Deadlock is now Drift with a new way to look at life. He can't believe how a femme is being told to look at other humans and hopes to help her.

Drift's P.O.V.
It's been two years since I betrayed the Decepticons. It's hard to believe every Autobot on Earth is my friend. I know there are still many Autobots who might not trust me if we can go back home to Cybertron, but that's something we'll deal with.

As I drive down the street, I hear two humans argue. I stopped and paid close attention to the situation. This is more than arguing. I activate my holoform and approach the two women.
"This is none of your business!" The woman doing the harassing yells, but rather than continuing to harass, she stomps away. The other woman thanks me for stepping in and walks in the other direction. I found the angry femme and feel like there's a reason for her anger, even if it's not good, but she will not talk to me.
I didn't think I'd see her again a week later, crying.

(Y/N)'s P.O.V.
I thought I was alone, crying while sitting on the bench. Sure, people are walking by, but no one cares about a crying woman. Until I hear a man clearing his throat as he stands next to the bench. He scared me that I almost fell off the bench, but he caught me. It's strange seeing the same stranger twice a week in a big city.
"Why are you crying?" He asks as we sit on the bench.
"Because my parents say all humans with different skin tones or nationality are evil, and I must call the police on them. I know it's silly, but my parents will beat me if I don't follow this rule," I sob.
I didn't think this stranger would tear up.
"You know it's a lie, so you need to stop listening to them," he tells me, "I'll help you find a new place to live if I have to."
The next thing I know, we're both crying, and he kisses me. Even if it's not on the lips, it's strange, but I'm not freaking out like I probably should be, considering he's a stranger.

I didn't think (Y/N) knew about the Autobots, but she made it clear when she saw my alt mode. I'm terrified she saw me as Deadlock and thinks I'm looking to kidnap her.
"I... I will not hurt you—," I try to explain.
"I know, though I've only seen you as Deadlock, I know he wouldn't be this nice," (Y/N) explains.
I explain to her my life changes as we drive to the base.

(Y/N) didn't think she'd be allowed to stay with us or that I didn't have to convince Optimus to let her stay. She was taught to trust no one, even if they are of the same nationality as her, except for her parents. I have a lot of work to do to help my new friend.
