Taeko dragged himself out of bed wishing he did not have to get out of bed today. He checked the status of the farm only to get a single [Green Bean]. It pissed him off as much as the catfish sandwich.
"Ugh, today feels so slow. I need to figure out how I can improve my farm. I could add more farmland, but I don't even feel like digging at it." Taeko thought before saying, "Screw it, I'm binging some Code Lyoko."
Getting to his laptop, he pulled up a playlist of the cult classic and began watching as an annoyed Kyu appeared next to him.
"Seriously? You're going to waste your Saturday, binge watching this?" Kyu asked.
"You expect me to go out swinging my dick around for your amusement all the time? I want to just relax for a bit and enjoy my show." Taeko said rolling his eyes. "Enjoy a show I adore."
"Oh wow, there's a lot of fanservice in this. You sure this is an American show?" Kyu asked interested.
"It's French, and just let me enjoy my show." Taeko remarked.
"Oh fine, but I want to watch. I need to give you the changelog anyway." Kyu said producing a bowl of popcorn.

"Penny, sweetie, could you cook breakfast?" Pam said knocking on Penny's door.
She got a door to the face as a cranky Penny came looking at Pam like she was an ant. Tempted as she was to say something, Penny just went to cook. Of course, Penny was going to make breakfast quite spicy. Petty, yes, but Penny wanted to sleep in on her one day when she was not a teacher.
At the Belmont household, Abigail was in the midst of trying to beat a classic game that her parents dare not touch again. Ninja Gaiden Trilogy.
"Son of a bitch!" Abigail spat as she died again.
"Sweetheart, it's unladylike to swear." Caroline said, poking her head in.
"Yeah, maybe years ago. Feminism called bullshit on that." Abigail snarked.
Pierre rolled his eyes to that. As for the Grant household, Sebastian was hard at work for a program for a client. It was a matter of working on a game for Ren'Py. He was hoping for peace and quiet, but Demetrius wanted to interrupt.
"Morning and all that, look could you please leave? I'm in the midst of working on something for a client. And Ren'Py isn't something that's easy to deal with." Sebastian said trying to focus on his task.
"I was going to ask if you could maybe go to the store." Demetrius asked.
"I'd go, but I really need to finish this. I'm on a deadline and can't Maru go?" Sebastian said closer to completion.
"She's relaxing on her day from work." Demetrius said as Sebastian snarled. "Besides, I figured since…"
"What? You can interrupt my work schedule for her benefit? She wouldn't even mind going to the store. I got until 10 am to finish this. If you want me to go to the store that bad, I'll go when I'm gone." Sebastian said annoyed.
"There's no need for the snippiness." Demetrius said, crossing his arms.
"Yeah, there was no need for you to mess with those wolves either." He snarked back.
Demetrius left the room knowing he lost that battle as Robin was never going to let him live it down if Sebastian brought it up again.

"Ok, I'm four episodes in and I'm interested." Kyu said, closing his laptop. "But you need to go out and do something."
"Fine, but where's the changelog?" Taeko asked only to see Kyu gone and a text box in her place.

"Well, I may as well check out those woods. But first, let me go back on my laptop to check out those shops." Taeko said pulling it up the site that game guided him to. "So, a clothing store, a contractor, two curios, a clothing store, and my sister's own shop. Let's check Lily's out first."
He breezed through the options, noting the website's dull design. He had a feeling they were mostly reliant on their local business.
"Ok, I'll take an AC unit and an electric heater. I'll need both for the house later on. Seeing I got the cash, I may as well. She got game consoles…I guess I'll buy me a Switch bundle with Smash. She also got plants…maybe later." He said before completing his purchase. "Let's see, totals at 3,600. Ok, I'll move to Roy's. Japanese Bed? Oh yes. Ok, at 4,300 now. Let's see what my sister sells."
He breezed Hikari's options and he realized something. Why was he bothered when he could ask for a family discount? He moved to another curio shop to find that shop sold [Kegs]. He bought five, and that 10,000 gold was used. He paid the amount and shot Hikari an e-mail to explain what's up. With that, he was heading out to try to get to the Quarry. If he could upgrade the trash cans to be able to get a partial refund on items he threw out, he wanted in. He'd jump over that broken bridge if he had to.

(Grataton Kingdom, South Island)
Hikari was lying in bed as Tim snuggled up to her side. They both did not want to leave their bed after last night. Tim had proven to her that he was a beast in bed, and she was a bit winded. However, the buzz of her phone got her groan.
"Don't pick it up." Tim asked as she did.
"It's my older brother." Hikari said, getting up. "And it seems he's bought some stuff online of the shops here."
"What?! But they've never dealt with online customers." Tim said, panicked.
"That and I know Margaret is a lazy stubborn mule who will fuck up his order. I didn't even know he could order now." Hikari said getting out of bed. "Great, now I have to go to Angora Blue."
Hikari walked over to get on some clothes as Tim tossed her a sports bra to put on. She slipped on matching panties before getting on her black tracksuit. She looked in the mirror at herself. Even though, she was adopted, she looked like a member of the family with her dark skin. It was only her red hair and orange eyes that made her stand out. She adjusted her long hair into two side ponytails before getting on her track shoes.
"Guess I'll go to the Zoo." Tim said walking up to Hikari before kissing her neck. "I do need to keep that place in order."
"That you do, but don't worry about the girls, Tim. You can feel them up later." Hikari said stopping his hands to going on her chest. "Bye."
The two finished dressed and left. Tim ran off for the Zoo for work, and Hikari got to the helipad. Part of her would have flown herself, but she was not going to use her own energy for that lazy redhead. Before she did, she rushed over to Lily's. Lily was awash with panic as Hikari entered to find her sitting on a chair in shock.
"Hikari, I don't want to sound like an idiot, but I have an online order." Lily said sheepishly.
"Yeah, I know. My older brother's doing." Hikari said dryly.
"You have an older brother? Is he a looker?" Lily asked only for Hikari to dope slap her. "Sorry."
"He is, but he's got enough women on him. Trust me." Hikari said dryly. "Now let me aid you in filling his order."
It had not taken long to do so. Hikari had made a call to Martin as she and Lily were saying the boxes to the Heliport. On his chopper, Martin swung up getting the packages and Hikari as they were off for Angoria Blue.

"This is bullshit!" Taeko screamed. "I can make the jump, but there's a freaking barrier!"
The game had a bout of Developer's Foresight and made it impossible for him to just jump over. No, he had to deal with the bundle. Taeko groaned and shuffled off to Pierre's.
"Ah, the millennial farmer returns. How can I help you today? I got some new products in. Rice saplings for 40 gold." Pierre said as Taeko walked up.
"Gen Z actually." Taeko clarified. "I'm 20."
"Taeko?" Abigail said, coming out of the door. "Hey, you up for training?"
"Not today. Take a break to get some stuff done. I'm not really planning for a trip to the mines today either." Taeko remarked. "I just got access to some online shops from the Grataton Kingdom. You know, that place my sister is living."
"Hikari, right? I just connected with her by chance. I found her blog on her making furnishings and what not. I even got her Facebook…she and her boyfriend seem happy." Abigail said as Taeko twitched.
"Boyfriend?" Taeko said stoically as Abigail realized she may have screwed his sister over.
He turned back to Pierre and ordered twelve saplings of rice. He gave the 480 gold needed to pay and took the saplings before leaving the store.
"You done messed up, Abigail. Pray that his sister doesn't come after you." Pierre said.
"As if that could happen." Abigail said with an awkward chuckle.

(Grataton Kingdom, South Island)
"Son of a bitch!" Hikari screeched looking at the newest notification. "Abigail better pray I don't visit because I'm going to skin her alive!"
"Lower your voice, damn it." Margaret said. "And move those kegs."
"Margret, you could just hire some workers for your store." Hikari said annoyed.
"But I'd have to pay them a wage." Margaret whined. "And filing that stuff is hard."
"Then hire an accountant!" Hikari yelled. "Look, you're a dear to me, but you seriously need to pull your weight. I'm rushing around being this town's gofer! At least the others are helping and pulling their weight. You need to do the same, and I don't care if you're nearing 50. Please get some help."

Taeko returned home to the farm and planted all 12 of the rice saplings in the first row using [Speed-Gro] fertilizer on them.
"5 days, huh? Good." Taeko thought before checking the time. "Still morning, may as well work on story paths."
He came to up the keg getting his Apple Wine. He looked at the label customized for his farm before using [Observe].

"Considering my perk from Pam, I won't be making any normal quality wine anytime soon." Taeko thought with a smirk as the bottle went to his inventory. "Now who to give it too?"
There were plenty of options. Shane, the Belmonts, maybe Robin? He could have given it to Pam, but he didn't feel she deserved his first bottle.
"You know what? I need to improve my standing with those I have low relationships points with. Let me check my lowest." Taeko said pulling the list up. "Robin, Haley, Emily, or Caroline?"
He made the decision for Robin, anything just to stick it to Demetrius." Taeko thought.
He put in an [Ancient Fruit] in the Keg, before leaving with Tom as Logan stayed to watch the house. A short jog later, and they were in front of the Grant house, but he noticed Linus was there.
"Oh good, you're here. Take this." Linus said, handing him an axe. "It's Robin. She lost it and I found it, but I'm too nervous to tell her."
"Sure, I'll deal with it." He said as Linus shuffled off.
He entered the house walking into a bit of an argument between stepson and stepdad. Not even bothering with decorum, he had Tom loudly meow to interrupt.
"Is Taeko there?" Robin said, coming up to see him with her axe. "Oh, dear Yoba, you found it!"
Robin happily took back her axe explaining that she lost it in the woods after a bout with wolves. He glared at Demetrius who sheepishly tugged at his collar. A small text box flashed up to let him know he inadvertently skipped a quest.

"Well, I can't take all the credit. Linus had a hand in it, and I was just the delivery boy." Taeko said kindly producing the wine. "I actually came to share my first product from the farm. I'm making wine now!"
"Not bad." Sebastian said, taking it up. "Shadowy Desires? Only you…"
"Well that's fantastic." Robin said, chipperly. "I'm honored you wanted to share it with us. Figured…we wouldn't be in your good graces."
"I can't let Demetrius prevent me from seeing you and the others." Taeko said as Demetrius wavered at him. "Now, where's Maru?"
"Getting the shot glasses." Maru said, coming out with five small glasses. "Pour it out."
"I'll pass. I'm not one to drink." Sebastian said kindly.
"Come on, not backing your friend." Demetrius snarked.
"It's fine. I'm not forcing him." Taeko remarked pouring out four glasses.
Sebastian glared at his stepfather before smirking. Snatching the cup meant for him, he downed him with one gulp before putting the glass down.
"Huh, that wasn't so bad." Sebastian said surprised. "Ain't my jam, but it's pretty good."

"Neat." Taeko thought as he poured for Demetrius.
The others took their shots with Taeko being the last.
"Whew, that was pretty good." Maru said as Robin agreed.
"A bit sharp taste, but it could have been worse." Demetrius explained.
"Well, I can't stay. I got plenty to do." Taeko said before departing.
Tom rubbed his head on Maru, Robin, and Sebastian's legs before hissing at Demetrius as they left. Taeko still have a ton of wine left, and he decided that he could go see San later. For now, the Secret Woods. He went up to the large log charging an energy blast in his hand. He could have chopped it with an axe, but where was the fun in that. He blasted it gaining a few pieces of hardwood before entering.

The woods were thick and crowded with the trees nearly blocking out the sky. A few tree stumps were littered about and Slimes moved about. The standard green ones and there were three of them.
"Tom, rip them apart." Taeko remarked.
Tom triggered his [Boiling Water Gun] and sprayed a slime with hot water killing it with one shot. With glowing claws, Tom sliced through the last two.

Taeko scooped the Amethysts that the slimes left behind. He went out to explore to find two [Morels], and even found a small lake. He sat down by it and got out his fishing rod. He had the bait sitting in his inventory for too long. Using regular bait, he cast his rod. Tom lumbered by his side before jumping into the water wanting to hunt for food.
"He better not steal my catch." Taeko muttered before getting a bite. "Ok, pulling it in!"

"You wanna pay for extra fast delivery?" Martin said surprised. "Aw sweet! This means I can use the Hyper Jet Dr. F made!"
"Yeah, go for it. Just tell him he owes me 2,000 Gold." Hikari said kindly paying Martin.
"Will do!" Martin said excitedly. "But heck, why not just come along?"
Hikari's smile grew into a devious smirk.

"All that bait got me nothing but [Woodskips]." Taeko said happily as Tom munched on a carp he caught. "All right, let's go…huh?"
Taeko took up his phone to get a text from Penny, Abigail, and Maru about a town hall meeting, but Penny's pissed him off. Apparently, Lewis had Pam on the task of telling him. Seeing that he got no notification, he was rightfully mad.
"Tom, head home and get Logan. Meet me in town, ok?" Taeko said rubbing his cat's head.
Tom mewled and ran off to do his task as Taeko rushed for town.

Entering the saloon, he noticed all the townsfolk save for Linus was here. Lewis checked his watch.
"You're late." Demetrius sniped.
"Oh, I'm sorry, but Pam hasn't told me about the town meeting. But considering I was just at your house; you could have found it nice to tell me." Taeko hissed back as his pet trailed behind.
"Regardless, you're here and we can…wait, where's Pam?" Lewis asked.
"Passed out on the couch at home." Penny said tiredly. "Besides, not like that lout contributes."
"Ice cold." Sam said under his breath.
"So, let's begin our town hall meeting. Taeko, I officially grant you your grandfather's spot in the council. It is rightfully yours." Lewis said wryly winking at him.
"Whoa, whoa, whoa. He's way too much of a greenhorn for it. He's only lived here for two—At least put it to a vote." Demetrius remarked.
"Ok, anyone here opposes Taeko taking it up?" Lewis asked.
Demetrius raised his hand and so did Jodi to which she got a glare from Taeko.
"Nothing against you, but I just think you're a bit too young." Jodi said sheepishly.
"Seriously? We have people younger than me in college or running businesses. My sister's 17 and pretty much rolling in money with her business." Taeko remarked. "But I don't hold it against you that you're unsure."
With that, the meeting began covering affairs and the like. Taeko sat through it eating lunch trying not to look bored out of his skull. Then, Lewis got to the agriculture fund which was Taeko's area.
"Progress? Pretty good so far. I've started producing my own liquor. Shadowy Desires." Taeko said producing the bottle. "This is the test run and it's gone well. A shame Pam isn't here. I guess Cosette and Gus can sample the rest. It's apple wine."
Cosette practically snatched it pouring out a glass for herself and her husband. Thankfully, the bottle was still cold. The two downed it.
"This is good stuff you got here. Not bad for a greenhorn." Cosette said pleased as Harvey took up the bottle to get a taste.
"Oh ho, such flavor." Harvey said, finishing off the bottle.
"Well, at the moment, I only have one keg at the moment. I need materials and time to build more. Also, a bigger fund. I'm not only making wine, but vegetable juice as well." Taeko explained. "Speaking of my sister, there's been something I've been meaning to ask you, Lewis. How's our trading market look?"
Most of the town looked rather sheepish as Lewis admitted that JojaMart's presence sort of put a damper on most of that.
"Ok, well here's an idea. Would those producing be interested in opening a trade network with the Grataton Kingdom? My sister could aid in setting that up. We can possibly start small if my sis can set things up. I'd have to set up the proper channels." Taeko said trying to word his thoughts carefully.
"What's your sister's specialty?" Robin asked curiously.
"She builds decorations for neighborhoods, has a hand in clothing design, sales, contracting, fishing, zookeeping, and so on. She's been that kingdom's gofer. She's done a lot, and it's kind of embarrassing to say I feel…well lesser in accomplishment." Taeko said sheepishly.
"Yeesh, it's like you and your sister make these kids look lazy in comparison." George snarked as Alex rolled his eyes.
"Regardless, I…huh?" Taeko said as his phone rang. "Huh? It's Hikari…texting me to come to the beach."
It hit him. He sensed her presence and bolted out of the Saloon down to the beach to see a futuristic airship landing on the sea surfing to the shore. The town and his pet caught up to see the hatch open to reveal Martin and Hikari.
"It's been five years, bro. How've you been?" Hikari said Taeko's instinct was to hug her. "Love you too."
"So, what's up?" Taeko said, breaking away.
"Nothing much. I'm not really staying for long, just to deliver your order." Hikari explained. "Yes, I paid for speedy delivery. So, you called for five [Kegs], a Japanese bed, an AC, a heater, and a Switch bundle."
Taeko tossed Hikari his house key and she and Martin went off to unload the plane to deliver to Taeko's home. Taeko didn't know if he was lucky or not as Hikari had similar thoughts of opening dealings with the Valley even leaving her number with Lewis to talk business in the future. He even got the fund increased…by 50 gold. The town meeting was over, and Hikari had left with Martin back for home.

Taeko closed out the text box deciding to visit the Umbra home. He was curious to see what the deviancy path had in store for him. He entered to find the two sisters fighting over cleaning the couch cushions.
"Sis, we've been over this. Seeing that I have a job, it won't be too hard for you to clean the couch." Emily said tiredly.
"Oh, come on, but…oh Taeko…" Haley said seeing Taeko was standing there.
"Mind telling Haley that she's being childish?" Emily said annoyed.
Taeko was given a choice, three dialogue choices or risk it on his own. He decided to take one of the choices.
"Haley, why not have this be your one weekly job?" Taeko remarked.
"At the very least." Emily asked.
"Fine…" Haley said as a text box alerted Taeko he gained +30 Friendship with Haley.
"Anyway, Taeko. I need to speak you in private." Emily said walking to her room as Taeko followed.
"What's this about?" Taeko asked.
"It's about your sister. I managed to talk to her a bit, and she offered to get some clothing for a tailoring project I want to work on. I want to make something for men's clothing. I just wanted to ask if you could consider helping out in the future." Emily asked hesitantly.
"I'll do it. Whatever you need." Taeko said easily.
"What…really? Oh well, fantastic." Emily said before thinking, "I may have that dream of mine come true after well."
Taeko had left the room not noticing Emily's grin turn a bit sly with a drool coming down her mouth. Haley wanted Taeko to get her some free clothes, but she knew Taeko was not one to bend to do so unless he had incentive.
"I'll need to get him a nice picture." Haley thought with a smirk as Taeko returned home with his pets.
Taeko eyed his new bed with glee before turning the air conditioner. The bed was just like his uncle's and the bedding was perfect. And then there were the new kegs. He had the five new kegs put in the kitchen next to his first one which was done making his [Ancient Fruit Wine]. He shoved that in the fridge.
"Now, that I have six kegs. I have three focused on wine and the other for vegetable juices." Taeko said excitedly.
He got the last ancient fruit, an orange, and a spice berry for three of the kegs. As for the other three, a parsnip, a cauliflower, and a leek. With all of that set, Taeko went about the day relaxing while reading through the changelog.

"I missed the town hall meeting." Pam said woozy.
"Yes, but you didn't miss anything of note. Taeko's got a bigger fund and he's making wine and stuff." Penny said absentmindedly getting a glass of juice.
Pam's eyes lit up like it was Christmas, but Pam glared at her.
"No. You are not using my money to get any of it!" Penny said defiantly. "I don't care what you do, but you are not using my money to get it! Go work for it!"
Penny's eyes glowed as Pam cowed a bit before Penny stormed out. She had made a hasty call to Taeko.
"Yeah, if she tries to buy with money, don't take it." Penny said firmly. "At risk she took it from my money."
"Don't worry. I don't intend to have her as a customer." Taeko said firmly. "Unless she wants to work for it."
"Pfft…work. She'd probably wave her ass at you." Penny said with a dark chuckle. "But if she wants to do that, that's her problem. By the way, I want to ask for vegetable juice. Leek, if you can. I'll pay 150 Gold for it."
"Consider it done, Penny." Taeko remarked.

Taeko is a former employee of the corrupt Joja Corporation. Screwing it over, he got away with it free to chase his dreams and ambitions. An anti-hero and a roughneck, he's shown the town he's no pushover. Running Shadow Farm, the ronin is thrusted into plenty of strange happenings within the valley. His favorite food is pepperoni pizza. His favorite gifts tend to center around gaming, manga, and combat. His least favorite food is sea cucumber as he can only tolerate it in Lucky Lunches as he recently discovered.
[Taeko's Perks]
The Gamer's Mind – Allows the user to calmly and logically think things through. Allows peaceful state of Mind. Immunity to Psychological Mass Effect and Hypnotism.
The Gamer's Body – Grants the user a body to live life like a video game, Immunity to Physical Damage, but not the pain. Sleeping in a bed fully restores HP/Energy, Sleeping in a tent restores HP/Energy by 75% of total amount, and sleeping on an improvised surface (a couch, the ground) restores HP/Energy by 50% of maximum amount.
Made of Iron – You can survive your HP going down to zero, and you only need four hours and ten minutes of sleep to function perfectly. (Downside, you have to bed before 2 A.M. or else you pass out.)
Fighter – All attacks deal 10% more damage. (+15 HP) (Augmented by Anasatsuken fighting style)
Brute – Damage is increased by 15% (Frozen until further noticed)
Gatherer - Chance for double harvest of foraged items. (20% chance of double harvest)
Matters of the Mind - Gamer's Mind has expanded your mind to where you can perform new feats. (Access to learning telekinetic abilities)
Friend to all Children - You are considered a great person for kids to look up to. (This perk can have children more likely to trust you and see you as a role model. It can attract "MILF"s and make it easier to befriend motherly people.)
Fruitful Multiplying - Leah lends you support! Forage finding are doubled when you forage, and the growth of fruit trees are halved (V-Card Boost Doubles the multiplier).
Booze Boss - Pam lends you support! You have the ultimate tolerance. No Tipsy effect from drinking liquor. Any liquor you make is automatically silver quality. Double all sales of liquor.

Emerald Ring - These are from a set of rings call Stat Rings. These rings enhance a skill depending on the jewel on the hilt. The emerald is imbued with the power of speed. (Increases weapon speed by 10%)
Alpha Blacklight Shirt – Body (Equip Item) – Stand apart from any crowd in this dark zip-front shirt with its own blue illumination. (FusionFall collectible) (+1 Defense)(Glow Effect Similar to a Glow Ring)

(A/N: I'll be leaving it up to the lot of you to decide who you would see first for a deviancy path. Pam's already being worked on. As the options for you guys to vote on: Emily, Haley, or Marnie. I don't exactly plan on doing a path like this for Caroline (who I find well meaning) or Jodi (despite the irony of her name being slang for a cheating military wife). Why? Well, Caroline's already got skeletons in the closest. As for Jodi, the idea of her and Taeko having some of physical bout is interesting but it won't work seeing that Taeko and Kent have past history. Either way, next chapter is going to be pretty packed.)
On a more serious tone, I'm so sorry for not updating this story in months. Writing this one is rather difficult, but I got drive to keep at it. Next year will be full of new stuff coming! Here's to 2020! And on that note, I'm so sorry, DB Blackthorned is dragging on to next year. I was supposed to the Z Arcs, but I got one of the original DB to crack out of the way before it.
