Kuri: Amigasa Village
Naruto just entered the ghost remains of the now-abandoned village. It had an air of mystery and a feeling from Orochimaru's hideouts that Naruto couldn't wonder why he was starting to miss. It seemed anything relating to his old world, the good and even the bad, was starting to make him miss his world.
Naruto stood in front of his old hut and formed a hand sign to activate the lab entrance. Suddenly, writing began to form and extend away from the base of the hut. Three lines are shot in separate directions before linking together to form a circle. A cold white light flashed within the sealing array before it revealed Naruto's laboratory.
The dirt next to the hut crumbled away and revealed below the dirt. Hurriedly descending the stairs, Naruto entered his secret laboratory.
Looking around the lab, Naruto noticed how messy it was. Research notes were scattered across the lab. A disorganized row of labelled vacuum containers containing genetic samples was taken directly from Orochimaru's lab. Orochimaru had no use for anything Naruto had taken out of labs unless the Snake Sannin returned from the dead.
Naruto looked at the vacuum containers that held genetic information that Orochimaru was interested in. First, there was a container labelled Jugo. Then, another was labelled Kimimaro. After that, there were others, but Naruto focused on the last and most important container, Senju Hashirama cells.
Naruto then focused on his main purpose. Project Gozu Tenno. A sealing jutsu was in its developmental phases when it was headed by one of Root's most brilliant researchers. By studying the cells of Senju Hashirama, the researcher theorized a Sealing Jutsu made of the First Hokage's cells. Grafting it on a compatible vessel would create a seal that's a gateway to another world. Unfortunately, the scroll that detailed the seal was incomplete. Still, under Naruto's diligence, the project was nearly completed after all this time.
Still, he was amazed by the man's research. The researcher was unaware of how close he came to replicating Otsutsuki Kaguya's techniques. The source of replication came from the Hashirama cell. Just like Naruto, Hashirama has Ashura's reincarnated chakra. They didn't have Ashura's soul, but a tiny amount of his chakra gave them unparalleled yang chakra within their bodies with strong bodies and a massive, powerful life force.
The Gozu Tenno was a step in the right direction to defeat Black Zetsu. It was nearing its completion with a mixture of Naruto and Hashirama cells. The combined research of Orochimaru and Root and the MAD notebook that detailed the lineage factor helped greatly with the experiment. The addition of Naruto's cells would strengthen Gozu Tenno's abilities.
After a quick check with the progress of the Gozu Tenno seal, a pleased Naruto thought, as he looked at the seal formula nearing completion, "It's 90% done… Now the only thing left is to find a compatible vessel for the Gozu Tenno. I modified the seal so it won't use negative emotions as nourishment but will only be able to detect it. But the seal would be sustained by the user chakra… What's the compatibility of the seal symbiosis rate?"
Take a quick look at the notes in the Gozu Tenno's scroll. Naruto's expression frowned as he calculated the seal symbiosis rate. If it went higher than it should, the seal would be destroyed and the creature within it. If it was lower than the seal, the creature would overtake the vessel's body. However, one number kept coming up that bothered Naruto.
"Okay so any number higher than 10 will destroy the seal, but below a 4 will consume the vessel body." Naruto analyzed before flipping through the notes, "What does the variable stand for again…. Age? Age!? Age!"
A disgusted feeling flooded Naruto as he realized the implications of what he had been working on for the past two years, "So compatibility for the vessel is best among children… DAMN IT!"
Naruto ran a hand through his hair as conflicting thoughts raced. "Only a child can handle the seal and besides that there is no one except me who can use chakra on this planet. And putting this thing on a child, I am not crossing that line," he muttered as he exited the lab in a bad mood.
Leaving the lab in a bad room, Naruto walked up the stairs, emerged, and turned around the entrance of the stairs. A hand sign later, the lab's hidden entrance closed as the sealed dirt was released and created a smooth mound of dirt above the entrance that hid all traces of abnormalities.
Immediately his ears catch the sounds of hurried footsteps, and from the bushes, a ninja bursts from the bushes. Sarutobi, a ninja who Naruto knew by sight, sounded surprised once he saw Naruto here.
"You are…" Sarutobi stammered as he tried to recall the name of the man, he saw around the new orian at the flower capital.
"I am Komurasiki's bodyguard, Narutomaki," Naruto answered warily as he stared at the masked shinobi.
"Yeah, you are the new orian's bodyguard," recalled Sarutobi with a nod before he shot a suspicious glare at Naruto, "What the hell are you doing in this empty village?!"
Naruto's actions answered his question. First, Naruto delivered a punch buried deep within Sarutobi's stomach, making the ninja gag out as the air was knocked out of his lungs. Sarutobi then lets out a grunt as Naruto grabs his white mane hair and begins dragging the ninja by the hair to the direction he had come from.
Putting his thoughts and facts together, Naruto noticed footprints that trailed back in the direction…
"The beach?" Naruto asked himself absentmindedly as he continued to drag his prisoner to the shore while staring at the destination behind the bamboo forest.
Sarutobi grabbed the closed fist around his hair and attempted to pry Naruto's hand off his white wild mane-like hair. But Naruto just increased his vicelike grip by pumping more chakra into his hand.
Naruto continued to walk in the direction of the beach, ignoring the struggling man he was dragging with ease.
Kuri: Beach
Ace observed Skull's fight with interest. The yellow ninja was nimble for his size and used tricks that gave him a temporary advantage. Still, Skull was no pushover during a fight and was one of the smartest in his crew, alongside Mihar and Deuce. His specialty in combat was using weapons and how to disarm his enemies.
Bare hands. Skull was currently doing, dodging and weaving through the sword slashes and occasionally smacking the blade to redirect its positions and swings.
Suddenly Skull lashed out at the ninja's forearm, hitting it thrice until the impact knocked the enemy sword out of its hands.
On the verge of delivering an incapacitating blow to the Ninja, Skull backed away with a flinch before he stared at the forest warily, which his crew picked on immediately.
All those who had Observation Haki in the crew sensed the guy who left was coming back with someone else.
"They had backup!" Ace thought before he felt one of them struggling, "No, this guy is not helping them..."
The newcomer felt extremely strong. The strength he sensed from the person would be around his level if he had to say, and those in the crew who wielded Observation Haki felt the man's displeased emotions.
"Back off, guys!" Ace growled as he warily stared in the person's direction about to reveal himself. Waiting for the reveal, Ace's fingers flared as sparks burst on his palm before flames coalesced around his right arm, and his fist turned into flames to warn the incoming stranger.
To his surprise, he felt an incoming projectile not aimed toward him or the crew but towards the panting ninja on the ground. A large blue blur collided directly with the yellow ninja.
Their own sniper man wearing a V-neck shirt with a dark jacket, dark shorts, and dark boots, reflexively grabbed his rifle.
"Mihar, don't be hasty!" Skull warned out.
Mihar freezes before nodding in understanding. Slowly their sniper whips out his rifle and aims in the direction of the trajectory projectile. Mihar is a tall man with thin limbs and slight shoulders, and his dark eyes were hidden behind his glasses and the shadow of the dark-colored silk hat. He had a tattoo on his left cheek and a thin nose above his mustache, and his trademark small smile was gone as he aimed at the incoming person.
"Hold your fire, Mihar." Ace orders as he waits in anticipation for the person to come out.
"I see it was just pirates…."
The voice echoed throughout the beachside before all the crew focused on the voices source.
The source came from a tall man standing atop the beach dunes. Blonde hair and striking blue eyes graced his features. Still, the most memorable trait was his face's three symmetrical whisker-like birthmarks. The man wore a black and orange kimono that fit him despite his height. But the man looked like he was being overworked as dark bags were under his eyes and an exhausted look was on his face.
"This is Kaido's territory," The blonde man called out as the spade pirate members blanched at the new information, "Most pirates don't set foot here due to occupying this country."
"WE ARE IN THE KING OF BEAST TERRITORY?! A YONKO" yelled most spade pirates in shock and horror.
Ace stood in stunned silence as his mind processed the blonde man's information he had just gotten. "A Yonko and its Kaido… Not the first one I wanted to meet. I need to thank Red Hair Shanks first for saving Luffy!"
"If you are talking about Kaido, yes. Northeast of here is Onigashima," said the blonde as he pointed towards the sea, "That's where Kaido's base of operation is and his home. You are currently in the isolated Land of Wano."
A groan came from one of the ninjas on the ground. Both stared at the blonde man with a betrayed expression full of hate.
"Narutomaki, you traitor, we will never forget this…. Wait until Kyoshiro or Orochi hears about this."
"Sorry to disappoint you, Hanzo." Narutomaki drawled as he walked down the beach and over to them and crouched down at their bodies, "You and Sarutobi won't be telling anyone what happened here."
"If you try to silence us by killing me and Sarutobi, they will know something is wrong." Hanzo growled out.
"Good point," Narutomaki said sarcastically with a mocking nod, "Which is why I won't be killing you."
A confused look crossed across the face of Hanzo before it turned into horror as he saw Narutomaki forming signs with his hands in a flurry motion, forcing Sarutobi to start sputtering in shocked protest, "When did you learn Ninjutsu?"
"Ninja Art: Broken Recollection," Narutomaki muttered softly as he tapped a finger on the ninja's forehead. The reaction was immediate. Sarutobi's head slumped as he became unconscious.
"What the hell did you do to him?" Hanzo yelled as he struggled to move with all his might, but he was pinned down by his adversary's foot.
"It's better for everyone if it's this way," Narutomaki replies coldly, "If there is any conscience, you won't remember any of this, so you won't care."
A simple tap was enough to do the job, and the ninja joined his comrade.
Narutomaki looked at them, contemplating, and just a tired look. The tired look turned into a wince as a small dribble of blood came out of the man's nostrils. Narutomaki just wiped the blood with his hand and muttered, "Sometimes I wish I was born as an Uchiha when I use this jutsu. Their eye would have made it much easier to erase people's memories with this collaboration jutsu they made with the Yamanaka Clan."
"Are you okay?" Skull said while he dusted off his hand.
"I'm fine, no need to worry about me." The blonde man tells them before stifling a yawn.
"They won't remember meeting you guys or what happened here today," Naruto looks at the two knocked-out shinobi from Orochi Oniwabanshu, "You are really lucky that Sarutobi ran into me before he reached the capital. It saved us a lot of trouble for both of us."
"What kind of trouble?" Deuce asked in a wary tone.
The blonde man warily looked at them with blue eyes, "This country has already suffered too much." Narutomaki told them, "Please don't create any more problems that will drag the civilians into it." The man blues flash warningly as he advises the spade pirates, "I am telling you this with all involved parties' best interests at heart. Leave as soon as possible before Kaido catches wind of this."
"But we can't!" Mihar told him while wringing his hand before indicating the damage on the Piece of Spadille, "The ship is unfit to sail any sea due to the state it is in right now,"
Narutomaki just sighed before asking, "Okay, so who is the captain of this pirate crew?"
Ace tipped his hat and bowed respectfully towards Narutomaki, "That will be me, the name is Portgas D. Ace, and I am the captain of the spade pirates."
Narutomaki's eyebrows shot up, and Ace saw a myriad of emotions flash on the blonde man's face before forming a look of interest.
"Well, I never thought I would meet a pirate with good manners," Narutomaki chuckled with a shake of his head. "My name is Uzumaki Naruto, but please call me by my Wano name Narutomaki."
Suddenly numerous growls echoed throughout the beach. All the Spade Pirates blushed as they felt their stomachs howl for morsels of food. They were reminded of the one weakness they had. They were a pirate crew without a cook on board, and none of them could cook with these spoilt ingredients.
Narutomaki scratched his chin with a chuckle, "Hungry, are we?"
Ace nods sheepishly and grins before accepting the offer, "Well I am hungry, and I have responsibility for my crew so point me towards the food."
Immediately Ace ducks Deuce's thrown book and ignores Deuce's rant, "That's not how you ask for favors… Ace, how can you be so polite in one moment but so crass!?"
"You guys are funny," Narutomaki chuckled before he explained, "There aren't this many lively people in Wano. All we have here is just politeness and manners. This is a feeling I missed…."
Suddenly an infectious smile bursts out from the blonde man as he raises his arms and whoops before asking them, "How about some ramen?"
Taken back by the sudden outburst, the spade pirates stared at Narutomaki with sweat drops,
Mistaking their objection, Narutomaki mumbles out, "If you don't want ramen, we can have my second favorite food, red bean soup. My treat, of course…."
Ace's mind flashed back to the happiest days of his childhood. Sabo's favorite food was ramen. He, Sabo, and Luffy bankrupted an expensive restaurant that serves ramen to nobles and rich merchant families by disguising themselves as one tall man and making a dine and dash.
Remembering these memories filled Ace with nostalgia that made him want to eat ramen again. He then asks his crew, "What do you say, guys? Looks like I am eating ramen tonight!"
The Spade Pirates raised their voice in agreement, which made their captain nod, before facing their benefactor, who had a grin.
Deuce then slings an arm around his captain's shoulder and tells the rest of the crew, "Looks like we won't have to worry about our captain dining and dashing before he pays like usual."
The Spade Pirates burst into laughter, much to the chagrin of Ace, who flushed red from embarrassment.
Ace stared at Narutomaki, who led them to a cliffside, and thought, "I miss Sabo… and the crybaby Luffy."
"Now listen, please keep this a secret…." Narutomaki pressed a boulder that rolled away to reveal a tunnel descending below the ground.
Ace's last thoughts before entering the tunnel are, "Wow, it's dark here." Suddenly Ace's index finger burst into flame, revealing a large network of tunnels that looked like they had been carved or drilled by something huge.
"Secret tunnels for the first time in the grand line, for us." Deuce whispered in excitement as he held out a pen and his journal in his hands and began to write in the light of ace flames.
ONIGASHIMA
Ulti was starting to get bored being stuck on this island. Nothing happens when there are no officers or All-Star or Kaido. All there was just training with the morning star she knew how to use. She was now reading a cookbook Page One gave her for her last birthday.
"Hey Ulti, can you make lunch for us?" Page One asked as he barged his hean into the doorway of her room.
Ulti frowned at her brother's request, "Why can't you just eat in the banquet hall?"
"They barred us and Yamato from entering," Page One said in an exasperated voice, "It seems they are having a secret meeting."
"Without any officers?" Ulti asked with a raised eyebrow before dropping her cookbook and focusing on her brother, "All of them left the island for the expedition with Kaido-sama."
"I know and Yamato is currently arguing with them over why they are barring us?"
A resounding crash echoed through the mansion, followed by enraged yells.
This was followed by a blast of Conqueror Haki that knocked out half of the residents on the existing floor from what Ulti could sense from her observation haki told her.
"Yamato is doing it again..." groaned Page One.
"They are going to complain to the officers," Ulti said as she pinched the bridge of her nose, "Whatever trouble Yamato causes, we get flak for it unless we have an excuse."
"I know… Let's start thinking of an excuse for the officers?" Page One said with a thoughtful look.
"Good idea but will be doing that later," Ulti commented before saying with a hidden smirk, "Yamato is becoming more of a loose cannon without Kaido-sama around."
"But you like it?" asked Page One with a raised eyebrow.
Ulti gave him a giggle, "Just tell her to come and eat. I decided to have Onigiri Salmon."
"Oh, that will definitely calm her down!" Page One muttered before he hurried to the exploding arguments yelling, "HEY YAMATO!"
"Now where are we?" Ulti thought with a smile as she picked up her cookbook and continued to read.
Kuri: Okagakure
Surprised mutters filled the village's streets as people warily stared at the group that trailed behind Naruto with shocked expressions. The Spade Pirates raised their eyebrows as they saw animated puppets moving around with scrolls and messages between their mouths and extra limbs. Some had blades protruding out of their mechanical arms.
Naruto looked back and stared at the pirates he had brought into his village. The member of the Spade Pirates that stood out the most was Kotatsu, a lynx in the dark pants and belt serving as the crew pet. Followed by the four bizarre-looking pirates that seemingly stood up at the crew hierarchy.
Skull is a man with an average build, a hairy chest, and long dark blue hair. He has an angular chin and a tattoo on his right arm, and he stood and walked with a slight slouch. His clothing motif was skulls, just like his name. His face was hidden by a cracked skull mask. He also wears a red-colored shirt with a skull pattern, bracelets on his wrists and left forearm, a sash with a skull on it, light-colored pants with a dark skull on the left leg, skull-shaped necklaces, and black-colored boots. Skull sports a sword with a striped hilt and a dark blue sheath on his right hip. Skull seemingly took the village scenery with deep interest as he looked at the building's architecture and the rows of stashed weapon crates full of spears and katanas.
Mihar is a tall man with thin limbs and slight shoulders. He has a thin nose, a small smile, a mustache, and a tattoo on his left cheek. He wears a dark-colored silk hat, glasses, dark shorts, and dark boots. He also wears a V-neck shirt with a dark jacket over it.
Deuce's defining feature is the mask he wears over his eyes to hide his identity. He is a muscular man with spiky long light blue hair and wears a very long open coat that stretches down to his knees and leaves his chest exposed. He also wears a belt diagonally across his chest, trousers with a rose design on the bottom left held up by a belt, and a pair of dark boots that go up to his knees.
Deuce was writing feverishly in his book of what he saw, detailing the description of the village, and kept asking Naruto questions about the Land of Wano.
All the crew members seemingly had their interesting tales, but their captain was another story.
"The name D and the Will of D… I never thought I would be meeting one of them so soon…." The only thing he could decipher from the blue stele stone with the brute-forcing the text through different methods of deciphering, he only extracted one letter from the text D.
He did not know anything about the letter D. He thought for a while alone. Was it a weapon he could use against Kaido? A secret password to ancient secrets? All of it was cleared when he pulled someone during the second time he visited Onigashima in the yearly Golden Festival.
His second time there was interesting. Naruto then remembered the highlight of the golden festival. His break on the job there lead him to learn more about the stones called Poneglyphs from the only ally he had on that island.
-TWO YEARS AGO: ONIGASHIMA-
Naruto took a break from guarding Komurasiki and sent death glares toward those attempting to approach Komurasaki. Queen's musical talents were seemingly growing on him as he was swayed by the crowd of celebrations and the tune. Before looking for his target.
Once, he found Yamato sitting next to her father, looking bored with her drink and talking with Kaido, who was just listening to her. This time the kimono she wore was different. It had teal-colored silk with cherry blossom trees silk-screened on it.
He grabbed Yamato's attention by reflecting one of the laser lights from Queen's show into Yamato's face with the silverware he found lying around. Blinking the lights out of her eyes, Yamato locked eyes with him, and her expression turned one of shock, then glee and happiness. Then, before excusing herself from her father's presence, she disappeared into the celebrating pirates and Wano officials before reappearing.
"You have a secret place to talk," Naruto asked her in a whisper.
Yamato nodded and indicated for him to follow her and took him to an empty room filled with bonsai trees and lanterns.
Before asking her anything, Yamato held out her explosive shackles and asked, full of hope and excitement, "Can you undo these?"
Naruto was taken back by the literal hope in Yamato's eyes.
"Yeah I can…" Naruto lied as he stared at Yamato's excited face before reaching for his Nidai Kitseu and Uzu Uchiwa and unsheathed them and saying, "Extend your arms out…I will try to make the cut as clean as possible before sewing and reattaching it with surgery with no anesthesia."
Yamato look of excitement turned into deep horror as she took in his words and held her hands close to her body as she gave him a terrified look.
"Are you crazy?" she whispered in a whimpering tone.
"I was joking!" Naruto tells her with a smirk before he deadpans at Yamato's shocked face, "Seriously Yamato you nearly tried every nonlethal method you had access to on this island. I didn't, so don't get too excited-"
Naruto then dodged an incoming fist from Yamato and blocked the other swing before letting out a wince. "She is strong! "
"That was not funny," Yamato growled out before stifle her sniffles
"Sorry, I couldn't resist," Naruto said in apology before asking her, "So all is forgiven?"
Tapping her chin impatiently with her fingertips, "Let's see…." Yamato asked herself before whispering to Naruto, "No! Not yet!"
She then rushed towards and tackled him to the floor before reacting. The child of Kaido then stood up and smirked before giving him an even smirk at his dazed expression.
"Ugh," Naruto groaned as he clutched his stomach and gasped for air on the floor before wheezing, "I deserved that."
"Yeah, you did and I will forgive you when I make you feel as much pain," Yamato said in a threatening tone despite wearing a smile on her face, as she hoisted Naruto to his feet, "Anyway if you did not meet me to undo my cuffs, why did you want to talk?"
"I have a question?" Naruto said while rubbing the sore part of his stomach.
"Okay," Yamato said with a nod
"What is D." Naruto asked her as he referred to the only scrap of text he could translate out of the blue steles he found last time in Onigasima at the second basement .
Yamato's eyes widened in surprise at the question before answering it with a serious expression, "It's an initial in people's names."
"Is that it?" Naruto asked in surprise as he looked at the one who answered, "The D. is just a name?!"
"Yeah, it's an initial in people's last name that is passed down through their family." Yamato explained before offering an example, "Like Gol D. Roger. The Pirate King."
"Come Again?! Who!?" Naruto asked her with a deadpan look as his confusion was tripled by this extra information.
"You never heard of the one who conquered the Grand Line?" Yamato asked as she gave him an incredulous look, "The one who created and started this era, the greatest era of piracy. The Golden Age of Pirates."
"Yamato, I am inside a closed country that barely has any outside news from the world." Naruto said in an annoyed tone.
"Even in the land of fire, you never heard of him… How? He was the most famous person in the world after what he accomplished."
"Because the land of fire is in another dimension," Naruto thought as he mentally banged his head and struggled to not tell Yamato that he was a dimensional alien in this world, "Also, pirates over there never become well known due to them being easily overwhelmed by shinobi. Only one group, the Funato clan, stood on top of the pinnacle in piracy, and they only operated in the seas around the Land of Water which Kurikagure repelled."
"I was an idiot who did not care about anything but the things that happened in my country! " Naruto lied before asking her with a pointed look, "Anyway, where did you learn this? You were trapped on this island nearly your entire life, so how on earth do you possess such information?"
"I learned it from Oden's Journal," Yamato said as she held out the orange logbook before explaining, "Oden travelled with Whitebeard for four years before he said he was headhunted by Roger for his final journey. Some pages are torn out, but the people with D. in their name are important."
"I see," Naruto said with a nod before an eager look came. "Can I-"
Yamato smiles before shutting down his obvious request by asking him, "How do you find out about this topic."
"Hey-" Naruto growls before seeing how Yamato was protective of Oden's logbook and then sighed before answering her question, "I read the language on the blue stone below."
Yamato's mouth gaped open as she began to stutter, "You can read the poneglyphs? Just like Oden?"
"That Blue Stone is called a poneglyph?" Naruto asked with a mystified look.
"Yes," Yamato said before she looked around to avoid any potential listeners, "So can you read the language on it?"
"Not exactly." Naruto informs her with an exhausted tone as he remembers the time spent decoding the script, "I only managed to decipher a tiny bit only the letter D. The language- "
"Anyway, it's so good to see you again, Naruto."
"Likewise, Yamato." Naruto agrees before referring to her father, "How is he treating you?"
"Much better than ever," Yamato said with a happy and nervous smile at the same time, "I even have people I trust on this island right now."
"That's good," Naruto tells her with a satisfied smile, "I am happy for you. Really, I am."
"Come on, I want you to meet them…." Yamato suddenly grabs his arm and pulls him unnoticed through the excited group of pirates and Wano officials.
Suddenly Yamato stops, and Naruto sees the two siblings he saved last year. The masked siblings who he struggled to recall their names.
"Meet my cute little juniors," Yamato says before pointing at the girl and saying, "That's Ulti, and next to her is her younger brother, Page One."
"Hey, Yamato, I am not your junior!" Ulti snapped brutishly as she slammed her hands down on the table in an enraged and fazed voice before her words started to slur, "Oni Princess, your father … Kaido-sama just asked you to assist us during training, so don't start calling us juniors…."
Ulti words trial before her head, nodding off as she mutters, "Even though I like it."
"The girl is tipsy, no she is wasted …. Is this her first-time drinking." Naruto thought with a pity
"Oh, come on I was impressing my friend here!" Yamato groaned as she palmed her face, "Why did you get drunk, Ulti?"
"Because I wanted to try Sake… I am nearly turning 18." Ulti muttered sleepily before vomiting all over Yamato's clothes and passing out.
Page One just stares at Naruto apologetically as he ignores Yamato's shocked face and tells Naruto, "Sorry about my sister…"
Suddenly Black Maria strode over and took one look at Yamato and Ulti and frowned before asking Page One and Yamato, "Page One go take your sister and Yamato you are excused. Don't worry, I will inform your father so you won't get in trouble."
Page One then picks up his sister, hoists her sleeping body on a piggyback, and walks up to the nearest stair, muttering deeply annoyed.
Black Maria then turns towards him and recognizes him.
"Hey, there, handsome." Black Maria winks and blows a kiss toward Naruto in a flirtatious manner.
Naruto coughs into his fist and hides his blush, "Man, that woman…."
"How are you doing, Black Maria?" Naruto asks her with an eye smile, "Do you like your new position as a Tobiroppo?"
"Yes, very much, it gave me so many boys to toy with," Black Maria said as sultry, "Why don't you come to my new brothel? I want to try it with a man."
Naruto just declines her offer with a wistful look, "Sorry, but I am still a bit inexperienced in terms of love and relationships. If I ever fall in love with someone which I can't see happening… I want to love them for who they are even if I expect nothing from them."
"Oh, that's so naively cute. I wish I had someone like him." Black Maria wished before giving him a confused, sad smile, "Did I just get rejected-"
Naruto interrupts her with a dazzling smile, "Who knows the person they will fall in love with? Love is a mysterious force Black Maria-chan."
"Hey Narutomaki!" Black Maria blushed as she whispered to him in a hushed tone with a hand over her heart, "Stop it, you are making my heart throb. You are too cute and kind of cool with that view of love."
Naruto then chuckles and leaves a speechless Black Maria as he returns to the job post. He guarded Komurasiki occasionally, seeing Black Maria pondering over his words while drinking.
For the rest of the golden Kagura festival, Komurasiki kept giving him strange looks as she poured drinks for the guests in the VIP room.
He then drinks with Sasaki and Kyoshiro until the banquet and festival.
Looking at Onigashima from the shores of Habu port, Naruto thought, "Sorry Yamato, I won't be able to come next year or the year after. I am going to be busy."
"Narutomaki-sama!"
Naruto was snapped out of his memories once he heard his name being called out in greeting in the streets of Okagakure.
Naruto just smiled and greeted the residents, who all bowed and greeted him respectfully before continuing their day. Already the spade pirates were shooting glances at the signs of overwhelming respect he was getting from the village's citizens.
"Are you a prince or something?" Skull muttered as he saw the people give Naruto grateful smiles and bowing their heads in respect.
"What makes you say that?" Naruto says as he looks at Skull with a confused look, "I don't look like royalty, do I?"
"Because citizens never bow to pirates, especially not us," Deuce answered with a raised eyebrow. "Especially during the golden age of piracy."
"The Land of Wano isn't ruled by monarchy," Naruto informed them as they continued to walk towards their destination, "It's ruled by a Shogunate that is supported by the daimyo but that now a thing of the past."
"A thing of the past?" Mihar asked with a concerned face.
"The current Shogun stole the shogunate from its rightful heir and doesn't have any interest in ruling this country," Naruto says with a tone full of anger, "All he just wants to destroy it and make it people suffer."
Naruto then turned with a forlorn expression, "It's the main reason I swore you guys into secrecy about the tunnels and this place. This village is basically the life blood of prosperity slowly being restored to the land by spreading out food and supplies in poor areas."
"So, is this hidden from this asshole?" Ace asked with a growl.
"Yeah, it's well hidden. But if that bastard finds this place?" Naruto answered before sighing, "I don't even want to know what he will do."
"Is that a school?" Mihar asked in surprise as he pointed toward a large building with students carrying books and scrolls of parchment.
"Yeah." Naruto answered with a smile, "It's funded by the budget that I commissioned, there are three others in the other villages, but this is the best one in Wano, even better than the propaganda filled one in the capital."
"I see…. I missed this sight, the children were excited to learn something." Mihar whispered in a voice full of nostalgia.
Looking at the confused look on Naruto's face, Mihar cleared his throat before explaining, "Oh, I used to be a teacher before I became a pirate."
"Really!?" Naruto exclaimed with a surprised grin.
"Yeah, I used to teach children who couldn't get an education on the island I came from," Mihar replied.
"Good, you should check the cubiculum here while you are here." Then, Naruto asked Mihar with nod , "You can see what we can improve, and tell us about it."
"It will be my pleasure to do that," Mihar told Naruto with a nod.
"So, it took you how many years to build this?" Skull asked as he noticed many of the buildings looked brand new.
"This village isn't alone," Naruto said, "There are four other regions that have a place like this hidden from the beast pirates and the ruling government."
"Just answer the question."
"It took three years to reach this far," Naruto told him as he felt like he wanted to begin complaining as he felt his stiff neck, "I'm still tired? That's weird?"
Suddenly Ace stumbled as he nearly tripped over something that brushed his leg before he regained his balance. "What the…" Ace muttered.
Naruto looked down to see Tama pulling on his arm, questioning him, "Big Brother Naruto, who are they?"
Naruto crouched to meet her height level and ruffled her hair, "They are my guests," he told her softly with a soft smile, "Go home and ask Shinobu or Ashura to prepare for them rooms in the headquarters for them to sleep in. They will be staying in this village for a while."
"But that means you will be busier than before!" Tama pouted with disapproval before saying, "Which means you won't be spending so much time playing ninja with me."
Naruto sighed as he forgot who attentive children are, sometimes even selfish for their own good. "Tama, I can always spare a clone to attend to my duties…."
"No, I don't want that! It will just mean more work for you," Tama complained in an outburst that grabbed the entire street's attention, "You are already sleeping only three times a week. Master-sama says you are being overworked for the Sake of everyone's in Wano."
The gesture of Tama's innocence and selflessness made Naruto's heart squeeze. "This child is too cute but naive."
"I have a choice to do this, O-Tama. But, unfortunately, some people aren't so lucky." Naruto tells her, his voice catching the attention of all on the street, "Can you say the same for those who work in the factories? They are worked to the brink of death in exchange for scraps of food, and if they refuse, they die on the spot. I work so there can be less suffering for them. I endure so I can see these people be happy."
"Narutomaki-sama! You are too honorable and kind for us…." gratefully thought the entire citizens of Okagakure on the street.
"Do you understand, O-Tama, your big brother is working hard for everyone." Naruto tells her softly with a poke on her nose, "If you want to help me tell Shinobu to prepare rooms for our guests and clear my schedule for the weekend."
Tama nods before she scurries to the headquarters to talk with shinobu.
"Aren't you too old to be her brother?" a voice asked from one of the crew members.
Naruto twitched in annoyance before he kept a straight face as he looked at the person who said it.
"We are not related by blood; her guardian is basically the man who kept an eye on me so I won't cause any trouble." Naruto explained, "So basically, I see her as my sister I helped raise since she was born."
"I see…" Ace said with a grin, "I have brothers like that too, none of us are related by blood. I met one of them when I was 10 and the after gramps introduced me to each the other."
"Well that's nice…" Naruto said with a smile before stopping at the corner of a street and saying, "We are here."
Naruto then enters the most popular restaurant in the village. The owner, who is always ecstatic to see him burst into a smile and bowed as he welcomed Naruto.
"Welcome, Narutomaki-sama!" the owner said as he bowed deeply towards Naruto before a surprised look flashed across his face. He saw the group of pirates trailing behind Naruto entering his restaurant, sniffing the tasty, pleasant aroma of food from the kitchen restaurant with hungry looks.
"Narutomaki-sama?" The owner muttered in a stricken voice, "Who are they?"
"They are my valued guests," Naruto tells him with an eye smile.
"Well, the tables are enough for them," the owner said with a bow, "Serve each one of them a bowl of ramen and what ingredients do they want in it. I will be paying of course."
"Man, I am full…." Mihar said in a pleasing voice as he finished slurping the last remaining noodle in his bowl before drinking the ramen broth, "That tasted good."
"Nrf…. ahhh... tasty …. that's enough, I don't want to get fat," Narutomaki said as he stacked another bowl on the rows of bowel towers next to him.
"Another one!" a yell came from beside Naruto.
"Yes, sir!" the waitress served another bowl to Ace with a hurried look.
"Eh you are not catching up on my watch, Ace!" Naruto yelled in anger, "There can only be one Ramen Lord! I want another please!"
"Of course!" the waitress said with a smile.
"How much do they think they have eaten?" Mihar asked the person who sat beside him.
"The captain just finished his 33rd bowl," said Deuce with anticipation, "While Narutomaki just finished eating his 36th bowl before starting again,"
"What's Skull doing?" Mihar asked as he saw the slumped body of Skull frothing on the table with a smaller tower of bowels.
"He passed out before they made it into double digits." Deuce said with a chuckle, "They are impressive to eat his much ramen."
Both members of the spade pirates watched the ramen eating contest between their captain and host, wondering who would win the contest.
Suddenly Ace dropped his chopsticks and slumped face-first into his bowl of ramen.
"Not again," groaned Deuce as he saw Ace practically collapse into his food again.
Narutomaki just stared at Ace with a worried look before relief as he understood what happened and continued eating.
"Is he dead?" A waiter asked with a stupefied face before rounding up to the nearest waitress, "Come on check on him! See if he needs any medical attention!?"
The waitress hurried over to Ace and made a move to check his pulse, but much to the surprise of the restaurant staff and the grin on Narutomaki's face, Ace suddenly jolted back awake with a gasp and blinked as he looked around with a confused look.
"HE CAME BACK TO LIFE!" The staff bellow echoed throughout the restaurant.
"Are you okay?" the waitress asked with a concerned face.
Suddenly Ace grabbed the sleeve of the woman's kimono and used it to wipe his wet and dirty face, much to the waitress's chagrin and embarrassment.
"Ah…. Damn it…. I fell asleep." Ace muttered before picking up his chopsticks and scarfing down his ramen like nothing happened.
"YOU FELL ASLEEP!" screeched the workers in shock.
"For the trouble, my guests caused you today," Narutomaki told with a nod before throwing 30 gold on the table, much to the surprised look of the thunderstruck workers. "Here, you earned it."
"But only 2 gold is enough..." questioned one of the waiters.
"I said you earned it," Narutomaki affirms as he tells the workers, "Split it between yourselves…. Buy something nice for you and your family."
Narutomaki then performed one hand sign before a puff, and another Narutomaki that looked identical to him stood next to the first like an identical
"A devil fruit user!" came a cry from one of the crew members, which Narutomaki ignored.
"I think that's a twin." Deuce told the guy with a raised eyebrow.
"No, it's a ninjutsu that allows me to create copies of myself." Narutomaki explained with a roll of his eyes .
"So, what are the orders, boss?" the clone asked with the unmistakable voice of Narutomaki.
"I agreed to meet Hitetsu-san by the forges by the evening." Narutomaki informs the clone with an air of superiority, "But I still have other things to do until then, take them to the mansion to settle in and explain them the rules must follow."
The original Narutomaki then headed to the street, and with a puff of smoke and leaves, disappearing from their sight.
"Boss did not have to use the body flicker jutsu to show off," the clone whispered as he shook his head in amusement.
"Hey, Narutomaki!" Ace said with a grin as he walked up towards the clone and placed his orange hat on himself, "If you are-"
Suddenly Deuce covered his hand over Ace's mouth and hissed, "You were just about to ask him if he could join the crew?!"
"Yeah," Ace recoiled away with a frown before growling at Deuce, "What if I was?"
"Sometimes you can be a real selfish imbecile, do you know that Ace?" Deuce asked with narrowed eyes, "As far as I can tell all of these people need him here."
"Oh, that's right." Ace muttered as his shoulders slumped, "Well this sucks … if he was good enough, I would have demoted you to third in command and have him be the vice-captain."
Deuce's eyes widen in surprise before he chuckles, "I don't care about that! You and me we founded the crew together and all I just want to do is write our journey and adventure."
"So, I can recruit him!?" Ace asked with a large grin before it was shut down by the expression on Deuce's face.
Flower Capital
"Are you sure there isn't something more?" Fukurokuju asked.
We can't remember…. I think there is something, but I can't remember." Hanzo muttered as he scratched his head in confusion
It's the same for me!" Sarutobi said in frustration.
Fukurokuju stared at the confused expressions of his subordinates, who were seemingly racking up their mind as hard as they struggling to remember something they deemed important.
"Why does something not feel right?" as he assessed the situation at hand before facing his two subordinates.
"You said empty village was found?" Fukurokuju muttered with a deep breathe "So the rumors were true…"
"What do we do?" asked Hanzo.
"Spread the order throughout the ranks to keep an eye on every village," Fukurokuju said with furrowed eyes, "Capture and interrogate all who come to those abandoned villages durning on our watch."
"What will you do, Fukurokuju-sama?" asked Hanzo.
"I will keep this to myself until it's appropriate to tell Orochi-sama."
Naruto felt the blast of heat from the forge and found Hitetsu working. The old swordsmith showed the muscle he acquired after a lifetime of crafting blades, just like the man swung down as he repeatedly hammered a slab of iron and folded it to remove the impurities within the iron.
Once Hitetsu sees him, he smiles and grunts, "There you are. I was wondering when you will come."
"I heard you want to meet me?" Naruto asked Hitetsu with a mystified look, "What for?"
"Narutomaki, do you know what my dream is right now?"
Taken back by the question, Naruto thought for a while before answering, "Freeing Wano from Orochi?"
"No that everyone's dream," Hitetsu said as he shook his head, "Before everything went wrong with this country, I had another dream of finding a successor to teach him the way of the Kitetsu school and my ways of forging and crafting a sword."
"So where do I come in all of this?" Naruto asked stupidly.
Hitetsu whirled at Naruto with an exasperated look "Narutomaki, can you be anymore denser… I want you to be my successor!"
"Excuse me!?" Naruto muttered in a thunderstruck voice as he was completely derailed by this piece of information. "Hang on, this-"
"Narutomaki! I don't want to hear any excuses!" exclaimed Hitetsu with deep passionate fire within his eyes and deep pride hidden behind the red tengu mask, "I choose you! No, I chose you the moment you wielded the Nidai Kitetsu, which my ancestor Kotetsu made. Your handling of the Nidai Kitetsu for the past three years without dying to the curse is impressive. Kid, I made up my mind for you to become my successor."
"Hey, who are you calling a kid?" Naruto snapped in irritation, "I am-"
"This attitude is why I still call you a kid," Hitetsu snapped back, shutting Naruto up.
"But I never touched a forge the entirety of my life," Naruto said as he muttered excuses, "All I know is how to sharpen and take care of my weapons."
"That is more experience than some wish they had," Hitetsu said as he pointed at Naruto, his eyes full of pride, "Most of all Narutomaki… you managed to start bringing hope and happiness to the people of Wano. You spread the food and money of your villages across all regions to help families feed themselves with an unbreakable resolve. That what is most important about forging sword, resolve."
Naruto then cleared his throat, "I am too busy for this, leading the village and paperwork is my priority."
"The Clone Jutsu," Hitetsu pointed out.
"They are not corporal," Naruto muttered with a smirk.
"I meant the Shadow Clone Jutsu," Hitetsu snarled.
"Okay fine…" Naruto said as he gave in to the demands of the old swordsmith.
Narutomaki could be a place for you to let out steam, and it will help you mentally relax.
"First, listen a history lesson, have you heard of Meito Swords?"
"I heard you mention that term, I think?" Naruto said with a confused face.
"Look like we have a lot to cover," Hitetsu said.
-A couple of weeks later.-
Ace sat down next to Tama as she taught him how to create conical straw hats out of dried straws of grass or barley.
He was struggling not to light the hats with
"Hey, O-Tama your brother seems very busy," "He has a job in the capital and sorts out any trouble in this village here. Why does he go there and not just stay in here and rest?"
"I heard he is a spy under one the shogun closest ally," Tama said, "Being there he understands what the bad people do."
"Man, would it be cool if I asked your brother to join my crew," Ace grumbled to himself, "Problem is too many people rely on him here… A person like him should go and head to the seas."
"Speaking of your crew, where are they ?" Tama asked as she looked around for signs of the
"They are fixing the ship on my orders," Ace answered before he shook a satchel full of silver, "Why don't we take a break and eat something sweet?"
"Where did you get that money?" Tama asked with a narrowed eye, "You don't have a job in the village,"
"Your brother gave it me!" Ace said with a chuckle before peering at her and frowning, "You thought I stole it."
"Nuh uh," Tama denied with a straight poker face she learned from her brother to get out of trouble with the old swordsmith.
Thankfully Ace seemed to buy it and sighed, "Well at least you don't hate me…"
"Okay, I want Anko Dango!" Tama said with starry eyes while nodding excitedly.
"Okay where do you get that?" Ace asked in confusion as he placed on his orange hat.
"Over there at that shop." Tama said as she pointed it out.
-Flower Capital: Kyoshiro's mansion –
Naruto hissed as Komurasiki grabbed his burnt palm after seeing his bandaged fingers.
"That looks like it hurts," Komurasiki said as she gently pressed a wet cloth to sooth the burnt palm, "How did you get it?"
"I was sharpening my sword in the forge, and I accidently burnt myself," Naruto told her as he winced at the pain.
"You need to be more careful." Komurasiki said in a worried voice.
"There is no need to worry about me I heal quicker than others." Naruto told her with an eye smile.
Naruto then looked over to the balcony and saw the busy streets full of vendors and fresh goods being carried around. Suddenly Naruto's eyes narrowed as he saw someone not supposed to be walking around.
"Hey Kyoshiro-oyabun," Naruto stated with clenched hands, "I remember turning in this bastard to the authorities after he tried to burn down a family home at night."
"The case was thrown out last hour," Kyoshiro said with a displeased look, "It's seeming the arsonist bribed the magistrate."
"That's Bungo, he is an arsonist that was tried for murder couple of times before the charges were dropped," said Komurasiki, her eyes narrowing in disgust and hate.
Naruto was tempted to chop the guy's head off right where he stood before an idea struck him. Money and Komurasiki…. And that guy.
Naruto whirled around and clasped Komurasiki's hands and held them delicately. The blue-haired woman let out a squeal as Naruto came too close to her to see his blue eyes had deep excitement as Naruto asked her eagerly, "Can you do me a favor, Komurasiki?".
"If you are asking for me to sleep with you?" A very red Komurasiki muttered before jokingly saying, "That will cost you an entire year's pay,"
"Cut it out with that joke!" Naruto snarls with a forced smile, "I know you never slept with any of your clients… You never sold your body to anybody despite being the jewel of the redlight district."
"I know," She chuckled before her blushing expression turned serious, "What is it?"
"Can you act like you fell in love with someone?"
Naruto slowly explains his plan, making Kyoshiro raise an eyebrow and Komurasiki stutter out, "But what if he sells his family in-"
"They won't be worth much due to them not working in the factories…." Naruto told her dismissively, "If it comes to this, we will buy them with the bastard's own money at a low price and employ them in this household, and we will treat the family well."
"Do I have permission to do this?" Komurasiki asked Kyoshiro with an unsure look on her face.
"I am sure we could use more money," Kyoshiro told her with a shrug, "But as the new Orian you need to focus on becoming a tayu rank in the orian hierarchy. Just try not bringing too much attention on yourself when you do it."
Suddenly, Orochi Oniwabanshu appeared in the room and handed a parchment to Kyoshiro, who read it openly before sighing.
"Well, it seems Orochi is in a bad mood today," grumbled Kyoshiro with an annoyed look, "Last night was the final straw… He is literally begging-"
"What happened?" Naruto asked, feigning concern for the shogun.
"The shogun had claimed he had been seeing ghosts for the past 2 weeks," Kyoshiro said, "The ghost enters Orochi's chambers at night and torments him to no avail."
"A ghost?!" Komurasiki asked with great surprise, "Who was the ghost?"
"Orochi claims the ghost took on a form of…." Kyoshiro said before struggling to say the next words to Komurasiki, "He said it was Kozuki Oden's anger!"
Komurasiki froze on the spot as her face paled and then stood up and bowed to Narutomaki and Kyoshiro, "Please excuse me."
Naruto could have sworn that when Komurasiki had left, there were tears in her eyes.
-Flower Capital: Orochi Castle-
Orochi castle was under lockdown as Orochi sat shivering in a boiling bath with snot and tears flowing down his face as his teeth chattered in fear as he bit his nails. It was now dark night with a half-moon on the starry skies of Wano's capital.
Orochi eye's snapped open as he woke up from the eerily feeling flooding his veins and throughout his body.
Orochi was scared to see him come again. To come out of his grave as a spirit, He could still hear his voice echoing throughout his mind and chambers after the scare he gave him last week and the week before.
His only living clan member Kurozumi Semimaru followed him everywhere due to the man's ability to use the barrier- barrier fruit he had eaten to block attacks from Oden and even Kaido from nearly 17 years ago.
But now he sat alone in his large bed, staring at the window, hoping for help as he knew he faced another night of terrors that started last month.
Suddenly he heard a slump outside his chambers and a small scuffle before the door slowly creaked open. Orochi stared at the door with bulging eyes as tears and snot started to crawl down his face as the terror within him made his heartbeat up like crazy.
Orochi then stood up from his bed, and suddenly the tone of the air shifted, and Orochi felt himself momentarily lose control of his bowels. "I think I just peed myself," Orochi thought in despair.
Orochi then tried to call out for help, but his voice seemingly forgot how to work as someone, or something unleashed his killing intent. Orochi cowers away from the expanding shadows that seemed to fuse before they reveal…. nothing!
"I must be hearing things!" Orochi muttered before giving himself a relief to calm himself down, "That bitch Toki! Her prophecy is too early for them ghosts to come out."
"OROCHI!" A voice bellowed.
Orochi lets a shriek of surprise, whirls around to see his greatest nightmare staring directly into his eyes, and scurries away, screaming at the top of his lungs, "GUARDS, HELP! FUKUROJOU! SOMEONE, HE IS BACK! KOZUKI ODEN IS BACK! SENIYAMRU, COME AND PLACE A BARRIER! PLEASE!"
"They won't be coming…" a cool soft voice muttered from the shadows before it continued, "They are all sleeping just like last time, thanks to my Genjutsu."
Orochi just lets out a weak whimper as he sees the ghostly form of Kozuki Oden staring at him with absolute loathing casting no shadows or a reflection on his bronze mirror. But unlike last time, Oden had someone else with him. Moreover, the person was very much alive, unlike his ghostly companion inspecting the room with a black-clothed cloak hood and a kitsune mask that was currently plastered as sketches for the notorious criminal across all the regions.
The masked warrior was in chambers armed to the teeth judging by the two katanas he had and the pouch and string of kunai and shuriken.
"Why?" Orochi asks as he shivers in deep fear at the sight of Oden and the masked man.
Oden's face contorted into anger, disgust, and hatred as he talked back to Orochi with a snarl and howled, "WHY?! YOU HAVE THE NERVE TO ASK ME WHY!?"
"I AM SORRY, ODEN! IT'S ALL KAIDO'S FAULT! HE FORCED ME," sobbed Orochi as snot and tears flowed down his face, seemingly shrank in fear.
"You think we are that stupid!" the masked man mutters with deep disgust, "You must hit your head when you were a kid!"
Orochi's eyes narrow at the comment before he spat in the direction of the masked man and snarls, "Why are you even here?"
"How do you think Oden is out of the afterlife?" the masked man explained with an evil chuckle, "I found him in the afterlife when I was meditating and listened to his request to summon his soul to the castle so he can torment you at every night he wants to."
"Torment me?" squeaked Orochi.
"I want you to burn… just as you burned down my family!" Oden growled with a malicious smile, "But this sage convinced me to do it slow and build it up for years until I finally burn you alive."
"Yeah, we have an agreement…" the masked man "The problem is he can't hurt you because Oden is a ghost. But unlike Oden I am made of flesh and blood so…. Ninja Art: Bitch Slap Jutsu!"
SLAP
The masked man swung down hard across Orochi's face that it knocked Orochi across the room and landed on some of his furniture. Orochi blinked out the stars in his vision as he saw the vicous grin on Oden's face.
"That was for calling my wife a bitch," Oden said with eyes that promised pain and death, "Keep my wife's name out your fucking mouth!"
Orochi felt the dribble of blood pouring down his mouth and felt powerlessness, just like all these years in poverty and being hunted as a Kurozumi Clan member. This powerlessness turned into deep anger and hatred as he pointed a shaking finger at the two grinning enemies.
"You will pay for this ODEN!" Orochi growled venomously as his body shifted and transformed into an eight-headed snake and roared out, "YOU WILL PAY ODEN!"
Both men tensed at the transformation of the shogun but kept their unfazed relaxed expressions as Orochi multiple heads roared and threatened, "I will torture your son and amputate his limbs, keep him alive and make him kiss my feet and serve and my descendants until the day he dies."
The masked man just began to clean his fingers with a kunai blade as Orochi continued to yell obscene threats, "Your daughter I will serve to the celestial dragons as a toy whore…. I know they are alive after jumping through time along with the retainers! When they come… I will make them regret being born as your children! I will-"
"Shut up." The masked man whispered with a forceful voice that sent shivers through the body of Orochi, "Do you know why I don't snap your neck right where you stand…. Because I understand the desire of revenge and the feeling of its satisfaction…. I have an enemy that I hate more than you and Kaido!" the masked man roared out as he pressed a fist across his heart.
The masked man took a deep breath before pure overpowering willpower exploded as he yelled out at Orochi with all his might, "I WILL MAKE THAT SATISFACTION COME TRUE ONE DAY! AND I WILL HELP THE KOZUKI CLAN TO GET THE SATISFACTION FROM YOUR LONG-DRAWN-OUT DEATH!"
"How is this possible!" Orochi mentally screamed as he felt something he rarely felt in his life thoughts full of fear and horror filled him as he struggled to stay conscious from the pure overpowering willpower exploding from the masked man that shifted the air and cracked wood before he passed out with a frothing mouth, "This is just like Oden and Kaido! He is not at their level… I never expected him to have Conqueror's Haki!"
"Eh? Did he just pass out before I finish!" the masked man muttered before kicking one of multiple lying heads on the floor, but there was no response. the masked man began groaning as his shoulders slump, "Great, so fucking great! I had a lot of things to mess with him before he passed out!"
The masked man formed a hand sign, and the ghostly form turned into Naruto before it faded away with a poof…
Suddenly deep pain racked within Naruto chakra network as he felt something foreign mixing with the chakra… Another source of energy that Naruto tried to push out of his chakra vessel to reduce the pain. Naruto felt the mysterious energy fade away within his body until he found small traces of it that seemed to fluctuate between three stages of color. Feeling the pain fading away Naruto slumped to the floor with an exhausted look as he looked at knocked out montorus form of Orochi.
"That energy… was it Haki? " Naruto thought with pained face as he body still felt phantom pain, "Does it hurt others like it did to me? I don't think so, is it because I am different from the rest due to chakra?"
"Note to self," Naruto tells himself in his mind, "DO NOT TOUCH THE EXTRA ENERGY WITHOUT FIGURING THE PROBLEM."
"The clone Justu with transformation is great for ghost pranks." muttered the masked man as he pulled off his mask to reveal Naruto's face, the masked man said, "Using the Edo Tensei will make it better but there is no sacrifice to use, and I am not defiling the grave in Oden's castle."
"Now, I still need to do something that will make him cry!" Naruto muttered as he looked at the sealing scrolls labelled as pranks materials, "I have animal manure… orange paint…. A rude drawing poster that shows all the nicknames I have for him!"
Naruto's ears then pricked as they heard the city bells ring loudly, signaling the sighting of a certain individual.
"Whelp, I am out of here…" Naruto muttered as he pressed the kitsune mask back onto his face and escaped Orochi's castle heading to his room in Kyoshiro's mansion, "The entire flower capital becomes a lockdown once Ushimitsu Kozo is seen!
Naruto entered through the window as he saw a shadow figure across the rooftops, for a moment his eyes locked with the midnight thief of the capital that stole from the rich and gifted the poor people of wano. Naruto then lied down on his bed and thought, "I am tired."
A/N: Hello R8Handman, sorry I haven't posted in a while I was planning the rest of the story and what happens next to the story before writing this chapter. I also have a new beta by the account of Masamune X23. He helped me a lot with chapter. Now I have been hearing that some of my earlier chapter need rewriting, which I will be doing before posting the next chapter. Well Naruto have been secretly visiting Orochi disguised as Oden's Ghost.
For those who will ask why Naruto learned the Edo Tensei he wanted to revive Sasuke to undo Infinite Tsukuyomi. His ashes were not enough when he tried to summon him with a white Zetsu sacrifice… SO HE KNOWS THE JUSTU… IN FACT HE TRIED EVERYTHING TO UNDO IT… HE EVEN BECAME A CRAZY SCIENTET LIKE OROCHIMARU ON SOME WHITE ZESTSU CLONES TO FIND A WAY TO UNDO THE NIGHTMARE HE WAS IN. The lab is just a backup plan if Black Zetsu comes for Naruto… Naruto has a feeling he is not done with Black Zetsu and wants revenge but is holding it in so he won't end up like Sasuke when he found about Itachi's death.
And for those who say Naruto morals don't match with what was shown you need to understand that Naruto has a cruel and merciless side to him dur the years alone. Being with the villagers and building the village is just bringing his good side in the light.

BoredAsUsual34 CH 7: Currently the story would be revolving around Wano but in the near future Naruto and Yamato will travel around the world and the grand line. Now you mentioned Naruto having Haoshoku Haki or Haki in general. He just gained access to it without knowing it as he yelled at Orochi. A symbolism of a Conqueror's facing a fake ruler and putting him at his place.
larmmason CH7: Yeah, Naruto is no god but he is a shinobi and a human one. Just take a look at how Haki hurled him when he used a power not meant for his body. His body is meant to us e chakra only and him having the tailed beasts sleeping within him and not supporting him to replenish chakra and healing him… will affect his stamina levels.
savitarsurffer CH7: I like to think Haki is a power blessed to fight devil fruit users. The humans of Naruto world are different than the humans in One Piece. Being blessed with the ability to harness chakra due to Hagoromo and Kaguya changed them forever. Yin energy or spiritual energy does not come from willpower like Haki. Instead, Spiritual energy is derived from the mind's consciousness and can be increased through studying, meditation, and experience. Look at how Haki reacted with the chakra Network. It's a nerf for Naruto as he can't use too dependently until he figures it out.
