

The man in charge of the evacuation team turned back to his wrist again, listening to something before he shouted, "Sir! We can't go any closer! We're risking the entire vessel and the crew if we get closer!"

Leon took a deep breath, thinking about their next plan of action. It was clear that they would have to come up with a new plan as they got closer to the volcano. The situation was far more dire than he had originally thought.

Leon and his team had retreated to a safe distance, but the situation was still critical. The volcano was erupting violently, and the ash and smoke made it almost impossible to see anything. Suddenly, Leon heard a scream, and he knew that he had to investigate. He quickly called on his trusted partner, Charizard, to help him out.

Leon turned to Charizard and said, "Charizard, I'm putting this mask on. I just heard something down in the volcano. We need to go in!" Charizard roared in agreement, and they flew down into the volcano's depths.

As they descended, the smoke grew thicker and thicker, and Leon struggled to see anything. But he pressed on, his heart racing with anticipation. After what felt like an eternity, Leon finally saw something moving in the distance. He couldn't tell who or what it was, but he knew that he had to investigate.

He turned to Charizard and yelled, "Charizard! Go help those people get out of here!" Charizard roared in response and flew towards the group of people.

As Leon was trying to assess the condition of the figure, he couldn't help but notice that the person was breathing faintly. "This guy is still breathing," he exclaimed in disbelief. "But his skull is nearly completely broken!" Leon wondered how the person managed to survive such an injury and smoke inhalation.

Just then, Charizard landed beside them, and Leon noticed that the Pokemon was looking intently at the injured person. "Charizard, did you know this guy?" Leon asked, trying to make sense of the Pokemon's behavior. However, he received no answer, and Charizard just continued to stare.

Leon then took a closer look at the person's face and was taken aback. "Wait a minute, I know who this is!" he exclaimed. "It's Ash Ketchum!" Leon couldn't believe that he had found Ash in such a condition.

Without wasting any more time, Leon hoisted Ash onto his back and called out to Charizard. "Let's get out of here, Charizard! We need to take Ash to a hospital immediately." Charizard let out a loud roar, signaling that it was ready to take off.

Leon's heart raced as he heard Ash's weak voice. He couldn't believe that the young trainer was still alive despite his injuries. He quickly responded, "Ash, don't worry. We'll get you somewhere safe and call for help. Just hang in there, okay?" But Ash's words surprised him, and he asked in disbelief, "Brock? You want to go to Brock for medical attention? But why?"

Ash struggled to speak, and Leon could see the pain in his eyes. He listened carefully as Ash whispered his request. He couldn't believe what he was hearing. Ash wanted to go to Brock, a former Pokémon Gym Leader, instead of a professional doctor. Leon was torn between following Ash's request and seeking medical help from a hospital.

"Ash, are you sure? We can get you to a hospital quickly. Brock is not a professional doctor, and you need urgent medical attention," Leon said, trying to reason with Ash.

But Ash was firm in his request. "P-p-please... g-get Ash t-to Brock... T-t-tell nobody th-that you have him… p-please…" Ash's voice trailed off as he lost consciousness.

Leon knew he had to act quickly. He decided to follow Ash's request and take him to Brock. He tossed off his mask and ordered Charizard to take them to Pewter City in Kanto. "Charizard, we're heading to Pewter City. Can you get us there as fast as you can?" Leon said with urgency.

Charizard roared in agreement and took off, flying at an incredible speed towards Pewter City. Leon held Ash tightly in his arms, praying that they would reach Brock in time.
