Gulping down the boneless fish he had been getting for the past decade prepared by the guards outside the rusted cage on the orders of the Shogun, he ignored the poison within the fish that his insides turned over and over each day, intending to weaken him to submission. But the experience was nothing compared to the regrets he had.
Out of nowhere, his rusted cage began to vibrate and rattle. Peering outside, Kawamatsu saw the entire workforce and guards pose as the ground continued to rumble and shake the entire prison. Suddenly an ear-splitting roar made all within the prisoner mine clasp their ears in pain.
Kawamatsu repeatedly blinked, trying to shake off his throbbing eardrums, thinking, "That's not Kaido."
Suddenly the wall he was leaning on caved in, and he was buried under it as something huge smashed through it.
The last thing Kawamatsu the Kappa saw before being buried under an avalanche of rubble was a tremendously large creature with a monkey's head covered with a white mane. Its tanuki's body had tiger legs, a white snake for a tail, and its glowing yellow eyes hungered for something.
-UDON An Hour Later -
Naruto had been piggybacking Tama across the Land Of Wano, intending to calm down Nue.
Tama was lucky to survive being the vessel of the Gozu Tenno, but there were still awaiting consequences for her being the vessel. As the Gozu Tenno was now empty of Nue, there wasn't any strain on his foster sister. But Nue shouldn't be allowed to continue to rampage. Innocent people's lives were possibly at stake-
It's too late for that sentiment. Innocent prisoners could already have died.
He was standing over a cliff overlooking the smoky ruins of the prisoner mine that once resembled a blooming flower. Nue had trashed the place. Its towers had been knocked down, and the quarry and iron works had been stopped as large fires and smoke were being put out.
Naruto then shot a guilty look at the smoking prison. This prison was the most requested site to be liberated by people working in his hidden villages. Naruto always responded and told them he would do something about it.
According to his reports, the prisoners were worked to death, and amputation and torture were used to quiet down rebellious prisoners.
Truthfully, Naruto felt and knew that if he created and led a vast prison break to free every prisoner in this place. But, then, he would set the alarm and suspicion across every official, and they began to ask questions about how and why it happened.
Like where does someone hide and take all these prisoners at once? What happened to the people of the empty ghost villages and abandoned towns?
The villages continued to exist only because they didn't exist in Orochi or his men.
He was a powerful Ninja, a Jinchuriki, a human sacrifice for power, but that didn't mean he was all-powerful. Instead, he was Uzumaki Naruto, a ninja who failed at the time that mattered the most.
Instead of suffering forever till they died, some of these prisoners got quick mercy from Nue.
"Just like our dear and comrades friends at our hand?" A voice whispered in his mind.
Naruto blanched at that voice and thought, "Who was that? Kurama! Anyone!"
The voice didn't reply. Suddenly Tama Naruto looked at a heavily lidded Tama, weakly pointing in a direction muttering, "He went that way." She then winces in pain before she clutches the pulsing seal on the back of her neck and whispers, "I can feel him."
"You can feel him?" Naruto asks Tama with deep concern, "His emotions or his presence?"
Tama lifts her exhausted face before she nods tiredly, "Both… He is lashing out at why all the people are sad and terrified… He can't deal with all their anger at once?"
Where is he going?
"He is going to spring?"
"Oh god he is like Kurama… he can sense negative emotions, but unlike Kurama he becomes a rampaging beast when drawn to people's negative emotions." Naruto whispered in horror.
Looking down at his side, he was weaponless, except for the sword he stole from the Sarutobi. He then looked at Tama with a severe expression, "O-Tama… I don't want to ask you this-"
"I will do it!" Tama quickly responded.
Naruto began to feel wariness as he said, "You don't even know what you are getting yourself into?"
"I don't care, because you will always save me!" Tama said with a wide grin, "Because you are the strongest person in Wano!"
Naruto then bit back a chuckle and raised an eyebrow at her faith in him and his strength before a soft smile crept on his face.
"Hop on!" Naruto said to her.
Tama hopped on his back and clutched herself tight on his shoulders. Something caught the corner of Naruto's eye. He felt a soft smile. An impossible sight in this wasteland due to history.
Kozuki Oden's last stand against Kaido had charred the region and washed away the soil for vegetation. But alas, the miracle of Hashirama cells and the wood style within them had begun to cause sprouts of many plants to grow all over the area of Nue's rampage.
FLOWER CAPITAL: Shogun castle.
Hiyori bit down the bile in her throat as she served another cup of sake to the shogun.
"Semimaru, that's enough! I got bored with your song!" Orochi said drunkenly.
"Of course, Orochi-sama." Semimaru said as he stopped playing with his lute.
"Good!" Orochi said before booking around the room, "Good, good, good, good... Komurasaki. I want you to play that one now!"
Hiyori said before reaching her Kimino and drawing out her kitsune fox mask that was given to her by Narutomaki four years ago. She then began to play Moon Princess. The tune and strings were strummed out by the bachi.
"That's it! That's it! That's the music!" Orochi said with pleasure, "I love it!"
"I wonder why…." a geisha whispers to her colleague, "Whenever Big Sis Komurasaki plays that music, she puts on that mask."
Suddenly the sound of distant bells began to echo throughout the palace. Pausing in confusion, Hiyori blinked the tears of grief and anger out of her eyes as she saw the saucer cups rattle and spill sakes.
Suddenly she began to hear distant screams and a distant rumbling that was growing louder.
"Orochi-sama!" Fukurujou yelled as he jumped down from the rooftop.
"What Fukurujou! Can't you see there is a feast!" Orochi yelled in anger.
"Orochi-sama!" Fukurujou protested, "This is a serious matter!"
Orochi just scowled before he looked over to Semimaru.
Fukurokuju rushed to the banquet hall doors, where the palace balcony was, and opened the doors.
Shock and horror filled all the residents and guests within as they observed
"What the hell is that?"
Denjiro immediately clasped his sword and muttered, "That thing is huge, it is even bigger than the mountain god."
Hiyori gasped as her eyes locked into huge glowing yellow eyes.
Immediately the being began to sniff for something, and then it tilted its head slowly and minuscule on the side of the banquet hall where Orochi sat. Then tilted back its head towards her.
Suddenly she felt an urge to push Orochi off the balcony, and looking at Denjiro, he wasn't faring any better. His hand was twitching on his drawn blade, poised for the giant beast, but it was slowly shifting towards Orochi. Denjiro's expression was anger and disgust, but still, there was profound restraint in his expression.
"You mustn't, Denjiro-san!" she whispered before grabbing his arm to calm him down before he struck Orochi. "All those years of hard work will be for naught!"
I can't… there is something inside me that's making me... Look, even those below us can't resist it!"
Hiyori looked down the balcony and saw swarms of injured people, Capitol Citizens and Ebisu Town citizens alike, staring at Orochi with intense hatred and rage etched on their faces. Many held blazing torches and kitchen knives, and some samurai had their blades drawn.
Hiyori's eyes scanned briefly on the crowd before she blinked in surprise.
"Wait… No is that-"
She blinked again, and the person she saw was gone.
"Orochi-sama… this is an open rebellion!"
"Contact Kaido!" Orochi snarled in displeasure, "Make him deal with them!"
"Orochi-sama...I am afraid Kaido-sama isn't here!"
"What!"
"He left on an expedition 4 months ago… remember?" Semimaru reminded him with a tense voice.
"He is an idiot, isn't he?" An echoing voice chirped across the city before it growled in surprise, "Did I just speak?!"
Immediately all the crowds dropped their weapons, and the urge to push Orochi off the balcony within Hiyori went away. Instead, Denjiro's blade shifted back in the direction of the beast.
Hiyori whirled her head towards the source of the voice and blanched. Then, her body trembling with fear, she whispered with a bated breath, "No way!"
"That thing speaks…." Semimaru muttered with a deep frown before asking, "A devil fruit user?"
Orochi's look of fear had been replaced with greed and anticipation, "You must be one… Hey, you! Imagine everything you want, Food, Money, Women, Fame, Power, Anything you want, I can give it to you! Just ask! "
Intelligence glittered in these yellow eyes before they blinked, and the beast asked, "I don't understand these terms…. But I want something very badly!"
Hiyori thought that Orochi having a beast like this on his side would be a disaster.
She then asked the beast, "What is your name?"
The beast's gigantic eyes blinked before its nostrils snorted and spoke, "My name… I was given a name by my creator-"
"NUE!" a voice called out across the flower capital, "CALM DOWN! THERE IS NO NEED TO DO THIS!"
Hiyori looked upwards and saw a shadow flitting across the smoky sky. The shadow then landed upwards on the mane of the beast.
"Is that…" Denjiro muttered while he peered to see the figure that stood at the beast's head.
"Of course it was him," Fukurukujou muttered as he gnashed his teeth in anger, "I sent my Ninjas after him, he sent a monster right into the capital."
"Get off me!" Nue growled at the figure before he shook his head. Surprisingly the man didn't even budge or shift his balance.
"Look… You are making a lot of noise!" the figure told him, "Just do what you want quickly!"
Nue then growled out in irritation and then began to charge towards the palace with deceptive speeds. The sound of thunderous footsteps and collapsing buildings
"HEY!" Hiyori heard the person yelling, "Knock it off! There are-"
"Behind me now!" Denjiro shouted before he shielded her with his body and swept his sword.
The last thing Hiyori saw before the beast impacted the palace was the beast called Nue and the figure she now recognized as the masked man who caused trouble for Orochi and his men.
SMASH
Naruto groaned in pain as he lay on the cold stone floor. Nue had rammed him through the palace. The falling pieces of wooden planks from the floors above clattered around him, their impacts echoing as they hit the stone floor.
"Wait stone floor?" thought Naruto with a sudden realization, "This castle is definitely made out of wood!"
Naruto drew himself upright and looked around the dim room only lit by the light from the hole above him. Naruto could barely see the room contents. He then grabbed the sword he stole from Sarutobi, only to realize it was missing.
"It must have fallen off when I was thrown here by Nue," Naruto groaned.
Letting his chakra flow into his palm, the chakra condensed into a pulsing orb of light made of chakra that lightened the room.
Strangely the room had rows of Kokeshi dolls and rows of katanas mounted on walls and stands. Naruto grabbed a blade and inspected it.
"This craftsmanship!" Naruto muttered in surprise before checking the other's blades. All of them were made by one person. Someone he knew very well.
Looking behind himself, Naruto muttered, "So there was another one here?"
Naruto was facing a massive blue cubic stone. Inspecting the Poneglyph, it seemingly had the same ancient scripture.
"How many of those Poneglyph exist?" Naruto thought and then frowned. "And more importantly why are the dolls and swords of that person lying in a basement under the shogunate palace?"
Reaching for the racks of swords, Naruto grabbed two unsheathed swords and took a couple of practice swings, feeling the sword resting comfortably in his hands.
Another rumble shook the castle making Naruto glance up at the hole he was smashed
through and mutter, "Nue must be causing havoc up there,"
Naruto began to weave a couple of hand signs and then slammed his hand onto the earth as he flowed chakra through it and muttered, "Earth Release: Moving Earth Core."
Feeling the terrain rumble, Naruto jumped and began to walk on the hole's surface.
Denjiro grasped Hiyori firmly, protecting her from the beast that had already demolished half of the Shogun Palace.
Semimaru had conjured translucent barriers of energy that were visibly transparent, resembling panes of glass. The barriers were shaped around Orochi and him.
"Don't worry, Orochi-sama." Semimaru muttered at the Kurozumi clan head, "We are safe in here."
"Gufuhahahahaha!" Laughed Orochi as relief and laughter shook his entire body, "You are right Semimaru… I am safe here! These barriers even managed to keep Oden out! No one can come here and hurt me."
The beast that was called Nue swiped a claw onto the barrier, only for it to bounce off upon impact on the barrier. A couple of repeated tries to break the barrier shook the castle, but the beast barely made a scratch on it.
Suddenly the beast paused for a breath, and the earth underneath him began to rumble, and suddenly a section of the earth was elevating and pushing Nue into the sky. Nue flew into the air and disappeared before his impact on the ground set off a deep rumbling earthquake.
"What the hell was that?" Denjiro muttered with a cautious voice.
"That would be my fault…" a voice said behind him.
Denjiro and Hiyori whirled around to see the masked man looking, looking no worse for wear despite him being slammed through the palace and scratching the back of his head before chuckling. Orochi just let a whimper at the sight of the man.
"Oh, Orochi!" the masked man said with a threatening and mocking voice.
"STOP HIM RIGHT THERE!" Orochi howled out in fear.
But it was too late; the masked man jumped off the balcony and hit the capital rooftops running to the capital's west gate.
Tama just stared at the Shogun Palace. Well, half of the Shogun Palace, Nue had just torn it in half by ramming his head into it and sweatdropped as she saw Nue struggling to extract his head from the mess he made.
Already the Samurai were posing with their blades and Rifles at Nue. Strangely she felt affection for the beast; Nue reminded her of the Komainu called Komachiyo. He died a couple of years back, and it still hurts.
Suddenly, she felt the ground shift, and a rocky pillar erupted out of the earth and slammed into Nue, pushing him into the sky and the edge of the plateau where the flower capital lay.
Suddenly she found herself hoisted by her brother, who ran so fast that the wind howled in her ears. He skidded to a stop next to Nue, looking a bit miffed, "I want the idiot with a crown… the negativity of his emotions is too tasty."
"I helped in your creation, and you siphoned a huge chunk of my chakra to be this size. Naruto complained, "I know your diet is composed of chakra and negative emotions! But that's enough for one day. You trashed my lab and destroyed the Prison Quarry in Udon. Leave the Flower Capital alone!"
"Even if you had a hand in my creation , why should I listen to you?" Nue growled out.
"Honestly, I am just surprised you can speak!" Naruto rambled as he continued to ignore what Nue was saying, "The scroll never mentioned you would be able to do that. Maybe because your genetic source was changed and you are now made out of cells that belong to Hashirama and me-"
Naruto snapped his fingers in sudden realization and whispered, "Of course, you took some of my chakra and a smidge of one of the Tailed Beast's chakra. Their chakra imprint gave you intelligence and the ability to speak like they do."
Nue then raised a paw in an attempt to flatten Naruto. But Naruto just sighed at him and pressed the Gezo Tenno seal behind Tama's neck. The seal glowed red before it summoned a dark swirling rift above Nue.
Nue dug his claws into the ground as the space-time rift began sucking him back to his home dimension. Finally, Nue asks in panicking whimpers, "Wait? What's going on?"
"Oh, The seal itself acts as a gateway to a separate dimension that is your home," Naruto explained to Nue, who was now floating to the rift and shrinking down in size, "The seal is also a gate where you can be summoned from."
With that, Nue disappeared into the rift, which closed on itself. At that instant, Tama collapsed to the earth and passed out cold.
Immediately Naruto knew what to do and gingerly picked her up and headed back to Amigasa Village.
-Okagakure Village-
Hitetsu stared at the scroll he secretly took from his student two days ago. But there were more important things now, the meeting with the village representatives was tomorrow. All of them were highly loyal to the Kozuki Clan.
He was about to look for Narutomaki when the gates of the mansion slammed open, and his student rushed in carrying something in his arm.
Hitetsu stood stunned as he felt a sense of foreboding filling him. Narutomaki wasn't smiling. He's always calm demeanor was in shambles; his blue eyes were sunken and hollow.
"What did you do?" whispered Hitetsu in horror.
"It's not my fault!" hissed Narutomaki with deep anger and regret, "They weren't supposed to be there and messed up everything. I was going to destroy it but they interfered with everything and it lead to her.."
Realizing what was in his arm, tears began to form in Hitetsu eye's as he took Tama from Narutomaki's arms, "So the girl we looked after is dead? Our Tama is dead?!"
"No!" The blond man yells in denial, "I refuse for that to happen!"
"What are you talking about?" Hitetsu said in confusion before he checked her pulse, "She has a pulse, but it's…."
"It's weak and it's getting weaker!" Naruto said, "She is dying or going to die if I don't help her!"
"So help O-Tama! Save her!" Hitetsu yells at him as he cradles Tama, Just like you saved all of us. Everyone in one of your villages has been saved from hell!"
Naruto was there in silence before whispering, "I don't know if I can save her…."
"You made two Meitos in less than a month of training!" Hitetsu pleaded with encouragement, "If you can do that, you can definitely save Tama…."
Ashura then burst into the mansion, a look of alarm and fear on his face as he panted, "Emergency. This is an emergency…."
Ashura then took a deep breath. "A giant beast has rampaged across Wano. Udon is in shambles and half of the Capital has been turned into rubble."
"I already dealt with Nue," Naruto told him before he buried his face in his hands. "And it led to this!"
"Can't you do anything to help her?"
"Problem is I know what she needs!" Naruto said as he banged his head on the wall with frustration, "But it could kill her from the pain and the shock… I don't want her to die like that!"
"But you can save her?" Hitetsu whispered.
"It's a slim possibility," Naruto said with a glim of hope in his eyes, "As what she needs now as a vessel of the Gozu Tenno is a complete and active chakra network that this human race never developed."
"What do you mean?" Hitetsu asked in confusion.
"In other words, she will be similar to me…." Naruto answered him as he took Tama back and saw her feverish expression, "If she survives and gains control over her Chakra Network and Nue. She has the potential to be the strongest and most brilliant Kunoichi Wano had ever produced."
"She already has the potential for that!"
"Yeah, your apprentice is quite something Shinobu."
"Right I can't delay this any longer, clear my office and evacuate the the mansion this is going to be a long night."
- 1 week later - FLOWER CAPITAL
"You have seen the view Denjiro-san, haven't you?" Hiyori said she saw the balcony with a mystified look. At this height, she could see further beyond the edges of the Flower Captial. The past week, something changed after the beast called Nue invaded the flower capital.
Yes, the Flower Captial had suffered as half of it had been destroyed, and many people were injured, but miraculously there were no fatalities.
Where there was once a dusty barren waste is now a lush blooming forest, providing vegetation that cools the land and collects droplets of dew and water. Surprisingly accompanying the forests was massive downpours that lasted for hours.
Denjiro gave her a small nod before smiling with a faraway look in his eyes, "A sight only I remember from my adolescent years and the days serving your father!"
Hiyori then giggled with mirth and happiness, "The people of Ebisu Town have only enough food and water to live in peace."
"But Orochi isn't happy about it," Denjiro mused before explaining, "Udon, Kibi and even Hakumi landscape have returned to what they have been. Nobody knows the cause of the forests and trees blooming again in Wano. Most of the land in these regions was infertile and poisonous. But these trees seem to be sucking and absorbing the polluted land and enriching them. Even under Orochi's orders burning them down resulted in them regrowing faster."
"What about Kuri and Ringo?" Hiyori asked with a raised eyebrow
"As you know it's too cold in Ringo for crops and forests to grow," Denjiro told her with a sigh, "But vast sections of Kuri still contain vegetation only because of Kaido's grudging respect to your father, and the parched lands within them are nearly overgrown with trees."
"Is that a good thing or a bad thing?" Hiyori asked with a confused look.
"I don't know." Denjiro said with a smirk, "But Orochi isn't amused by any of this and has been in a bad mood for the past week. Of course, half of his castle being demolished didn't help."
"What about him?"Hiyori asked in a hushed voice, "Kaido? What will he think of this?"
"He still hasn't returned from his expedition…." Denjiro mutters before assuring Hiyori, "If the factories keep pumping out weapons, he doesn't find any rebels. He probably won't really care that much."
Suddenly a knock echoed on the room door, and Denjiro called out, "Enter!"
The door slid open, and Narutomaki stumbled in with an unreadable expression on his face.
"Narutomaki-san!" Hiyori cried out as she grabbed him before he fell flat on his face.
"Oh, Komurasaki…" Narutomaki mutters with a tired smile, "It's been a while."
"But we just saw you last week."
"It has been a long week for me. My sister-"
Another Knock rapped the door this time, and Narutomaki closed his eyes and ignored it.
"That's strange…." Hiyori thought as she looked closer at Narutomaki, "He is always dutiful to us. So why now?"
Taking a closer look at him, Hiyori realized Narutomaki now had an unkempt appearance.
The door slid open, and behind it was Kurozumi Semimaru, frowning heavily.
"Kyoshiro…" Semimaru growled in a displeased voice, "We need to talk."
Naruto had a tremendous headache. A headache from overusing the shadow clones during the entirety of this week. The Meeting between his village representatives and those lessons. During the week that Nue caused chaos across the land, many things happened, and more consequences were bound to happen. But above what happened was Tama.
"Oh, Tama… Oh, poor Tama…." Naruto thought with closed eyes.
His self-monologue was interrupted by one old guy. Kurozumi Semimaru, the old man with a lute that could conjure barriers, was one of the last family members of the Kurozmi Clan.
"We need to talk." the withering old man growled out.
Naruto's eyes snapped open as his negative emotion flared unconsciously before focusing on sensing negative emotions, "This man is heavily suspicious, but who is he suspicious of?" Naruto thought before his hand slowly crept towards his cursed blade.
Kyoshiro caught sight of that, but he made no heed of it.
Instead, he smiled and said, "What is it, Semimaru-sama?"
"For the last week everything has been hectic. The poor people of wano who don't deserve a scrap of our waste are living in bliss somehow to the new forests." Semimaru muttered in a displeased voice, "The Shogun Castle has been nearly demolished along with half of the Flower Capital, none of the rebels who swarmed the district have been caught."
Semimaru caught his breath before he continued his ranting.
"The masked man escaped again! And Kaido nor his officers are here to deal with this disaster. Only low ranking soldiers are sent from Onigashima," Semimaru paused before he snapped even further, "Oh and I forgot the red scabbard we had imprisoned escaped from Udon prison Quarry along with a quarter of the prisoners."
Naruto just secretly smiled inward and thought, "Oh Nue… Were you a blessing or a Curse."
To his surprise, these words didn't trigger any negative emotions from Komuraski and Kyoshiro. Instead, the only negative emotions he could sense, thanks to Kurama's chakra dwelling within him from Komuraski and Kyoshiro, were disgust, rage, and hatred directed at Semimaru.
"But you know what ?" Semimaru asked as he glanced around the room, "There is something bothering me even more."
"Well what is it?" Komuraski asked with a raised eyebrow.
Why did Kyoshiro protect you instead of Orochi?"
Immediately the room atmosphere turned tense.
"You know I have been thinking about it for the entire week," Semimaru told them with a gleam in his eyes, "And I am here to find out the secret. I have this mansion surrounded by samurai and ninjas…."
Now Naruto sensed Komurasaki starting to panic, and Kyoshiro was no longer smiling. Instead, his expression was grim, and he clutched his katana.
Immediately, Kyoshiro was cocooned in a barrier as Semimaru crossed his finger. Shock and alarm flashed over Kyoshiro's face before his face turned into frustration.
"Now I am going to rephrase the question in another way," Semimaru growled out. "Kyoshiro, why is Komurasaki more important to you than the Shogun?"
Kyoshiro remained silent before growling, "You will get nothing out of me."
Slowly and silently, Naruto walked over to Semimaru's side, much to the shock of Kyoshiro and Komurasaki. He then knelt close to Semiamru and whispered in his ear, "I know who the masked man is !"
Surprise flashed on Seimimaru's face before he stroked his chin and looked over the balcony while still crossing his fingers.
As Semiamru faced away from them, Naruto then formed the ram seal and immediately sent Yin chakra to his mind before he transmitted it right into Komuraski and Kyoshiro, establishing a telepathic link. Bless theYamanakaa clan with their Jutsu.
"Secret Jutsu: Mind Transmission Jutsu," Naruto whispered before he sent a telepathic message to both of them, "All right we are cornered, and it's kind of my fault so I am going to try and get us out of this."
"What!/What!"
"Stop yelling, it's my Justu." Naruto telepathically said, "I am currently speaking in your mind. So to send a message just think of the words."
"Okay, just leave me and protect her?"
"No way Denjiro-san!" protested
"Wait, you are Denjiro, one of the Akayaza Nine?!"
"Yes and we know that you have met Ashura Doji!"
"How-" Naruto asked with great surprise before answering, "Yes I know him, and Shinobu! Also-"
Denjiro then closed his eyes as he made up his mind and telepathically said, "This woman here is Kozuki Hiyori! Protect her with your life! I beg of you!"
Naruto then looked at Hiyori and realized the profound implications of what Nue's rampage had caused. What he had caused.
"There is no need for that…." Naruto told them telepathically, "I have a plan for both of you to maintain your cover in the Flower Capital!"
"What's the plan then!" Hiyori asked pleadingly.
"Out myself as the masked man who committed heinous crimes against the shogunate." Naruto muttered with a grim voice,
"NO! NARUTOMAKI! You can't!" protested Hiyori in shock, "You will be executed if you get caught."
"You two spent years getting close to Orochi by serving him. I am not letting that effort be for nothing! It's my fault Semimaru became suspicious of you two," Naruto told her while looking directly at her eyes with a calming expression, "Besides, Kaido will be hunting me down for the latest stunt with Nue."
Denjiro nodded in agreement before stating, "He will hunt you down. I don't know how strong you are, but I hope you can survive what's coming for you."
"So why didn't you come with this information," Semimaru asked Naruto as he whirled around and stared directly at him.
Naruto then unfurled a terrifying grin across his face and confessed, "Because I am the masked man."
Shock and horror flashed across Semimaru face before his eyes began to bulge out in horror, and he screamed. Then, in a flash, Naruto drew one of his swords and aimed for a strike at the old man's neck, aiming to lop his head.
Instead, his Nidai Kitetsu hit a shimmering barrier with a resounding clang. Semimaru had undone the barrier around Denjiro and one protecting him.
"Excuse me, but did you keep your suspicions to yourself ?" Naruto asked Semimaru with a questioning look.
"Of course, I had to confirm things before reporting this to someone!" Semimaru grunted as he kept the barrier before asking him, "You know these are unbreakable?"
"Every jutsu has its weakness." Naruto countered him, "For one, you can't move around that barrier to escape. You know, it's a prison for you, you know."
Semimaru undid the barrier and wrapped one around Naruto before facing Hiyori and Denjiro with an annoyed look.
Suddenly Naruto within the barrier puffed to smoke, and another Naruto smashed into the room and delivered a fist straight into the stomach of the surprised elder.
Semimaru felt something crack within his body before he was sent flying through the balcony scaffolding and into the streets.
"Shadow clones with substitution," Naruto muttered, "That geezer never stood a chance trapping me."
"Narutomaki-san…" Hiyori said softly, making Naruto face her as she whispered, "Thank you!"
Naruto gave her a soft smile and chuckled, "Anything for you princess!"
Hiyori then blushed before asking sadly, "You won't be coming back after this?"
"Yes, there is no turning back from this," Naruto told her with a severe look," I will clear any suspicion that fell on you."
Naruto then brought out the mask he always wore and placed it on his head before leaping outside to the rasping old man. Immediately he was surrounded by a bunch of ninjas and samurai.
As Naruto gazed at them, his thoughts turned to what had happened to Tama.
-FLASHBACK: SEVEN DAYS AGO -
"Hold still!" Naruto yelled before stopping using Chakra Transfer Justu on Tama and looking at Shinobu for assistance. Shinobu then held down the little girl's arms and began comforting her. Tama had been screaming nonstop since Naruto had started ten minutes ago in an attempt to save her life, and the screaming and thrashing had just started to recede.
Naruto then looked at Tama with an exhausted look and thought, "I knew it…The chakra network doesn't have it. None on this planet have it except for me."
The Chakra Network is enmeshed within the body of one who possesses chakra, its transports the person's chakra through the body and each organ as the circulatory system does for blood. The system is somehow involved in creating chakra itself through training, as every cell in the body is connected to this network by a capillary which draws out the cell's physical energy and is refined into Chakra by several organs, such as the heart. Along the chakra pathways, there are 361 nodes called Chakra Points that control the flow of chakra-like circuit breakers, and within those Chakra, Points are Eight Gates which control body function and strain levels.
Naruto had a theory on how humans in his home world possessed a Chakra Network since they would have been thrashing in pain and possibly killed when the Sage of Six Paths, Ōtsutsuki Hagoromo, had given them his chakra.
When Ōtsutsuki Kaguya trapped humans in the Divine Tree through the Infinite Tsyukomi to harvest a chakra fruit. The chakra fruit had two growth fuels: to make the Divine Tree turn nature energy into chakra and to drain chakra from humans. But humans never possessed chakra before Hagormo's time. So it possibly changed all those trapped in the Divine Tree deep into their genes as it recorded information and harvested chakra within those trapped.
After Kaguya's sons freed the human race from the Divine Tree, they retained these changes. They retained empty chakra networks that could be filled and linked to their life force and passed those changes to their children.
So here, Naruto changed his method, it will be more excruciating for Tama and more dangerous, but it will be the only way to save her. Create a Chakra Network within Tama's body and then transfer his chakra to the network.
"Shinobu, please hold O-Tama down, so she doesn't hurt herself," Naruto mutters with closed eyes before his palm hovers over Tama and begins filling every cell within her body with chakra, thus starting the agonized screams again.
Naruto ignored them before whispering in resignation as tears began streaming down his face, "I am sorry O-Ttama…."
Naruto then increased the chakra flow exponentially, and Tama's screams went to a higher pitch.
- Present time- FLOWER CAPTIAL STREETS
Naruto looked at the frail old man before observing his surroundings and sighed as he saw Fukurokuju look at him with anger.
"Hanzo and Sarutobi have been missing for an entire week-"
"They are dead," Naruto informed him with a callous tone, "And the old geezer from the Kurzomi clan is going to die by my hand today."
Semimaru then opened, "Look for the-agh."
In a flash, and faster than anyone in the street could see, Naruto lifted the old man by his throat, "I already broke one of your ribs. This is just a precaution, so you can't speak again!"
With that, Naruto clenched and dug his fingers into the old man and crushed his windpipe before letting go.
The old man fell to the street, gagging on his blood before he spat out the blood and mucus and then opened his mouth to speak, only for him to rasp and double down coughing.
"Semimaru-sama!" Fukurokuju yelled in concern and rushed to the old man's side.
"Don't worry I just crushed his windpipe," Naruto said as he inspected his hand and fingers, "It's not enough for him to die."
Semeimaru just gave Naruto a terrified look that screamed, WHY?
"Because you insulted my parents…." Naruto thought with a bit of satisfaction.
Naruto then took another step further before his body froze. Looking around, he saw every Shinobi and Kunoichi had the same hand seal. All were circling their index fingers and thumbs.
"A Paralysis Justu?" Naruto mused before snorting, forming a seal with his right hand, flaring and molding his chakra.
Immediately all the tiles on the street roofs began to crack, and small sections began to levitate from the immense strength and quantity of Naruto's chakra. Naruto smirks as he feels the hold on him vanish.
Looking at all of the Ninja, Naruto shakes his head ruefully before he looks at Fukurokuju, who is assisting a weak and fable Semimaru. Fukurokuju had a worried expression as his teeth chattered from fear.
Naruto then looked at Kyosh- No Denjiro's mansion and saw Hiyori peeking out her head.
"What do you want ?" Fukurojou asked in negotiation.
"I spent years trying to infiltrate the rich in the Flower Captial." Naruto said as he looked at his hand before beginning to ramble, "I thought Orochi Money changer Kyoshiro the Napping Yakuza will bring me close enough to Orochi so I can play around with him before killing him."
"You are not sane!" Fukurojou "You know Kaido will kill you for this?"
"Of course he will try!" Naruto chuckled with a deranged smile before he threw back his head and roared to the heavens," I lost more than any of you would ever know… This anger and rage within me make my head feel like it's splitting in two, and my heart just screams to end you all !"
In truth, Naruto was just venting out what he felt about his failures and the promises he never fulfilled back in his home world.
- Onigashima -
Page One was just taking a nap when he was suddenly shaken awake by his elder sister Ulti.
"What's it ?" Page One asked groggily before he noticed Yamato pacing back and forth in his room.
"What's wrong ?" Page One asked her with a confused frown.
"You haven't heard?" Ulti asked him with a raised eyebrow, "The capital hasn't the second distress call this week!"
"And what can we do about it?" Page One asked before slumping, "We know it's Naruto, but it's ringing all week that's too much. Even for him!"
Yamato then stamped her foot hard on the floor for their attention.
Page one then noticed Yamato's stricken face, contorted with worry. Yamato shivered before she showed the den den mushi in her hand and explained, "My dad just called."
"And?" Ulti questioned.
"He just re-"
Yamato was then interrupted by a shrill shriek that echoed across Onigashima,
"Returned, and his fleet is climbing Mogura Port…" Yamato whispered with a terrified expression.
Realizing the implications, both siblings muttered, "Oh Shit !" Before they followed Yamato out of the castle, the live floor. There was a zooming black pteranodon with flames behind his wings, surveying every inch of damage that happened during Ace's and Naruto's visit.
"What's the hell is going on!" "Why does the castle look like it has been torched and there is a distress call from the Flower Captial!"
"Don't ask me!" Yamato said with a shaking head, "I can't leave this island, remember ?"
King frowned before glaring at Page One and Ulti, "Care to explain?"
"I was cooking!/I was taking a nap!" both siblings babbled their excuse.
Suddenly an enraged roar shook the island.
King then turned on his den-den mushi and broadcasted the conversation to Yamato and the siblings.
"MY STATUE!" Kaido wept in horror, "I LIKED THAT STATUE!"
"Calm down, boss! It's not that bad." Queen comforted his boss.
"NOT THAT BAD! I WAS TRYING TO SHOW ONYX HOW COOL MY PLACE IS!"
"Boss, calm down, the new guy is liking this palce!"
"Oh yeah, Onyx welcome to your new home. Jack, show him around!" Kaido growled before yelling and blasting his Conqueror Haki across Onigahima and possibly Wano, "YAMATO! GET YOUR ASS HERE DOWN THIS INSTANT! AND EXPLAIN WHY ARE MY SUBORDINATES SAYING THAT YOU LET THE MASKED MAN IN HERE!"
Yamato then gulped before whispering to Ulti, "I am going to say I was drunk…."
- FLOWER CAPITAL -
Naruto suddenly felt something in the distance, far away, but ignored it. He was having some fun that he deserved after the week he had.
Samurai kept attacking him in rows before he cut them down or knocked them out with strikes from his pommel. Ninjas kept throwing projectiles that he kept deflecting and collecting. All while, Fukurojou dragged an injured Semimaru as Naruto inched closer to them playfully.
After a while, Naruto got bored and yelled out, "STOP!"
Surprisingly all Samurai and Ninjas stopped attacking him. Only Semimaru and Fukurojou kept going.
Feeling a bit peeved, Naruto dug around his kimono and found a spare flask of oil that he kept on himself to start a fire. Immediately he chucked as hard as he could at Semimaru, and it crashed and broke at the back of his head, drenching him in very flammable oil.
"Hey, did you know?" Naruto called out to everyone fighting him, "Since I was a child, I was raised as a Shinobi!"
All enemies shared their curious looks before one called out, "But your swordsmanship is one a Samurai!"
"Bah, I act like Samurai because they are cool!" Naruto told him as he scratched the back of his head, "But a Shinobi has more awesome tricks than the samurai, for example, like the Paralysis Jutsu you all tried on me.
"But that isn't that hard for ninjas, unlike untrained humans."
"Not one of you really understands what Ninjutsu truly is." Naruto said with a smirk before his voice turned haughty, "This is a good opportunity, so I'll show you...what a real Ninjutsu is."
Naruto then extended out his right hand before he began to pour dense chakra into his palm and began to rotate that dense chakra in all directions and contained it with the shape of a sphere.
Taking a step further, Naruto added wind chakra to the Rasengan, but instead of infusing it with sharp wind, Naruto wrapped his air currents around his Rasengan. His Rasengan didn't have the regular shuriken shape. Now his Rasengan was cocooned in a very powerful air current.
Immediately, all his enemies were intimidated as their faces paled and began to scurry away, leaving the old man alone. Semimaru just stood firm and crossed his fingers, and a barrier formed.
"Wind Release: Rasengan, Air Current Version." Naruto whispered before he let the Rasengan loose.
Immediately, a swirling wind roared through the street, blowing everything to smithereens. Once the wind died down and the dust cleared, Naruto could see what had happened. The Main Street of the red light district was gone as the winds had torn the ground. Only a deep trench was left of what remained in the street.
Naruto then saw a shimmering barrier still vibrating from the amount of debris that impacted it at the end of the trench.
Naruto sighed, "I was planning to blast you away, but your barriers are really something."
Semimaru kept crossing his fingers, hoping for someone to save him, but no one came.
"Oh, yeah, and then there's this oil on you." Naruto said as he sniffed the oil on Semiamaru, "Want me to remove it?"
Semimaru then looked at his oil-drenched kimono before he saw Naruto smirk and clap his hands.
Immediately the oil on him sparked before catching a flame, and searing pain was felt across his body.
Naruto watched silently as the man's raspy screams echoed across the city as he died.
"A fitting end for someone like you." Naruto told him before he formed another seal and the flames became white hot.
The last thing Semimaru saw before the fire took away his eyes was a blonde man surveying his burning body to the crowd, asking, "Kurozumi means charcoal?"
Hiyori watched from the balcony of Denjiro's mansion as she saw Orochi approaching the crowd as he rode his steed. Immediately he fired his pistol into the air, scattering. Only Denjiro remained watching with a face that was heavily frowning.
She was informed of the plan telepathically, "Denjiro you should stay by Orochi's side when he comes and then accuse me of betraying you, " He then directed a message toward her, "Stay strong."
Right in the middle of the street, there was an unrecognizable burnt husk of a body. Sitting on the burnt husk was Narutomaki playing the lute without a care in the world.
Orochi just looked on with a shocked face before whispering, "Where is Semimaru-San?"
Narutomaki stood up from the burnt corpse, "He is dead, I burnt him alive for charcoal…" before kicking Semimaru's corpse and breaking the burnt body into pieces of husk, "Never liked the old fart, and I hated him since he insulted my parents."
Orochi blinked in surprise before he began foaming as his face became grief-stricken, screaming in a fury, "I will have you, flayed, skinned, and boiled alive!"
Narutomaki just stared at Orochi as he continued with his tirade of threats of execution.
Denjiro just stepped forward with a hurting look as he called to Narutomaki in an act, "You betrayed me… Why?"
Narutomaki just snaps the lute and throws it at Orochi's feet before smirking, "I was never on anyone's side in the first place! But Kyoshiro-oyabun, you and Komuraski will always have a place by my side if you want to. Join me!"
"Never!" Denjiro says flatly with a dark expression before bowing and prostrating himself to Orochi, "Forgive me Orochi-sama… I tried but I couldn't stop him."
Orochi just wiped the tears in his eyes before sniffing, "I know… and he will pay for his crimes. I suppose he was the masked man all along!"
"Yes! And it shocked me too." Denjiro said.
Suddenly, Narutomaki stood up, drew both of his blades, and looked at the sky with a severe expression. Hiyori did the same from the balcony as she saw the sky above the capital was now swirling with stormy clouds.
"The sky!" A cry echoed down the street, "Look at the sky!"
"He is here?!" Hiyori thought in horror as she steeled her nerves.
Naruto looked at the sky, his face grave as he formulated a getaway plan. He was quickly absorbing and amassing Nature energy with him to mix it with his chakra, and within ten seconds, his blue eyes turned into yellow toad-like pupils, and he gained the orange pigmentation around his eyes that showed the marking of a sage.
Thanks to his training in the past three years, Naruto had trained himself to access the power even quicker than ever and hold on to the power of sage mode for far longer than five minutes. Of all of the things Naruto anticipated. He never anticipated Kaido's return to be unannounced and so sudden.
He never saw Kaido in his dragon form, but he knows Kaido's presence and Ki-
Immediately Naruto whirled around to see a long sturdy beak that belonged to a black and enormous flying pteranodon and aimed to puncture his spine. Dropping his swords and coiling his arm around the beak and flowing senjutsu enhanced chakra throughout his resisting the immense speed and force from King flying directly at him.
Naruto then briefly glanced upwards to see a giant, serpentine, blue-scaled dragon with a massive pair of brown, sharp-pointed horns coming out of its sides and curved slightly to the front before going upward. It also had another pair of horns straight before they split into two. Kaido also had a large, wavy, Fu Manchu mustache that pairs with a spiked goatee across his dragonic chin. Also had a row of large sharp teeth and long and large limbs that had that were clawed.
Kaido then glared his yellow eyes with displeasure at the capital residents before focusing on the scuffle between him and King. Already King's beak had punctured itself an inch into Naruto's torso. Realizing the dire situation, Naruto gathered all of the natural energy and began overfilling himself, already feeling his body shifting into a bloating grotesque half toad and half human.
He then closed his eyes before expelling all of the nature energy out of his body in one blast, creating a shockwave that propelled him off King's beak. Naruto landed on the paved street, rolling before scuffling to his feet, already returning to normal before grabbing his dropped swords.
Immediately his hand went over to the bleeding hole on his abdomen in shock and awe. Naruto thinks, "King managed to leave a hole in my body? When I am in sage mode, my physical strength, speed, stamina, reflexes, perception, and durability are significantly enhanced! That's scary!"
Naruto then felt a shadow fall over him and immediately lifted his head to see King over his head, already shifting back into his human form and wielding a large black katana that was probably infused with ryou. Naruto then let his tremendous amount of chakra into the Nidai Kitetsu and Uzu Uchiwa, creating a constant swirl of chakra around his two blades. Finally, as the swords moved closer to clash with King's ryou-infused blade, Naruto barely managed to return to sage mode.
King's large black katana infused with ryou made contact with the swirling chakra-infused swords of Naruto, and a tremendous clash shook the entire flower capital.
The differing energies in the opposing blades began to crackle as they mixed with one another, producing a rush of energy and light that blinded Naruto and King. Before the unstable energy exploded with immense force that took out half of the city block.
Finally, when the dust settled down, King stepped out from the smoke unharmed as his red eyes looked around the destruction before confirming with his Observation Haki that Naruto had escaped.
"Kaido-san I think he escaped…." King called out to the dragon above the capital skies.
Kaido just lets out an amused snort before coming down and turning normal. He then looked at Orochi with a displeased look and growled, "I leave Wano for four months, and this is what I return to… Large sections of regions have gained forestry, and a beast invaded the Capital and destroyed half of your palace." Kiado then took a sip from his sake gourd and muttered, "Not to mention the pirates who raided Onigashima and now this?"
Kaido then bursts into laughter intoxicated "WORORORORORO!" Kaido, "We have a new recruit to look for! Start a broadcast, so I can talk to him! With Onyx and this Guy I can easily take over the world!"
King just muttered before smirking, "This guy can beat Jack… I agree that he is strong enough for the crew!
- Okagaukre Village -
Naruto had arrived already, feeling his wounds vanish between the scuffle with King.
"Note to self: find out why ryou and chakra react like that whenever contact occurs!" Naruto thought.
Naruto then entered his office discreetly and began working on his paperwork.
"You are back early," a young feminine voice said behind him, making him jump in surprise. "What happened Big Bro?"
Naruto swiveled around to see a tall teenage kunoichi with delicate features, with violet eyes. Her long dark-violet hair was pulled back into a high ponytail, and she was dressed in a dark green sleeveless kunoichi outfit with sakura petals. She was now reading a scroll he had given her on how to use chakra. It surprised him no matter how often Naruto saw her like this, a week ago she was a kid, now she is biologically sixteen years old. At her side was the katana he made two weeks ago, Sakura Ringu. The girl then clutched the back of her neck where the Gozu Tenno seal resided.
Naruto smiled softly and fondly at her, "So how are you feeling Tama-chan !"
A/N: Hello R8handman is here, sorry for the delay but you never expected this did you! So my other fanfiction didn't work out that well, I spent a lot of time on it but I scrapped the idea. So Univercity is starting in two weeks… there is a chance another chapter will come sooner than later. What happened with Tama will be explained in the next chapter.
