What if Ratchet couldn't help (Y/N) after she found out that Bumblebee and Smokescreen are together?

Ratchet dreads (Y/N) basically shut down. Trying to get her to eat is a struggle, and she cries herself to sleep. He knows there are some things he can do but is hoping to hold off and also questions if it'd even be a good idea while trying to pull (Y/N) out of her depression.
Now's not the time, even if it might make her happy. Ratchet thinks as he watches (Y/N) sleep.

Two months pass before communication between Earth and Cybertron is established. While Bumblebee and Smokescreen couldn't be happier together, they've worried about (Y/N).
"We've seen how much you like her," Bumblebee argues, "show her how much you love her. I know it'll still take time for her to get out of her depression, but she thinks no one loves her."
"You can't deny it, Ratchet," Smokescreen adds.
The two mechs know Ratchet can't tell (Y/N) he loves her just yet, but there are other ways to show her that hopefully help her.

(Y/N) seems to be getting better as the days go by. Ratchet enjoys spending time with her, but he isn't sure when he can tell her. Tonight, Ratchet plans on taking (Y/N) out for dinner, but just as friends. Little did Ratchet know that this dinner causes (Y/N) to think about the dates she'll never go on with Smokescreen and if anyone even would love her?

Before contacting Bumblebee and Smokescreen, ratchet watches (Y/N) go to her room, believing she's safe.
"... that's good, but what's the hold-up, Ratchet?" Smokescreen ass.
"I don't think she's over you hurting her."
"Trust me, she'll be happy to know another bot loves her."
Ratchet is uncertain but decides to finally tell (Y/N) how he feels.

Ratchet enters (Y'N) 's room, believing she's asleep, until he gets closer to her bed and sees the blood and knife.
"(YN)!" Ratchet yells.
Ratchet feels a weak pulse. He picks (Y/N) up and rushes to the medbay.
"There's not time to contact June or get (Y/N) to the hospital even if I use the ground bridge," Ratchet dreads, "and I don't have everything I need here."

All he can do is watch (Y/N) slowly die. With his phone in his hand, wondering who t call first; Optimus or Smokescreen? The others would also be heartbroken hearing (Y/N) committed suicide.
"NO!" Ratchet yells; he watches (Y/N) 's heart stop, "I know you loved Smokescreen, but I loved you. I thought I could show you that another bot loves you," Ratchet sobs.
Optimus is heartbroken hearing the news and dreads telling the others.

"NO!" Smokescreen screams as he and Bumblebee sit on the berth in their berthroom, "I should have known (Y/N) lovees me. I killed her!"
Bumblebee isn't sure what to say to comfort Smokescreen. He worries Smokescreen will become depressed and worries about Ratchet.

Optimus orders Ratchet to come to Cybertron, away from the base with memories of (Y/N). Ratchet doesn't object, but Smokescreen worries that Ratchet is furious at him.

There's an awkward silence as the two sit alone in Ratchet's room. Ratchet asked Smokescreen to come by but isn't sure what to say.
"I'm sorry I murdered (Y/N0," Smokescreen finally says,
"What?" Ratchet repeats, shocked.
"She'd be alive and ok if I didn't get together with Bumblebee or at least told her I'm not interested in her. Then you could have told her how you feel."
"You didn't kill her even if you broke her heart. Not everyone goes this far after a heartbreak. Everyone - human and cybertronian 0 deals with rejection differently. You have Bumblebee and friends who support you. Please don't do anything stupid."
"Same to you, Ratchet."
The two mechs hug and look at the last picture of (Y/N); the last time she was happy. They know they should think of the happy times, but it'll be hard for a while.
