Ratchet never came back. (Y/N) is left to take care of the twins alone, dreading the day they ask about their dad; until one day...
(Y/N) waited for Ratchet to return and dreaded having the babies without him. That wasn't as hard as raising the twins for seven years, fearing Ratchet was killed, and telling the kids what happened to their dad.
Little did (Y/N) know her son and daughter met Bumblebee and a few other Autobots until the kids ask if they could go to a friend's house. (Y/N) questions why their friend lives at a junkyard and insists on going with them to meet their friend.
"Look, I know it seems strange a kid lives in a scrapyard, but it's not bad," Denny argues, "look around for yourself."
"Did you tell him?" (Y/S) whispers to Russell.
"No, they'll be surprised."
The twins watch their mom walk around the junkyard, eagerly waiting for her to find Bumblebee's alt mode. Unaware their mom knows about the Autobots.
"Deni, where'd you get this car?" (Y/N) asks as she walks around Bumblebee, looking for the Autobot insignia.
"Uh, it's been so long, I don't remember."
Meanwhile, Bumblebee is trying not to transform.
She knows about us; it's not blowing our cover. Bumblebee argues with himself.
The others are close to the humans as Bee decides to transform. The twins weren't expecting Bee to transform and scream, resulting in Sideswipe to scream and jump into Strongarm's arms.
"Bumblebee?" (Y/N) exclaims.
Denny quickly starts telling the story of how he met Bee and what's been going on. (Y/N) can't believe her kids met the Autobots without her introducing them and how well seven-year-olds kept this a secret. He knew right away (Y/N) and Ratchet had kids together, but the kids never talked about their dad.
The war has been over. I never heard Ratchet died. What happened to you, Ratchet? Bumblebee worries.
Rather than ask in case it is hard for (Y/N) to answer, Bumblebee gas the others introduce themselves to (Y/N). The twins love hearing about what the others did before ending up on Earth and don't mind hearing the stories again.
Twenty minutes pass before two men walk over to them. Everyone but the twins knows Optimus and Ratchet are here. Ratchet sees (Y/N) and notices how the two kids sitting next to Russell look like her. Memories of the time they met, their first date, and the first time they did it go through Ratchet's mind.
Did she move on? Ratchet winders, or did I leave her to raise our kids alone?
(Y/N) sees Ratchet, runs over to him, and hugs him as the twins watch, confused as their mom is also crying.
Even though she doesn't have to tell them their dad is dead, it's still hard for (Y/N) to explain that Ratchet is their dad. They can hold off on explaining Ratchet is also an Autobot, and they are hybrids.
Though the kids are a little confused, they ask if Ratchet can come home with them. Both (Y/N) and Ratchet are happy the kids said 'dad.'
After the kids show Ratchet around the house and are told to get ready for bed, Ratchet has the opportunity to talk to (Y/N).
"I'm so sorry," he apologizes, "it was supposed to be until Magnus was healed, but—."
"It's ok, Ratchet."
"No, it's not. I had the ground bridge. I should have told you I'm needed longer. I would have found out you're pregnant and could have found a way to be there for you. Now our kids have been used to not having their dad around."
"Well, now you're here, and... perhaps we can do a re-do?"
"I... It's too soon (Y/N). I swear I still love you, but the twins need to get to know me and get used to seeing me. I don't think giving them a sibling now is a good idea," Ratchet shows (Y/N) the condoms, "but we can have a little fun."
(Y/N) doesn't question why Ratchet has condoms. She lets Ratchet carry her to the bedroom.
Ratchet puts her on the bed, hoping to replay the first time minus disappearing for seven years and getting (Y/N) pregnant. Unknown to Ratchet, (Y/N) refused to move on and have fun with another mech until he hears how much she's enjoying the fun.
"I love you," Ratchet pants as he cuddles with (Y/N).
"I love you, too."
The two fall asleep, hoping they can start the life together they should have seven years ago.
