After trying for three years, Smokescreen and (Y/N) are finally going to have not one but two babies. Something shocking happens to one baby after birth.

"I know it's been hard, but I want to try again," (Y/N) tells Smokescreen during dinner.
For three years, the married couple has been trying to get pregnant. Smokescreen has been happy it's been negative pregnancy tests rather than a positive test turned into a miscarriage. Just the positive thoughts Smokescreen thinks turn him on.
He waits for (Y/N) to do the dishes before making out with her and carrying her to their bedroom. They take each other's clothes off before Smokescreen lays her on the bed and resumes the kiss. He then kisses down her body before going in and moving slowly. Even slowly causes (Y/N) to moan in pleasure. Even if she didn't want to try to get pregnant, she was in the mood for a little fun. Smokescreen tries to hold off pounding his wife, but he quickly picks up speed.
"S-Smokescreen!" (Y/N) moans.
The fun continues for a few minutes before Smokescreen cuddles with (Y/N).
The couple tries to avoid taking a pregnancy test and waits for their appointment with Ratchet in a month.
Though (Y/N) didn't tell Smokescreen she should start her period a week after their fun. Here it is, the day of the appointment, and she's late.
Ratchet planned on doing a blood test; happy cybertronian technology allows him to get the results in two hours. Hoping this isn't the fifth time that he has to tell the couple they're not having a baby. He already worked with a doctor at the hospital to see if (Y/N) struggles to get pregnant, and tests show she shouldn't have a problem. He also made sure Smokescreen's holoform was working correctly.
Two hours pass before cheering can be heard in the base. The other Autobots have to see what is going on; happy Smokescreen and (Y/N) will finally have the baby they've been wanting...
... but no one thought of twins. That added to everyone's excitement.
Ratchet loves seeing how happy the couple is every time they come to the base to check on the twins.
Thirty-seven weeks fly by. (Y/N) wakes up feeling pain. She wakes up Smokescreen and calls Ratchet, though the plan is to wait until her water breaks to go to the hospital. Smokescreen tries his best to support his wife.
"I'm not sure what else I can do to support you," Smokescreen admits as he hugs his wife.
"You're doing fine," she assures him as she hugs him.
Four long hours pass before (Y/N)'s water breaks. Smokescreen worries she's in too much pain for the drive to the hospital.
Ratchet and June meet the couple at the hospital.
"You still have a while to go," Ratchet tells the couple.
Both June and Ratchet can stay and try to help (Y/N), who really was hoping for a drug-free birth but knows it's a protocol for a mother expecting twins to get an epidural in case delivering the twin turns into needing a c-section.
"This will also help you rest before delivering twins," Ratchet explains as he puts the epidural in.
Optimus comes by to support the couple. Though everyone wants to be here to support them, the delivery room would be crammed, and Ratchet would rather limit how many friends are here if he needs to do a c-section. (Y/N) can rest for a while but isn't able to sleep.
"We'll have our babies soon," Smokescreen says and kisses (Y/N).
A long fifteen hours, eight at night, and (Y/N) is ready to deliver the twins. Smokescreen was told delivery could take a while, especially since (Y/N) is tired.
It's a slow ten minutes before the head comes, resulting in much pain even with the epidural. (Y/N) squeezes Smokescreen's hand as he watches his first child be born. Optimus was expecting him to pass out.
Once the first baby is born, the happy couple has ten minutes with (him/her) before (Y/N) is ready to deliver the twin. Ratchet closely watches the baby's heartbeat as delivery is slower this time, but he doesn't have to intervene with the delivery. It's a long ninety minutes before he sees his friends holding their twins.
"Even though they'll have their hands full with twins, I don't think this is the last time she'll be having a baby," June whispers.
"No, I think we'll be back here someday," Ratchet agrees.
Smokescreen ends up crying as he holds his (son/daughter). Everyone watches the baby's hair change color to blue with yellow streaks. Even though it's not a lot of hair, Ratchet is certain the baby's hair color will stay that way.
"We already have a lot to explain to our children, and now (baby's name)'s hair color," (Y/N) smiles.
Ratchet lets the couple spend ten minutes with the babies before insisting that (Y/N) go to sleep. He also needs to give the twins an exam to make sure they are healthy.
Smokescreen watches Ratchet, feeling happy to have two babies without h his wife and already arguing with himself about thinking about baby number three, knowing it's way too soon to think about that.
These two could keep us busy, Smokescreen tells himself, or be so easy and (Y/N) will like to have more kids. We shall see, but for now, I'm happy to finally have children with my beautiful wife.
