Yoruichi flashed through all of Seireitei with Ichigo on her shoulders. Ryuji followed her without a word so that their movements are discreet. Finally, they reached Yoruichi's secret hideout. Yoruichi placed Ichigo on the barrier and sat down while taking short breaths.

"Here….", Ryuji told her as he pulled out a bottle and tossed it to Yoruichi.

"What is this?", Yoruichi asked after catching the bottle that was shaped like a test tube.

"The nurses from Squad - 4 said that is an energy tonic. I drank one before coming to the Senzaikyu. It's very refreshing.", Ryuji told her.

"Is that so? Thank you.", Yoruichi thanked her as she opened the cap and drank the tonic.

"Fine. Now… first, are you aware that your Zanpakuto is a constant release Zanpakuto?", Yoruichi asked Ichigo.

"It is? 'Constant Release?' Like Zaraki Kenpachi's…? No wonder its shape was different from other swords. And it never transformed when I called its name. Then, is Ryuji's Zanpakuto the same?", Ichigo asked in surprise before noting the details on his Zanpakuto.

"Yeah… You're going to teach him how to get Zangetsu's second release.", Ryuji replied with a nod.

"Second release?", Ichigo asked in surprise.

"Not only Zangetsu… Every Zanpakuto has two stages of release. The first release is called 'Shikai'. And the second release is called 'Bankai'. It's mandatory for a captain to be able to perform both.", Yoruichi explained to Ichigo.

"Mandatory?", Ichigo asked her.

"Yes. Except for one. All captains of Gotei 13 have mastered 'Bankai'.", Yoruichi told them.

"One?", Ichigo asked her.

"Zaraki Kenpachi.", Ryuji stated, making Ichigo stand in shock.

"In the long history of Soul Society. He's the only one to become a Captain without being able to perform 'Bankai' or even knowing the name of his Zanpakuto. It shows how much Gotei 13 values his fighting prowess and dedication. Having fought him, you should know best of all!", Yoruichi explained to Ichigo.

"Captain of Squad – 8, Kyoraku Shunsui.", Ryuji replied to Ichigo.

"Well, that is true… But, a Ryoka who only had a couple of months of experience in being a Shinigami could not have knocked Kyoraku out by 'pure luck'.", Yoruichi stated to them.

"Oh yeah… The difference between the power levels of Shikai and Bankai, though dependant on one's innate ability and discipline, is roughly considered five to ten times greater.", Yoruichi informed them with a smirk.

"An amazing increase, right? But, in order to achieve 'Bankai', even skilled fighters train for more than 10 years.", Yoruichi informed them.

"W-Wait a minute! I don't have that time-", Ichigo's question was interrupted by Yoruichi.

"I know! But there is a way. There are serious risks involved, but you'll use a completely different method to achieve 'Bankai' in three days.", Yoruichi told them as she showed three in her hand.

"A Tenshintai. It's a vital Spiritual tool of the Onmitsukidō. It forcibly draws out a Zanpakuto's true form and materializes it.", Yoruichi explained as she stood in front of them with the Tenshintai.

"The essence of Shikai is to communicate and to synchronize with your Zanpakuto. For Bankai, the materialization and submission of the Zanpakuto is the essence. Materialization means to summon the Zanpakuto into the living world.", Yoruichi told Ichigo.

"It would take several years for most people but you two, even though it ended in a draw, fought two great Captains of Soul Society. You must have already achieved Materialization or something comparable to it.", Yoruichi told the two.

'You heard me… You haven't mastered your Shikai yet. Until you do that, do not utter the word Bankai', Raijin told Ryuji.

'Tch.', Ryuji's lips twitched in frustration as he went into deep thought.

'Okay then… Teach me. How much do I lack in its mastery and how I can change it?', Ryuji replied with agreement.

'Come then…', Raijin said as he brought them to Ryuji's inner world.

"So… Shall we start already?", Ryuji asked as he unsheathed his Zanpakuto.

"Yeah…", Raijin replied, summoning his own Zanpakuto.

'As I thought… He does have one as well.', Ryuji thought to himself.

"Open Your Eyes, Raijin Kurogetsu!", Ryuji called out, activating the Shikai.

'Amazing… The sheer amount of Reiatsu that erupts is dominating…', Ryuji thought to himself as he noticed the Reiatsu Raijin let out of the Zanpakuto he held.

"Here I come, Ryuji!", Raijin said as he flashed to Ryuji's face and slashed at Ryuji.

"Hmpf!", Ryuji blocked the slash and pushed Raijin's blade off.

Raijin flew back a little and stood at a distance. Ryuji flashed from his position to behind Raijin and slashed at him. Raijin blocked the slash by placing the blade on his back. Ryuji, pointing to Raijin's face, chanted out a Kido.

"Hadō #4, Byakurai!", Ryuji chanted as he pointed at the Raijin's face with their index finger and generated a concentrated bolt of lightning.

"Smart!", Raijin said as he jumped off the path and landed a bit far away.

Ryuji flashed behind Raijin with a winner smirk on his face. Raijin's eyes widened at Ryuji's blade raised high up in the air with Reiryoku flowing in it. Ryuji, with a larger smirk, brought the sword down creating a large concentration of lightning that slashed its way to Raijin.

'I can still sense his Reiatsu… He's there behind the dust.', Ryuji thought to himself.

"That was good…. Great so to say. But, it is not complete.", Raijin said as he walked out of the dust, unharmed.

"Y-You're unharmed?", Ryuji asked in shock.

"Yes… Your attack was strong… But not strong enough to harm me. Do you now realize what I meant?", Raijin asked Ryuji.

"…I do. Now, how do I master the Shikai?", Ryuji asked Raijin with a sigh.

"I would love to teach but we don't have much time…", Raijin replied to Ryuji.

"What?! We can sti-", Ryuji's protests were interrupted by Raijin.

"But, I can teach you three things that will help your growth for now.", Raijin replied, interrupting Ryuji.

"Alright… What are we waiting for? Let's go!", Ryuji said as they started to spar again.

In the underground,

'It seems that Ryuji has not woken up from meditation.', Yoruichi noted, looking at Ryuji who was still sitting in the meditation pose.

"Yoruichi-san… I'll go ahead and take a bath.", Ichigo informed her.

"Yeah… I'll wait for Ryuji to wake up.", Yoruichi replied as she sat on a rock in front of Ryuji.

"Yes…", Ichigo replied and left for the bath.

'He must be fighting hard to become stronger… Although I can't see him battle, the blood flowing out of his mouth and sweat on his body indicates he is training non–stop.', Yoruichi noted as she observed the blood and wet condition of Ryuji's Shihakusho.

"….", Ryuji sat there with the same focus and confidence.

The one that Ichigo desperately wants to save.

'…Thank you.', Rukia thanked everyone, who wants and fights for her life, before closing her eyes and accepting death.

The Kikōō, a.k.a the released blazing phoenix of the Sokyoku, blazed towards her to execute her life. A tone of silence prevailed over the place after that happened. Rukia opened her eyes, to find herself still living and a geared-up Ichigo blocking the Sokyoku with Zangetsu on his back.

"I-Ichigo?!", Rukia asked in shock at Ichigo's presence.

"Hmm…", Ichigo looked at her with a smirk.

"You fool! Didn't I tell you? You can't defeat my Elder Brother! He'll kill you for sure. Go Home!", Rukia yelled at Ichigo, surprising him.

On the Ground,

"This is impossible! That Sokyoku release was equivalent to a million Zanpakuto. How can it be stopped by one? Just who is this Ryoka?", Soi Fon asked in shock.

"Nanao – chan… Is that Ryoka boy they were talking about?", Shunsui asked Nanao.

"Yes… His identities match with the reports.", Nano replied.

"The Ryoka saves the day, huh?", Shunsui said with a sigh.

On the air,

"… Woah.", Ichigo looked puzzled at Rukia before the Kikōō backed away, making Ichigo wobble a little.

"Backing away for a second strike, huh? Bring it on!", Ichigo noted before going towards the approaching Kikōō.

"Stop Ichigo!", Rukia yelled at Ichigo.

Suddenly, out of nowhere, the Kikōō was stopped by yet another one. Only this time, it was not blocked but rather slashed to the side by someone. All eyes that were present were focused on the one that made the phenomena happen. Wearing the coat that had the Shihoin crest and having the Sharingan dawned Zanpakuto, Ryuji stood before the Kikōō with a smirk on his face.

"Ryuji!", Ichigo and Rukia yelled in surprise at the same time.

"Hey… Seems I made you guys wait.", Ryuji noted while looking at the face of Ichigo and the others with a triumphant smirk.
