A sacrifice angers Optimus.
"You understand what is at stake and what it will cost?" Megatron asks, "we want the same thing!"
"No, we do not. What you want is power," Optimus argues.
"Think carefully, old friend. If I must, I will do this without you, and if you do not join us...you are against us."
"I will not join you!"
"Then this is goodbye!"
Neither saw (Y/N) until she ran and jumped in front of Optimus. Though she didn't jump high enough to reach his chassis, Megatron aimed low enough to hit her.
Optimus catches her in his servo and lays her body on his arm. Even though she is tiny compared to Megatron, his weapon didn't kill her instantly, but Bumblebee and Optimus know there's no time to get her help.
"Why would she do that?" Bumblebee asks.
"B-because I love him," (Y/N) weekly tells them.
Optimus moves (Y/N) onto his service and moves them to his mouth, hoping for one last kiss.
"It should have been me," Optimus says.
(Y/N) uses the last of her strength to hush Optimus and kiss him.
"Save Cybertron and everyone you care about most of all."
Optimus watched (Y/N) die in his servos.
Megatron enjoys hearing Optimus cry.
"She'll die in vain," he taunts.
Bumblebee takes (Y/N)'s body, knowing Optimus is furious.
"I will not forgive you for this!" Optimus rages, "(Y/N) died for love and honor!"
Bumblebee watches Megatron and Optimus fight. He's never seen his leader this angry before. Bumblebee didn't think he'd go as far as cutting off Megatron's head with his ax.
Optimus falls to his knees and cries.
"As the new leader of the Decepticons," Starscream starts, "I order all Decepticons to retreat for now."
A few of the cons question his decision but obey.
"Optimus, are you ok?" Bumblebee asks.
He hears Optimus repeat (Y/N)'s name repeatedly until Optimus screams her name.
He's going to be hurting for a long time. Bumblebee dreads.
