(Y/N) has been bullied and believes death is the only way out. Blurr likes her and hopes to save her.
Warning: suicide attempt
"You're a worthless piece of shit!"
"So ugly it's amazing you're not allowed to wear a mask to cover your face."
These were just a few things (Y/N) heard at school and read on social media every day for five years. She'd say something, but teachers wouldn't listen, and her parents would tell her to stop using social media like that would make every insult disappear. (Y/N) resorted to cutting herself, but it's the middle of winter, and no one notices the cuts on her arms.
The middle of winter when the lake water is freezing. (Y/N) thinks as she stands on the bridge. Bumblebee drove by and saw her. He knows he's taking a chance by contacting Blurr to stop her, but he knows how much (Y/N) loves Blurr.
Blurr is training with Sideswipe when Bee contacts him.
:: Blurr, we have an emergency!::
:: Ugh, I didn't come here to—::
:: It's (Y/N)! She's suicidal and about to jump off the bridge!::
Blurr told no one he likes (Y/N) for obvious reasons, but he feels like Bee didn't contact him specifically because he's a rescue bot.
"Dude, go!" Sideswipe stresses.
Bumblebee contacts Ratchet, hoping for the better, but still not so great scenario that (Y/N) ends up injured but can be helped.
Blurr already has tears rolling down his holoform's face as he drives to the bridge, worried he'll be too late.
Good ending:
Blurr gets to the bridge before (Y/N) jumps. He carefully plans how to get her off the bridge before tackling her, being careful she doesn't hit her head on the pavement. He hugs her close, asking why she wants to be dead.
"Because clearly, no one likes me. Even my own parents act like I'm a mistake. I'm better off dead," (Y/N) sobs.
This hurts Blurr, hating how even with the Autobots, Denny and Russell; (Y/N) feels like nobody likes her. He interrupts (Y/N) by kissing her. (Y/N) is shocked but returns the kiss.
"I love you with all my spark," Blurr confesses.
(Y/N) is shocked and shyly tells Blurr she loves him. He takes her back to the scrapyard, where Ratchet insists on making sure she's ok. (Y/N) knows Ratchet will find her delf-inflicted injuries. Ratchet can't believe how many cuts he sees in her. Everyone on the Bee team knows it'll take time for (Y/N) to get better mentally, and they want to help her.
It's not all bad ending:
Blurr didn't see (Y/N) when he got to the bridge. He transforms and jumps into the lake. Blurr struggles to stay calm as he brings (Y/N) to the surface and tries to find a pulse.
:: Bee, please tell me you contacted Ratchet?::
:: He's waiting here.::
Blurr says nothing more as he transforms and rushes back to the scrapyard.
Ratchet is waiting as Blurr carries (Y/N) into the scrapyard. Immediately dreading that he has to give bad news.
One scan shows (Y/N) is barely holding on.
"I'm sorry, Blurr, but I have to take her to the hospital," Ratchet regrets saying.
He transforms and activates his holoform. Blurr watches, sparkbroken. He knows there's a chance (Y/N) could die. Unfortunately, he doesn't have a holoform yet, and he doesn't expect Bee to instruct Fixit to make him a holoform so he can see (Y/N).
Everyone is troubled by Blurr's lack of interest in going racing or learning to fight. Ratchet has been at the hospital for two days, and Blurr believes Ratchet refuses to come back to tell everyone (Y/N) is gone.
"How long before he's depressed and believes death is the only way?" Drift asks.
"Ratchet is aware of Blurr's mental state and still has insisted on not telling him anything," Bumblebee explains.
Ratchet finally returns the next morning, but Blurr doesn't rush up to him to ask how (Y/N) is doing. After a talk with Bee, Ratchet sits by Blurr.
"I don't want to hear it," Blurr says sadly.
Ratchet can tell depression is eating at him, and he can't stick to his original plan.
"Yes, you do," Ratchet argues, "(Y/N) is doing well, and she should be released from the hospital tomorrow. Listen, Blurr, she's supposed to be admitted to the psychiatric ward after a suicide attempt to get help, but I argued she has friends who can support her. Which is true, but because of the situation, you need to stay with her and make sure she's safe," Ratchet explains, "I know you like her and will keep her safe."
"... this will take some getting used to, but I'm certain you'll get it," Bee explains.
Blurr can't believe he's getting a holoform. He knows he can't rush to tell (Y/N) how he feels, even if he believes it'll help her mental state. Even Ratchet tells him to wait awhile, but he trusts Blurr will know when the time is right.
(Y/N) couldn't believe she could go to the scrapyard, knowing the protocol for someone who attempted suicide, but she's happy with the attachment. Especially when she heard Blurr would be her guardian. She's even more surprised to see he got a holoform and the hug he gives her. (Y/N) could tell she terrified Blurr, probably worse than her parents.
Both (Y/N) and Blurr enjoy their time together. (Y/N) loves watching Blurr train with Sideswipe, but happy she fell in love with the speed racer rescue bot, who'll soon be a skilled warrior.
A month passes before Blurr wonders if it's a good time to tell (Y/N) how he feels. He didn't think Ratchet would ask why he had said nothing.
"Come on, it's obvious she likes you," he points out, "you'd make her happy. I don't think it'll cure her depression, but she'll feel better knowing she has close support. Even though she could talk to any of us, sometimes humans need to feel safe talking to one human."
Blurr plans a night out, hoping (Y/N) won't feel uncomfortable feeling that she's on an unwanted date.
With her depression and lack of leaving the scrapyard, (Y/N) thinks Blurr thinks — or was told by Ratchet — that she needs to get out of the scrapyard. Even with this thought, she gets ready in a nice dress, knowing she may seem odd, thinking it's a date when it's not. She knows Blurr wouldn't say anything. Unknown to her, Blurr can't believe how beautiful (Y/N) looks, and he wants to kiss her, but he knows he's getting ahead of himself.
It's dark out when the two are done with dinner. As much as Blurr would have liked to watch the sunset with (Y/N) and tell her how he felt, but he had a backup plan.
Bee: ok, everything is set. ;)
(Y/N) doesn't question why Blurr wants her to be blindfolded as he takes her to his room.
"You're going to love this," Blurr smiles and takes the blindfold off.
Blurr's room has several candles lit, and rose peddles on the bed, but rather than a heart, the peddles are used to write 'I Love You.'
"You...you...," (Y/N) is speechless.
Blurr hugs her, not knowing (Y/N) would cry.
"So we can smell you love me, but I've been afraid to tell you, and after your suicide attempt, I was told to hold off for a while," Blurr explains, "so, yeah, I waited for Ratchet's permission to say I can tell you —."
Blurr didn't think (Y/N) would kiss him. She struggles to tell him how much she likes him. Blurr dreads hearing her cry as she apologizes for scaring him and is happy they'll be together forever.
Bad ending;
Bumblebee thought (Y/N) would jump off the bridge, allowing a little more time for Blurr to get to her. He feels bad as Blurr comms, saying he found (Y/N) hanging from the bridge.
Bumblebee and Ratchet rush to the scene.
"He's in shock," Ratchet points out, "Fixit, ground bridge, now!"
Bumblebee and Drift try to calm Blurr down as Sideswipe gets (Y/N)'s body for Ratchet, who hopes it's not too late. He confirms that she's been dead for ten minutes; if he revived her, she'd be severely disabled. Blurr is crushed that he lost the human he loves even if he never had a chance to tell her.
Blurr stays in his room while the others search for clues at the scrapyard and (Y/N)"s home, dreading they found a clue;
Dear team Bee,
I am such a wreck being bullied nonstop. I appreciate you guys watching over my back, but I felt like nothing ever worked. by the time you read my note, I'll be dead. Goodbye forever.
— (Y/N)
"Not a word to Blurr," Bee instructs.
Everyone agrees, knowing Blurr liked (Y/N).
The funeral took place two days later. After the funeral, Blurr stayed in his room. Because they don't need to eat for a few days — both Energon and human food — the Bee team didn't worry so much.
Three days pass before Grimlock really misses playing lob ball with Blurr.
"Hey, buddy, how about a game to distract you?" Grimlock asks. The Dinobot waits for a response, "buddy?"
He squeezes himself into Blurr's room and pokes Blurr with his tiny T-Rex arms, feeling Blurr's cold frame.
The rest of the Bee team is alarmed by Grimlock's girlish scream. Though he fears cats, they fear he's not screaming because he saw a cat.
Ratchet dreads telling the others that Blurr is dead and died from a broken apark.
"You mean all because he never told (Y/N) how he feels?" Sideswipe asks.
"That and knowing he lost the one he loved."
The team couldn't bury Blurr with (Y/N), so they hurried his spark with her, happy the dirt is still fresh enough to do so.
After what happened to Blurr, Ratchet set a rule; no one stays in their room. Hoping no one will die from sparkbreak losing a friend.
