Taeko got up to munch on some leftover fried chicken and some bread from the gathering yesterday while using that [Strawberry Jelly]. He wanted to take it easy this Sunday, but then he saw the television remark that luck was not going on Taeko's side. Even with the [Rabbit's Foot], that meant he was going to have no real luck today.

"Damn it." He muttered, putting food and water for his pets.

San had come over, looking a bit concerned.

"You ok, San?" Taeko remarked.

"I'm not even sure. Moro wants me to live among humankind…even if I wanted to…how was I going to do that?" San said unsure.

"Even if I wanted to…I can't exactly have her live with me. That would be a cluster of crap my way, I don't want to deal with." Taeko thought.

"I didn't exactly come to ask you to live with me. It's just I found this place with a man who says he knows you. Harry Rodan? He let me say with him." San said as Taeko sighed with relief.

"Speaking of him…I need to visit him. I owe him that." Taeko remarked.

"Before you do…could you help me towards getting some clothes to blend in?" San said awkwardly.

"I'll get you some gold. Rodan can help get you some clothes, but I can at least give you some clothes just sitting in my closet." Taeko said, going to his closet.

He handed her the [Basic Pillow Jacket] seeing it was the only thing he could give her at the moment.

"I tend to find stuff in the caves. If I find anything that could fit you, I'll bring it back for you." Taeko said as San hugged him. "You're welcome. Now, we have a farm to deal with."

Well, there was not much to gather aside from eleven bunches of [Garlic] and one [Green Beans] to which he let San eat the lone beans. They watered before Taeko went the henhouse to feed the tenants there as San watered the bowls. Now all his chickens were at five hearts and crapping out [Large Eggs] both brown and white. He gathered seven of them white and five of them brown.

Moshi was rolling around outside and Taeko let him be before going to the shed.

"So, what do you make in here?" San asked.

"Jellies, wines, vegetable juice, mayo, and pickles." Taeko remarked.

"Jellies? Would it be too hard to ask for jelly out of Salmonberry, if you have any?" San asked. "I know I can't pay you with cash, but I hope my labor would net me some freebies."

"I suppose I can do that for you." Taeko said going out to his fridge before returning with a [Salmonberry] to put in the jar to make jelly. "I'll deliver it when it's done."

Speaking of pickles, Taeko put two of the garlic in the other two jars as well to make some. Three of the large eggs went into the mayo machines. As for the other kegs (including Chen's), blueberries, cherries, and strawberries all even.

"Thanks for the help, San." Taeko said giving her 1,000 Gold. "Tell Harry, I'll pay him a visit."

"You owe me a spar later." San said before leaving.

Taeko nodded and put the eggs away. So far, things have been calm.

[Your Farming Skill has grown! Farming Level 6 has been achieved! +1 Proficiency toward Hoe and Watering Can. [Cheese Press] recipe unlocked! [Quality Sprinkler] recipe unlocked! [Hardwood Fence] recipe unlocked!]

Seeing the new recipes that he had at his disposal, he hastily got [Quartz] in the furnace to cook into [Refined Quartz]. He called his pets and went off into the woods to chop some wood unaware of what was to come.

Maru took her Sunday to work on her tools as she wanted to better herself so she could go to the Mines by her herself. She was in the midst of adjusting her [Bracer Blasters] when Robin rushed into her room with her axe.

"Maru, we got a problem! I think we need your blasters." Robin said worriedly. "The towns being attacked by monsters!"

Maru did not speak but got on her gear rushing out into town. What she arrived to see was a [Squid Kid] nearly melting her face with a fireball. She could see the others were actively fighting the beasts while others moved to get people to safety.

"You think these came from the Mines?" Robin asked slamming her axe into a Squid Kid's face.

"No. If they were…they would be attacking our home first and the lake. So, no…something about this isn't right." Maru said firing at several of them. "And where the heck is Taeko?"

The man of Maru's thoughts was in the forest hacking up trees for wood only to sense danger back home.

"Taeko!" San said running up. "One of my wolf brethren has alerted me to the presence of monsters in town. Moro remarks they're not form the Mines…meaning someone's brought them here."

Taeko's look hardened.

"I'd help, but it seems some monsters are in the woods. I need to help them." San said rushing off as Taeko ran home with his pets.

Arriving at the farmhouse, he spied a few figures that the game identified as Sauseubeam gang members.

"It's just a farm." One of them said.

The game identified the sub-leader as Xever Montes.

"More from the 2012 series…surprised he's a part of a Korean gang. Oh well, evil is equal opportunity." Taeko thought, moving quietly.

"I know it's just a farm, but there may be valuables to take." Xever said darkly producing a Molotov cocktail.

Logan triggered his [Nemetrix Dissiada] transforming into a [Silver Lobo] before racing forward to confront the crowd seething anger in his snarl.

"I think that's a guard dog." The same woman said stepping back.

Xever pulled a pistol before cocking it readying to shoot Logan.

"Not a problem." Xever said with a laugh.

"Yeah, no. It is!"

Taeko made his presence known with his Raikiri in hand and Tom came forward.

"For a group of rogues, you got no real honor if you're selling out to a megacorp like Joja. Not that I expected any from you." Taeko said taking a stance.

"Wait a second, the Bloody Black Shadow? Figures, you'd own this dump." Xever said as his glare at Xever tightened.

"Tom, [Icy Wind]. Logan, [Hyper Voice]." Taeko said as Tom leapt in front emitting a wave of frost from his mouth.

Logan emitted a powerful howl with the combination disorienting them and giving them damage from the cold to reduce their speed. Xever's pistol was frozen forcing him to drop it only to get kicked in the face by Taeko.

Xever flipped to his feet twirling his butterfly knives readying to fight only to get a call from the boss stating that they needed more hands on the docks.

"What do you mean one of the Triads is here? I thought this was only Shad-fine, I'm on my way to the docks." Xever said before hanging up and yelling, "The rest of you, make sure this place is ravaged and the Shadow is a dead man!"

Xever took off leaving the fight to three to five. Taeko knew Tom would be fine in a fight without orders, but he had only worried about Logan.

"Logan, [Sludge]!" Taeko said before clashing blades with one of the mooks.

Logan puked up toxic slime from his mouth into the face of a chain-wielding one getting a scream out of her as Tom slashed away with [Crossroad Killing]. Taeko swatted the sword off his opponents' hands before kicking him to the ground. CRUNCH! He brought his feet down on his downed opponent's kneecap shattering it getting a scream. With his pets' help, he mowed through the rest.

"Good." Taeko thought putting the points towards intelligence, wisdom, and charisma.

"Logan, Tom. Go to the docks and help Penny and Ling." Taeko ordered as they both took off.

Taeko went in to off-load what he did not need and arm himself. Having what he needed, he moved for town, but not before tying up those goons even if they were injured. He spied the cocktail Xever dropped and took it with him. As he moved to the Bus Stop, he eyed several cars there….clearly Sauseubeam. He had an idea deciding to make use of that cocktail before running for town. [Observe] gave him the information on the monsters.

[Enemy – Mutated Squid Kids – One hit wonders, yes, but they spit fireballs that really burn a being. Unlike normal Squid Kids, it's clear these ones were mutated to be more aggressive and take at three hits before dying. Stats: HP (3) / Damage (36) / Defense (3) / Speed (3) / EXP Given (15) / Drops: Yes]

[Enemy – Serpent – While having nothing really in defense, they boast a lot of HP, speed, and attack. Fragile speedsters that fly around…some say that their dwarf dragons from the East. They like to swarm their prey. Stats: HP (150) / Damage (23) / Defense (0) / Speed (4) / EXP Given (20) / Drops: Yes]

The monsters were all over and his allies were not only dealing with just the beasties, but also the boss and his goons. He saw the leader right away clashing blades with Marlon. The leader was an older gentleman who sported shades, slicked black hair with a grey streak, sports a half black opened shirt, spiky rings, and a gold medallion. He also had a big red and blue snake tattoo on his left arm and many other tattoos on his torso. The game referred to him as Bauza the Snakehead and he was giving Marlon a serious run for his money.

"Taeko!" Abigail said before slicing through a serpent. "Man, where were you?"

"Dealing with some unwanted houseguests! You guys all right?!" Taeko said before slicing through a [Squid Kid] with his knife. "Shadow Yakuza, regroup!"

To his relief, Sebastian, Abigail, Shane, Leah, and Maru were still in one piece. Ragged, but alive.

"Don't worry about the others. Lewis has them holed up in the doctor's place. We managed to fight off most of the goons that Bruce Lee knockoff brought, but he's too tough for us. Uses ki like we do." Abigail said as Taeko's look darkened.

"Ok, we need to deal with the monsters, first." Taeko remarked. "Seb and Abigail, Ling and Penny need back up on the docks. A boat of them is coming and there's a dickhead out to aid our enemies. GO!"

Abigail and Sebastian took off leaving Shane, Leah, and Maru to help Taeko out. Taeko tossed Leah the pair of [MP5] telling her to mow out as many as she could. As a Squid Kid came to spit a fireball after him, Robin came down on it with her axe.

"Damn, Robin! Coming in clutch!" Taeko said impressed.

"I'm not going to let the young ones do all the fighting. Not when I still can. Taeko, I'm glad you're here to help…even if my husband thinks this is your fault somehow." Robin said.

"About that…from what Marlon and that Snakehead are talking about…apparently someone discovered that Marlon lives in the valley. Apparently, old enemies….who know?" Shane said much to Taeko's relief. "So Taeko's probably just a cheap bonus."

"Remind me to deck your husband." Taeko said before whirling around to punch a [Serpent] into the ground before stomping on its skull.

He collected a [Spicy Eel] which was automatically sent to the [Inventory].

"By the way, those things have been dropping lo-" Abigail said only for Taeko to interject saying, "Keep them. You have rightfully earned from what you have slain."

"Good, because I'm pretty attached to this stuff I got." Shane said gesturing to the [Football Helmet] on his head and the [Swamp Recon Rifle]. "Don't think I'll ever go monster hunting, but this rifle will look good on my wall."

"Guys!" Leah said. "A new wave is coming in."

Taeko cracked his knuckles and they charged for battle. Taeko, with his three swords, rushed several Squid Kids and Serpents alongside Abigail. Robin was more focused on the Squid Kids as Shane and Leah covered her on matters of the Serpents. Gaining a [Mega Bomb] from one of the fallen monsters, he threw at the oncoming horde blowing them all to smithereens. Thankfully, the buildings were only minorly scorched. The ground was littered with monster guts, several [Diamonds], [Void Essences], [Solar Essences] and a few [Bombs].

Bauza noticed this and leapt back from Marlon.

"So, you're the Shadow Yakuza that has been making the rounds? Figured you'd be one of Marlon's guppies." Bauza said dodging a strike from Marlon. "But the fact you have a Triad living here is a rather interesting detail. Hiding something, oyabun?"

"I hide nothing but my growing hatred for you, Snake." Taeko said as Bauza chortled.

"Well, let it fester because you won't fight me today." Bauza said leaping onto the roof of the Saloon. "Because this was all a test."

He whipped out his phone and made the call for the Sauseubeam to retreat.

"A test?!" Taeko snarled.

"Well, I figured while I get my payback on my old rival…I'd see what the young blooded hot shots are like. Maybe see if you're worthy of joining with us." Bauza said dodging an energy blast from Taeko and Abigail. "Like I said, not today."

"Boss!" Xever said coming up looking a bit rough. "We need to get out of here…that Triad bitch called for backup."

"Then let's not stay any longer. I leave you all with a parting gift." Bauza said before he and him used smoke bombs before making their exit.

"Marlon, you okay?" Robin asked.

"Kneecap's sore, but I live. We-"

BOOM!

An explosion rocked the area as Taeko could only smirk before explaining that while on the way, he planted a few bombs on their cars.

"The bombs would have been not effective having no source of flame, but one of those douchebags pulled a Molotov cocktail that I hid in the engine of their prized wheels. It was a matter of when." Taeko remarked before collecting the valuables that littered the ground.

"I sense only that Bauza is alive…injured, but alive." Taeko said as Marlon raised his sword.

"I'll deal with him. He's a danger I should have finished from long ago." Marlon remarked before being tossed a [Life Elixir] from Taeko. "Thanks."

"So much for Xever." Taeko thought as Robin whistled for Lewis that it was safe.

"Thank goodness, you all are safe." Lewis said as the villager came out.

"All in a day's work." Taeko said only to get a glare from Demetrius. "And before he says anything, turns out their leader and Marlon got history. I was just the side dish."

"Where is he?" Alex asked.

"On the way to finish him off. Oh, and the weights are going to be a bit late. I actually need to go into town to pick them up from the post office." Taeko said sheepishly as Alex nodded.

Logan and Tom came up with Sebastian, Abigail, Ling, and Penny who all looked a bit roughed up.

[Your pets fought valiantly to defend the docks! +100 EXP each! Tom has leveled up to 14, 8 Stat Points are ready to spend.]

He spent those points before hugging both his exhausted pets.

"It's over, isn't it?" Clint asked.

"I'm afraid, not." Myth said arriving with Linus. "Taeko, it seems my prediction was right. It seems the Sauseubeam were dabbling in monster mutation. I foresaw a threat coming from the woods."

"The woods?!" They all said.

"I'm going to take it on alone. Logan, Tom. You two hang back, comfort the scared and rest up." Taeko said going onward.

"You don't think you're going to just take it on alone, do you? We may be a bit hurt, but we got your back!" Leah said confidently.

"Mom, please hang back." Maru said noting the bleeding wounds on Robin's arm. "You're going to need a bit of medical attention."

"Just promise me, you'll come back." Robin said as the Shadow Yakuza readied themselves.

Shane had agreed to stay back with Leah, Penny, and Ling while Taeko and the others went ahead to the woods.

"I'll make sure the town's shielded. Go." Myth said as Taeko rushed off with the others.

"So, can we go back to our normal lives?" Morris said impatiently. "Some of us have work to do."

Never had Linus wished that he could strangle the bastard so bad. His poor employee looked like she wanted to die as Morris dragged her to work.

[Sudden BGM Change: Tension Before a Confrontation - Metroid Fusion]

Taeko, Sebastian, Abigail, and Maru walked through the forest slowly and quietly. Taeko had given his friends a [Life Elixir] to recover before downing a bottle of [Blueberry Wine]. Taeko, Sebastian, and Abigail could sense an energy that…was off. Then it leapt out at them forcing them to scatter.

It was another beast from the depths of Final Fantasy, a green ugly beast with a rough backside and a mean glare as it whipped his clawed tail.

Taeko hastily used [Observe].

[Boss – Humbaba – An ugly mutated beast capable of using magic in its attacks. It can fire a barrage of needles when it's not using its bulk. Completely immune to electrical attacks, but weak to poison. Stats: HP (20,000) / Damage (120-?) / Defense (30) / Speed (10) / EXP Given (?) / Drops: Yes]

"Scatter!" Taeko said as the four dived into different directions.

Humbaba breathed out plasma that scorched the ground that they once stood on.

"Okay, it looks like it's immune to electricity." Taeko remarked before thinking, "So Raikiri's out…looks like I'm just dual wielding."

Maru opened fire with a barrage of shots at which seemed to not slow it down one bit of seemed to harm it harshly.

[Humbaba Current HP: 19,950/20,000]

"Maru, I hope you brough another weapon because those blasters are just tickling it!" Sebastian said as Humbaba charged after her. "I don't think so, ugly."

With his [Ice Mace], he swung at his legs tripping it up to fall on the ground. Taeko asked Abigail if she could poison it, and Abigail used [Poisona] causing purple lightning to zap Humbaba who now had a sickly purple glow.

[Humbaba Current HP: 19,000/20,000 | Debuff: Poison (-1/16 HP for three minutes, -10 to Defense)]

"Shoot it while it's down!" Taeko said as they all opened fire on it with their firearms.

Humbaba roared as it began to get up before letting out a barrage of needles using [1,000 Needles] with his body. Maru ended up with several of them in her shoulder, Sebastian took several on his side, and both Taeko and Abigail took some to their chests. Their armor had lessened the damage, however. Taeko still took damage from the [Thunder 2] attack.

[Taeko's Current HP: 850/970]

"[Ittoryu: Sanjuroku Pound Ho]!" Abigail said performing a circular swing with Espada.

The swing launched an air compressed projectile that slammed into Humbaba's face staggering him, but he still stood with a mighty roar.

[Humbaba Current HP: 15,300/20,000]

"I got an idea. Abigail, what magicite you have in use?" Taeko asked.

"Irfit…" Abigail said as they dodged another attack.

"I got an idea, but we need to lead this big guy to a trap. Follow me." Taeko said making a run for it as the other followed.

Humbaba chased after them as the four made it across the wooden step bridge to the small, connected islet as Taeko dropped all 12 [Bombs] on the ground as Humbaba made its way across.

"On my mark, get ready to jump. Abigail, Maru, Sebastian, ready yourselves to give all you got." Taeko said as Humbaba inched closer. "Now!"

Taeko and Abigail made the leap with Sebastian grabbing Maru to jump with them over Humbaba's head.

"[Hellfire!]" Abigail said triggering the Magicite as she began to glow.

Maru overclocked her [Bracer Blasters] as they began to hiss and emit steam, as Sebastian and Taeko unleashed a dual [Kamehameha]. Abigail summoned the Esper which scorched Humbaba as Maru fired her 'Desperation Shot'. The combined attacks along with the explosives on the ground created an explosion that blew the four heroes away before hitting the dirt.

[Taeko's Current Health/Energy: 690/970 | 800/869]

Maru's weapons cracked and she had to take them off because they were overheating.

"It better be dead…" Maru said.

[Sudden BGM Change: My Hero Academia OST – You Say Run]

Out from the flames, Humbaba walked down injured, but more pissed off them ever. Maru facepalmed as Taeko checked how much health was taken.

[Humbaba Current HP: 6,120/20,000]

Too little for his liking, and Taeko decided to try something. Taeko blasted Humbaba with an energy attack before shouting, [Emperor's Death Beam]. A barrage of rapid fire [Death Beams] came out of his pointer finger tearing into Humbaba as Taeko's [Energy] was going down like a stone. Taeko only managed to get fifteen before cutting himself off before exhausting himself.

[Humbaba Current HP: 2,620/20,000]

"This asshole won't just die!" Abigail snarled helping Taeko up. "And I need time to heal you."

BLAM! A shot rang out from Shane using the [Swamp Recon Rifle].

"Hey ugly, stay the hell away from my friends!" Shane yelledbefore firing another shot.

Leah was pissed at the [MP5s] being practically useless from far away as Abigail cast [Cura] to heal her allies right as Taeko shoved a [Spicy Eel] down his mouth regaining lost energy. With at least half his energy back, he was ready to end this fight.

"Abigail, I need to borrow Espada." Taeko said as Abigail gave him the sword.

Espada in his right, Eclipse in his left, and Gunshin in his mouth, he got into a stance. Taeko holds Espada and Eclipse at an angle against each other and rotates them rapidly as he runs to the heated tempo of the song.

"[Santoryu Ogi:…." Taeko before he lunged at the roaring beast. "… Sanzen Sekai!]"

SHWING! Humbaba was slashed with the force all of three blades. The flaming beast screamed as three enormous slashes over Humbaba with his attack, yet Humbaba still stood on last leg. Sure, Taeko got smacked with a punch that shattered his [Subatomic Shirt] and sent him flying back…but he smirked seeing Humbaba's health.

"Finish it off!" Taeko said tossing Maru his [Protoplasmic Cannon].

Everyone else opened fire before Taeko hit the ground. With one final growl, Humbaba fell to the ground…dead to the wind and everyone. Taeko felt sore all over, but Maru helped him up.

[BGM Ends, Usual SV BGM Continues]

"That was awesome." Shane said as he and Leah ran up. "You okay?"

"Yeah, peachy." Taeko remarked. "Other than the fact those Sauseubeam assholes cost me my armor. Humbaba landed a critical hit."

Abigail immediately used [Cura] again to heal his injuries, and Taeko was glad the Game kept him going.

"Oh it's ov-" BOOM! Humbaba's body exploded, and his head came flying off rolling at their feet. Where Humbaba's stood was a [Treasure Chest], pair of [Sooper Dooper C.R.A.T.E]s, and lightly burnt money.

"The rest of you'll can have the money…I want the glowing crates." Taeko called out. "On a side note, Maru…you can have my [Protoplasmic Cannon]. But Leah, I am going to need my other guns back."

The money was counted up to be a mere 20,000 Gold which they spilt with Taeko handing off his share to Shane citing that he just wanted the glowing crates. He already had plenty of cash and went up to the first crate before opening it up. Everything in it was either uncommon, rare, or ultra-rare gear much to his joy.

His [Omnitrix Kicks] were shoved into the [Inventory] as he put on the [Gamma Blacklight Shoes] which glowed alongside the blacklight pants. He also put on the [Albedo Jacket]. Sure, he wished he had Ben's jacket, but Albedo's red jacket and grey t-shirt was cool in its own way even if the defense was crap. Abigail could feel the magic brimming off the clothes and was rather willing to give up the icy armor.

"If only it had the hood." Abigail said taking it up.

"I have the hood. And you can have it…Gwen 10,000 is a look suited for you." Maru said sheepishly. "But can you open the other one to see if there's anything I can give?"

"If there's weapons in there, we're keeping them. You already got Taeko's old gun." Abigail said as he and she opened it together.

"Maru, is it okay for me to have the [Protoplasmic Cannon]?" Abigail asked only to be handed it. "Thanks. I really do need a good firearm."

Taeko got back his guns from Leah, and the inside of the chest was more gold and a magicite.

"Score." Abigail said taking it up. "[Fenrir], eh? Well, I'm going to get plenty of use."

Maru took the [Academy Training Armor] wanting to add to her defense and this time Taeko took the gold in the chest which was 2,000 of it before all walked back to the town. Ling Shan had gotten the Triads to come and 'clean up' the mess. Unknown to the townsfolk, the Triads were knocking out those gangbangers still alive for interrogation later. Once they were all moved, the town was cleaned up, and the Triad were gone.

"Well, I'm glad we can continue the day, I guess." Lewis said a bit sheepishly. "Taeko, are you and your friends all right?"

"Yes, I just needed to get my pets and check on everyone." Taeko remarked as Logan and Tom came up. "Good going, you two. You did good."

Everyone went on with the day as his friends went on ahead home. Taeko went over to Vincent giving him the [Omnitrix Kicks] which shrank for Vincent's feet. Vincent happily took them, and Taeko returned home to unload. His actual firearms went back in the closet along with a few other things as he preferred only using them in the city. After putting some other things away, he left the house for the library.

"Guther, I got something for you." Taeko said tossing him [Dwarf Scroll III].

"Good work, kid." Gunther said as Taeko left right away.

He got a text from Xander that the store now had new gear in stock up to Level 12 gear. Taeko realized he needed to go on a shopping trip and headed home. He wheeled out the hovercar, but not before texting his friends that Xan had new stuff in stock. He drove off for the desert first to visit Beli first.

Beli was a bit skittish to see her boss admitting she was considering she saw the Sauseubeam and Triads move in and out of the road. She was just relived Taeko was fine.

"I have your cut. 4,000 and the donation box is still open." Beli said as Taeko collected the gold.

Taeko's donation was the five [Diamonds] he got, which Beli squeaked at as he asked if he qualified for a reward.

"Well, you did, but can I take a rain check? This was unexpected." Beli said as Taeko headed out. "Where are you…."

"I have business to care for…I'll pass back after I'm done shopping." Taeko said before leaving in his car.

Taeko raced over to XanTech to see Xander talking to Woozie and Ran Fi Li.

"Taeko? Oh, I was just about to call to ask about these two." Xander said gesturing over to them. "They said they're associates of yours."

"They are." Taeko explained.

"Never figured you'd get in with organized crime." Xander remarked.

"To be fair, they're kind of the good guys. Better than Sauseubeam and the Purple Dragons. The Triads came to my aid, and I did with them." Taeko mused.

"Fair enough. I shouldn't judge…Souamil and all that shit." Xander remarked. "You want me to arrange a discount?"

"15% off the weapons." Taeko said as Woozie smiled. "I owe Woozie for his help to get the funds I needed to help my own group and so on."

"Thank you, Mr. Maelstrom. I am quite interested in these different weapons; they remind me of an innocent time." Woozie said warmly. "But I was just browsing for now. I'm glad to see you're managing your assets well, but I do hope you have an assistant to deal with it. You shouldn't be overworking yourself."

"He does have a point." Xander said. "An assistant would allow for you to manage assets better, and have your money collected for you much easier."

"I'll consider it. Woozie, if you got any recommendations for me, I'll consider it." Taeko said as the Triad boss took their leave.

"Man, Taeko. You rolling in deep. What they specialize in?" Xander asked.

"Thankfully not drugs. They prefer vices that can be better controlled like gambling or booze. Also, street racing." Taeko remarked as Xander smirked. "Either way, I'm here to get some girl's clothes for a friend."

"Browse away, buddy. And don't forget to keep investing in the shop so I can produce better items. Right now, I only really have the common and uncommon stuff." Xander said sheepishly. "But sales are going good in the clothes department. I did get one or two Ultra Rare items in stock."

Taeko nodded and went ahead to shop.

"I went shopping at the place I have a partnership at. Figured I'd get you some new clothes…something not purple." Taeko said presenting the Downtown set of clothes. "Something for you to wear on the field trip."

Angel excitedly took the clothes, going upstairs to change into them before coming down in her new clothes.

"It's the stuff from XanTech. So, it's padded for defense…just in case." Taeko said ruffling her hair.

"Thanks….I really like it." Angel said appreciative.

"You're like her knight in shinin' armor." Sandy teased.

"She's trying her hardest, but she's red in the face doing this." Taeko thought. "Maybe I should make a bigger donation. It'd be funny."

By the time she was done, he bowed in thanks for the service. Beli bowed back as he left returning for home. Parking the car back in the garage, he walked on other to the Knight home entering the door.

"Taeko, were you the one to give my son those shoes?" Jodi asked. "He'd been running around faster than I can catch him."

"Oh…that was me. I got him those shoes…something I got in the mines. I actually got Vincent a bit of a full outfit. Stuff from XanTech, a shop I happen to have a stake in. It's similar stuff to what you see and my friends wear. Its defense lined for protection." Taeko said, showing her the clothes. "And the shoes, they may…boost moving speed."

"Hmph. Well, these are pretty nice…and I am glad you went through the trouble." Jodi said taking them up. "I assume these are for Monday."

"Yeah…a bit of assurance is all." Taeko remarked.

"Thank you then, for being concerned for the well-being of my son then." Jodi said warmly.

Taeko nodded and left for the Sanford Ranch. He found Jas playing with her jump rope nearby.

"Oh, hey Uncle Taeko." Jas said as Taeko ruffled her hair.

"Heya, squirtgun. I was looking for your aunt, where's she?" Taeko remarked.

"She went with Shane to do a delivery of meat." Jas said much to Taeko's bewilderment.

He figured they would be around her considering the monster attack, but then Jas said Leah was nearby watching her. Taeko presented her with the new clothes saying they were for Monday, and Jas looked up at him with a little smile.

"Sorry, it's not purple." Taeko mused before walking off.

"It's fine. Thank you for the gift." Jas said politely.

As Jas went over to Leah's, Taeko went for Rodan at the 'Abandoned House'. Harry was cleaning up the old place with San.

"Hey." Taeko remarked.

"Taeko." Harry said, tipping his bowler hat. "I got some new hats in stock."

"Cool. I got something for San though. Some new clothes." Taeko said, giving them to her.

She quickly took them and changed right in front of the two who did not mind at all. San looked in the mirror surprised she seemingly looked normal. San thanked Taeko profusely as Rodan remarked that he will deal with getting her underwear. Taeko did take a look at Rodan's stock.

"I'll take the [Trucker Hat]." Taeko said putting the gold on the table.

Harry put the green and white hat on Taeko's head, and it just felt right. Taeko returned home ready to relax only to sigh to see Pam was there.

"I was just looking for you to see about the schedule change." Pam said sickly sweet.

"Pam, I'm not in the mood at the moment to deal with you, but if take this bottle of [Blueberry Wine] and piss off….I'll let you work on Tuesdays to Thursdays." Taeko said, tossing Pam the bottle.

"Of course, boss. Thank you." Pam said profusely.

"You better be thankful." Taeko said glaring at her. "Now shoo."

Pam took off running leaving Taeko to gather what was ready in kegs, jars, and so on.

"Ok, 6 bottles of [Blueberry Wine], 6 bottles of [Cherry Wine], a jar of [Salmonberry Jelly], two jars of [Garlic Pickles], three jars of high quality [Mayonnaise], six bottles of [Strawberry Wine] for Chen, 5 bars of [Refined Quartz], six bottles of [Maple Syrup], and three jars of [Blue Jazz Honey]. What a haul." Taeko said wiping a bit of sweat aside. "Ok, the wines that are mine, the jam, pickles, and the mayo can be sold in the bin."

He put those items in the selling bin while putting his [Albedo Jacket] in the closet switching to his [Signed Ace Jacket]. He put the six bottles for Chen in a box with the receipt stuck on it as usual, pricing it at 2,700 Gold. He put said box in the selling bin before sending a note to Lewis through Logan delivering it. Logan would come back with another note with Lewis's number and a short message of 'Just text me.'

"Well, I'm done for the day. It's finally time to relax." Taeko said plopping down on his couch.

"Not just yet." Kyu said surprising him.

Kyu looked no longer pregnant and was looking maternal.

"Daughter or son?" Taeko asked.

"His name is Verone." Kyu said. "And look at me, I look like a total MILF now."

"Yeah, yeah…but what do you want?" Taeko mused.

"Well, it's your last week of Spring. And I wanted to see you in person when I overheard your little conversation about getting an assistant. I figured because you've done such a good job, I'd let you have a little reward. An assistant for you to make use of…however you want. I'll even let you pick who. Just name it and I'll see if I can do it." Kyu mused.

"Hm…that's a tough one. Lana Kane from Archer would be nice, but that'd be volatile. I can bang this one, right?" Taeko asked.

"Let's just say, they will be at your complete use and command." Kyu said with a wink.

Taeko thought about it once again and had an idea.

"Velma Dinkley from Scooby Doo." Taeko remarked. "While Daphne does look good, Velma has her charm plus she's extremely handy."

"Smart move. I'll have it done today." Kyu said getting up. "I'll arrange it and I'll send a text to Woozie that you have an assistant now. Wait around 'till the afternoon. And I'll throw it some bits from her 2012 version…I'm feeling generous."

Kyu was gone and Taeko texted his friends he was on his way to getting an assistant. He mostly got positive feedback on it glad Taeko was going to expand. The game explained that he could now look around town for assets once the assistant thing was set. Taeko decided to get training after putting twelve cherries in the [Kegs].

Taeko focused on meditation and ki control hoping that he could at the very least gain some added points to his energy meter which he managed to do even if it was a small boost. Taeko wondered if he could pull off flying, but the growl of his stomach had not changed his mind to food. He considered going to the Saloon for lunch, but he figured he may as well get to the city now. He entered his home to switch up his gear while also securing a jar of [Honey] as a welcome gift for the assistant.

[Infiniti G35] was the car of choice this time as he got in as his phone rang which he put in speakerphone as Logan and Tom hopped into the car.

"Penny, what's up?" Taeko said, starting his car.

"Just testing out the new wheels. I did have to get it repainted, but it works like a dream. I wanted to say that I noticed you got the children new clothes. That FusionFall stuff you and the others wear. I wanted to ask where you got them from." Penny said as Taeko was driving.

"XanTech. It's run by a friend of mine, my business partner. It's in East Hardwood. If you got the hachiman, show it to him." Taeko remarked.

"Thanks." Penny said before hanging up.

Taeko cruised by a burger joint he used to haunt back in the day deciding to go through the drive-thru getting himself a bacon burger, Tom a fish burger, and Logan a steak burger. After paying for it, the three were eating at that abandoned motel's parking lot.

"That was some good burger." Taeko said munching on the rest of his fries.

Logan was already finished eating and asleep in the backseat while Logan was in the front just wrapping up. He meowed and snatched the rest of Taeko's fries with his mouth to his annoyance.

"Hungry little bastard." Taeko said under his breath.

Taeko let it go only because still had the sodas. He was about to finish drinking his when the cell phone rang again with it being from Woozie. He put it through his car speaker.

"Ah yes, Taeko. I got a message from an associate of yours that you've gotten yourself an assistant to help working on expanding business. While I am glad to share the city, do be careful." Woozie remarked.

"Sure, Wooz." Taeko said before Woozie hung up.

[Stocks, Assets, and You]

[XanTech and Beli's business are among the assets you have. You can obtain much more within the Ferngill Republic. Assets are properties that can generate income for you. Obtaining some assets will a mission or set of them completed before obtaining them. Some assets can even provide missions for you. Your cut of the profit will be at a fixed number that your assistant will manage. Stocks are a bit more on the wire as investing in companies will have the risk that if the company is successful, your investment nets profit. If not, you lose it. Your assistant will mostly handle that.]

The game did give information on how the assistant system worked for the most part before mini-map updated with new spots on it. Included where his new office was…that the assistant was working out of. The location was an office building, thankfully not in any gang-affiliated area. Instead, it was Verdant Bluffs, ironically up the road from where the road that would lead to Calico Desert. Supposedly, as Taeko mentioned, Rockstar Games got the inspiration for the name in the in-game neighborhood, or it was the other way around. Regardless, it was a rather nice place to be around. It had a large park and everything for a nature lover…including ironically enough Coral World.

"The game really seems to make me realize that this place was more GTA inspired than I realized." Taeko said to himself before driving for the Bluffs.

It was all a pleasant drive, but then he noticed up the road that some mook in a hoodie punch a man off his clearly expensive bicycle before pedaling off with it. Taeko did not need to do anything, but then he saw that the thug was Purple Dragon. He pulled onto the sidewalk right in front of the biking thief who swerved right to Taeko smacking the idiot with his car door. Sure, there were marks on the car, but Taeko promptly grabbed the thug throwing them into the wall.

"Tom, Logan, deal with this douche." Taeko said as said pet lunged at the thug.

Taeko wheeled the bike over to the owner and recognized the former victim from his old job.

"Thanks, man. I…Taeko?"

"Nicholas Ark." Taeko said as Nicholas took the bike back.

"Dude, it really is you. Xander was off and on about you being alive, but here you are in the flesh. Well, man am I glad to see you!" Nicholas remarked.

Nicholas was like Xander and him in people who Joja's shafted. For Nicholas, he was the first to go because of pet food. Nicholas was an avid pet lover. Taeko remembered how he flipped to find out what Joja made their generic pet food out of. Nicholas quit and basically sued because his dog, Treble, got ill from the food. Taeko had been tasked to cover up the lies Joja Company made, but he secretly gave Nicholas the proof he needed to nail them. Sure, Taeko had to deal with a pay cut for a month, but it was worth it even if Nicholas did not realize it was him.

"Same. But I'm surprised you're still in town, though. After the trial, you left the island." Taeko remarked.

"But I came to make this place the base for my company. I run my own organic pet food company, Animal Oasis." Nicholas said kindly. "All thanks to the mysterious Joja employee who e-mailed me the information to win the case. I never did find out who."

"Yeah, about that….that was me. I was 'Mr. X'." Taeko explained.

"Then you saved me twice today." Nicholas mused. "We should catch up."

"I got a place to meet up at, but I may as well give you a ride." Taeko said.

The bike was put in the trunk as Logan and Tom got back in the car after urinating on the unconscious thug.

"By the way, that's Logan and Tom. Strays wondering the farm I took up…and I took them in." Taeko said as Logan licked his face.

"Good taste in pets, they're really well-cared for." Nicholas said, getting in the passenger seat.

As Taeko began driving, they caught up on what the other was doing. Taeko was rather glad his old work buddy was successful with his business.

"It's not about the money, though. I just like making good pet food." Nicholas said humbly. "Sure, I do own several homes, but I don't exactly like flaunting it. Except through the bikes….I do like biking."

"Ironic, I just barely marred the millions club for my farm. Familiar with Shadowy Desires?" Taeko asked.

"That's your brand? I had bought wine from that little place in Little Asia…it was great. A bit expensive, but I assumed mark up from the sellers." Nicholas said wryly. "But if you're producing ingredients, we should do business."

"Yeah, yeah, I'm down." Taeko said snickering.

"Pretty insane life you led though. Monster hunter, yakuza leader, and farmer. Sounds like the game of a lifetime." Nicholas joked. "But seriously, if I do need anything, I'll call. And you can drop me here, my rides in the parking lot."

Taeko stopped in front of a snack shop as Nicholas and him exchanged numbers. Nicholas got out while getting out his bike from the trunk.

"Later, Taeko." Nicholas said before waving his goodbye as Taeko drove away.

Taeko was told by the Game that he completed a [Random Event] and that there would be more scattered across the city to do triggered at random. Taeko waved off the text box and arrived at the destination, a seemingly ordinary office building that came with a garage. It had two floors and sported the insignia of the [Stardew Shadows] syndicate on the doors. Parking on the side, he had Tom and Logan follow him up to the door. A text box appeared in front of him.

[Welcome to the Office!]

[This is your office building for operations concerning your business, your HQ. You can host meetings here that you would not have at your home, like business meetings with your business associates. Your assistant will operate primarily out of this building. The building can be upgraded and customized at your discretion provided you have the funding for it. The garage can also store cars with several spots for you and your assistant. Optionally, you can rest here if you wish or have your pets hang around in your assistance's care.]

Taeko used his phone to unlock the electronic lock as the Game instructed as he and his pets went in. It was clearly rather sparse, but the text box flashed on options on how to customize it. He followed the mini map upstairs where his and her assistant had their offices. He did find a room with a set up for the pets which Taeko led Logan and Tom to go ahead in. And then, he found his assistant's office.

"Velma was always really cute." He thought before entering.

There she was in the midst of unpacking. He sighed with relief to see it was one from the original continuity. Same chin-length auburn hair, freckles, and glasses. Of course, her wide figure was hidden a baggy, thick turtlenecked orange sweater. He could still welcome her backside from her red skirt.

"Ahem, Ms. Dinkley." Taeko said clearing his throat.

"Oh, Mr. Maelstrom." Velma said, bowing respectfully. "It's a pleasure to be working for you and your company."

"Glad to have you aboard." Taeko remarked slyly using [Observe].

Much to his befuddlement, the backstory was rather vague. He wondered if Kyu had anything to do with it.

"Yes. Miss Kyu informed me of the operation going on the Triple S and while I do have my reservations over your Triad ties….it won't be too much of an issue. After all, the pay is pretty good." Velma said guiding him to his office. "Allow me to show you your office."

It was rather bare, but the desk, luxury office chair, snazzy computer, and view of the ocean were rather nice. Even came with a black leather office with a pink heart on the side.

"Never thought I'd have an office or a lovely assistant. Have a seat, and let's talk." Taeko said as he took his rightful seat.

The talk was mostly on duties. The Game also provided text boxes to explain details as well.

[Your Assistant and You]

[Two important factors with your assistant are how she thinks of you and her paycheck. Kyu does give her a base paycheck (20,000 Gold) which you can add to it through your phone. With her paycheck risen, you can unlock more options/interactions at certain intervals. (Although, they can be unlocked by raising your friendship.) The more money in her paycheck helps to also raise loyalty. You can customize her appearance with outfits and hairdos, but obviously, you're limited to what you can have her wear at first. You can even have her change how she refers to you/how you refer to her depending on the same factors. Treat your assistant and paying her well will reap plenty of rewards. Small cutscenes to showcase new outfits and/or new hairdos. Outfit control meaning you can pick the outfits that your assistant wears, only in the safehouse obviously. You can make requests of your assistant, of course, this depends on payment/friendship. Note that she can offer small quests as well.]

"While I know you just got here, I do have a few tasks I need you to do for me while I continue to set up the office. Well one important task…the other two are a bit more personal." Velma mused.

Taeko decided to do all three and was presented with a text box issuing a quest.

"I need you to finish the setup of the company's Zuzu Stock Exchange account. You can do it from your computer or phone. As for the personal tasks, there's a bookstore in this neighborhood that's struggling a bit. Hendai's. I was wondering if you would make that an asset. I'd be grateful if you could invest." Velma said before sighing. "There's also the matter of my living arrangement. I did just move into the island, and I was wondering you can arrange that for me."

"Consider it done." Taeko said before leaving. "Oh, my dog Logan and my cat Tom are in the pet room. Watch them for me, please."

Taeko moved the room to tell said pets he was heading out for a bit. Velma affectionately rubbed Logan's head as Taeko moved for the exit. The garage was now accessible and Taeko parked his car inside. He noticed another car…a worn relic of the late '60s was there….probably Velma's.

"She needs a new set of wheels…and I just saw a chance for brownie points." Taeko thought walking out of the garage.

Walking down the street, he went to work on setup from his phone. The process was a bit annoying, but he had gotten it out of the way in time to get a message from Nicholas. Taeko found himself with stock from Animal Oasis to which the Game told him was currently worth 100 grand. He had gotten a message from Velma who was impressed with the obtainment of stock already and he played it off.

"Hendai's, huh? Reminds me of that game I played…I wonder if there's a Hitomi running it." Taeko joked to himself before finding the place. "Here it is."

He entered the shop to hear arguing.

"So, you were going to consider selling the building without telling me? When were you going to tell me?"

He saw a dead ringer for Hitomi. She was a young slim-figured Asian female in her mid to late teens, with black hair held in long pigtails with two bangs framing her face. The ends of those pigtails were dip-dyed bright green. She wore a short sleeved black shirt with a red, blue, and green circle, blue jean shorts, a green belt, black stockings, matching shoes, a few earrings on the ear, and dark eyeshadow.

"When I got it sold, of course."

"So, about the apartment upstairs? My apartment." Hitomi remarked. "You can't just decide to sell the place without warning your tenant. Old man, you didn't even bother to tell me things were in the red."

"Not like you were paying…"

Before said old man could go on, Taeko cleared his throat getting both of their attention.

"We're closed."

"Someone left the sign open. Regardless, I can't help but see this train wreck. Of course, if this is how you treat your one worker…I guess I'll have to retract my offer to buy this place. I guess you're out 30,000 Gold." Taeko said walking towards the door.

"Wait! Let's not be hasty." The old man said. "We can talk about it. You're probably one of the users online who took up my ad."

Taeko was not, but the old man needed not to know that.

"Maybe, but I may as well go online to bring this up." Taeko mused. "It's unfair treatment."

The old man was shushed by Taeko as Taeko looked over at Hitomi who looked nervous.

"I don't know what you're talking about." Hitomi said trying to play dumb.

"Hmm…does the words, Bloody Black Shadow, mean something to you?" Taeko asked.

The look on Hitomi's face was one that went ghost white as Taeko put the 'Closed' sign on the door and locked the door.

"Now, we should talk about this." Taeko mused. "I assume there's a back office for the old man."

Hitomi dumbly nodded as she and him were now in it.

"I didn't catch your name because from what files are here…never mentions an employee." Taeko said looking through the paperwork.

"It's because of my school. I go to this fancy prep school in the ritzy part of Zuzu. You know…Rockford Hills?" Hitomi explained. "I'm an orphan and Rockford Prep let me in as a 'charity case'. In reality, they just are using me to get a tax break to justify a raise for administration. Students cannot be employed while in school and I can't afford living in the dorms."

"And the tattoo?" Taeko asked.

"I'm in a spot of debt to the Sauseubeam. It was stupid, but I was out of cash. And I took to playing card games to win cash…and I was out 2,000 Gold. I got the tattoo as a debt marker." Hitomi said, looking at him with worry. "So…maybe not throw me out."

"On the one head, I'm sympathetic to you. I could easily deal with your debt. Hell, I could easily bankroll your education, up your pay, and let you stay in your apartment with your nice job you enjoy with spending money. But what do I get out of risking my neck for you?" Taeko remarked, crossing his arms.

"Well, someone who can lay the charm to keep the bookstore running?" Hitomi mused.

"I literally have a personal assistant who can get employees to run this place better. Besides, I'm pretty sure your Sauseubeam ties will come back to haunt you. Honestly, I don't really have to help you if I don't want to. I can't exactly be seen as the bad guy." Taeko said nonchalantly.

Hitomi thought about it and had an idea. One that she noticed other girls at her school did with older man.

"You can be my sugar daddy!" Hitomi blurted out.

The two did not speak, just staring at each other.

"I mean not like I haven't done that before…and she is desperate and old enough." Taeko thought while using [Observe] on her. "She's just a year younger than Maru."

Taeko cleared his throat.

As for your debt, I'll pay it, but you'll be on the hook for me. Meaning you'll have to do…let's say two extra jobs for me. You can take extra jobs helping the Shadow Yakuza…with the open to join if you want later on." Taeko said curtly.

The idea of double pay was enough to have Hitomi accept and Taeko had to go to process of money transferring. Hitomi got her debt paid which was a relief as she could get rid of the tattoo later.

"Well, now you can start paying back for the 2,000 Gold." Taeko said as Hitomi blushed.

"Right now? Aren't we going to do foreplay or go on a date or something?" Hitomi asked.

"I'll fix that soon. And don't presume, I'll want something sexual all the time. I do actually need the company and I do want to at least see you succeed. Maybe if you prove your worth, I'll train you in the art of monster hunting." Taeko said as Hitomi fixed herself up. "Moreso however, play your cards right, and you may be spoiled."

Taeko left the store with Hitomi mostly relived that went well. His Huniebee added Velma and Hitomi's numbers. She was curious on the monster hunting as she was aware of the Adventurer's Guild. He checked on the time to see it was closer to two in the afternoon.

"Now for the safehouse…I wish I could jack wheels like in GTA or can I? Can I even take cars from parking lots?" Taeko said to himself.

The Game's response was that he could and even explained one of the features from the GTAZ update was carjacking. Of course, Taeko was going to stick to taking cars from parking lots. It was odd to see that cars from the GTA games were among the real cars, but he shrugged it off. At least, the Game had a caveat that he was more likely to succeed in stealing cars from GTA than regular ones. As Taeko walked down the street zipping up his jacket, he spied a [Blade] being driven by a Sauseubeam member into an alley. He smirked and followed to see a transaction going down between a mook and a hooker. It was a simple matter of a sneak attack on the member, thankfully a mook. As for the hooker, he let her go to which she got the content of the guy's wallet. They shared a silent nod before she left the scene. Taeko checked the car for anything only finding a [Bag of Weed] which he shoved in his [Inventory] before energy blasting the mook to oblivion. Taking the car, he checked his mini-map to see if there were any pleases to customize and found in Banningfield. It was a risk, but Taeko managed to drive there having to pass through Blueberry and the hills to get there.

The options were a drop-down menu to Taeko. As much as he wanted to spurge out, the car was not for him. He debated on whether he could get it for Hitomi.

He got a simple orange paintjob on the car, red coloring on the interior, a [Slammin Bumper] on both rear and front bumpers, a convertible roof, and a bit of nitrous. In the end, it cost him 5,000 Gold.

"At least the Game mods the registration of the car to make it look like it's mine." Taeko thought before driving back to the Bluffs.

He had found a safehouse for Velma, a low-end house with a garage that could hold a few vehicles. It was in a cul-de-sac…a seemingly abandoned one. The other houses seemed empty with cars in the driveways.

"GTA spawn cars, at the least." Taeko mused as he bought the home. "I always thought 10,000 was too little for an uber useful place."

"For one, I had to deal with your task among other things. I saved the bookstore, but I can buy it complete. So, you get to manage the new Kiba's Books." Taeko mused as Velma lit up. "But there's a bit of a complication."

He explained Hitomi's situation.

Taeko pulled up Velma's menu to look at the options on how he could be referred to and simply selected to be called by his name.

"Please, Velma. Call me by my name…at least when it's just me." Taeko requested. "Also, I want to ask about the status of the Animal Oasis stock. And if we could sell 10% of it to have spending money for any other stocks."

"I'll have it checked into, Taeko. I may even have missions for you to focus on keeping your stocks one." Velma said with a little grin. "Is there something else I can do for you?"

He looked through the options and made his choice.

"I'd like you to dance for me." Taeko said leaving Velma was red in the face. "I'd like you to work that body of yours."

"Of course, Taeko." Velma said demurely. "Wait in the conference room. I need to put Logan back in the room."

Taeko went in the conference room and got comfortable. Not long after, Velma entered the room taking the center as she began. She turns around and grabs her short hair with her hands. She starts a series of hip rotations which were a bit awkward at first. Velma, herself, had a flushed face as Taeko was enjoying the show. She made thin circles and shook her rear. Taeko could spy her pantie-clad ass as her skirt flittered around. She slowly came to a stop, taking a few breaths.

"Excellent work." Taeko said.

"Of course, Taeko." Velma said still blushing. "It is my job."

Taeko got up pleased.

"Well V, I am rightfully pleased. Finish up and have the rest of the guy off." Taeko said before leaving. "Have a good afternoon."

Taeko had walked out back to the empty neighborhood where the safehouse was looking over the spawned vehicles. Then, he noticed the GTA V version of [Sentinel XS] there among them. He settled for it by driving it to Los Zuzu Customs and getting it repainted and the license plate altered. By the time, he arrived back at Kiba's, he called Hitomi as he pulled up.

She came in to see a black car waiting for her as Taeko got out tossing her the keys wordlessly before walking up the street. Hitomi just blankly looked at the car and decided she had to go on a test drive with it. Taeko swooped over to get his pets and his car back before returning home. He returned home getting his wheels in the garage.

It was a long day and Abigail came up with others of the Yakuza.

"Yo, Taeko. What's up?" Shane said high fiving him. "Thanks for getting Jas some new clothes."

"It's no sweat. Either way, I got some news. Our business now has an office building in the city, a little place in Verdant Bluffs. I even own a bookshop now." Taeko mused with a laugh. "I got a personal assistant arranged for me as well."

"Damn, you work fast for three weeks." Leah remarked. "I have been living here longer…and I can barely say I did so much."

"Regardless, it's been a marathon. I need to chill out and relax." Taeko said with a sigh. "So much has happened. Would you believe I ran into one of my old Joja buddies? He runs Animal Oasis."

"The pet food gu…oh yeah, he was from Joja." Shane said with a chuckle. "What happened?"

"Some asshole stole his bike and I jump kicked him off. We caught up and I got 100,000 Gold in stock from him along with a potential buyer." Taeko said as everyone looked at him in shock. "I can't say it's luck, just good karma for helping that guy out."

"Is there any way for me to get a discount on books there and where is it?" Penny asked.

"Hendai's. Or at least it was because I rebranded it as Kiba's Books." Taeko said. "And I'll arrange it, so all my Yakuza members get discounts. I'll have Velma get down on it."

"Velma, that's your assistant?" Maru asked. "Tell she doesn't look…"

"Pretty close to the one from Scooby-Doo. Kinda prefers her over Daphne." Taeko said as Sebastian laughed.

"Regardless, this setup will go good for you in the future." Ling Shan said kindly patting Taeko's back. "So, what's on the agenda tomorrow?"

"Taeko agreed to accompany me on taking the kids on a field trip to Coral World." Penny said, clearing her throat. "The trip starts at 10:00 and we'll be back by about 2 in the afternoon."

Taeko nodded as the gang dispersed. It was a long day, but Taeko could finally relax. At least after he filled the [Kegs], [Mayo Machines], and the [Furnaces] for making [Copper Bars] to transmute into [Iron Bars].

"Man, I forgot to give Velma the honey." Taeko said putting it back in the fridge. "Ah well."

Active - These dogs are very energetic. They really like running and enjoy frequent walks. (Allows them to regain lost health easily)

Hunter - These dogs are natural hunters. Send them off into the world and they'll hunt and dig for things. (Current Level: Artful Hunter (4))

Loyal - These dogs want to be closer with their owners and love to be pet. They like to follow their owners around. (Easier to build relationships with them, will be more willing to guard the house, and protect its owner.)

Brave - No matter what, they will not back down when faced with danger. They will fight tooth and nail to defend who is precious to them. (If defeated in battle, will revive itself back with 50% of its HP once)

Fighter - They are of the fighter class making them a warrior. (They are more likely to assist if you are in danger. Will also fight enemies on its own.)

[Skills]

Hunting (Artful Hunter) – The link dogs have to their predator ancestors, this dog has a feel for what's valuable and what is not. Can possibly bring back valuables, forage-ables, or junk. The item depends on which area Logan is sent to hunt. (Likelihood of junk item is decreased by 2%).

Combatant - Will be able to tactically fight in its own without the real need for commands.

[Attacks/Supportive Moves]

Iron Jaws - The user lets a wicked bite that's as hard as iron. This may also lower the target's Defense. (Power : 80)

Howl - The user howls with the primal spirit of a wolf loudly to raise its spirit, which raises its Strength stat by 2.

Dig - The user burrows, then attacks on the second turn. It can also be used to exit dungeons. (Power: 60) / Dive - The aquatic version of digging, and thus can only be used in areas of water. (Power: 60)

Sludge Bomb - The user hurls out a mass wad of unsanitary sludge at the target with a 45% Chance of a Poison debuff. (Power: 90) (This move cost 30 MP and can be upgraded)

Flame Wheel - The user cloaks itself in fire and charges at the foe, and can thaw out the user if it is frozen. (Power: 60) (This move costs 25 MP)

Hyper Voice - The user lets loose a horribly echoing shout with the power to inflict damage. (Power: 90) (This move costs 50 MP)

Nitro Charge - The user cloaks itself in fire and charges at the opponent. (Power: 50) (Increases Dexterity whenever used by +2) (This move costs 30 MP)

Nemetrix Dissidia – (Pet Equip Item) – Joja's attempt at replicating alien technology to which they succeeded. This device, when put on an animal (preferably a canine or a feline) allows them to transform into the various Final Fantasy beasts. Voice control and/or the animals themselves can will it. [Available Transformations: Lesser Lopros, Killer Mantis, Silver Lobo, Chimera] [Warning: Do not let a sapient creature use it, it will fuck them up bad!]

[Perks/Traits]

Clever - These cats are fast learners, and some say that they can even understand human speech when spoken to! (Will be more likely to understand commands and be more perceptive to conversations by humans.) They will also be more tactical in the battle, able to fight without the need for a command.

Friendly - These pets tend to be friendly towards people and will happily greet others around them. (Easier to befriend and can help aid to befriend other people)

Glutton - These pets will eat significantly more often, and much more messily. (Will eat slightly more, can sniff out food within a mile radius.)

Ninja - Stealthy in the day, will sneak in the shadows of night as a true member of the rouge class. (Will prefer to assist the master or fellow combatants than fight on its own)

[Skills]

Food Seeker – Can use its nose to seek out food as long as it has a scent.

Hunting – The link cats have to their predator ancestors. They will go out to hunt. Can possibly bring back a small animal, valuables, forage-able, or junk. The item depends on which area Tom is sent to hunt.

Ninja Cat - Could potentially learn genjutsu, taijutsu, and ninjutsu. Gains to dexterity will be much easier and there are potential level up bonuses.

[Attacks/Supportive Moves]

Thief - The user attacks and steals the target's held item simultaneously. (Stolen items will appear in the master's inventory, if that inventory is full, then no item can be stolen.) (Power: 25)

Crossroad Killing - The user slashes the target the instant an opportunity arises. Critical hits land more easily (chance for a critical is at 40%) (Power: 70)

Shadow Divide - By moving rapidly, the user makes illusory copies of itself to raise its evasiveness (Ups Dexterity by 2, Chance to confuse enemies).

Aqua Jet - The user lunges at the target at a speed that makes it almost invisible. This move always goes first, and it gains a Water elemental bonus. (Power: 40) (This attack costs 20 MP)

Bounce - The user bounces up high, then drops on the target on the second turn. This may also leave the target with a 30% chance of paralysis. (Power: 85)

Flash - The user emits a blinding light from its body. It can used to blind opponents for a few turns to reduce accuracy. It can also be used to shine in dark places and at night. (This cost 5 MP.)

Boiling Water Gun - The user shoots boiling hot water at its target. This may also leave the target with a burn. (Power: 80) (This attack costs 30 MP)

Icy Wind - The user lets out a freezing wind. This may also lower the target's Speed. (Power: 55) (This move costs 10 MP)

Shadow Strike - The user extends its shadow and attacks the foe from behind. This move always goes first. (Power: 40) (This move costs 20 MP)

(A/N: This one was a long haul of a chapter, but I did have a lot of ideas to introduce. For one, the integration of more things from GTA seeing that I did promise new related stuff in the GTAZ update and the later ones. Velma almost did not become Taeko's P.A. Originally, I was considering Irma from the '87 TMNT show, but I was advised by friends that Velma would be more useful. They were not wrong. If one takes the original continuity (the 60's show, A Pup Named Scooby Doo, What's New, Scooby Doo?, and the movies), Velma has a lot of feats. Ironically, they barely bring up that she's a martial artist and has some pretty strong arms (do check the wiki). Hitomi comes from a Ren'Py game I know of. [You'll have to PM me for the name.] Personally, I think the game does not play well. They do have nicely designed characters though, and I figured it'd be easier to import some of them over.)

(A/N2: Now the assets will be handled behind the scenes and won't all be listed. Velma will take over external stuff outside Taeko's farm which includes Beli's business. I will take suggestions for asset missions. Yes, Sandy's shop is on that list. To clear the difference, a complete asset would be something Taeko owns completely. A regular asset will be something he has a stake in to get a cut of the profits.)
