Misty knew that Ash betrayed her but still she loved him. Misty then felt that even if Ash betrayed her, he would still want her to move on and not to be sad. Misty then approached Blake, whom Misty did not know was Ash.

Meanwhile, Blake was surprised that she was not having any apprehension of going with him due to her loving Ash. He knew that Misty loved Ash and was betrayed by him but still loved him even after his supposed death of which Misty thought that Ash was dead but then he realized that he was a selfless individual who wanted good for Misty even if he cheated her and so since she understood that, she was turning a new page and approaching him.

Misty then reached Blake who nodded at her but inside felt that she would make him to be part of her life. Misty then asked Blake "You are a very kind person. Could we go together on the date?"

Ash was taken aback by Misty's sudden approach, and he felt a mix of emotions running through him. He was grateful for Misty asking him, but he also felt guilty for deceiving her. As Blake, he had to put up a façade and pretend not to know her, which was a painful experience for him.

He looked at Misty with a sense of confusion and disbelief, wondering why she would ask him to go on a date. However, he quickly realized that Misty didn't know he was Ash, and he felt a sense of relief knowing that he could spend some time with her without revealing his true identity.

"Sure, Misty," Blake replied, trying to sound as calm and collected as possible. "I'd love to go with you to the dance."

Misty's face lit up with excitement, and Ash couldn't help but feel a sense of joy seeing her happy. He knew that he had hurt her deeply, and he was glad that she was able to move on and find happiness with someone else, even if it was just for one night.

Blake couldn't help but feel a sense of guilt gnawing at him. He knew that he was living a lie, and that he had to tell Misty the truth eventually. But for now, he was just happy to be with her, even if it was just for a short while.

Leon walked and reached Blake and Misty. Leon knew that Blake was Ash in disguise and he said "Blake, I hope you have a good time with Misty." and Blake nodded and said "Yes, thank you for that."

As Leon walked away, Blake breathed a sigh of relief, knowing that he had managed to keep his secret identity hidden. Blake could see the hope in her eyes, and he knew he couldn't disappoint her.

"Of course, Misty," he reiterated with a smile. "I'd be happy to go with you to the dance."

Misty's face lit up with joy, and Blake felt a twinge of guilt. He knew that he was not the person Misty thought he was, but he was determined to make it up to her. He had always been kind to Dawn and Serena, but he knew he needed to be even kinder to Misty, especially after what he had done to her.

He vowed to himself that he would not tease her or take her for granted. He would be a good listener, pay attention to her needs and feelings, and treat her with the respect and love she deserved. He hoped that by doing so, he could make up for the hurt he had caused her in the past.

As Blake and Misty walked out of the meeting room, he put his arm around her shoulder, and she leaned into him. Blake felt a warm feeling in his heart, knowing that he was doing the right thing by being there for her. He hoped that their date would be the beginning of a new chapter in their relationship, one built on trust, honesty, and mutual respect.

Blake felt a surge of adrenaline as he addressed the audience. He loved being in the spotlight and making people happy. He looked around and saw that everyone was having a blast. He decided to pump up the energy even more. "Heyyyy that's what I'm talking about! Tonight, I have one request from all of you: I want you to Party on! From tomorrow on, it's serious battle training and tournament talk for good! So let's chill out, have a good time, break it down and build it up! Kick it up DJ!" The crowd cheered loudly when he finished his tiny speech and Blake hopped down to a rather surprised looking Misty.

Misty was stunned by Blake's performance. She wondered if he was hiding anything else from her. She felt a mix of admiration and confusion as he approached her. He laughed at her reaction. "What? I can yell at people!" She giggled. "I guess I just didn't expect you to be able to raise you voice at all."

Blake smirked and playfully wrapped his arm around her waist, catching her off guard. He felt a spark of attraction as he pulled her closer to him. He liked her a lot. She was beautiful, smart and funny. She also loved Pokémon as much as he did. He wanted to impress her and make her happy. He also wanted to kiss her, but he wasn't sure if she felt the same way.

"Hey only I can be smart with people tonight." She whispered in his ear softly. "Mmm is that so?" He whispered back. "Very much." Both looked at one another for a good twenty seconds before they simultaneously burst out laughing at the same time. They felt a connection as they shared their laughter. They also felt a tension as they gazed into each other's eyes. She giggled. "Your sense of humor needs work."

He responded with a playful tone in his voice. "My dancing is better than my stockpile of jokes." He held out his hand to her and grinned. His eyes sparkled with mischief and charm. "Care to see?" She smiled and took his hand. She felt a surge of adrenaline as he led her to the dance floor. She really enjoyed this side of Blake. On one hand, you had the silent, mystic, and rather cunning version of Blake that the public knew.

He was a master of disguise and deception, always keeping his true identity hidden from his enemies. But, on the other, you had a lively, happy, and rather sexy version of him that got Misty a little excited. He was fun-loving and adventurous, always making her laugh and feel alive. He was also handsome and fit, with a muscular body that moved gracefully to the rhythm of the music. A solid two hours passed from the time they arrived. They were completely drained from the intense dancing, and were looking for a break.

They got one… in a way. Slow music came on, a song for couples. Ash and Misty, although they hadn't spent all of their time there together, found themselves staring at one another as the song began. It was a romantic ballad that spoke of love and devotion. He held out his hand to her and she took it with a soft smile. They felt a connection as their fingers intertwined. They began slowly dancing, Ash's hands on her waist and Misty's arms wrapped around his neck. They moved closer to each other until their bodies were touching softly. His smile was getting wider and wider as the dance went on.

He spoke quietly in her ear. "You really do look amazing tonight Misty." He complimented her sincerely. He admired how she looked in her elegant dress that hugged her curves perfectly. He noticed how her eyes shone with happiness and how her lips curved into a sweet smile.

Misty blushed at his words. "I'm sure I'm not that pretty." She said modestly. She didn't think she could compare to the other women at the party who wore expensive jewelry and designer clothes.

He nodded slightly and spoke aloud so she could hear him clearly over the music. "You're right." She looked at him in surprise and confusion. Did he just agree with her? Did he think she was ugly? "You're beautiful, not pretty." He clarified quickly before she could get upset or offended. "You shouldn't berate yourself." He added gently. He wanted her to see herself as he saw her: a gorgeous woman who radiated warmth and kindness. Her blush intensified at his words. She felt flattered and touched by his compliment.

He smiled warmly and removed a hand on her waist to gently stroke a strand of her hair away from her face that had slipped in front of the veil. He tucked it behind her ear with care. He gazed into her eyes with affection and admiration. Domino was MIA: she had left them alone to enjoy their moment without interruption or interference.

He spoke quietly. "Misty, I'd be lying if I said I felt this way about other girls… I don't. I honestly don't have too much experience in this department as well… but, I need to know. Are you having a good time tonight?" His voice was soft and sincere, his brown eyes gazing into hers with a hint of nervousness. He had been a perfect gentleman all night, making her laugh and feel comfortable. He was wearing a black jacket and jeans, and his spiky black hair was slightly tousled by the breeze.

Her eyes widened and she happily hugged him. "Blake, I've had an amazing time with you! And…" She looked down shyly. "I'd be lying if I said I wasn't thinking about you in the same way. I think you're a great guy Blake… maybe someone I want to get to know further. T-that is if you want to!" She added quickly. She had enjoyed every moment of their date. She felt a warm flutter in her chest whenever he smiled at her or touched her hand.

Present

"MAY THE FIRST BATTLE, BEGIN!" Volkner shouted with excitement as he gripped a pokeball in his hand. He was the Gym Leader of Sunyshore City and the master of electric-type Pokémon. He had been waiting for this moment for a long time, to prove himself as one of the best trainers in the world. He threw his pokeball into the air and yelled, "Luxray, let's light up the battlefield!" The electric and lion-like Pokémon emerged from the ball with a loud roar. It had yellow fur with black stripes and a blue star on its tail. It had piercing blue eyes that scanned the field for its opponent. It was Volkner's ace and partner, and it shared his confidence and passion.

Domino gracefully took a pokeball out of her pocket and called out with a stern voice. She was the Dark-Ghost Elite Four member of Paldea, a region far away from Sinnoh. She had blonde hair that was tied in a ponytail and wore a black dress with purple accents. She had a calm and composed demeanor, but she was also ruthless and cunning. She had come to this tournament to challenge the title of Pokémon Legend, the highest honor for any trainer. She tossed her pokeball into the air and said, "Liepard, show them your claws!" The dark and feline Pokémon appeared from the ball with a low growl. It had purple fur with yellow spots and a pink flower on its forehead. It had green eyes that glared at its opponent with contempt. It was Domino's trusted ally and weapon, and it followed her commands without hesitation.

Meanwhile, back in the seats, the Sinnoh Elites had different reactions. Cynthia commented aloud. She was the Champion of Sinnoh and the master of various types of Pokémon. She had long blonde hair that reached her waist and wore a black dress with white stripes. She had a gentle and friendly personality, but she was also very intelligent and powerful. She watched the battle with interest and said, "Volkner has always been confident in his abilities, let's see if he can back it up."

Lucian nodded in agreement. He was the Psychic Elite Four member of Sinnoh and the master of mind games. He had short blue hair and wore glasses and a purple suit. He had a serious and stoic personality, but he was also very respectful and wise. He had come to this tournament to test his skills against other trainers from different regions. He analyzed the battle with his keen eyes and said, "Yes, and he certainly has the type advantage in this match. But Domino is known for her strategic thinking, so it won't be an easy win."

The referee raised both flags once more and yelled. "BATTLE COMMENCE!" He was an official appointed by the Pokémon League to oversee the tournament. He wore a black uniform with white stripes and a whistle around his neck. He had a fair and impartial personality, but he was also very strict and alert. He had come to this tournament to ensure that the rules were followed and that the battles were fair.

Volkner called out the first move of the tournament. "Luxray, let's start with Thunder Fang!" Luxray charged towards Liepard with its mouth crackling with electricity. It aimed to bite down on its opponent with its powerful jaws and paralyze it with its electric shock.

Domino was ready. "Liepard, dodge and use Shadow Claw!" Liepard nimbly sidestepped the attack and raked its claws across Luxray's back with a dark aura around them. It aimed to slash its opponent with its sharp nails and inflict damage with its ghostly power.

Volkner decided to make his move. He shouted to his Luxray, "Now it's our turn to strike! Use Spark!" Luxray roared and charged up an electric attack in its mouth. It ran towards Liepard with incredible speed, leaving a trail of sparks behind it.

But Domino had a plan. She calmly ordered her Liepard, "Liepard, use Taunt to lure them in!" Liepard smirked and taunted Luxray with a playful flick of its tail. It made a mocking gesture with its paw, as if inviting Luxray to come closer. Luxray fell for the bait and got closer than it intended. It was too late to stop its momentum.

Domino seized the opportunity and said, "Now use Foul Play!" Liepard used its agility and cunning to turn the tables on Luxray. It grabbed Luxray's head with its tail and flipped it over in mid-air. It used Luxray's own strength against it and slammed it to the ground with a powerful impact.

Volkner quickly got back on his feet. He saw that his Luxray was hurt, but not out yet. He encouraged it to keep fighting. He said, "Luxray, use Swift!" Luxray nodded and created a shower of stars that rained down on Liepard. The stars were fast and accurate, and they hit Liepard from all directions.

Domino knew she had to act fast. She said, "Liepard, use Hone Claws to increase your accuracy!" Liepard sharpened its claws and dodged the attack with ease. It moved with grace and precision, avoiding every star that came its way.

Volkner had one last trick up his sleeve. He said, "Luxray, use Wild Charge!" Luxray's entire body crackled with electricity as it charged towards Liepard. It was a risky move that would damage both Pokémon, but Volkner hoped it would be enough to knock out Liepard.

Domino smiled. She said, "Liepard, it's time for our finisher. Use Dark Pulse!" Liepard released a powerful pulse of dark energy that collided with Luxray's Wild Charge, causing an explosion of energy that sent both Pokémon flying.

As the dust cleared, it was revealed that Liepard had managed to hang on by the skin of its teeth, while Luxray was unable to battle.

Volkner called back his defeated Luxray and reached for another pokeball. He was determined to win this battle and prove himself worthy of the title of Pokemon Legend. Now he faced Domino, the blonde Dark-Ghost specialist who had a reputation for being cunning and ruthless. "Alright, let's go, Electivire!" Volkner shouted as he threw his pokeball. The electric type Pokemon appeared on the field, crackling with energy. It looked confident and ready to fight.

Domino smirked as she sent out her next Pokemon. She had been impressed by Volkner's performance so far, but she was not going to let him win. She had worked hard to become an Elite Four member. She had a secret weapon that she was sure would give her the edge in this battle. "Zoroark, it's your turn to shine!" She said as she tossed her pokeball. The illusion fox Pokemon emerged from its pokeball and let out a fierce growl. It had a dark fur coat with red markings and a bushy tail. It looked at Electivire with a cunning gleam in its eyes.

The referee raised the flags again, signaling the start of the second round. The crowd was on the edge of their seats, watching the intense battle between the two trainers. "BEGIN!" The referee announced.

Volkner wasted no time. He knew that Zoroark was a tricky Pokemon that could create illusions and change its appearance. He decided to use his speed and power to overwhelm it before it could use its tricks. "Electivire, use Thunder Punch!" He ordered his Pokemon to attack. Electivire charged towards Zoroark with a fist crackling with electricity. It aimed for Zoroark's head, hoping to knock it out with one hit.

But Domino had anticipated this move. She knew that Volkner would try to end the battle quickly and she had prepared a counterattack. "Zoroark, use Double Team!" She instructed her Pokemon to evade. Zoroark quickly created multiple illusions of itself, confusing Electivire and causing it to miss its target. Electivire punched the air, hitting nothing but empty space.

"Nice try, but it's not enough! Electivire, use Thunderbolt to strike them all!" Volkner commanded his Pokemon to unleash a powerful electric attack that hit all of the Zoroark illusions, revealing the real one. The illusions vanished in a flash of light, leaving only one Zoroark standing on the field. It looked slightly dazed by the attack, but it was still standing. "Now, use Brick Break!" Volkner ordered his Pokemon to charge towards Zoroark with a powerful punch that shattered its illusions and hit the real one.

But Domino had a surprise. She had been waiting for this moment to use her secret weapon. She smiled wickedly as she gave her command. "Zoroark, use Night Daze!" She said as Zoroark released a powerful blast of dark energy that hit Electivire and lowered its accuracy. The blast was so bright that it temporarily blinded Electivire and Volkner. They both squinted their eyes, trying to see what was happening.

"Now, use Flamethrower!" Domino said as Zoroark unleashed a stream of fire from its mouth that hit Electivire, dealing significant damage. The fire burned Electivire's fur and skin, causing it to scream in pain. It stumbled back, trying to shake off the flames.

Volkner was shocked by this turn of events. He had not expected Zoroark to have such a powerful move like Flamethrower. He wondered how Domino had taught it such a move. He realized that he had underestimated her and her Pokemon. He knew that he had to act fast before he lost his chance to win.

"Electivire, use Ice Punch!" Volkner commanded. Electivire charged towards Zoroark with a fist coated in ice, hoping to exploit its weakness to ice-type moves. But Zoroark was too quick. It had already fooled Volkner once with its Illusion ability, pretending to be a Gengar and taking out his Luxray with a surprise Focus Blast. "Zoroark, use Nasty Plot to increase your special attack!" Domino ordered. Zoroark's eyes glowed as it increased its power, dodging the attack and preparing for its next move.

Volkner gritted his teeth. He knew Zoroark was a formidable opponent, especially with its boosted special attack. He had to find a way to take it down before it unleashed its full potential. "This isn't over yet! Electivire, use Earthquake!" Volkner shouted. Electivire slammed its fists into the ground, causing the entire battlefield to shake and deal damage to Zoroark.

The crowd gasped as they watched the powerful move hit Zoroark hard. But Zoroark had one last trick up its sleeve. "Zoroark, use Shadow Ball!" Domino yelled. Zoroark fired a powerful ball of dark energy at Electivire, using its speed and agility to aim for a direct hit. The ball collided with Electivire, causing a huge explosion that left both Pokemon on the ground.

The referee rushed to check on the two Pokemon, and after a tense moment, declared Zoroark the winner of the second round. Volkner quickly recalled his defeated Electivire, and took a deep breath as he reached for his last pokeball. He had one more chance to turn this around. He looked at Domino, who was smiling confidently. "Alright, it all comes down to this. Go, Raichu!" Volkner said, throwing his pokeball.

Domino called back her victorious Zoroark and sent out her last Pokemon. She knew Volkner still had some fight left in him, and she wasn't going to let her guard down. She looked at Volkner's Raichu, which was one of his oldest and most loyal Pokemon. It had been Volkner's ace in many battles. It was also very cute and friendly, unlike most of Domino's Pokemon which were fierce and intimidating. But Domino didn't care about appearances. She only cared about winning. "Let's end this, Houndoom!" Domino said, throwing her pokeball.

Raichu crackled with electricity as it prepared for the final battle, while Houndoom snarled and bared its teeth. The two Pokemon stared at each other with determination and respect, knowing that this would be their toughest challenge yet.

"Raichu, use Thunderbolt!" he shouted. Raichu opened its mouth and unleashed a powerful electric attack towards Domino's Houndoom, a black canine-like Pokemon with orange markings and horns on its head. The Thunderbolt was fast and furious, but Houndoom was faster and more agile. It dodged the electric attack with ease, leaping to the side and avoiding any damage.

Domino smirked and counterattacked. "Houndoom, use Flamethrower!" she ordered. Houndoom opened its mouth and unleashed a stream of fire towards Raichu, hoping to burn it to a crisp. The Flamethrower was hot and intense, but Raichu was quick and alert. It dodged the fire attack just in time, rolling to the side and avoiding any damage.

Volkner smiled and changed his strategy. "Raichu, use Double Team!" he instructed. Raichu nodded and created multiple illusions of itself, confusing Houndoom and causing it to miss its target. The Double Team was clever and effective, but Domino was not easily fooled. She saw through the trick and focused on the real Raichu.

"Now, use Iron Tail!" Volkner commanded. Raichu charged towards Houndoom with a tail glowing with steel energy. The Iron Tail was strong and sharp, but Houndoom was ready and prepared. It blocked Raichu's Iron Tail with its paw, which glowed with dark energy.

Domino wasn't about to let her guard down. "Houndoom, use Shadow Claw to block the attack!" she commanded. Houndoom's paw glowed with dark energy as it blocked Raichu's Iron Tail, causing a small explosion that sent both Pokemon flying back.

"Nice try, but now use Thunder Wave!" Volkner called out to his Raichu, which had landed on its feet. Raichu released a wave of electricity that paralyzed Houndoom, making it unable to move for a short time. The Thunder Wave was quick and effective, but Domino was not going to give up.

"Now, use Thunder Punch!" Volkner ordered his Raichu to finish off Houndoom with a powerful punch that crackled with electricity. Raichu charged towards Houndoom with a fist full of thunder, hoping to knock it out.

But Domino wasn't going to let Houndoom go down that easily. She saw an opening and took it. "Houndoom, use Smog!" she yelled. Houndoom released a thick cloud of poisonous gas towards Raichu, making it cough and wheeze as it tried to breathe. The Smog was thick and toxic, but Volkner was not going to let Raichu suffer.

"Raichu, snap out of it and use Volt Tackle!" he called out to his Pokemon, urging it to fight through the poison and charge towards Houndoom with a powerful electric tackle. Raichu's body crackled with electricity as it charged towards Houndoom, but the poison had weakened it, causing it to miss its target and crash to the ground.

Domino saw her chance to end the battle. She had been training for this moment for years, and she wasn't going to let it slip away. "Houndoom, use Fire Fang!" she commanded, her voice confident and clear.

Her Houndoom obeyed without hesitation, sprinting towards Volkner's Raichu with its jaws glowing with intense flames. It was a powerful Dark and Fire type Pokemon, with a sleek black coat and a pair of horns on its head. It had a fierce loyalty to Domino, and it shared her determination to win.

Volkner's Raichu was a fast and agile Electric type Pokemon, with yellow fur and a long tail that ended in a lightning bolt shape. It had been Volkner's partner since he was a kid, and they had grown together as trainers and friends. They had faced many challenges and opponents, but none as tough as Domino and her Houndoom.

Raichu tried to dodge the Fire Fang attack, but it was too late. Houndoom's teeth sank into its arm, causing it to cry out in pain as the flames burned its flesh. It fell to the ground, writhing in agony.

Volkner felt a surge of worry and anger as he saw his Raichu suffer. He wasn't going to give up yet. He still had faith in his Pokemon's strength and spirit. "Raichu, get up and use Thunder Punch!" he shouted, his voice full of encouragement.

Raichu heard its trainer's words and felt a spark of hope. It rose to its feet, its arm still smoking from the flames, but also crackling with electricity. It charged towards Houndoom with a powerful punch that was enhanced by its Electric type energy. It hit Houndoom hard on the chest, sending it flying backwards.

Domino watched as her Houndoom was hit by the Thunder Punch attack. She felt a pang of concern for her Pokemon, but she also knew it was tough enough to take the hit. She wasn't going to let Volkner's comeback stop her from winning. She had one more move that would seal the deal. "Houndoom, use Inferno!" she ordered, her voice calm and decisive.

Houndoom got back on its feet, shaking off the impact of the Thunder Punch. It looked at Domino with a nod of understanding, then opened its mouth wide. It unleashed a huge burst of flames that engulfed Raichu in a fiery inferno. The heat was so intense that it melted the metal plates on the floor of the arena.

Raichu screamed in agony as it was surrounded by the flames. It tried to resist the pain, but it was too much to bear. It collapsed to the ground, defeated.

Volkner watched in horror as his Raichu fell to the ground, unable to continue fighting. He felt a wave of sadness and disappointment wash over him. He had lost the battle and the chance to become a Pokemon Legend. He recalled his Raichu into its Pokeball, tears in his eyes as he looked at his Pokemon with love and gratitude.

He walked over to Domino, who was holding her Houndoom in her arms. She had a smile on her face, but also a look of respect for Volkner and his Raichu. She knew they had given it their all, and she admired their courage and skill.

"Well done, Domino. You're a tough opponent," Volkner said, offering his hand in congratulations.

"Thanks, Volkner. That was a great battle," Domino replied, shaking his hand with a smile.

As they shook hands, the crowd cheered loudly for both trainers.

Ash and Misty were sitting in the stands of the Paldea League Stadium, watching the intense battle between Domino and Volkner. Misty had been excited to see the Elite Four member in action, and Ash was eager to see how she would perform.

As the battle came to an end, Misty turned to Ash with a grin. "Your Elite Four member, Domino, she did it! She won with a score of 3-0 against Volkner."

Ash smiled proudly. "I knew she had it in her. Domino is one of the best trainers in Paldea, and her Dark-Ghost type team is unbeatable."

Misty nodded in agreement. "She's definitely a force to be reckoned with. I'm glad I got to see her battle in person."

Max, Bonnie, May, Trip, Iris, Dawn, and Cilan were watching the battle and saw the result.

Max said "Domino won by fluke as 3-0."

Bonnie cooed "You are right, Max. You will win the championship and then we would be rich."

Iris who was the Unova Champion said "I am the World Champion and so I am stronger than Blake and Misty. It is Blake and Misty's fault that they did not participate in World Coronation Series. They were scared of losing and so they did not compete."

May said "Iris, you are an amazing trainer. Blake is a jerk for trying to punish guests in his region for what was Domino's provocation. Misty is hanging out with jerk so she is an enemy."

As the group continued to watch the battle, Dawn spoke up. "I don't understand why you guys are still so hung up on Blake and Misty. They're obviously not the enemy here."

Trip nodded in agreement. "Yeah, we should be focusing on our own battles and training, not worrying about what other trainers are doing."

But Iris wasn't convinced. "I'm just saying, if Blake and Misty were really as strong as they claim to be, they would have competed in the World Coronation Series. But they didn't, which just proves they're not as good as they think they are."

Cilan, always the peacemaker, tried to diffuse the tension. "Everyone has their own reasons for not competing. We shouldn't judge them without knowing the full story."

May rolled her eyes. "Oh, please. It's obvious that Blake and Misty are just scared of losing. They're not as strong as they pretend to be."

Max spoke up. "Yeah, and even if they were, they still wouldn't be able to beat me in a battle."

Bonnie added, "And when Max becomes the Paldea Champion, we'll all be rich!"

Dawn shook her head. "You guys are so focused on winning and money that you've lost sight of what being a trainer is really about."

As they watched the celebrations on the field, Misty couldn't help but feel a sense of admiration for Blake. He was the Paldea Champion, but he never let his status get in the way of his passion for battling and training.

Blake went to the referees' podium and roared. "How are we all getting along out there?" The audience erupted in applause, and Blake nodded once or twice to ensure that everyone was happy. "That's correct, guys! Before we reveal the tournament bracket, I'd like to thank Domino and Volkner for a fantastic opening matchup!"

The audience erupted in response, thanking the two elites for their time. He grinned and called out, pointing to the big screens around the stadium. "This tournament has been organised into four brackets! Because there are exactly five hundred and twelve competitors in this tournament, each bracket will have exactly one hundred and twenty eight participants. Regardless of whether you are crowned champion or not, the winners of each bracket will automatically receive prizes set up by the committee."

He went on. "If you'll all take a look at your Pokedex right now..." Every competitor in the stadium examined their pokedex. "… it will tell you which bracket you will be in. The brackets are named after Pokémon: Arceus Bracket, Girantina Bracket, Zekrom Bracket, and Yvetal Bracket. While all of the brackets are now posted throughout the stadium, you can find your competition on one of the four big screens. Right now, you can see the outline of your Pokémon in the corner of your pokedex, which corresponds to a large screen here in the stadium. Look up your name and find out who your opponent is."

As trainers started looking for their matchup, Ash did the same. He took out his pokedex and noticed a symbol of the legendary Unova Pokémon, Zekrom, the fearsome Electric-Dragon-type, in the right side corner. He then turned 90 degrees to the left to see who got where. Domino and another elite were in same bracket, who had also been assigned to the Arceus bracket, his elites had all been separated. Misty was in Giratina bracket.

Misty got a phone call and saw it was from Blake. Misty picked up the call.

Blake asked "Could we go for a walk in Glaseado Park?"

Misty hesitated for a moment, thinking about her conflicting feelings towards Blake. On one hand, she was still grieving Ash's supposed death and felt like she shouldn't be spending time with another guy. But on the other hand, she couldn't deny the attraction she felt towards Blake.

Finally, she made a decision. "Sure, I'd love to go for a walk with you in Glaseado Park," she said, trying to keep her voice steady.

Blake sounded happy. "Great, I'll meet you in the lobby in ten minutes."

Misty quickly got dressed and headed down to the lobby. She saw Blake waiting for her, and her heart skipped a beat.

"Ready to go?" Blake asked, holding out his arm.

Misty hesitated for a moment, but then took his arm. They walked out of the hotel and towards the park.

As they walked, Misty couldn't help but feel a sense of peace. The park was beautiful, with colorful flowers and a small lake. The sound of birds chirping and the breeze rustling through the trees made her feel like everything was going to be okay.

Blake noticed Misty's peaceful expression and smiled. "You know, I come here sometimes when I need to clear my head. It's a beautiful place, isn't it?"

Misty nodded. "Yeah, it is. Thanks for bringing me here."

They continued to walk around the park, admiring the scenery and chatting about various things. As the sun began to set, Blake led Misty to a secluded area by the lake.

"This is my favorite spot in the whole park," he said, looking out over the water.

Misty looked at him and felt a flutter in her chest. She wasn't sure what was happening between them, but she knew that she felt happy and comfortable around him.

Suddenly, Blake turned to her and took her hand. "Misty, I know this might not be the best timing, but I have to tell you something. I know we've only known each other for a short time, but...I feel like there's something special between us."

Max was battling a trainer and Misty and Blake watched the match. Max then lost the match as his Shiny Haxorus fainted.

Max said "You are useless as you lost most battles and your only worth is that you are a Shiny Pokemon and I can sell you. I only found you due to Iris in Nature Preserve."

Iris chimed in "I guess I should give Shiny Haxorus to the Village of Dragons and inform them that it of no purpose other than make collectors happy to have a rare Pokemon."

Cilan added, "If its Shiny property is its only useful thing, we are speaking of a Pokemon that we would normally abandon."

Iris spoke "Do not judge a Pokemon by what they look on the outside. We can only use Shiny Haxorus to get money from Village of Dragons in return for selling them this but before selling, we should inform them that it is trash."

Dawn judged "I think Haxorus would not be useful in Contests as it is weak and its moves do not appear to be beautiful."

May remarked "Come on, let us just abandon Haxorus. Why try to get money as no one will pay for Haxorus as it has no use?"

Cilan rebuked May "It is useful for Pokemon Collectors."

May defended herself by saying "Well, they would be collecting garbage in this case."

Bonnie concluded "Max is the one who decides what should happen to Haxorus? Max, tell us what you have decided."

Blake spoke up "Max, I challenge you to a battle with Haxorus. I want you to give it your all in the battle."

Max said "You want to see how weak my weak Pokemon is compared to your Pokemons. Alright, I would battle you."

The group made their way to a nearby open area to watch Max and Blake's battle. Max sent out his Shiny Haxorus, while Blake chose to use his Dragonite.

The battle started off with Max's Haxorus attempting to use Dragon Claw, but it was quickly dodged by Blake's Dragonite, who then countered with a powerful Flamethrower attack.

Iris shouted "Wow, Blake's Dragonite is amazing. I want to have one just like that!"

Cilan nodded in agreement, "Yes, Blake's Dragonite is an exceptional Pokemon. It shows great strength and speed."

Max tried to get back into the game with his Haxorus using Dragon Tail, but it was ineffective against Dragonite's agility. Blake's Dragonite countered with a Thunder Punch, which hit Haxorus hard, sending it flying back several feet.

Misty was surprised by Blake's skills as a trainer. She thought to herself, "Blake is really strong. I shouldn't underestimate him."

The battle continued with Max trying to land a hit on Blake's Dragonite, but it was futile. Blake's Dragonite was just too strong and fast.

After a few more attacks, Blake's Dragonite finally defeated Max's Shiny Haxorus with a devastating Hyper Beam attack.

Max went to Haxorus and said "My Pokemons would be stronger than Blake's Pokemons. You are weaker than Blake's Dragonite so I am abandoning you. It is your fault that I lost."

Max then threw Haxorus' Pokeball to the ground and crushed Haxorus' Pokeball with his feet, signalling that he has released Haxorus for being weak.

The next thing May knew, her brother was being lifted into the air by Blake, who appeared to be prepared to kill the young boy for his actions that he had just done. Meanwhile, Max was back in piss mode as he stared at the man who appeared to be ready for extreme measures. Black spoke in hushed tones. "Max Maple, you'll come to regret that decision. You'd better hope you lose this tournament before facing me... Because if you do, you will suffer."

Blake then threw Max to the ground, who panicked and stumbled away from him. Blake spat. "You're the type of person who makes the world a toxic place. You're nothing more than a disease, a walking disease that infects everything you come into contact with."

Max ran to Misty and said "Misty, Blake is trying to kill me. Just leave Blake as he is not fit to be with you."

Misty spoke "I support Blake in whatever action he takes against you. You deserve to be treated like how Blake treated you."

Misty then went and stood next to Blake. Bonnie saw that and stood near Max and May also went and stood near Max.

May said "I am not going to let you harm Max, my younger brother."

Bonnie said "I would not allow you to hurt my love."

Iris went to Max and said "As the Unova Champion, I condone Max's actions. Blake, it is you who is wrong about Haxorus."

Blake then glared at the four who went into piss mode. Iris, Cilan, May, Max, Bonnie, Dawn, and Trip then ran away from the scene.

As Iris, Cilan, May, Max, Bonnie, Dawn, and Trip ran away, Misty turned to Blake and said "Thank you for taking care of that situation. It is clear that they do not understand the value of a Pokemon, even if it may appear weak on the outside."

Blake replied "I agree. It is important to remember that all Pokemon have their own unique strengths and weaknesses, and it is our duty as trainers to help them grow and develop."

Misty nodded in agreement. "I couldn't have said it better myself. It's our responsibility to care for our Pokemon, and to treat them with respect and kindness."

Blake added "And that's why I have no tolerance for trainers like Max, who view their Pokemon as disposable and worthless. It's a disgrace to the entire Pokemon community."

Misty smiled at Blake. "I'm glad to have you as a friend and fellow champion. We share the same values and passion for Pokemon, and I know that together, we can make a difference in the world."

Blake grinned back. "I couldn't agree more. Let's continue to work towards a better future for all Pokemon, and for all trainers who love and care for them."

Blake then said to Misty "I need you to stand away as I would have a personal conversation with Haxorus."

Misty nodded and said "Yes, I will stand away." and went and stood at a distance.

"You're not upset because Max left you. Is it true that you're upset because you believe you won't be good enough for any trainer?" Haxorus lifted its head to look at Ash for the first time. Its eyes shone with surprise. It made Ash smile. "It's okay, I understand how you feel."

Haxorus snorted, as if he didn't believe him. Ash raised his eyes to the ceiling and spoke quietly. "Honest. Prior to becoming champion, I was training my Pokémon to compete in a Pokémon league. No matter how hard I trained, I always seemed to fall just short. Nonetheless, I never gave up! After all, it was my dream."

Ash continued as Haxorus looked at him with interest. "I won awards but that was not enough for them as I lost to Misty. The people I used to call friends told me to give up on my values. When I refused, they betrayed me and attempted to take my life." Haxorus's eyes widened slightly. Ash gave a small smile. "And they believe I'm dead right now. But, even though I was presumed dead, I couldn't give up on my dream! It was my ambition to become a champion, and I succeeded because I never gave up."

Haxorus fell silent as Ash finished speaking. "Your old trainer, Haxorus, was the one who betrayed me. Max was an old friend who tried to convince me to give up my dreams. That was about six years ago... possibly a little longer." Haxorus was stunned as he stared at the trainer in front of him; had his old trainer betrayed the Paldea champion before he became champion? Why?

Ash stood up and looked at the dragon type again before pulling out a pokeball and placing it in front of him. "What I'm trying to say, Haxorus, is that some people are simply cruel. You and I were both victims of the same trainer. If I can beat him, I know you can, because I know how strong and loyal you are. That is something you should never forget." He turned to leave Haxorus.

"Hax!" Ash turned around to see Haxorus standing at attention in front of its pokeball. Ash approached the dragon type and got to eye level with him. The Pokémon smiled as it nudged the pokeball back to Ash. "Hax! Hax-orus!" Ash smiled and spoke quietly. "I'd say you wanted to stay with me if I didn't know any better. Am I correct?"

Haxorus grinned and roared affirmatively. Ash said, laughing. "Are you ready to show the guy that he shouldn't mess with us?" Haxorus approved by licking Ash's face and grunting. With a smile on his face, Ash chuckled and rubbed Haxorus's head. Max had no idea what had hit him. Ash then used the Pokeball on Haxorus and the Pokeball shook once, again, then again and then Haxorus was caught.

Blake then went to Misty and said "Haxorus is now part of my team. I hope to battle Max and show that he was the one dragging Haxorus down."

Misty looked at Blake with curiosity. "I didn't know you were interested in battling Max. Is it because of Haxorus?" she asked.

Blake nodded. "Yes, Haxorus is a powerful Pokémon and he deserves a trainer who can bring out his full potential. Max wasn't able to do that and I want to show him that Haxorus is a force to be reckoned with."

Misty smiled. "I understand. I had a similar experience with one of my Pokémon. Palafin wasn't performing well under its old trainer, but with me, it became a powerhouse."

Blake's eyes lit up. "That's amazing. I always admired your battling skills and your ability to bring out the best in your Pokémon. Maybe we can have a battle sometime?"

Misty nodded eagerly. "I would love that! It's been a while since I've had a good battle."

Blake grinned. "It's settled then. But for now, I have to focus on training Haxorus for our battle against Max. Do you have any tips for training a dragon type?"

Misty thought for a moment before speaking. "Well, dragon types are known for their power and speed. It's important to work on both aspects in their training. You also need to make sure they're getting enough rest and nutrition to maintain their energy levels during battles."

Blake listened intently. "Thank you, Misty. I'll keep that in mind. I have a feeling that with your advice and Haxorus's strength, we'll be able to take down Max."

Misty smiled. "I have no doubt about it. I can't wait to see you in action, Blake."

Blake and Misty walked in silence for some time. Blake and Misty saw Lorelei approaching them.

Lorelei asked "Is Blake your boyfriend?"

Misty replied "He is my companion."

Lorelei said "It is good that you are moving on from Ash."

Misty replied "I am just getting to know Blake better as he is a kind person who has done many good deeds."

Blake could sense the tension in the air after Lorelei's comment. He didn't want to reveal his true identity to Misty just yet, so he played along. "Yes, Misty and I have been working together on some projects," he said with a smile.

Lorelei looked at him skeptically. "Projects, you say? Interesting."

Misty interrupted, "We were actually just on our way to grab some lunch. Would you like to join us?"

Lorelei hesitated for a moment before nodding her head. "Sure, I could use a bite to eat."

The trio walked to a nearby cafe and ordered their food. As they ate, they chatted about their respective journeys as trainers and their recent battles. Blake noticed that Lorelei kept giving him curious glances every now and then.

After they finished their meal, Lorelei excused herself and left. Misty turned to Blake and said, "Lorelei can be a bit intense sometimes. Don't mind her."

Blake chuckled. "It's fine. I'm used to people being curious about me."

Misty raised an eyebrow. "What do you mean?"

Blake realized he had slipped up and quickly covered it up. "Oh, just because of my reputation as a champion. People are always curious about what I'm up to."

Misty nodded, seemingly satisfied with the answer. They continued their walk through the park, chatting about their plans for the future.

As Blake and Misty walked in silence, they both seemed lost in their thoughts. Blake was contemplating his possible battle with Max and strategizing how he could defeat his former friend and colleague. Misty, on the other hand, was still processing her conversation with Lorelei and the mention of Ash. She couldn't help but wonder if Blake knew Ash or if he had any connection to him.

Suddenly, Lorelei's question interrupted Misty's thoughts. "Is Blake your boyfriend?" she asked, causing Misty to blush slightly at the unexpected question. "He is my companion," Misty remembered her reply, not wanting to give away too much about their relationship.

Lorelei then made a comment about Misty moving on from Ash, causing her to feel a twinge of sadness. She had never truly moved on from Ash, even after all these years. But she quickly pushed those thoughts aside and focused on the present.

As they approached a fork in the path, Blake turned to Misty and said, "I have some work to do, so bye!" Misty nodded, understanding that Blake had important duties to attend to as a champion.

"Sure, bye!" she replied, waving goodbye as Blake walked away. She watched him go, still wondering if there was more to him than meets the eye. But for now, she would focus on her own duties as Kanto Champion and leave Blake to his work.

Misty was in Glaseado Battlefield to watch Blake's battle with Elesa.

Elesa said "You are Blake who is famous for your good deeds." She gave a seductive smile. "Skyla was correct in saying that you are something to look at." He had to concentrate. Domino had told him some few words to remember just before the battle.

They were only a few words, but they were the words he needed to live by during this battle. 'Remember, you are the champion, they rang in his head. Put on a show, but don't give the audience any reason to believe you're going to lose.' It was just two sentences, but he knew she was correct, and there was no denying it. He needed to crush Elesa quickly, and he knew exactly how to do it.

"You know, after this battle, we're probably not going to talk, how about you?" A man next to her exclaimed and yelled. "Elesa! I'm available to hang out with you!" Another man yelled. "No! Choose me instead, Elesa!" Misty shook her head as she looked around at the boys.

Elesa smirked slightly, unfazed by Blake's remark. "I'm sure many guys would kill to get into my trousers, and I know you're no exception." Misty bit her lip, she wasn't wrong about the first part, and she silently pleaded that she was wrong about the second part. She listened to Blake's response, still perplexed as to why she was feeling this way about a stranger.

"As... er... Interesting... as you are, I am not interested in you." Blake wasn't going to take the bait, she stifled a laugh! He clearly possessed a high level of self-control. Elesa, to her surprise, wasn't done trying to persuade the champion to give her a chance.

"Then I'll make a deal with you!"

"And what's the deal with that?"

"If you beat me, I'll buy you dinner for just the two of us! And if I win, you'll pay for our dinner." Misty blew up. That was the end of it! "The audacity of that woman!" She screamed in rage, almost surprising herself. Fortunately for her, a swarm of boys yelling that they would take the offer in a heartbeat drowned out her rather loud remark, keeping her outburst hidden.

Blake, for his part, fired back. "I'll make you a counter-offer: if you win, you can advance in the tournament, and if I win, I advance. What do you think?" May was taken aback by Blake's calm and straightforward demeanour; every other male in the stadium seemed to want to get into her pants, while all he wanted was to fight. She couldn't help but look around and notice something strange: both males and females were staring down at the pitch. Blake was a man who drew a lot of people, she realised.

She gave one or two girls death stares before pausing to consider what she was doing. She tried to redirect the emotion that was building up inside her, but it was futile: she was hopelessly jealous. She couldn't believe it and had no choice but to accept it. She felt like she'd finally moved on from Ash, which was probably what Ash would've wanted anyway.

She couldn't stop looking at the boy in the red vest. She also knew it was pointless to try to resist him, even if he wasn't even trying. The catch was telling Blake she liked him, and of course hoping he felt the same way.

The crowd cheered as the two trainers sent out their Pokémon onto the battlefield. Elesa's Eelektross was an imposing sight with its massive size and electrifying aura, while Blake's Infernape was a fierce and agile opponent, ready to take on any challenge.

"Go, Eelektross!" Elesa yelled as she threw her Pokéball.

"Infernape, I choose you!" Blake said confidently, releasing his Pokémon.

As the two Pokémon faced off, Eelektross began to charge up electricity in its body. Its eyes glowed with an intense energy, and sparks crackled around it. Infernape stood its ground, watching its opponent carefully.

"Eelektross, use Thunderbolt!" Elesa commanded.

The electric type let out a powerful blast of lightning that crackled across the battlefield. But Infernape was quick to dodge, leaping out of the way with impressive agility.

"Infernape, use Close Combat!" Blake shouted.

His Pokémon charged forward, its fists glowing with a fiery aura. It landed a series of quick and powerful punches on Eelektross, knocking it back several feet. The electric type struggled to regain its footing, looking shaken by the attack.

But Elesa wasn't about to give up yet. "Eelektross, use Flamethrower!"

The electric type let out a burst of flames from its mouth, engulfing Infernape in a blazing inferno. But Blake's Pokémon was tough, and it withstood the attack, shaking off the flames and charging forward once again.

"Infernape, use Flare Blitz!" Blake commanded.

His Pokémon was surrounded by a blazing aura as it charged forward at incredible speed. It slammed into Eelektross with a powerful tackle, knocking it out cold.

The crowd erupted into cheers as the referee declared Blake the winner of the battle. Misty was on her feet, clapping and cheering along with the other spectators. She had to admit, she was impressed by Blake's skill and determination. She couldn't help but wonder what it would be like to battle him herself.

As Elesa sent out her Zebstrika, Blake grinned. He knew this would be a tough fight, but he was more than ready for it.

"Infernape, let's go!" he shouted, sending out his fiery Pokemon onto the field.

Zebstrika let out a fierce whinny, sparks flying from its electric mane as it prepared to battle. The two Pokemon circled each other, sizing up their opponent.

"Zebstrika, use Thunder Wave!" Elesa commanded.

Zebstrika's body crackled with electricity as it shot out a wave of energy towards Infernape. However, Blake was quick to react.

"Infernape, dodge and use Flame Wheel!"

Infernape leapt out of the way of the Thunder Wave, rolling into a tight ball and igniting itself with flames. It then charged towards Zebstrika, slamming into it with a blazing wheel of fire.

Zebstrika stumbled back, but quickly recovered and countered with a powerful Thunderbolt attack. Infernape took the hit head on, but didn't falter.

"Infernape, use Close Combat!" Blake shouted.

Infernape charged at Zebstrika, delivering a series of fast and powerful punches and kicks. Zebstrika tried to dodge, but couldn't keep up with Infernape's speed and strength.

Elesa gritted her teeth, realizing she was in trouble. "Zebstrika, use Flame Charge!"

Zebstrika's body was engulfed in flames as it charged towards Infernape. The two collided, creating a fiery explosion that sent both Pokemon flying.

When the smoke cleared, it was Infernape who stood victorious, albeit looking a little worse for wear.

Blake grinned and raised his fist in the air. "Infernape, you did it!"

Misty cheered from the sidelines, impressed with Blake's battling skills. Elesa walked over to Blake and shook his hand. "You're an amazing trainer," she said. "Good luck in the rest of the tournament."

Blake nodded, feeling confident and ready for whatever challenges lay ahead.

As the battle continued, Elesa decided to send out her final Pokemon, Emolga. Blake, who had his Infernape out on the field, knew he had to act fast and make a move that could give him the upper hand in the match.

"Infernape, let's go! Use Flamethrower!" Blake commanded his Pokemon, as Infernape let out a stream of flames towards Emolga. The electric flying type quickly dodged the attack, but was still caught off guard by the sheer force of the Flamethrower.

Elesa wasn't going to let her Emolga go down without a fight, however, and she ordered "Emolga, use Thunderbolt!" and Emolga quickly countered with a powerful Thunderbolt attack. The lightning bolt hit Infernape, sending it tumbling back across the battlefield.

Blake knew that he had to come up with a new strategy quickly if he was going to win this battle. "Infernape, use Mach Punch!" he shouted. Infernape darted towards Emolga, its fist glowing with power as it landed a powerful punch that sent Emolga flying back.

Elesa wasn't giving up, however, and she had one more trick up her sleeve. "Emolga, use Attract!" she commanded, causing Infernape to become infatuated with Emolga and lose focus on the battle.

Blake knew that he had to break the spell and snap Infernape out of its infatuation if he was going to have any chance of winning. "Infernape, use Close Combat!" he yelled. The fighting type Pokemon shook off its infatuation and charged towards Emolga, landing a series of powerful punches and kicks that knocked Emolga out.

The crowd erupted into cheers as the referee declared Blake the winner of the match. Misty smiled as she watched the battle, impressed with Blake's skill and determination.

"Well done, Blake," she said, as he made his way over to her. "You fought a good battle."

"Thanks, Misty," Blake replied, a smile on his face. "I couldn't have done it without Infernape. It's a tough opponent, but we pulled through in the end."

The two champions chatted for a few more minutes, discussing their strategies and exchanging tips, before Blake had to head off to his next battle. As he walked away, Misty couldn't help but feel a twinge of sadness. She had enjoyed spending time with Blake and was starting to develop feelings for him, but she knew that he was just passing through and that their time together was limited.
